Lytle So far, Lytle has failed to find any school for heroes. He knows there are supposed to be some in the area, but they are hidden from their enemies...and thus finding them can be kind of tough. Someone did direct him to this place. OK, so it was more like, "Get back to Mutant Town where you freaks belong." Still, it is not a bad place to look. He does not stand out nearly so much here.
Alexander Dubois Busking in Mutant Town would be pointless, even if Alexander DID have his guitar. About all Alexander's got is his MP3 player. And yet he's still practicing. So there's a dark-skinned kid with brown hair and gold eyes, wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and sneakers that look like they've seen better days, sitting on the ground near an alley. He's leaning back against the building behind him, not really seeming to be waiting for anyone. A pair of black earbuds are tucked into his ears, and he's singing quietly. In Japanese. He's... passable at it. But he doesn't look Japanese.

He notices Lytle, all right. He pauses in his singing and turns to look at the blue person. He doesn't stare, mind, but the blue person is noticeable. He just offers a nod. Internally? Why should he judge, he thinks. He could be considered 'weird', too. No heartbeat, he only needs to breathe to talk, and his body temperature is about the same as the air around him. That said he's probably not the only person sitting on the ground around here...
Lexi Nemo     Walking down a bit behind Lytle, in fact, is another example of how much he blends. Exotically colored people, unite! That would be the girl wearing the slightly unseasonable light black hoodie, which depicts a kitten dressed as Indiana Jones (complete with fedora and whip) battling German shepherds, complete with facist looking uniforms with crossed dogbones. Her shorts, on the other hand, are quite short, enough that the mauve color of the legs left uncovered are pretty obvious, her sneakers having noticeable enhanced treads as she walks along. The hoodie is pulled up at the moment...beause she's supposed to be keeping a low profile here.
Lytle A car barrels around the corner. There are four people in it wearing some kind of brown uniform. Two of them toss out bottles with flaming rags from the windows, a third sprays the area with some kind of rapidly firing gun. Bullets an Molatov Cockails make many of the innocent mutants on the street dive for cover. A young child (apparently a toddler) Trips and falls in the street. Lytle jumps between the car and the infant...bullets hit hum and stop dead, dropping to the ground at his feet.
Alexander Dubois Alexander also notices the purple-skinned woman, but he merely sends her a nod of greeting, as well as one to the blue person. It all seems normal enough, considering where they are, and Alexander isn't thinking too much of people with odd skin tones.

Being on the ground makes it difficult to dodge when the stuff starts flying. And flying is exactly what that stuff is doing. Alexander scrambles back into the alley when people start shooting and throwing fire. The kid in the street makes him wince, though, and he prepares to look away.

That's when the blue person gets between the car and the kid... and the bullets seem to bounce off. That gives Alexander the courage to run out of his hiding place, try to grab the kid, and pull him (or her?) out of the street and into the alley. Hopefully it'll be semi-safe there...
Lytle Someone has pulled the child away, good...Lytle LOOKS at the car and his eyes momentarily flash brighter than a lighthouse beacon...hopefully blinding the driver. He does not stop to see if it works though...he has fires to put out. He jumps onto the fire...flames bother hin nomore than bullets.

Someone in the car has realized that there is a mutant (or apparent mutant anyway) out there who is bulletproof and possibly fireproof as well. He tosses a canister at Lytle that hisses and emits a clour of yellow0sh-green gas. Meanwhile, the car seems to ne barreling towards a group running up the sidewalk.
Lexi Nemo     The purple-skinned girl in question moves with all the adroitness and practice of a long time resident of the street by immediately diving for cover the moment she hears the guns open up, before she even has had time to really focus on the car, diving behind the questionable protection of a pair of old newspaper machines as bullets go whistling by.

As she hears the toddler fall over and start crying, and sees the other boy leap out into the street, it breaks the temporary paralysis that keeps her hidden, her gold eyes narrowing as she reaches up to firmly zip down the hoodie, sliding out of it as she gets a good look at those responsible.

"Oh, YOU fuckers picked the wrong day for this shit..." she spits, pure hatred coming into her voice at the sight of the uniforms, before she bursts from cover.

As she does, her back ripples, before four thick tendrils of muscular flesh sprouts in a smooth motion, curling up like snakes around her before two grab for a pair of nearby trucks behind her, wrapping around them, before the two at the front shoot out to wrap around the back of the speeding car as she gives a hard jerk to lift the back wheels, trying to stop it.
Alexander Dubois There really isn't a lot Alexander can do about a car barreling down the street. Physically he's still a normal human being, more or less. All he can really do is cover the kid's eyes, so the poor kid doesn't see fifty people get flattened to death underneath a car. He doesn't want to see it either, really, so he just looks away. He doesn't see Alexia's tendrils wrapping around the car. He's going to remain sort of curled around the kid to keep him/her from seeing any possible carnage.
Lytle The car jerks to a halt as if it had hit a truck...the air bags do not deploy because the car did not HIT anything despite the sudden stop. The Friends of Humanity inside hit whatever is in front of them pretty hard...and it would be worse for the one who was unbuckled fso he could use the assault weapon freely. HE hits the window, which shatters outwards driving ragges shards of glass into his body, which do not matter much as that body hits the street whils still travelling with considerable speed. The odds are good he will not survive the resulting broken bones. The rest are a bit better off. The Driver is buckeled in and only suffers a few cracked ribs and a broken nose from hitting the steering wheel. The ones in the back seat are least hurt, as the fron seats cushion the impact. It is still a bad crash for them...even if he car is barely damaged. .
Lexi Nemo     Alexia is generally a fairly kind girl. Tough, but not really that interested in hurting people.

In this case, however, there's only a faint wince as the jerk with the gun goes flying through the windshield, straining as her tentacles flex like steel to take the impact. Once it's stopped, the rear tendrils retract back into her back as the upper, still wound around the car, flex again as she simply flips it over on its roof. They're belted in, she figures. Won't hurt them too much. And that way...they won't be going anywhere when the cops get here.
Lytle The good news is there is very little chance of the car catching fire, the bad news for Lytle is that he is in a cloud of tear gas...and while physical impacts are nothing to Lytle chemical attacks work as usual. He is coughing, wheezing, and blimking back tears as he stumbles towards the second fire...he has to stop it before it spreads.
Lexi Nemo     Having dealt with the immediate threat, Alexia turns her attention to the boy caught in the gas, then holds out a hand, another smaller tendril sliding out, running along the ground in a slow sweep until it hits the grenade, then wraps around it, before she hauls back and heaves it with the snap of a whip as it goes flicking into the car with the would-be mutant killers. It at least will keep at away from the people who have generally fled away from the car, she figures.

"What are ya doing!?" she says as she sees Lytle heading for the fire. "Look out, yer gonna get burnt!" She was a bit busy with the car to see him snuff the first batch of flames.
Lytle The Mutant Haters get a wiff of their own medicine as the gas grenade gets tossed into the car. Lytle enters the fire and runs his hands over the coals, and every place he touches the fire goes out. It takes a moment or two, but eventually the entire fire is snuffed. There is a Siren as the police from Disctice X are on their way.
Lexi Nemo     Alexia ahs. "...right...nice." she says thoughfully, her tendrils all retracting again back into her body, before she jogs over to pick up her hoodie. "I wouldn't be here when th' police get here, by th' way! They get kinda picky 'bout stuff like this." She zips up the hoodie. "That means I think ya should book it." she says helpfully, waving a bit, then doing just that, bolting down a nearby alley to get out of sight and away from theoncoming investigation.
