Lexi Nemo	Alexia has a roommate. This is a very new thing for her, in some ways. She hasn't really lived with other people she was friendly with for about five years, not since she was separated from the Morlocks. Sure, she's lived with some street kids, but while she was friendly enough, well, no one close. Certainly not sharing a room with anyone.     And now she's rooming with Dani, in addition to being able to hang out at the mansion, and having....possibilities in her life again. So she's gone a little overboard on equipping said room. Sure, Dani got her to let her pay for half of the flatscreen she bought. The sound system was her own idea though. And while it's awesome, it's a bit loud. There aren't a huge number of kids on the floor right now, at least, but still....so loud. Enough that the dulcet tones of Weird Science along with the scent of fresh popcorn (she found a microwave too) wafts down the hall.
Dani Moonstar	Dani sits on the bed with Alexia, looking at the girl with a wry expression as she has a bowl of popcorn in front of her too. "Real Genius should be next. Val Kilmer when he was /young/." She grins, taking advantage of the fact that the floor is mostly empty with the movie and everything. Besides, who'd come up to complain right now anyway?
Doug Ramsey	There is a knock on the door. It's a polite knock. But Doug is standing there, barechested in his socks and PJ pants, squinting. "...Hi. Dani?" He says, "...Could you turn it down a little bit? I'm trying to sleep and it's going right through the wall, and even if it's mumbly I still know every line."
Lexi Nemo	Alexia hmms as the credits come up, hopping up as she snags some popcorns, a tendril sprouting out of her upper arm to wind out and hit the eject button as it scoops out the disc, then returns it to its case. "Like Top Gun era Kilmer?" she says with a grin. "Ya got a thing for him?" she says, reaching out to pull out said dvd as the tendril slides the other back into place.     At the knock she blinks and looks at the door, then the tendril winds out to curl around the handle, tugging it open. "Yeeeeeees?" she says, then mmms. "Oh, hey Dead Boy."     She perks at his admission. "Ooh, ya know that one? Hey, do ya know Real Genius too?" She tries to gently curl the tendril like a hook to try and pull him into the room. "Well, if ya can't sleep anyway, might as well watch it with us!" she says cheerfully.
Dani Moonstar	Dani grins, and waves towards Doug, "Hey, come in and watch with us!" She bounces to her feet and gestures, "We've got Real Genius queued up next, and you're more than welcome to hang out here." Apparently they have a pretty nice setup in their room, as they've been /busy/ since Dani moved in earlier. "Come ON, Doug, it'll be fun!"
Doug Ramsey	"I really have a lot of stuff to do--" Doug gets pulled into the room, and then he looks around, and says, "Wow, keen setup." He finds himself sitting on the floor, and he stretches. "I really have a lot of work--" But then he rests his chin in his hand, and yawns. "I haven't seen this movie since-- since... yeah. A lifetime ago. OK." He looks at Alexia, "Have you ever seen Magnum, P.I.? We used to be all about it."
Lexi Nemo	Alexia, who got to see mostly the bargain basement old VCR movies they started giving away for 10 cents a piece when DVDs became a thing (because Morlocks scavenge), perks at that. "Yes! Guy with the mustache. He's awesome! We never had th' whole series though." she says, closing the door. "I might have one of his though, there's some TV stuff inna box! I got a bunch real cheap." She motions to the cardboard box filled to overfloating with what look like random old DVDs. Yard sale, maybe?     She pops the new DVD in before heading over to hop on Dani's bed next to her so she can get at the popcorn, then motions grandly at Dani, since she has the remote. "Begin!" she intones, all queeny.
Doug Ramsey	"Dani and I know a guy who has the whole series boxed set, autographed by Tom Selleck. He even had Tom Selleck as a surprise guest at his 16th birthday party. Really nice guy by the way." Doug stretches.
Dani Moonstar	Dani laughs a bit, "Oh man, I almost forgot about that..." She shakes her head, "He's still pretty hot, even though he's ancient now." With that, she ruffles Doug's hair, leaning forward a bit as she presses play on the remote. "Engage!"
Lexi Nemo	Alexia hmms, leaning back on her hands as her tendril retracts, vanishing again into her upper arm. "Wow, real die hard fan, huh? That's cool...." she says thoughfully. "Is that guy still alive now? I mean, Selleck, he's gotta be kinda old now..." She snags some popcorn, popping it in her mouth as the movie starts up.
Doug Ramsey	"Well it helps that he's a billionaire." Doug says, "I've heard about state dinners that were less opulent than that birthday party." He curls his toes, and reaches for some popcorn.
Dani Moonstar	Dani grins, "Yeah, no kidding. Never saw a chocolate fountain before." She shakes her head, making sure that Doug can reach from her bowl of popcorn, "So yeah, try not to use your power on the technical gobbledegook here, Doug, you might get a headache since it's science gibberish."
Doug Ramsey	"I've seen them before. But I've never seen one that was twelve foot circumference." Doug says, before he murmurs, "Naw, I'm pretty much gibberish-immune." He says, before he pops a piece of popcorn into his mouth.
Lexi Nemo	On screen, CIA guys show off their new space shuttle laser gun! Which is quickly pointed out to be pretty much for illegal assassinations, as it has no other really practical purpose. They are CIA jerks though so they decide to go ahead with it anyway. One guy objects, and after he leaves they all talk about how they should probably kill him. Then go to lunch! It doesn't work anyway becase they haven't come up with a working power system for it. Which is where the hero Mitch comes in! He's all brilliant, and is recruited to go work for a Professor Hathaway, who's in charge of the project...but is pretty much pushing the work off on his unpaid grad students while he uses the money to remodel his house. Mitch also gets to meet Chris (Kilmer) who is brilliant but also eccentric, and his friend, including a weird guy who apparently lives in his closet.     "Man, back when they actually had a space shuttle..." Lexi says absently. "Ooh, he is kinda cute back then, you're right..." she asides to Dani.
Dani Moonstar	Dani grins at Doug, "Fine, don't say I didn't warn you." She smiles and leans back, noting, "Oh yeah, mrowr. Must have been nice to be alive in the 80s... wait, no smartphones, no Mass Effect. Nevermind." Apparently she did get a little modern tech out on the Rez.
Doug Ramsey	"I dunno," Doug says, "A lot of neat synthesizer music." He says. "New Wave, hair metal..." He says, "I think it had its upsides." He says, "Man, this movie was weird even before I died..."
Lexi Nemo	Of course Hathaway has an evil preppy assistant named Kent who gets all upset when Mitch is put in charge of the laser power project and basically sets out to make his life a living hell. Chris doesn't take it serious and instead gets Mitch to go to a pool party, which causes MItch to be yelled at for wasting time. Then Kent put his tearful call home to parents over the loudspeakers at the party to humiliate him. Because Kent is an ass as only a villain in an 80s movie can be. Mitch is ready to quit, but Chris convinces him to stick it out, though he says he needs to remember to have fun or he'll crack...like Lazlo, the guy in his closet, who apparently did so in the 70s when he found out his designs were being used as weapons. And has been at the school ever since. In the closet.     "Hey, I like hair metal, so there's that! Lotsa good songs back then." she says, kicking a leg absently. "...man I'd swear eternal vengeance on that guy. Like, vendetta. FOREVER."
Dani Moonstar	Dani grins over at Lexi, "Just wait." She sounds a bit smug, having seen the movie a few times, before she leans down towards Doug again, "And by the way, I think I'd be game for trying Shadowrun, just because it'll drive Dr. McCoy crazy that we're playing it. But I'm /not/ playing the shaman."
Doug Ramsey	Doug thinks about that, and then says, "Why don't we play it in the Danger Room?" He stretches out, and puts his arms over his head. "I know how to use it. The hard-light holograms can fake spells and give character stats readouts..."
Lexi Nemo	Alexia looks over at the pair of you, raising a brow. "...what's Shadowrun?" she says after a moment, in the tones of the warily clueless. "It's a game? And what's a Danger Room?" she adds after a moment of thought. "Ya got someplace that does hard light holograms? That's so cool!" she says, her eyes getting a definite note of interest.
Dani Moonstar	Dani oohs, "We could totally do that, Doug, great idea." She then looks over at Alexia, "It's a roleplaying game, just with paper... well, normally paper, maybe not here." She grins, "Dark future megacorporations but with magic and cyberware and..." She pauses, then does air quotes, "Dark future."
Doug Ramsey	"I've heard of worse ones." Doug says. "But it's a neat story." He says, "Basically, you're a group of unsanctioned people who act as pawns in intricate schemes concocted by competing corporations, usually centering on a mission, like 'Destroy this data' or 'Steal this item.' Short version."
Lexi Nemo	Lexi frowns thoughfully. "...so it's...like, Blade Runner?" she says after a moment. "Like one of those games where ya roll dice and have sheets and stuff?" She smiles a bit. "You guys play that stuff? Never had the chance ta do stuff like tha'..."
Doug Ramsey	"It's like Blade Runner and Lord of the Rings had a funky baby." Doug says. "Hank hates it because it adulterates his pure science dystopia, but I love it." Then he nods. "Yeah, I used to play all the time back before I wound up hanging out with real space aliens and meeting real wizards."
Dani Moonstar	Dani grins, "Well, I didn't until /someone/ decided to turn us into his new gaming group. But it's actually pretty fun." She looks over at Doug, then adds, "And Valkyries, don't forget those." She then glances back to Lexi, "Pretty sure you're more than welcome to play too. We can show you how to do it."
Lexi Nemo	Alexia hmmms, looking thoughful. "Sure, I'll give it a go." she says with a smile. "I don't know nothin' about how to make characters or stuff, so you'll have to fill me on on it." She leans forward. "When d'ya play?"
Doug Ramsey	"I guess we play when the players come up with their characters and I can get clearance to go to the Danger Room and program a scenario." Doug says, before he sits back and says "This movie really is such a trip. Total headspace..."
Dani Moonstar	Dani grins at Doug, "No kidding. /That/ is a lot of popcorn!" She laughs a bit, watching the Evil Professor's house be pretty much destroyed by becoming the world's largest Jiffy Pop, thanks to military lasers and lots of planning. She then hmms, "Yeah, if they'd let us. That'd be the real trick."
Lexi Nemo	Alexia grins evilly. "Oh, I liked th' transmitter in th' tooth. That's GOOD revenge there." she agrees as she looks at the other two, listening, her brow furrowing a bit as she feels like she's missing something. "Well, sure....when d'ya wanna do this then? An' what do I need ta figure out before then?"
Doug Ramsey	"Well I mean you'd just need to figure out what you wanted to play. Dani can help you come up with the costuming. All the gear like the guns and stuff, the Danger Room can create." Then Doug muses, "Yeah, this can work..."
Dani Moonstar	Dani chuckles, "Sounds good to me. Now we just need to get enough people together again for a group." She grins at Doug, "And then yeah, getting access. Shouldn't be too hard, though we might need to adjust the settings to reflect our characters. Pretty sure I don't have Wired Reflexes, though it would be cool." Dani Moonstar. Street Samurai!     Lord help us.
Lexi Nemo	Lexi perks at the idea of costumes. "Oh, cool, so ya dress up too?" This is sounding more and more awesome to her as it's explained. "Yeah, that sounds cool!" She pulls her legs up, sitting crosslegged as she leans forward. "So what do you guys play?"
Doug Ramsey	"Well I would be the game master," Doug says, "So I'd be up in the booth, running things." Then he says, "Well it's easy enough to make sure that when you're engaging others their reflexes slow down to reflect your wired reflexes or Adept powers..." Doug thinks, "I can figure that out."
Dani Moonstar	Dani grins, "Well, I haven't decided what I'm going to be just yet. I mean, I wouldn't mind being a street samurai, because that sounds... pretty different than what I normally do."
Doug Ramsey	Doug scoffs, and says, to Lexi, "She can aim a bow with her foot and pull the string with her teeth. I know, I've seen her do it. Don't let her bull you."
Lexi Nemo	"Ooh, street samurai. That SOUNDS cool." she says cheerfulyl, then binks at Doug, then back to Dani. "....seriously?" she says, tilting her head at her. "You do bow work?" She didn't want to assume that, mostly because she was kinda afraid of being called racist for thinking it!
Doug Ramsey	Then Doug rises to his feet. "Okay." He says to the other two, "I'm going to try and go back to sleep." he pushes himself up onto his toes, and stretches his arms out to the sides. "You both haave a good night."
Dani Moonstar	Dani grins, "Yeah, my grandpa taught me a lot about the old ways, Lexi. Horseriding, using a bow, or a spear. I'm pretty handy with that stuff." She waves to Doug as he goes, then grins and turns down the volume a few notches, so hopefully Doug can get some sleep.
Lexi Nemo	Lexi hmms, then yawns a bit. "Hmm...I wanna hear more about this, but I think I'm gonna pumpkinize..." she admits, rubbing her eyes. "Wanna crash for tonight? Ya can explain all this stuff in the morning!" She grins. "An' I kinda wanna see ya shoot an arrow with your foot an' teeth now."
Dani Moonstar	Dani chuckles, "Doug was being a goofball. But yeah, think it's time to crash." She turns off the TV and grins at Lexi, "Definitely have to do more movie nights. This was great."
Lexi Nemo	Lexi smiles as she stands up to wander over to her own bed then digging in her dresser for one of the oversized tank tops she tends to wear to bed, idly letting her shorts drop. Boy shorts underneath for underwear! But she doesn't really think twice about sliding off her top and tossing it at the open laundry basket in the corner, before sliding on the shirt, giving you a brief view of the toxic sun tattoo that covers most of her back before she flops back on her bed. "Yeah..." she say a soft smile. "NEver got to watch a lotta this stuff...it's nice to have someone to watch it with now.     She reaches over and scoots up to pull one of her two pillows in close to hug as she rests her head on the other. She usually just sleeps on top of the bed, especially as warm as it is. Her gold eyes peer over. "I guess Doug and you got a lot in common, huh? You're both kinda restarting after losing time."
Dani Moonstar	Dani nods, "Yeah, Doug and I got here about the same time, originally." Well, sorta kinda, her brain's been sorting out the whole time weirdness instinctively, so, to her they pretty much did. Then she continues, "He's a good guy. But we've both been through a lot of weirdness."
Lexi Nemo	Lexi mmmms, pursing her lips. "Yeah, he told me. Dead and alive but he's got some kinda virus thing." She looks thoughful. "But alive is better than dead. Even if ya got problems to overcome, right?"
Dani Moonstar	Dani nods, laying back in her bed as she was already in her pajamas. In this case, pretty modest plaid leggings and an oversized Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters T-shirt. She grins over at Lexi, "Yeah, it's... pretty complicated, but I'm glad he's still around." She sighs softly, "Always felt, well... responsible."
Lexi Nemo	Alexia's eyes get soft, a little distant. "...don't blame yerself for th' evil others do." she murmurs then yawns softly, before her eyes close. "G'night roomie..."
Dani Moonstar	Dani yawns and curls up under the bedsheets, "Yeah, I know... g'night." She closes her eyes and drifts off, going to sleep almost immediately as it has been a bit of a long day.
