Vorpal Text: <<I'm going to be home tonight.>>
<<Just in case you want to drop by.>>
<<I've got treats.>>

The air conditioner is on full blast, and the tile feels like it is trying to do its best to be a sheet of ice. Tommy's complaints to the landlord did eventually get on everybody's nerves back at the office and instead of repaiting the old AC unit, he got one of the newfangled ones. Nuclear Winter, they're nicknamed.

Tommy doesn't care. Being covered in fur means that you suffocate in the summer, but are relatively comfortable in the cold.

The Cheshire cat is enjoying an afternoon to himself in his apartment, the blinds drawn just enough to keep the sun from frying the apartment, but enough to provide a nice amber glow.

"Alexa, play my Renaissance playlist."

Alexa complies (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_zNWcv7t0I)

"Aah, now that's more like it," the Cheshire cat says, lounging on the couch in his underwear and not much else, placed just so that the waves of cold wind from the air conditioner unit waft over his fur regularly. He briefly glances at the folder of documents from the Children's hospital, mostly the testimony from Timmy that he and Gar got after everything had calmed down. There were things he needed to think about, there was a lead in there somewhere...

But not tonight. He tosses the folder onto the coffee table and then closes his eyes, arms behind his back.
Beast Boy "Did you say treats? What kind of treats? Pizzarolls? Cinnarolls? Snausauges?" Garfield acts, shifting back up to boy form, before shivering once in a pause between questions and then shifting into cat-boy form. Emerald eyes flick over Vorpal in Underwear on the sofa as a faint smirk dances to his lips. He stands just inside the door, hands on his hips, head canted slightly to one side.
Vorpal "Yes, No and Yes," the cat grins, turning his head doorwise. He notices the shiver and reaches for the remote and dials down the intensity a bit. He returns Gar's glance and gives him a mischievous wink as he lifts his hands up to frame Gar as if he were considering taking a photograph. "You wear that suit of yours so well. But you don't need me to tell you that, do you?"

He sits up after a good stretch and pats his lap, "C'mere and say hi to me. I've dialed the AC down, in case you want to check your fur coat by the door," he jokes.
Beast Boy "Nah. It's all good. You go right ahead and keep it on artic and I'll shed right along with you," says Gar, padding over on Cheshire feet to flop on the sofa at his boyfriend's side.

"Besides. Don't you mean up? Dialing it down makes it colder no?"
Vorpal "Only when it's temperature. I was talkin' 'bout intensity." Tommy grins and slides over, shamelessly climbing on Gar's lap as he leans leans over, reaching for Gar's chin with a hand. "Hello Kitty," he says before leaning over for a kiss, his tail swaying behind him.
Beast Boy "OOoh. Right!" Garfield replies, grinning toothishly. His ears perk forward and he rests his hands on Tommy's hips as he's stradled.

"Hmm... hello, pretty titty tat," he chirps exactly as Tweety would. Tail beneath him, the best it can do is wiggle tip slightly as he leans up into the kiss.
Vorpal After lingering on the kiss, and purring, Tommy leans back. "Let me get your treats." The cat slides back and off Gar's lap, to stand up, "Before I get tempted." He wiggles his eyebrows and walks towards the kitchen. "I've got peach tea and lemonade. What's your poison with the pizza rolls, stranger?"
Beast Boy Garfield's purring too, a purr that shifts into a light whine as Tommy leans back, breaking hte kiss.

"You're not my treat?" he asks, letting Tommy slide away though his hands linger without pulling. The green feline grins and just stays reclined on the sofa, watching the ginger tabby.

"Tea, and ...yes?"
Vorpal "Tea and rolls coming right up," the Cheshire goes to the fridge and pulls out the pitcher, two glasses from the cupboard and he pours liberally, setting them on the tray. He taps the Microwave and it comes to life- the pizza rolls already inside. He clearly was prepared.

"I am your treat, of course, but I thought you'd like an appetizer first." he winks and brings the tray over, offering a glass to Gar.

"You know, now that I'm finally going to be a Titan, we'll be living in the same building." He takes his glass and sits on Gar's lap again, leaning against him. "I've never been part of a group before. Actually, I'm kinda nervous..."
Beast Boy Gar rolls his head, cranking his neck a bit to keep Tommy in his line of sight. His green mop of a mane flops and splays out on the back of the sofa. He licks his lips at the thought of pizza rolls and TOmmy.

"YOu know how to whet my appetite," he quips, sitting up enough to take the glass and accept cat in lap once more. His free hand cards through orange and red fur.

"We will be. Rent free. Need help moving your stuff or you going to keep this place? Cause I don't mind helping you keep this place. It's nice to have a place away from Tower crazy. And don't sweat it, kitten. You're adorable, like me. THey'll love you too."
Vorpal "I think keeping this place is a good idea. Tommy Hunter lives here, not Vorpal, so it's a good way to keep the secret identity." He purrs and leans into the stroking, and reaches with his free hand to run his hands down Gar's mane, too.

"Yeah, but I don't know the first thing about heroing formally. I've been doing all of this by the seat of my pants. You have experience! That adds to being adorable and all, you know."

Tommy nuzzles Gar, "You did such a good job with the kids, by the way. I have no idea how to handle children. I always say and do the totally wrong thing."
Beast Boy "It is a good way to do that, yup!" Garfield purrs, sipping his drink and petting his kitten and enjoying being pet in return.

"You'll do great. I'm sure Starfire and the others will get us some team-up training character bonding stuff soon. The trick of it is to come to trust your teammates. KNow what they can do and what would hurt them. Use your strengths to cover those areas that would hurt them, and trust they'll do the same for you. That's all I do," Garfield explains with the ease of someone giving up a cookie recipe. Eyes close at the nuzzle.

"Thanks. I love kids. I just.. say what I wish someone had said to me when I was young, and what my foster parents ended up saying to me as I got a bit older. That's all. Really, it doesn't matter WHAT you say. It matters how you say it. It has to come from the heart, and has to come with listening to them. With some of the things they've been through, some of those kids are so much wiser than so many adilts I know. Wiser than me! Not that that's hard, but ya get me?"
Vorpal The Cheshire cat looks at the green cat for a little while while he nuzzles him. It looks like he's about to say something when the microwave beeps.

"Pizza rolls are ready!" he says, sliding off Gar's lap and putting his glass on the coffee table while he goes over to the kitchen again.

"Wiser than you, you say?"
Beast Boy Again, Garfield watches his boyfriend pad away from him.

"MmmHmm. Wiser than me!" he parrots with a smirk.
Vorpal "That explains it, then. That's why you are with me, you make bad decisions." The cat grins and pads back with a plate of pizza rolls, sitting down on the arm rest of the couch, extending the plate to Gar. "So, how long before you realize you've made a terrible, terrible mistake?"
Beast Boy "Horrible decisions," Garfield agrees with a nod, smirking growing into a grin. He reaches for the plate as he sets his glass next to Tommy's to free a hand to offer the ginger cat.

"Depends on how long you keep blinding me with awesomeness."
Vorpal "Do you usually downplay yourself? I mean, you're always making fun of yourself." Tommy swings his legs around so he rests his feet on the couch, balancing the plate between his knees. He grabs a pizza roll himself and begins to munch it.

"I heavily suspect that Garfield Logan is no fool..."
Beast Boy When the plate isn't given over and Tommy doesn't take his hand, Garfield spins to face Tommy, one knee bent up. Pizza roll is taken and popped into mouth.

"I'm the easiest person I can make fun of. No one knows me better than me, and it's not mean to anyone, making fun of myself. Besides, it helps othet people laugh at themselves, and lets them laugh off the hard stuff so it's easier to deal with," Garfield replies. A wink, and a smirk, and: "Momma didn't raise no fool."
Vorpal

"Sneaky little elf, you are," the cat chuckles. "And I bet you have me all figured out, to boot." He reaches over and balances the plate on Gar's knee, just to be a stinker. "I am beginning to wonder if all of this was part of an elaborate seduction." He slides onto the couch proper once he's sure the plate won't keel over. He munches on the roll, "So... tell me, do you have any longterm plans? Or are you just toying with my fate as the whim comes?" he teases with a wink.
Beast Boy "Not all the way, but some, yeah," Garfield states, taking another pizza roll.

"Of course it's all an elaborate seduction. You're hot!" munch munch chew swallow, another pizza roll.

"Longterm plans... Well, I'm not toying with you, but I'm not sure what long-term plans I'd have. I just know that I'm enjoying your company and being with you and I don't want it to end any time soon, if ever.. so..."
Vorpal "Sounds like our evil goals align perfectly." The cat slides down onto the couch proper. He licks his fingers. "You know... it's almost been a month since I relented. We're going to be spending a lot of time in the Tower and all. We should start training together."

He stretches his legs and rests them on Gar's lap.

"I know I'm going to get to know the rest of the team and learn how to complement them in combat. But I also have a special interest in you, obviously. If we're going to spend so much time together, it'd be a good idea for me to learn how you move."

He pauses, and then rolls his eyes, realizing what he just said. "You know what I mean!"
Beast Boy Feet on his lap, Gar smiles and takes another pizza roll. He chews, grinning as Tommy opens mouth, inserts ball gag, and it leaves Garfield chuckling.

"Sure do. Anytime, any place. Just say it, and we'll go do it," he replies, winking those emerald eyes.
Vorpal "We ARE talking about training, right?" The cat smirks. He stretches out on the couch and purrrs quietly, "Now, what to do, what to do? I was thinking of inviting you out to a movie. You know, you an' me out on the town." He weighs the other option "Or staying here on the couch..."
Beast Boy "Of course we are," Garfield says with a cheeky grin that does nothing to support his words and he knows it.

"Both have merit. OUt on the town means I get to show you off, maybe take you dancing... staying here on the couch means you stay in your underpants..."
Vorpal Tommy laughs, "Then going out it is!" he slides off the couch with a mischievous grin and walks over to the dresser to pull out something for a night on the town. A short-sleeved shirt he could wear , and shorts. Living near the beach in this area of town in the summer did allow for a certain lassitude in dress code. As he slides into the shorts he grins at Gar as he walks over to him "You are totally wrong, it is I who gets to show you off," holding out a hand to Gar he adds, "You can always try to get me back down to my underpants as the night rolls on."
Beast Boy "Challenge accepted!" Gar replies as he takes the hand, rolls up to his feet, and hops nimbly OVR the coffee table and toward the door. No, he didn't OPEN the door to get into the apartment. He just... sort of ...APPEARED on the inside of the door.
Vorpal And quickly, just like that the cat grabs Gar's wrist and spins him around, pulling him in so that they're both face to face. He wraps an arm around Gar's waist and his grins widens, "Unless *I* get you down to your underpants first. Want to place a wager on who wins tonight?"
Beast Boy "Double or nothing, furball," Garfield says, grinning Tommy's Cheshire Grin right back at him. "And no cheating with magicking my clothes gone. Just good old fashioned flirting."
Vorpal "What? Even with your easy access tab?" the cat teases and reaches up to the red and white costume's neck, gabbing a hold of the zipper tab and Zzzzzzzips it down to about mid-waist. "Alright, alright! Just flirting." Zzzziiiiiiiiiiiips it all the way up. "You're so going to lose, by the way." He leans forward and plants a kiss on Gar before grabbing him by the hand and pulling him towards the door.

"Now c'mon! I've never gone dancing with a guy before!"
