Lady Blackhawk     Even if Zinda did nothing but bitch about the airport, and the general quality of air traffic control the -entire- way down here? Taxco is pretty nice, it's certainly "old world" with narrow streets at strange angles, it's less like Mexico and more like Spain if anything. It's quiet and the streets are clean, but then again this may be because the capes down in Taxco? They have a reputation, these guys deliver justice with a certain finality. You can debate the methods, but well even with the lights dimmed the city is more sleepy than anything.

Old Man Fisher knows people, but then again he wan the Colombian office for years so of course he would know people in this world from all over. The guy in question is, well there have apparently been a few of them over the years. They just called him "El negro", some sort've supernatural guy who really kicked ass and took names down here. The spot for the meeting had been arranged, a large park just north of town. Beyond the fountains and party music, beyond the amber glow of those street lights.
There is less of a park and more of a forest, or at least a copse of black twisted trees and a mess of cacti. The sky above decorated with a million stars, and the soft silver glow of the moonlight beyond. The meeting had called for midnight, and it wasn't time just yet.
Black Canary     Dinah is dressed more like a tourist and less like her rooftop shenannigans costume, cotton khaki shorts and a blue top tied under her breasts, the top unbuttoned to give her some relief from the heat, with sturdy hiking style boots on her feet along with the messenger bag she has resting over her shoulder as she arrives at the meet point, looking around alertly. "Yup. Middle of the night meet in a foreign country." she murmurs. "Fun fun...." ABout half the time these don't end well for her, or at least devolve into a nice brawl. She'll be pleasantly suprised if her contact shows with no problems though. And at least she can admire the stars a bit.
Lady Blackhawk     "El Negro" is literally "The Black", not the darkness or the shadow. Black. When the bell tolls midnight, he arrives to live up to that name indeed. It rises from the ground, grows from the earth with a creak and a grown like dying trees in the wind. It's form largely shapeless, just a mass of darkness beyond measure. It's fringes like silk blow in the wind out of time, delayed by a few seconds perhaps? Still the shape is vaguely somewhat humanoid, if tall. Like an eight foot tall person in a cloak, perhaps. Still it rises, casting no shadows in the dim moonlight.
"It has been told, that you hunt one who has taken. We have long searched, we have dearly slain, we have wondered and hoped."Slowly the shape turns, and those eyes of brilliant yellow glow brightly enough to light up the park. It's teeth, enormous and inhuman stained with both red and yellow ichor. This isn't a dude in a costume then, there's something heavier here. "The stalking man, tells us you found him. The Dangerous one, who wore black and fought as if he were more bull than man? Tell us, little bird. Tell us what you saw."
Black Canary     Dinah goes on alert when El Negro rises, her eyes widening slightly as she takes in....that. Wow. Okay, she was sort of expecting a guy in a black baklava or something, not that. "...if you mean, did I find one of the people with a nail in him, yes. I'm trying to find out who he was..and I want to find whoever has gotten in the business of hammering them in people's heads." she says steadily, looking back up at the...creature.
Lady Blackhawk     "He was not "one of the people", he was Perigroso. He was a man of honor, bravery and compassion. He shall live as long as that name is remembered."The creature sinks backwards, fixing it's illuminary gaze firmly upon Dinah. "He was a champion of the people, a man of uncommon compassion. He was the best of us, the kindest. As strong as time, as kind as the morning warmth. His son has taken up the mask, he burns for a weighing of scales. A reckoning, and it will devour his soul and cast him into darkness beyond even by gaze. Your work must be complete, and it must be swift if you are to save this boy and the legacy of Perigroso. Do you understand, little bird?"

Gaze diverting somewhat, guiding those search lights off to the west. "He hunted a man known as the, I don't know of an approriate words in any mortal tongue. He was the, "Breaker of names" you might say. He turns men inside out, turns their hearts upside down for gold. An ancient kind of man, who trafficks with the unclean and the unbidden. The puppeteers, the drinkers of blood, the burners of souls."
Black Canary     The blonde woman considers, then nods slowly as she looks back. "I do..." she murmurs, firmly. "Where did he go to find this man? What name did this man use?" She frowns as she listens thoughfully. Certainly sounds like the asshole with the nails to her.
Lady Blackhawk     "I only know what he is called, "The Keeper of Spiders". He is old, a priest to gods long forgotten by all. Older than even I. He may be slain only by the claws of the sun, so that the light may roast his heart alive. He has been hired, or retained rather by men of mortal evil. They seek to rule a country to the south, and sought this man to aid them in this endeavor. They have taken others, but I do not know the names. I just hear of heroes and champions, missing and forgotten. This wounds me greatly."Finally screwing that gaze back towards Dinah. "He will try and take you, he will try and break you. He will make you a puppet, and use you to destroy everyone. Your friend, I can feel his touch on her from here. The breaker of names, I feel she knows this man."
Black Canary     There's a definite stiffening in Dinah's stance. "My friend does? The one who came with me?" she says, a look of worry crossing her face. She's not sure then, if he's this old...perhaps Zinda has fought him before? She didn't seem to recognize the spiders, but she's fought a LOT of villains, then again. "....so he can't be killed, unless it's in sunlight?" she murmurs softly, then puts a hand on her hip. "...he can try." she steadily, to the warning.
Lady Blackhawk     "A blade of gold, a claw of the sun."Or so it explains. "Sharks, foul spiders and serpents were seen once as devils. As foul things inflicted upon man, the sorcery of one is the sorcery of all. Such a poison once practiced, is never made clean. Execution of his will likewise, stains the soul. It is my purpose, to take those who have spoiled their souls. To rend them into memory alone, to free their fellows of their influence. Your friend, she has done his will."And slowly it reaches out, less a hand and more of a shadowy immaterial sort've creep of fog given form. "I will grant you this boon, because in this we are allies. Close your eyes, and you shall be made to see the truth of it. This boon shall pass fairly, when the deed is done."
Black Canary     There's a quirk to her lips as she listens, again getting a bit more tense at the idea that a friend has done his will...she assumes without knowing it? Still...even though she's not known them long, she's come to feel a fierce loyalty for the rest of the Blackhawks, and it gets her hackles up at the idea of one of them being endangered.

She pauses, then mmms, before she closes her eyes. Well, he's been on the level so far, she figures. Creepy, but hey...she's met the Spectre and Deadman.
Lady Blackhawk     It's touch is like an icepick, it's like touching the opposite of life and it may be just that. "The truth of things is not always easy, and it may be obscured from those you hold dear. This is not any more or less real, than what you have seen before. The perspective however, allows perhaps...enlightenment."Le Negro, The towering evil entity is present but so is the dog. A small black dog with a bright red collar, and a little scrap of cloth thats been fashioned into a cape. Emblazoned with "Le Negro perro", the Black Dog.

"Perigroso was last seen south of the city, near the factory where they make sweets. You should seek him, if necessary know that whilst bound as such? You have nothing to fear from this city nor any who reside here, if needed we shall aid but we are bound to remain."
Black Canary     Well....she didn't expect the dog, she admits to herself. The cap is adorable though, which kind of makes it feel a little surreal. "Thank you." she says honestly. "I'll do all I can to find the others who are missing, and either give them peace or rescue them if I can." She still kinda hopes rescue is an option...the cynical side of her says she's dreaming, but....maybe she can find one before the nail goes in, if nothing else. "I'll find the factory and I'll find Perigroso."
Lady Blackhawk     "Words are easy little bird, deeds are worth far more."It turns, sinking back into the earth. The dog just flops over, and as the mass that is Le Negro sinks it's body withers until it's just bones and then...nothing. "Stop him." comes it's final words, before it's well...gone. Just..gone.
Black Canary     She lets out her breath in a whew. "...okay...well. I'll just...go do that then." she says, eyeing the space where the dog and the taller figure were. She purses her lips softly, then starts jogging back to the rental that got her out here. She needs to make sure Zinda's okay...and then, she needs to find this factory.
Lady Blackhawk     Zinda's not that hard to find, where theres booze and a ruckus. The touch or whatever is, surreal though. Take Zinda for instance, she's situated up at the bar which is normal enough. Beer in one hand, and well at first glance everything seems normal. Except for the shackles on her wrists, though the chain looks to have been broken. Those crisp white gloves stained red, absolutely leaking with the stuff. Just carrying on watching the soccer game like everything is totally normal.

Then there are the other Blackhawks, no really it's the entire original lineup. Granted they're somewhat pale and a little translucent. No there they are just standing around Zinda like it's no big deal. Her very own haunting as it were, curtesy of the squadmates she left behind. Anyway she glances towards Dinah with a grin at her entrnace. "Howdy pardner, how'd that meet go with ya'll contact?"
Black Canary     Dinah's eyes are a bit wide as she just..stares, first at Zinda, then behind her. "...o-okay...' she says. Because that's not creepy at all. It's obvious she's thrown off by something though she recovers after a moment. "He was extremely knowledgeable but creepy, and he gave me some sort of boon that's supposed to let me see things as they really are..." She pauses. "...he also said that a friend of mine had done work for the guy we're looking for?"
Lady Blackhawk     "Well good, c'mon lets get goin."Zinda tosses a few coins on the bar, before snagging a fresh bottle and offering it over to Dinah. "Well I don't reckon it was me, I mean only thing outside the US government I've done work for was uhh. Well the parents, and I mean there was that thing with Killer shark but I don't remember anything with spiders?"Not that she seems terribly bothered, offering Dinah a pat on the shoulder. A wet, bloody pat mind you. "You don't think Grace was moonlighting on us do you? I mean I like her, I really don't get the vibe yaknow?"
Black Canary     She tries hard not to twitch when the pat comes. Just...seeing things, it's...metahporical. Probably. Right? She tilts her head. "...have you ever heard of someone called Perigroso? I'm kinda wondering....because from what it sounded like, some guys are trying to use him to take over the country south of here. With spiders."
Lady Blackhawk     "Perigro, Well no honey I ain't. I know that's spanish for "Dangerous" at least, if that counts?"Shrugging as she slips outside, Nevermind as the rest of the Squadron walks through the wall to keep up behind.
"Well first time we went down to Belize, contract was to stop Venezuela from going all Narco-state. Maybe the Narcos are playing games with bugs?"
Black Canary     Dinah hmmms, walking along as she waves you over to a side alley, then starts to slip out of her clothes quick to get in her 'night' gear, stepping into her fishnets and tugging them up into place, before reaching for the rest of her costume. "Sounds like it. Evil men with money, I could see them hiring someone who controls mind controling spiders....and apparently they've been snatching up heroes in the area. That guy we fought, the luchador looking one...he was looking for who was doing it before he disappeared." She steps into her suit, pulling it up into place and zipping up, then adjusting it a little bit, before she slides on her fighting gloves. "He was last seen at the candy factory south of town...so that's where to next.."
Lady Blackhawk     "Spiders and candy, fuckin great combination."Zinda grouses, and well the Blackhawks seem to be gentleman. Nobody glances back, not even Zinda. "Well shit now you're creeping me out honey, Killer shark was a contract badguy."Zinda frowns at that, stuffing her blooded gloves into her tunic's pockets before letting those shoulders slump. "And nabbing capes no less, Christ girl. It does kinda fit the pattern, don't it?"The worry is a strange thing to edge into her voice, but there it is.
Black Canary     Canary frowns a little at that. "...wait, this Shark guy..he did stuff like this too?" she says, reaching out to gently rest a hand against your arm. "I don't know much about him...but he didn't do any spider crap, that you mentioned...." Still, it does sound similar. "It might just be similar...not the first badguy who decided to grab some metahuman types to make their own slave army with."
Lady Blackhawk     "Not like these big nails driven into folks skulls no, not at all. He used drugs, in the henchmen's foods, injected me with it daily. Never knew where it came from or what was in it though."Zinda offers a little shrug. "I just uh, I started building up a tolerance after a few months. I played along, so he wouldn't up the dosage. Then one day he had me moving all this crap around, his trophy room."Zinda reaches for the smokes that arent there with a wince.

"I found my shotgun, he hadn't unloaded it. So I carried the box in, and then I shoved that shotgun barrel down his throat until it wouldn't go any further. Just to keep him from talkin, cuz I didn't know if I was low enough to resist. Then I fired, alot."She shrugs a little, finally producing one of those Hudsons after the other to casually chamber check. "Then I reloaded a few times, just to make sure. Then I bailed, wasn't a regular drinker before all that."
Black Canary     There's a moment of quiet from your friend, then as you pull out the smokes, you feel her step up to you, then quietly slide her arms around you, hugging you silently for a moment. Just a straight up comforting hug. It's not something Dinah does extremely often, but...she hadn't heard that much about that. Only that he had you, not that...there had been drugs involved, or...she remembers how she nearly broke the one time she was captured like that. "That explains the manacles..." she murmurs softly to herself, the words slightly muffled by your hair.
Lady Blackhawk     Theres a freeze, before Zinda settles down. "C'mon, if this fucker has anything to do with Killer Shark?"She holsters back up, shoulders rolling. "No jokes, I don't care if he's surrendering. If he's buddies with the old fish, he dies. You walk outside, and I get some sort've vengence. I try not to be all quick to violence, but this isn't up for debate. You understand me, Canary?"
Black Canary     She slides her arms off you, stepping back as she nods slightly. "I don't have any problem with this guy going out that way even if he's NOT related to Shark." she says softly, starting to walk with you. "Something like this...I'm not Batman. Some people, you don't try to put behind bars, you put them in the ground before they can hurt someone else...."
Lady Blackhawk     "I know honey, I ain't accusing you of being the Bat. We both been soldiers, difference is you ain't one anymore and I ain't never gonna be anything but."Zinda slows to a stop as the candy factory looms. The air smells sweet, sugary and the lights are certainly on. It's not all -that- big at least, this wouldn't pass for a factory in Gotham anyway. Few blocks worth of square footage, nothing big. Anyway Zinda snags the Fence fromthe bottom and rolls it out, before holding the gap open for Dinah. "Age before Beauty honey."
Black Canary     Canary wrinkles her nose at that. "I'm not sure you don't have that backward.s.." she whispers, before crawling under to join you, dusting off her knees. "If this is the guy, he'll have those spiders..." she murmurs. 'Apparently they're super flameable. Got a lighter?"
Lady Blackhawk     "I got a flare gun, because unlike you miss Fishnets I'm a fucking professional. I'm also a borderline alcoholic and until recently, a smoker. I got fire in spades."Zinda wriggles through without a moment's hesitation. Floating over that simple break action flare pistol, and a trio of flares. Zinda seems content to retain her dual Hudsons. "Right, now lets go introduce ourselves.."
