Firestar Watchtower duty. Most probably dread it, but Angelica voluteers to cover for others sometimes. Tonight is one of those nights. Willow was supposed to relieve Black Canary, but it is definitely not Dinah at the board. She looks at each screen thoughtfully and tries to listen to all the channels at once or at least most.
Willow Rosenberg Usually, Willow was on duty on the weekends. Lately, though, she had been switching her shifts to free the weekends and be able to visit Rack. So far Willow had been very careful to make it to her shifts, unlike her schooling. There? She had been playing hookey. Which wasn't a big problem. Everyone skips.

Unless you were Willow. She /never/ skipped. Never.

Until now.

And the number of classes she made it to was getting less each week. Willow didn't care. After all, she knew the stuff backwards and forwards. Why did she need to go to class? The TA hours were beginning to be a problem. But so far she managed to pick up extra hours to make up for the ones that she had missed. Barely.

But today? Oh, what Willow wouldn't do to be in that office floating around, instead of here. in the computer hub of the Watchtower.

*le sigh*
Firestar Angelica looks at the new arrival. She nods to the other red head and then looks at the controls again, shifting channels,"Evening. I'm Angelica." she offers conversationally.

She changes one of the pictures and glows it up bigger to see what is going on there. Pursing her lips thoughtfully, she nods and change the pictures again,"Let me know when you are ready and I will get out of your way."
Willow Rosenberg "Oh!" Willow forced a smile. "I'm Willow. Don't worry. I'm not a powered user. I'm a magic user." Then she smiles."I'm good at computers though."

While she makes herself at home, she pulls out a container of cookies. "Help yourself. I usually bring them on the weekend. You're in luck, I baked today. Chocolate and peanut butter. You will have to tell me if they are good."
Firestar "Hello Willow. I't nice to meet you." she replies and starts to get herself logged out,"I wish I was a little better with computers, but I get by."

She looks at the cookies and she takes one,"Thank you. I warn you though, if I like them I will be asking for a recipe." she offers lightly,"As you can see at my hips, I do like sugary goodness." She does have hips, but they are the type most models would kill for. Still, she is a little self concious.
Willow Rosenberg Willow laughs. "So far I have avoided the poundage. I should be careful. We Jews tend to put on our sorrows with weight, or so my mother tells me. And if you would be more comfortable, you can turn on the filter that takes out the normal things and focuses on the bigger ones. I mean, the filter keeps them on track. But usually those one don't amount to anything. You can trust the computer to notify you if they become a problem. It might help you."

She, herself, still liked to look at all the problems - big and small.

At least she used to. She showed up. Nothing was ignored. But lately she was bored. And that was a cause for concern.
Firestar "I try to keep up, but I might have to try the filter next time. At least until I get a better at keeping up with everything. I am trying to get used to cycling the audio on opposite channels than the video. It takes time I guess. I had an uncle that watched one baseball game on the television without volume and listened to another on the radio. I sort of get it now."
Willow Rosenberg "It's kind of a talent?" Willow grins. "But you get cookies no matter your skill! Just for being here."

And so that Angelica doesn't forget, Willow shoves the container of cookies to where Angelica would be hard pressed to forget them.

"You can keep them. I took a bunch for home?Wait a minute.. Titans?"
Firestar "Girl's got skills for sure." Angelica replies and takes the cookies that are pushed to her,"Thank you." she comments taking them and vacating the seat so Willow can get logged in.

She shakes her head and replies,"Justice League. Probationary at the moment. I was with Alpha Flight for several years. My dad put me in a school that lined me with the Hellions for a year and their Hellfire Club. Unfortunate for them, when pushed they discovered who really had the fire."
Willow Rosenberg Willow giggles.

"I was instrumental in rescuing Superman when he was held hostage on Apokolips. I guess that was my probationary time." Cocking her head, she wonders, "My friends.. I never have told them.. Except for Spike at first. Then Buffy and my partner Harry. It's weird, most of them don't know about this. And I don't wear a costume!"

Then again, she is mostly on Watchtower duty. There wasn't a whole lot of things which needed a magic user.
Firestar Angelica gets a cookie and bites into it. She mmms softly and after a moment she nods,"Superman is nice. Batman scary. Diana is an absolute doll." She winks,"Good cookie. Must have recipe." she adds.

Recognition sparks in her eyes and she says,"Buffy. Vampire slayer? You know her? She's amazing. I met her a while back. She pointed out a vampire and killed it. She taught me a few things. Great woman."
Willow Rosenberg "Yep. That Buffy." Willow shrugs. "That's my primary superhero job. Except we aren't superheroes. And everyone knows Buffy. No one knows her sidekick Willow. You are right though, she kicks tushy."

Willow preens, though, about the cookies. "Give me your email address and I can send the recipe to you."
Firestar Angelica grabs a pad and pen. She scribbles down her email address and tells Willow,"I think you two have to be heroes. If you deal with those monsters on the regular." She shakes her head and adds,"Well I know Willow now and I am glad to meet her. I was sidekick to Spiderman so I get it. I love him to the moon and back, but it is a hang up being the side kick."
Willow Rosenberg Taking the note, Willow puts it into her satchel, amongst other things, and closes it.

"Well, I know /of/ Spiderman, but I've met you! And you are right, Batman is scary. Superman is a dear. And I helped rescue Diana! That was pretty cool too. Not as cool as Superman's rescue, but it was on earth, so, the biggest thing I did on earth?"
Firestar Angelica smiles and puts her bag on her shoulder,"And it's been a pleasure meeting you Willow." she replies,"Thanks too. Makes a girl feel a little less side kick. If you get a chance though, meet Spidey. He's the greatest man I have ever known. Despite what the Daily Bugle says about him he's only a menace to your nerves when he starts being clever witted. He's hilarious, but he doesn't need to know that."
Willow Rosenberg Willow puts her satchel under the desk of monitors.

"I always prefer to know a person without other people's opinions. Sometimes the strangest people surprise you in the oddest ways." And she has helped vampires before.. so..

"Anyways, your time is over, and mine is just beginning. Call me sometime when neither one of us is on duty." She waves, and starts to set up for her time.
Firestar Angelica waves,"Probably you are right." she agrees. She heads for the exit and admits,"There are some strange ones out there for sure."

With that, she goes to the teleporters to get back to the planet.
