Logan Fred's Diner, mutant hangout. It's a pro-mutant diner beloved by many, but not all. Some of those people include a particular group of humans. The Friends of Humanity. They're all pretty easy to spot. Each bear their symbol, a red and blue eagle bearing the letters "F.o.H." in white. Most have it on a vest, or hoodie, thanks to various patch work over their clothes. A group of four make their way inside once they pour out of a simple van. At least two stay back inside the vehicle.

The foursome move about the place before a blonde male looks around. He'll let out a scoff of disgust, "So many good reviews for a mutie shithole," he spits out the words with such disdain. "What? Aren't regular humans good enough for you?" The others start to move around looking over the booths and the table tops. "So many bad mutie slobs," and one of the others will take the giant sugar pourer on the table and drop it onto the floor.

After that the blonde looks toward the people working, "What's it going to take fine people like yourself to do the right thing?"
Rogue Rogue is enjoying a burger, fries and a soda but she still sits at the counter to enjoy her meal. Nothing about it, just a mutant hanging out in one of her favorite spots because the food is sloppy, the music is good, and there's usually always peace.

Peace, apparently, has it's price sometimes however. When the four F.o.Hs come stalking into the diner making a fuss, she tries to ignore their words. Sometimes there just here to mess around a bit, and then they disappear. Not today though. It's when the sugar container makes a crash on the floor, she looks up and over at the ones who are trying to cause trouble. And the words they speak have her almost seeing red.

"There's a few spots down the road you might like better. Give us the one space we still got that you dick heads don't come around tryin' to fuck up..." She speaks, but she's still staring at her food while she says it. Maybe she's baiting them. Maybe they'll notice who she is and turn tail. Who knows.
Logan "We got a talker here ladies and gentleman," the blonde moves to Rogue. He's not quite in her face, but still very close to it. "Do you have a problem with humans, girlie? We know that's what you want to be," he says just not knowing who Rogue is. "Stay silent and show some respect to the superior race," he says firmly. The others start to move around to different places in the bar.

A coiuple gets harassaed that a man with dark colored skin and midnight black hair that peeks out from underneath a beret. "We just want our place," the man with black hair speaks openly. They wait to see what the couple do. And the couple try to move inward, because it's away from them. It's clear they don't like the people here.
Rogue Rogue casually reaches for her soda to take a few more swallows of the liquid inside before setting her glass back down. Then she turns to face the man who decided to come inches close to her. "Ain't got a problem with humans. I know a few decent ones who actually give a rats ass about our existance. I know an alien or two also. And I know that you have about three seconds to gather your people and get the hell out of this diner. This ain't your spot, darlin'. You cain't have it..and I'll personally make sure that each and every one of you learn that lesson here today if you don't turn tail and run 'fore I treat y'all like scaredy cats inna room fulla rockin' chairs..."
Logan Every F.o.H. member in the diner look toward Rogue. And the blode will run his hand along the edge of her glass. then he tries to knock it over, wether it falls onto the floor or just on the counter is irrelevant. "You don't scare me, mutie scum. Just a low down mutie not even worth wiping my boots off on. Less than human, deserving of nothing. God's sad mistake."
Rogue Rogue stands up quick enough to knock her chair over and in the next motion her hand is around the blonde's neck where she pulls him forward a bit before tossing him easily to the other side of the diner. Fred'll be pissed, but he knows he'll be covered. Hopefully there was enough time for most of the other patrons to make it out of the diner with ease - whether thru the front door or back via the kitchen. "You wanna come back here and say that to mah face again, smart ass? I'll give you all one last chance. Git! Cause from here on out, I ain't gonna play nice..."
Logan "Grrrlllk!" the blonde cries out before Rogue tosses him across the diner. The man crashes into a table, but he picks himself up. Some of the others will help the guy up. The blonde will look toward Rogue ask one simple question before leaving, "What's your name?" The question hangs t here, and they'll wait for an answer before leaving, if possible.
Rogue "Cain't ya tell by the way I talk, darlin'? Or, I'm sorry, did my accent make you think that not only am I just a 'scum mutie' but I'm also dumb too?" Rogue asks this and then smirks. "The names Rogue. And this spot... it's under the protection of me and mine. Maybe you think that through a little bit before ya decide ta come back talkin' all big before one fell move makes ya piss yer pants." She then crosses her arms over her chest and smirks, waiting for the realization to sink in maybe.
Logan The blonde looks at Rogue, "Be seeing you soon, Rogue," and the group starts to leave. They're leaving the place as it is. They start to get into the van. Before long it starts to back up and begins to pull out. It laeves 'rogue with some of the damage and the words from just a few moments ago. Reminder swhy some people may hate her.
Rogue "Sorry Fred...let me help clean this up...and send me the bill for the bigger things. You know where it goes to." Rogue says this much as she pulls out her phone to send a quick text to Logan. <<Just got threatened by FOH. I'm fine. They're gone. At Fred's helping clean up the small mess made. Bring some cash if you wanna swing by. Love ya!>> And then she's off to settle up chairs and clean up...everywhere.
Logan Logan sees the text and his eyes narrow, <How much? How many?> the only questions in his text. Usually if other things are skipped, there's an emotional response from him. Like he's hyper focused on part of the conversation. Either way, it doesn't take him too long to get there. The roar his back introduces him, as always. Yes, he has quieter, but Logan's not trying to hide.

The FoH van gone and their presence seemingly vanish, save for the wreckage they left behind at Fred's. He'll get off the bike and go to Rogue, "You doin' alright?" and those eyes will flick over her. He's assessing. Yes, Rogue can hold her own against many that doesn't he won't worry.

"How much mess do we have?"

The mess is overall minor. It's more of any emotional damage they did. Fred's there willing to help, but there is a small fear in his eye. Like when someone gets robbed in their home. A home is supposed to be a safe space. When that space gets violated, it does something to the home owner. Sometimes those wounds heal. Other times they won't. Hard to say which way Fred will go.

For now, Logan's just quick to go inside and get cleaning. Fred's place matters too much for the mutant community. He would do the same to various night clubs, even if he doesn't like them. Logan respects what they represent, the need they fill, etc.
Rogue Rogue looks at her phone as the response from Logan comes. <<Probably a couple grand if you can swing it. There were about 4 people inside. Likely 2 more in the van they had.>> And then she continues to clean. When Logan arrives, she looks to him and rushes over to hug him tight even as he's asking her quesitons. "I'm fine. Little shaken cause the brats made a big scene... but I got them to leave quicker than they likely anticipated..."

She looks around for a moment. "One table and a couple chairs. A shaker of sugar. I think theres more emotional damage than physical...but we got most the people out the door..." She comments.

She, of course, continues to help out and clean up. Sweeping up glass and sugar and such to toss away, resetting tables and chairs, and just making sure the place looks more like it did before the asshats ruined her dinner.
Logan "And the emotional stuff is harder to fix," Logan laments. A small bit of anger runs through him. He tries to push it down and just focus on the task at hand. Then he will just helpclean up. Anything. everything and Logan will even pay with a couple extra grand just to soften the blow.

"Fer anyone that helped n' next few customers. Just pay it forward. Remind em', this place is important," Logan says to Fred. Again, Logan respects places in mutant town, even if he doesn't like them. And he -likes- Fred's.
Rogue Rogue nods. "Yeah..." Saying this much as they finish up cleaning and Logan hands Fred the money that was requested and then a bit more. She smiles and takes one last look around the place. "Come on...I've already paid my tab, but I've lost my appretite.." This and then she waves at Fred. "Take it easy, yeah? We'll be back. We always are." Before she turns and walks out the front door, moving to stand near Logan's bike.

She goes through the motions to light up a cigarette, waiting for Logan to join her. Once he's outside with her, she'll glance his direction. "They plan retaliation. I don't know when. Or how. But I'm definitely on their shit list, and likely the target they'll focus on the most for a while..."
Logan Logan was going to get a burger, but Rogue goes outside. When she lights up a cigarette, he pulls out a cigar. Something about her motions feels off. Then she begins to speak.

"What are ya gonna do?" Logan asks knowing that she's probably right. However, Rogue might have some kind of plan or thoughts about what she would do.
Rogue Rogue takes a deep inhale off the cigarette, being quiet for a moment. She's likely running all the choices through her mind before looking up and exhaling smoke out of her nose before glancing to Logan. "I'm going to let them." She says, plain and simple. Silent once more, which is likely just to let her choice sink in.

"Though I suppose that means I'll be away from the mansion for a bit. At least until things calm down. Can't put the kids or anyone else in danger..." Which is smart, in some sense, but in others it leaves her with only herself. Maybe him as well if he tags along. "Part of me wants to hunt them down. Just show up at their front door, which may put them off guard...it's not like I'd be in any danger..."
Logan Logan's quiet for a while. He' letting her think, feel and come up with a plan. His gaze goes to her, "Would ya let me run like that if the shoe was on the other foot.

"Do ya know where ya would find them?" he asks curiously. Wondering if she had any clue where to go, how to find them. Or would she just wreck shop until results popped up. So, he's curious about that one.
Rogue Rogue catches his gaze and for a moment, she thinks to protest. Yet she decides against it. "You mean away from the school? Absoltely. I know you'd wanna keep the kids safe just as much as anyone else. I also know that you'd make sure I had a way to contact you or any of the other X-Men if I got too deep. Or, you'd tag along."

When he asks that next question, she shakes her head. "No. But it's not like they don't stick out like a sore thumb... and I bet there are people who will point in their direction in a heartbeat." Then she grins. "Or I could trick them..."
Logan "Or ya can keep me informed of yer position. I can visit n' make sure ya ain't gettin' too lost," Logan's not trying to talk her out of it. However, he's trying to think of ways to help her. Logan knows something about this group rattled her chains. So, Logan's trying to think of ways she can unrattle them. It's a lot harder than it sounds.
Rogue Rogue's face shifts a bit, it's a passing thing, but enough to notice that for a brief moment she was a little more than upset. This may go a touch beyond that. "The guy got all up in my face, Logan. Asked me if I had a problem with humans. Said he knew that's what I want to be. Told me to stay silent. Show respect to the superior race..." She explains to him, her eyes have gone to the ground now, her cigarette all but forgotten as it slowly burns away between her fingers. The tears that she's been fighting back finally begin to rim along her eyes. "Last thing I remember him calling me...was a low down mutie not worth wiping his boots on. Less than human. Deserving of nothing..." She shakes her head, wiping away the tears and then turns away from Logan completely, like she's ashamed of him seeing her break down like this.
Logan Logan moves to Rogue. He can hear the hurt. See what she's feeling all over her face. Even before the tears come. A hand will slip to her shoulder. "Ya ain't those things. Yert many things all of em' good," he looks at Rogue for a moment. His gace on her as he tries to wrap the arms around Rogue. Let her get it out.
Rogue Rogue wraps her arms around him and holds close. She doesn't exactly sob on his shoulder, but she is crying for a good moment before finally pulling back. "Thank you... for sayin' that..." There's a sniffle and then she wipes her eyes before taking a breath. "I mean, part of me just wants to hunt the bastards down and beat them like flattened chicken breasts... but I know that ain't the answer. I might need to cool down a bit...so I don't do anything stupid..."
Logan Holding her closely. Logan looks at her as she is crying. Well, looks up at her. Then he gives a nod. "No reason to thank me," and then he gives her a nod. "You had every right to be angry darlin' n as much as I wanna stab em', too. We both know that ain't the way. Return the punch if they take hte first swing, but we can be smart. Maybe figure where they go, n' set a pairr of eyes on em'," Logan offers a few alternatives. His gaze watches her for a bit.
Rogue Rogue takes on a slight look of guilt in that moment. "They provoked me enough with words... I tossed the guy across the diner after he said things to me." She pauses. "And spilled my soda..." A breath is taken and she listens to the alternative ideas Logan presents. "I like that. Finding out where they are, getting eyes on them. Watching them. Maybe stop 'em if we think they're heading somewhere to cause more trouble..." Then she has to laugh. "When did you become the more even headed between the two of us, eh?"
Logan "What did they say?" Logan asks wanting to know what got her so bad. His arms wrap around her again. A hand strokes at her back slowly. Then he nods to her. "So, we gotta keep low. Find em'. Yer gonna need to stake out a place n' just follow em'. Not go after," he wants her to understand that she may need to see something that she hates.
Rogue "I told you want they said..." Rogue offers. "It's what I was saying they said right before... I started crying..." She admits to that and then listens further to how Logan thinks things should go down. "I'm gonna need to stake them? Does it really have to be me? Cause I can't promise that I won't go after them if I see them causing trouble..."
Logan "I'll stake em'. Alone. When I got enough intel, I'll bring it to ya. Let ya be the wrecking ball," Logan offers and he looks into her eyes. Just a compromise to the situation. As much as he may want to stab them, they're worth more untouched in that moment. For once, Wolverine is the one with more self control.
Rogue Rogue takes a breath and then nods. "That might be the better option. I don't know why... but..." It's really messed with her head for some reason. She might need to do some inner focusing in order to figure out why. Still, she finally puts on a smile. "Still, I think for the time being, I'll want to stay in the cabin. It's remote, no one really knows where it is except for those who need to know...and it will keep the mansion safe..." Plus, he can still visit her there...and it wouldn't be the first time an X-Men member has gone on an extended leave to elsewhere.
Logan "You know where the keys are and I'll see ya tonight before I go out in the mornin'," Logan says firmly. Just letting her see how it all will work. His ocean blue eyes onher as he waits for Rogue's acknowledgement.
Rogue Rogue nods. She still looks a bit shaken, but she's calmed down a lot from moments before. "Alright. I'll fly there and avoid being over any major parts of the city. Take the long way as it were." Then she smiles, and gives him a hug. "See you tonight."
