Clark Kent Those around the Watchtower won't get the call right away. It's not due to lack of action on their part. It's lack of time by the victims. A subsidiary building to STAR labs has a crew of unexpected visitors. All of them arrive via a flash of light. Later investigation would show it's extremely similar to Zeta Beams.

The Ultrahumanite stares at the bewildered scientist, "Pardon the interruption. Rudeness is usually not in my repertoire, but circumstances dictate otherwise. I am merely a slave to them," and in his hands is a large cannon like weapon. In his hands it looks more like an assault rifle. A strap's slung around his neck, so he doesn't need to hold it as much.

A beam of blue light goes toward one of the people in front of him. The crumple to the ground, but the person is still breathing.

"Spare who you can, take anything that looks interesting if you're not helping me," Ultrahumanite says. And he's quick to add, "Xarus, Feed! I prefer you at full strength," and that's when people begin to work. Xarus is a lanky man with slicked black blonde hair. Right now he looks somewhat gaunt. People may call him gothic due to the black duster he wears, completely buttoned up. In reality, it's just something mobile that can hide a lot, provide some protection and is hard to stain.

He's the quickest one here. A flash of shadow and he's infront of someone. Fangs extended before he tears into someone's neck.

Others move about picking their own vices. Some decide to steal. Others just revel in simple destruction. And others enjoy harming those about. It's a matter of who.

Walking with Humanite is Giganta and Killer Frost, "We need this crucial piece to our structural woes. STAR will not give this up willingly. Part of the reason it's here, a simple shell game. Hide something in plain sight, but make that sight very protected without telling many." A dial rests at the side of his weapon, he turns it all the way in one direction.

By the time the League get there they will see the main room (a distress signal may not have been the quickest to go out for obvious reasons). Chaos hit this place like a mac truck. People knocked out, very low on blood or some combination. The place looks ransacked. Even well protect cabinents, files are just ripped open.

The room everyone's in is a symbol with white tial and all other things. Not quite a perfectly sterile environment, like someone is trying to imitate one. This place is shaped similarly to a hexagon, with longer sides instead of everything being equal. A hallway leads down a Path before turning into a "T" like shape. People can go left, they can go right, but not straight anymore. This is the sight the league walk into.
Firestar Some much for the afternoon off. Angelica's class and lab was cancelled due to the professor's wife deciding today was the day to bring another life into the world.

She gets the alert as she is heading towards home and she pauses. She turns down an alley way and mutters,"This outfit was due for a trip to the Salvation Army store anyway."

The air around her shimmers with bright yellow light and and waves of heat. The red head walks down the alley and a moment later the form of Firestar rises to fly towards the disturbance. The bright yellow outfit catches a lot of eyes despite her flying at nearly 100 miles per hour towards the source of the trouble.
Mon-El     Lar heard the alert, and also heard some of the commotion. Star Labs...they often seemed to be the target of violence for one reason or another. Sometimes he wonders if they'd ever considered beefing up security even -more-. Not as if they didn't have the money, right?

He also sheds the civilian clothing and speeds off toward the facility, meeting Firestar about halfway. "Just the two of us, huh?" A pause. "It'll be enough."
Clark Kent What greets Mon El isn't just the chaos of the room. He can hear slowed breathes and heartbeats. People are in various stages here. Most of them alive. Most of them in good shape. Just one, or two, may not be thanks to a little too much blood taken. Another focus and Mon El can hear movement. There's clearly activity. Multiple people talking. Off to the left. People are talking between sounds of crunching, shattering, and then a noise that sounds like a rush of something hot. It's clear there's some kind of digging or burrowing going on. Like whoever is here is still seeking something.

Firestar can see the state everyone's in. Her various knowledge in Science can let her know that there's obvious something worth this trouble. A device, an invention. Something because everyone here is wearing very uniformed attire. Heavy rubber gloves. All hallmarks to not wanting to leave smudges or anything behind. It all just bleeds of many labs she has seen where care of specimens, projects, etc.

When Lar rushes to the left it may take a bit and that's when the pair see two people waiting on them. First is a woman with a mixture of white and black. Those long white locks match the white face that's clearly looking like it resembles a skull. The dark spots around the eyes, the skeletal like teeth design around the lips. She has long white gloves and boots, a black body suit where the center is white.

Near her is a man. Well, what's left of one. It's a man with torn away flesh revealing a metallic being beneath. Not quite skeletal, but certain pieces give that impression. Clearly a cyborg that's more robot than man.

Silver Banshee looks at the pair and just lets out a piercing scream that would make Dinah try to one up her. It will hurt Firestar's ears, but how badly will it hurt lars.

A second later the robot rushes toward the pair trying rush toward the woman in the fiery costume. Raising a hand and going in for a haymaker. Firestar is about to meet Metallo up close and personal.
Firestar Flying into the thick of it blind. Not a good look. Firestar nods to Mon-El and focuses on the flight. When they arrive at the two waiting, she is startled by the sonic blast and her flight path brings her to the ground. She covers her ears and looks up to see Metallo closing on her.

She can't focus enough to rise again, but she has another option. Instead, despite the nose bleed, she turns up the radiation fast, heat and bad both reaching deadly levels and all aimed at the approaching villain.

Normally not willing to go this far, something to be said about someone might be coming to kill you and she decides to make it very difficult despite the assault on her ears.
Mon-El     Lar frowns as he approaches the facility, taking in the sights and sounds. It seems someone is after something at the lab, which doesn't come as a surprise. They were always after something at STAR labs.

It seems the perpetrators and waiting for them--well at least they don't have to go hunting or anything. "Stand down and I won't have to--" the Daxamite doesn't even get to finish that sentence before Silver Banshee interrupts with a deafening screech. It startles him, but doesn't really do any damage.

Seeing the cyborg thing charging at Firestar, he dashes in front it, attempting to block it by inserting his tough-as-a-kryptonian body between them.
Clark Kent Heat starts to fill the room. It starts to get at Silver Banshee. She'll move back from it. As for Metallo, as he moves close, he swears parts of himself are melting. It's an odd thing to see yourself begin to melt with absolutely no pain. There are sensors that indicate damage, but he doesn't -feel- the pain. In this case he may be glad, but it's still horrifying.

And what makes matters worse is Mon El getting the block in. That metal hand isn't like normal metal. Thanks to the heat, it's soft and pliable like gold. The hand won't "Crunch" if it's crush. It'll bend, or even "Squish" a little.

However, being this close to them. The chest opens up. A glowing green center flashes and a beam of kryptonian energy shoots toward Mon El and Firestar. Now, Kryptonite may not hurt them, but it's still a weaponized radioactive energy source. It's bound to burn or do some kind of damage if it hits, especially to firestorm. And with him being so close, Metallo figures it may turn down the heat.

Banshee moves to safe ground before tyring to scream louder than before. Wanting to bust ear drums open or at least be like a flash bang. Cause a temporary ringing that borderlines on deafness.
Firestar The bad news, ears are bleeding as she manages to get off the ground again. She tries to rise above the scream so she can maybe collect herself and save her hearing.

The good news, the suit under her costume protects people from her radiation and protects her from other sources of radiation. Sure she has to lower her face and shove her arms infront of her to protect her face and neck.

It take a lot of focus to rise from the floor, but she does and isn't phsed by the radiation due to her protective gear.
Mon-El     Lar gets knocked back by the beam, clenching his jaw when the scream issues forth again, although the blast doesn't quite do the damage that Metallo might have hoped it would against a Kryptonian. He quickly regains his footing, and tries to fire his thermal vision at the cyborg's chest while it's still open!
Clark Kent Firestar manages to avoid the blast, plus the suit absorbs or stops most of the beam from Metallo. His hand nearly melted thanks to an increase in heat Firestar caused. Her ears are bleeding, she will have trouble hearing for now. And that's if she can hear at this moment.

The radiation of Kryponite lingers in the air. The blast may harm Mon El in some ways, it's doesn't hit as hard as it would a Kryptonian. It may tick on the pain scale, but it's not debilitating.

Metallo considers a second shot when heat vision lashes out toward his exposed heart. Beams lick at the Kryptonite heart.

The light in Metallo's robotic eye almost winks out before the chest unit closes. The cyborg falls to the ground breathes out hard, winded. The first thing he felt in ages and it is creeping death. The moment is humbling at best.

Silver Banshee starts to retreat further in the hallway. Crying out to others, "Backup!"

Obviously, it's more than just the two of them.

Kara will hear that backup by the time she arrives. It's how she's drawn to the trio. Although, the woman could see all of the scientists on the ground in their various states of health. None of them dead, but one, or two, may be on their way to that plane of existence.

A wall of ice goes up in front of Silver Banshee. It's a preview of some of the backup she has. Also, a sign this group came prepared. Firestar having Ice and Kryptonite for a Kryptonian.
Kara Danvers Kara Danvers arrives late to the scene, noting the chaos in progress. The sounds of a fight down the nearby hallway catches her immediate attention and she rushes in, sensing that people may need help. Blue eyes narrow on the sight of Banshee and Metallo, but it is the injured scientists that are her primary concern. She swoops closer to them, checking their vitals, getting ready to shield them from whatever backup might be on its way while searching for the nearest escape route to send those that can walk out to.

"Whats going on here?" she frowns, giving Firestar and Lar the once over, "You two okay?"
Mon-El     "Kara!" Lar turns when Supergirl arrives, nodding at her question. "I'm good, not sure about them, though." But before he's even finished talking, she's already trying to check on the victims.

With that handled, the Daxamite turns his attention toward Banshee as she tries to run and find her other allies now that the cyborg Metallo seems to be down for the count. He flies after her, punching through the wall of ice that goes up, although it does serve to slow him down a bit.
Firestar The shock wave ends and the ice wall begins. Angelica shakes her head once, trying to shake off nausea and vertigo. She looks around for the source of the ice, determining where it is being erected from.

The chunks of ice gets melted by her fire to make the small chunks melt and the big chunks small enough to not hurt too much if it strikes anyone. After that, she turns to look back in the Kara arrived, making sure they still have an exit strategy. She dabs blood from her ears and nose before turning to potentially follow Mon-El.
Clark Kent Kara arrives and that Kyrponite blast still lingers in the air. She may want to move further down. Luckily, Mon El bursts through the ice sending shards everywhere. On the side of the wall is Silver Banshee, obviously, a woman in a long black coat that has white faux fur around the color, dark blue leather pants and a shirt that nearly matches the color with a large snow-flake like emblem on the front. Her skin is light blue and the hair an icy blue. Killer Frost to anyone that's looked into the League Criminal database, or Central City's.

Focusing a blast of ice goes toward Firestar trying to neutralize the heat.

Standing near her is a man that's wearing a strange red and blue costume. It almost looks like a hybrid of Flash's and Aqualad's. The pants are blue, the top is red, and what separates the two is a yellow design. Instead of lightning, it's more like the scan of a brainwave. They wear long blue gloves that match the pants, there's a yellow trim. They do have armored metal shoulders for some reason.

He's a redhead and the eyes glow yellow and that's when Mon El feels it. Someone lashing out into his mind. Trying to take over. It's like something clawing at the mind whispering, "Let me in." Do Kryponians and Daxamites train against telepathy?

Standing near them is a woman with long red hair. Focusing a moment she turns herself into someone that's a good eight or nine feet tall. These hallways can handle it, but another foot or two then she'll hit ceiling.

Seeing that S-Symbol, Silver Banshee focuses a scream toward Kara. Giganta will wait for the scream to stop before charging Kara.
Kara Danvers Kara Danvers does feel the kryptonite in the air and cringes a bit, stepping away away from it. Doing a full assessment of the injured and fallen she stands her ground as Banshee moves towards her, nodding towards the exit, hopefully the scientists left standing get the idea. "Hurry, down that hall I came from! it's clear!"

And then she turns back to Banshee, bringing her arms protectively in front of her, gritting her teeth from the sound and hopefully shielding as many retreating innocents as she can...Hopefully she can hold on a bit longer.
Mon-El     Lar was about to block that ice blast coming for Firestar, but suddenly he feels a foreign presence in his mind. Yes, he's trained against telepathy with the Legion thanks to Saturn Girl--although he still wishes she were here now.

"Ugh...get out of my head..." Physical attacks are usually shrugged off easily...but this? He has to focus his willpower toward driving the intruder out.
Firestar Cold. Cold is not fun. The first of the blast reaches her and Firestar drops from the air again, just managing to not crash on floor. Before another blast comes her way, she extends her power out from her, a glowing yellow aura heating her, the air, and anyone too close to her.

Someone throwing ice around gets her defenses up and she rolls to the side to avoid another shot and rises to the air once more, looking in the direction the ice came from. A shudder and frost melts off her hair,"All right. Where's the wise guy?" she growls.
Clark Kent Kara can hold up her arms and grit her teeth. She may want to move because when Banshee stops. Giganta rushes in taking a swing at the Kryptonian. Driving her fist toward the alien, trying to slam her against the wall or floor.

Mon El does with that mind pushing upon his own. Trying to knock down barrier after barrier. The simple plan, take over Mon El and go after Kara, full tilt. Hold nothing back and take her out. That's what these commands scream at Mon El. Yes, he has training from Saturn Girl. So, even if he doesn't give into the commands, it does keep him distracted.

Killer Frost tries to throw ice at Firestar, but the fiery mutant is in the air. Firestar blasts with a miss and a blast comes down. Upon her. The air around her starts to freeze, it provides some protection. Sadly, it's not enough and she gets knocked back. That's a blow. Still, she's not out and tries to fire a little more ice at Firestar. Although, Firestar may be able to avoid this a bit. She's slowed since the blow.

Ultrahumanite wants this. Not his team to lose. No. The consolation prize. He does get into the vault holding his target. A means of energy not of this world. Some say it's alien technology. Some say it's from the future. Ultrahumanite doesn't care where it's from. What he cares about is what it does. Taking what looks to be a cannister, the size of a pipe bomb, he smiles big. "We have what we need. We'll be operational."

Both aliens can hear Humanite speak to those with him.
Kara Danvers Kara Danvers screams in pain as Banshee's scream rings in her ears but hopefully she bought the innocents enough time to escape. Once they do, she darts out of the way I'd a charging Giganta, only barely. Still a bit disoriented, she moves a bit more slowly as she tries to gain her bearings.

Trying to put distance between herself and giganta,Suoergirl draws a deep breath and breaths out a super breath towards gigabits, trying to hurl her into banshee or the walk or anything she can except her allies of course.
Mon-El     The telepath, whoever he is, gets stalled about halfway through the barriers. For a moment, there's an impasse, as both of them struggle against each other. But Lar finally breaks free and regains his composure. Even if Saturn Girl isn't here, the training the Legion did with her has definitely had its benefits. "Nice try." he remarks. Just as Killer Frost throws more ice, the Daxamite grabs one of the icicles and tries to throw it at his attacker.

Yes, he heard Ultrahumanite talking to his minions. Because like Kryptonians he can hear almost everything. They're going to disengage soon, no doubt, so he prepares himself and prepares to take off after the one in charge before he can steal the tech.
Firestar Keeping the aura of energy up and around her, Firestar plunges towards Killer Frost. She flies in a slip and dip pattern so as not to be a staight flying target.

Rather than focus the masers on the somewhat fallen Killer Frost, she draws heat and blasts her and her icy air with a blast of heated air that will blister skin on contact and hurt like the blazes, even cooled by the ice in the air. Heaven help Killer Frost if she inhales it. That will be painful and the sort of coughing attack that will slips ribs out of place. Won't break, but will hurt...for a long time.
Clark Kent Ultrahumanite smiles and looks to those around him. "If you get captured. You will be freed," and then he's off with a flash of light. Xarus vanishes in a similar light.

Giganta's readying another strike, but that breathe knocks her against a wall. The blow hurts. She falls onto the ground and begins to she begins to shrink back to normal size.

Brainwave Jr. gets hit by the icicle. He goes down. It doesn't quite pierce flesh, but it's a heavy rock-like subject sent at him by a Daxamite. The pain is enough. It's like getting a rock tossed at your center mass by a baseball pitcher. Oh, it hurts!

Killer Frost gets struck by the heat. She hits the ground then slides across it. Although, what would normally disfigure her, it causes her skin to turn back to normal. She's breathing deep.

That's three down and Banshee is trying to get up. Giganta clipped her, but now it's three on one. Her hands go up in defeat. Four people apprehended. What will they do? Keep going or not?

The aliens will hear the thrum of the energy. And a sudden, "ZZZZZTTT!" and Humanite's voice doesn't return.

Later scans will tell the Leaguers about those telportation beams. It sounds -close- to the league's own. Maybe reverse energed or similar?
Kara Danvers Kara Danvers glances around, making mental calculations. Looks like only Banshee is left. "Surrender, Banshee, and return whatever you folks stole from this lab and you won't be harmed.." She clenches her fists, stepping towards her, eyes flared with red energy as she gets ready to knock her out should she choose to still fight.
Mon-El     Lar was about halfway there with Ultrahumanite just teleports away. Yeah, he's fast, but doesn't beat teleportation. "Damn it," he curses under his breath. He turns to the others. "I guess we should talk to the scientists about whatever he was after."

"As for these guys," he looks at the four defeated villains then glances at Kara. "You probably know this planet's penal facilities better than I do. I mean, we could send them to Takron, but probably not worth the fuel price."
Firestar Firestar flies to Killer Frost, keeping a little distance. She points her right index finger at the woman and tells her,"Roll over on your face and don't try anything else. I may not want to give you a maser burst at this range, but I will. The results will land you in long term care. Think very hard about what you want to do next."
Clark Kent The gang do have four to take back. What they took. Most of it is just technology to be fence. It will take some time to organize and catalog it. And STAR may not be upfront about everything.

However, the Leaguers do have four prisoners to ask about what Ultrahumanite is doing. And, they know it may have been slowed down. An anti-Kryptonian Deterrent, An anti-fire deterrent, one of Wonder Woman's rivals and one of Superman's. This is a blow, to say the least.

Everything is still, there are those to get back to the hospital. It may take a little bit, but most can be saved. Two or three go down quick. They will say one thing about their attackers. One is "a vampire. fangs and all. He fed on them," and that explains why some of those die. They were fed off of a little too much. Why the blood is in the room, too.
