Rachel Roth Even Raven understood the need for physical training, despite her powers being more mystical than most members of the team. With her costume worn, cloak and all, the pale half-demon girl weaved and ducked between the swings and slashes of the holographicly projected swordsmen that might be some sort of League of Shadows duplicate.

No offence just yet, instead she seemed to be focused on evasion for the time being.
Cassie Sandsmark Black yoga pants with hollow gold stars, a sleeveless top in blue with red shoulders bisected with a gold =W= emblem. Some comfy red hi-top canvas sneakers with stars replacing the usual Converse labelling. And her blonde hair held back by a red hairband. And as ever, the Bracers of Submission on her wrists, and her lasso at her hips.

That was the outfit Cassie Sandsmark had chosen to train in. The swordsman projected into the 'Danger Room' a name the Titans clearly swiped from the X-Men, getting their weapons blocked with the clang of simulated metal against actual metal of her bracers.

The blonde's lips curled into a smile that clearly shows she's having fun, or possibly at least enjoying what might be a warm up.
Nadia Pym A healthy mind needs a healthy body. And that's why Nadia genetically altered herself in lots of subtle ways to ensure she's in peak physical condition even on a diet of burgers, coffee, and very little sleep.

Still you don't need to be into exercise to hang out in the Danger Room. You can be there to admire the cool holographic tech. Or to study how your team-mates work together to learn more about their powers and abilities.

There's a lot to be said for background research but book learning can never quite match up with direct observations in the field. Hence why she's tagging along in her Wasp costume. A mix of reds and blacks, insectile wings from a backpack, and lots of practical armour and weapons.

"Do you ever think that it's quite ironic a room called the Danger Room should have so many safety features and settings?" she muses. "Also come to think of it. In the Red Room they taught us that every room could be dangerous.."
Rachel Roth A twist, a turn, she ducks low and lifts her hands, flipping one of the holograms over her shoulder in a judo-like throw she'd almost certainly learned from other members of the team or the Bat family in the beginning. Still, this life came with it a little bit of practice!

As the others moved with her and Nadia spoke up, Rachel extended a hand, a shadow leaping up to seize the hardlight contact rushing her before slamming him up into the ceiling.

"I think it's because it simulates Danger," Raven offers...clearly not getting the joke.
Cassie Sandsmark "From what I hear, the safeties stop shy of lethal. Most of the processing power goes into tracking things so that if one of these swords got through and did what they were designed to, the sim will stop." Cassie explains as best she can.

She's not the one that installed it, she can barely spin up a simulation. Most of her fight training usually happens at the Themysicran embassy.

Taking an opportunity presented by a holoninjassassin missing a stab. Cassie just grabs those outstretched arms and then flings the opponent into a gathering of others fighting her, Nadia, and Raven.

While Cassie is clearly very experienced, she's still far from any mastery of any martial art. But super speed, reflexes, and all the other fun powers she has more than makes up for it.
Nadia Pym "Oh I know all about /how/ it works," Nadia assures. "Kara asked me to see what I could improve around the Tower back when I joined the team." And naturally all the exciting super tech is what caught her attention. "It's just the terminology which I find unusual. I'd have called it something more direct like the training simulator." Or maybe the fun room.

It's probably best she didn't review facility names.

"Are there any particular skills you are both trying to improve?" she wonders. Her own fighting style incorporating martial arts, size changing, and a lot of tech. She zips around on her wings, delivering precision wrist blaster shots, occasionally returning to her regular size to deploy little virtually simulated Pym particle blasts. Turning mundane objects into cover or improvised weapons. Sometimes shrinking a foes weapon to render it useless.
Rachel Roth Raven herself gives a little snerk, a shake of her head as she ducks under the next swing and kicks out, driving the heel of her foot into the hologram's chest and sending it sprawling. A blast of that negative-colored energy flows out, scattering the one Cassie threw into the air before it hit the ground.

"Getting complacent about what we do know is just as bad as not knowing anything..." Raven comments, weaving from a sword-swing and pivoting past the strike before she kicked out at the ankle of the 'holoninja' making the attack to stagger him off-balance.
Cassie Sandsmark "In here, it's just working on team work stuff usually." Cassie answers Nadia with a flick of her lasso to yank one assailing assassin from getting the drop on the Wasp and then swinging them into a wall as she pulls back on the lasso to re-coil it up around her hips, the tapering of her waist helping to let it hang while she clearly lacks a belt.

"Seeing what we can do, seeing what ideas we can come up with to work together. Team moves and stuff." she goes on, all the while, blocking and dodging swords, feet, hands, and so on.
Nadia Pym "Oh I wouldn't say I'm the least bit complacent," Nadia says with a laugh. "I know all about it as it is now. Which means I can think of ways it could be improved. And when I think of how to advance one thing I can then consider other areas I could apply that knowledge. And so on. I even think about the way I think about things."

She shrugs, although it's hard to make out given her tiny size and wings. Really she's here for the conversation more than the fighting! Thankfully even if someone appears to get the drop on her the constant motion and tiny size make landing a blow challenging at best!

"Team up moves?" Nadia wonders. Pointing a wrist mounted device at Cassie. "Maybe like this?"

She zaps Cassie with enough Pym Particles to make her double in size. Dramatically increasing her reach and threat range.
Rachel Roth "That's...striking," Raven muses as Cassie gets 'extra amazon' in stature before she extends her hands, light flaring away from her as the giant run of her 'soul spectre' slams outwards, sending ninjas hurtling into the air before black tendrils of inky shadow zip out and ensnare her foes. Restraining rather than obliterating this time, as the titans were supposed to.
Cassie Sandsmark For most people not used to being exposed to Pym Particles, growing to ten and a half feet in height would probably tire them out with the energy consumption.

Cassie's divine metabolism and energy reserves don't have to worry about the extra drain.

The rush as she sees everything get smaller, Cassandra lets out possibly the loudest squee the Tower has ever heard. And most of those were probably Cassie herself.

The best part is, there goes all of Cassandra's insecurities about her height. They'll come back, but for now. She's gonna enjoy being tall.

And every bit as fast as she ever was!

Which leads to many a ninja being kicked like soccer balls.

She has legs! And knows how to use them!

"I know right! I'm just glad my clothes kept up! Just cause I can change them with magic, doesn't mean they survive after the fact!" she beams while that extra arns reach swats flung ninjas back down to the ground.

Some of them bouncing more than Cassie does in her enlarged state.
Nadia Pym "Oh it's all about the calibration and proximity," Nadia says with amusement. "It's generally easier to generate a field that envelops the target. If I didn't I'd have to target every cell in a persons body and that would be a computational nightmare even for me."

Most of the scenario is watching with Giant Cassie on the rampage. Thankfully her helmet has noise cancelling functions. Perhaps only rivalled by Starfire discovering the first Saturday in August is National Mustard Day. And what foes aren't being disabled by Raven or booted by Wonder Girl she takes out with pin point energy blasts.

"I suppose for Raven shrinking would be more advantageous? I can't imagine her magic would weaken as a result but she'd be really hard to hit. Unless magical power was somehow linked to the mass of her mind... I really wish it was easier to scientifically study magical effects."
Rachel Roth "I would rather you didn't go shrinking me," Raven muses, even as Giant Cassie tosses foes left and right. "Besides..."

She pauses, dipping down to pull her cloak down over her head only to rise up...up...up until she was a towering form of black shadow and glowing red eyes, dark shadows outlined in photonegative white lashing out to overtake the holograms Cassie hadn't reached while Raven's own voice seemed louder, echoing and otherworldly.

"Size is only a matter of perspective!"

Point made, or perhaps her part in the scenario over, Raven lifts her hands and seems to shrink down, the spooky shadow silhouette once more back to just the goth girl everyone knew and loved.
Cassie Sandsmark "What was it Kermit said in that old sci-fi movie? Size matters not. Luminous beings we are!" So Cassie is quoting a movie that's positively ancient by now.

She's a big girl, she's allowed to.

She still keeps swatting ninjas being launched about, occasionally just grabbing one and holding him by his head in her palm like she was an NBA player for Nadia to get her kicks. Raven's shadow form getting a grin.

"Hawt!" she says and giggles.
Nadia Pym Nadia isn't really fond of actual violence, but it's a good workout fighting totally fictional non-sentient entities. And it's a great team building exercise too!

"Who is Kermit?" she wonders. They didn't have the Muppets in the Red Room's Siberian bunker. The fiends. "And that's not /really/ true about size. Just because a cow is far away it doesn't mean it's physically smaller."

She oooos at the display of magical might though. It's interesting data for her research after all. And it's rare that Raven shows off. Or displays a lot of emotion in general if the rumours are to be believed.

"I suppose I shall refrain from making Chibi Raven unless it's an emergency." Oh well. No experimenting on the magic user for her. This time..
Rachel Roth "I think I'm...the opposite of a luminous being," Raven offers, stretching her arms out over her head and then pulling her hood back down to let her violet hair free once more. The ninja start to flicker out and away as the scenario ends before raising an eyebrow. Did she get the reference? If she did, she wasn't going to admit to it. Still, she folds her arms under her bust, shrugging at Cassie's praise.

Everyone had their own taste after all.

"And hope we never have that sort of emergency."
Cassie Sandsmark The sim finally comes to a close. "Dark light is still light, and totally shows up hidden things." Wonder Girl's version of saying Raven totally counts. Cassie standing over her friends while still enlarged. The blonde's stretching arms over her head, still plenty of room since the room was built big enough to allow for flight.

"So just remember I was five, three Nadia!" while deep down maybe Wonder Girl would love to stay as she is, most good thing have to come to an end eventually.

Plus she wouldn't fit in hot tub.
Nadia Pym "Black lights show up lots of forensic evidence," Nadia agrees. "Although I would expect shadowy tendrils to be cold rather than hot...." If only she could study the physics of Raven's abilities more! But alas she doesn't seem like she wants to subject herself to the whims of a super genius. Probably she just doesn't know how fun SCIENCE! can be.

"Oh the size change is temporary. Don't worry you'll return to exactly the same dimensions are you typically are."

"It'll be interesting to review the simulations data and see what information can be extrapolated from it. If I notice anything interesting I'll be sure to let you both know." She seems utterly unaware of any references being made. Probably the Siberian bunker didn't have any fun things like hot tubs or comfortable couches. "Just watch out for ceiling fans until you revert to normal." Not because she'll get hurt. Because they're expensive to fix!
