Poison Ivy     This park in Gotham was... gathering an interesting reputation. It wasn't the most dangerous park in Gotham, people still felt like they could walk the park during the daytime - but the nighttime was a different matter. At night, it turned into a horror show of muggings, gang activity, and drug use - usually cleared out in the morning by a few aggressive GCPD patrols.

But not... lately. After an entire gang disappeared in the woods of the park, and various others - criminals have been giving this place a wide berth. It was Gotham, they knew someone supernatural had moved in.

Those in the know would see Ivy's fingerprints all over it. Sure there were no reports of a 'green woman' running around, but the location, the style, and the fact that the woods were turning into a lush, overgrown area - and the city groundskeepers that usually took care of it decided to stay away from it - would all be clues that would point to the presence of one Miss Isley.

It was almost becoming a jungle, in the middle of Gotham, with vines and wide-petaled flowers, nearly a foot in diameter, sprouting.
Lytle :ytle has been wandering the general area since he arrived a few weeks ago. He had heard there werre schools here that teach youn people to use their powers, but he has no idea where in the area those schools are. He thinks if he goes around drawing attention, he will get noticed eventually. So far, he has managed to get reported on a few times, but no one has found him. He if gliding on his cape, looking for something to make him noticed. He sees the strangely overgrown park and lands nearby to take a closer look.
Selina Kyle Catwoman and Poison Ivy are not a pair who have crossed paths or work in the same circles in and around Gotham City, but it certainly didn't take long for her to become aware of the woman's presence in Saint Mary's Park once the escape from Arkham Asylum took place. Busy with other things while that was happening - namely a little jewel heist while Batman was otherwise occupied - she's left Ivy to her own business.

That is, until now. She could have done this during the daytime, but that's not when Catwoman tends to be very active. That's time for her alter ego to keep the ruse up, the identities separate. But, now that a few more rumors are swirling around the park, not to mention clear signs of Ivy's handiwork, it's time to investigate. Once night's taken effect and darkness spreads, the cat is out to play, or in this case, stroll into the park as if she owned the place.
Damian Wayne      Night had been the domain of many thugs and criminals in Gotham. Of course, her Caped Crusaders had noticed the state of the park return to one that...was actually alright for children to play in. The Batman had given Poison Ivy a wide berth so far, but as to why exactly, was not told to Robin.

An Al Ghul was taught to respect Mother Nature, and to keep her protected in some strange way. This was also one of Damian's charges before defecting from the League of Assassins. Robin used his grapnel to swing from building to building this night, right to the edge of the park. The Boy Wonder maintained stayed across the street for now, paying attention to the grove that had sprouted up at Saint Mary's.
Poison Ivy Ivy had already had a visit from one Bat.

Why not another Bat - and the Cat as well? Not to mention someone infested with an alien plant. The park was silent. Incredibly so as the people descended upon it. Granted, at night, most things were silent but - there was no presence of animals to be found, or even the smallest insect. But yes, the park had become safe.

Batman had growled at her to not attack any innocents. Which... Ivy had not so far. But barring one young child, that she promptly had returned to the outskirts of her grove, well. Gothamites were the kinda people that learned things like 'don't walk down this alley after dark' and 'don't go into strange parks, especially if Jim the hot dog cart guy said he saw the trees moving'.

GCPD likewise was giving her a wide berth, perhaps enjoying the break from patrolling the park, and understanding the Bat would probably take care of it - sooner or later. Firebombing Ivy's hideouts had historically /terrible/ results. Selina, being the one who was walking directly into the grove proper - there was the lawn around the little clutch of trees in the park, but once one hit the treeline...

It was as if they stepped into the jungle. The tempurature was increased a step or three, the air was muggier and humid, and in the darkness, especially - there was the sound of creaking things as they move. The others, outside of the grove, no doubt could hear this, or see the slithering of vines through branches as they reposition in response to Selina's movement.

And Selina would hear a voice, Ivy's voice - it had that unnaturally cloying timbre to it, a low sound that almost reverberated in the soul itself.

"Well well well - has the Bat let the Cat off of the leash?" she says, her tone of voice bearing an almost biting edge to the end.
Lytle Lytle adjusts his vision to Lasar Scan. He sends ount pulses of light fron his eyes, giving them a visiblke blue glow, that reflects off things nearby to let him see in the dark. He has yet to run into anything that hurts him much...well barring that tear gas the other day. It makes him a bit overconfidend. He thinks this place reminds him of the island...
Selina Kyle Catwoman might be spotted on the way into the thicker growth of the park, the more unnatural area Ivy's been busy with. Is it any real surprise she's not the only one who's chosen this moment to make her way in? As for that approach, she takes the direct one. If what she thinks she knows of Ivy is true, what good is it to try to sneak in compared to simply taking the most obvious path the woman is sure to be monitoring somehow?

The woman in the black catsuit does take note of whatever details are most apparent, aware of the possibility she's just walking into a basic trap set to catch any intruder, whether bat, cat, or otherwise, but her pace only slows in the event she has to brush any vines aside. Most appear to part, if what she sees is any indication.

Then, she's spoken to. The question draws a short laugh, quiet but audible. "Oh, Ivy. Is that what you've heard? That Batman's got me under his thumb? Just so you know, nobody puts me on a leash. Now, where are you in here? I came to..see how you're doing now that you're back on this side of Arkham's bars. Do I get to see you, or are we playing dark and mysterious tonight?"
Damian Wayne      Damian continued to watch silently, though he did see more people enter in. The boy made a quick decision to enter in. A quick grapple to a high building, a quick release before he lost momentum and Robin spread his cape, activating it to paraglide as he found a sturdy spot on some of the lush foliage to land lightly. He needed to make as little sound as possible.

Nimble fingers toyed with his mask, zooming in to observe Lytle as he made his way through the grove. He shook his head, anyone heading in here was either unaware, or highly confident.
Poison Ivy As Lytle was probably highly aware - overgrown vegetation and lots of plant life tended to play havok with reflected light systems. But assuming his ability kinda went through that... Selina and Lytle both may notice - along with the increasing heat of a thicker presence of CO2 - there was almost a pink haze to the air. A sweet smelling sort of haze that was both cloying - and had kinda a toxic sort of undersmell.

Regardless of such things, perhaps they could see the form of the woman - she showed up as hotter than the surrounding plant life. Perhaps one of Damian's heat vision thingamabibs or some kinda extended hearing gadget could pick up on what Ivy was saying next.

"You do seem to have a habit of staying out of Arkham - or Blackgate," says Ivy - crawling through the branches like a spider, perhaps, with extending limbs. At the last thing she says, Ivy laughs, and in front of Selina, twin vines burst out from the earth, heading skyward. "You should have seen the Bat when he came here, and visited my grove. Hiding behind trees, skulking around - as if he could hide in /my/ realm," she says. The vines stop at the level of the branch cover, and Ivy sticks her leg out - one of the vines wrapping around that extended leg and tugging her out of the tree cover, the other one wrapping around her midsection as she is drawn back down to Earth.

"So your presence, bold and brave - is appreciated, dearest kitten," says Ivy.

And as Ivy is drawn down into the general bioluminesence of the place, her full appearance may be seen. Red hair, tied into a french braid at the back, absolutely blossoming with daises. A wry smirk on her green lips. And big, flat-petaled dark green leaves to protect her modesty, with a belt of vines around the midsection, and blossoming vines for her bikini bottoms. And boots, made of bark and wood and green.

"But you're bringing a friend for insurance? Surely - you should know better than that," she says. Sticking her hip out a bit to one side, Ivy snaps her fingers.

And the forest comes alive around Lytle. The first thing he may notice is twin vines - one reaching for his foot, and the other reaching for his arm, trying to lash around both and tug to help immobilize him. Selina may hear the creaking of vines - only Damian may be able to see both situations.
Lytle Lytle is quickly caught by the vines. He can easily escape (he thinks), but wants to find out what is going on. His power has distinct limits, he can not hit things effectively with hiks or punches, so he has to wrestle them or use his cape or his lasar vision. On the other hand, many aattacks do not hurt him...it tends to make his defensive responses a bit slow. Thing grabbing him has the normal effect on him, he needs to work on defending himself against that.
Selina Kyle There /is/ something about the way the grove smells that gives Catwoman reason to pause instead of moving all the way in. It may be worth added caution on her part. Batman may keep a rebreather in that belt of his, but there is not one in Catwoman's shoulder bag, slung over one shoulder with the strap crossing diagonally down her front, the bag in back.

"Prison clothes are so not my style, you know," she remarks, the level of conversation light for the moment before she pauses, willing herself not to step back when the vines erupt to meet Ivy and bring her down to her level. It wouldn't do to have Ivy think she's so jumpy that a display like this would leave her skittish.

Instead, she brings her clawed hands together slowly. Clap. Clap. Clap. "A nice show, and you're looking as green as ever. It looks like Arkham didn't cause you to wilt that much. As for him?" Batman, obviously. "Yes, that's kind of his thing. I'm not surprised he's already been here, but I thought you'd respond better to a more direct approach."

Dark as the night is, the way the interior of the grove is lit up by what glowing things there are leaves her able to see Poison Ivy clearly enough, even without the night-vision aspect of her goggles factored in. It's the accusation of someone else there to watch her back that leads to an arch of a brow behind those lenses. "What friend? I'm here on my own. Of course I know better than that." When the sound of plantlife becoming more active and aggressive reaches her, she turns in that direction whether she can actually see Lytle yet or not. As for Damian, there's no notice of him so far either.
Damian Wayne      Damian keeps stalking above, having watched Lytle be grabbed by the vines. Not doing anything about it, not even a perceived struggle. What was this guy's ploy? Another glance, and he sees where Catwoman and Ivy had been.

A light click of his tongue while Robin decides on what to do, and since the other guy wasn't struggling, there must be some reason for that. He keeps an eye on Ivy and the Cat, for now.
Poison Ivy Ivy's green eyes narrow a bit as Selina says what she does, the vines themselves unwrapping from around Ivy - going back to lay flat against the earth. The vine about her hip, as the tip draws away - Ivy's fingertips move to brush along it fondly, her eyes settling on Selina proper.

"I do respond better to a direct approach, which is why..."

The forest creaks, the trees groan - and the sound of lashing vines can be heard all around. One might get an impression that the forest itself was angry - and the vines around Lytle tighten, and drag the lad to where they were at - a clearing in the grove, but not the very heart of it. The very heart of her grove would be toxic to just about anyone who was unprepared. "I did wilt. They used fluroscent lights - and I only got the sun for an hour or two each day. They were /starving/ me there, Selina. And cutting me off from my children." A beat, and her voice sharpens a note further. "I will not go back."

"One friend," Ivy says, dangling Lytle by the arms in her grove. Another cant of her head, and she scowls. Damian himself would have a difficult time avoiding being grabbed about the leg, physically drug out of the tree - to be dangled by a foot in the little clearing around Selina. "...two friend. And one of them looks like a bat, hmm?" says Ivy, her eyes narrowing as she turns her attention off of Selina to Damian - the woman stepping forward towards him with a swish of her hips.

"Or perhaps you're getting a little rusty, kitten - if you were followed here, hmm?"
Lytle Lytle says, "Ah, a stranger. I thought you were cousin Flora, she does things like this with plants. I suppose you can call me Lasarlite then. So tell me, are we going to play nice? Mom would be upset if I got destructive without a good reason." Everyone in the Force family is a metahuman, and has a name in some way related to their powers.

He notes the other two, "I did not even notice these two...I need to rork on that. Of course, the undergrush does interfere."
Selina Kyle Those sounds around them, the vines and other plantlife in action? It leaves Catwoman to pause, to keep her guard up in a way, knowing the power Poison Ivy possesses, especially in here, dwarfs what she could do against it if things went south at any point. But, she came here already aware of that danger.

"Believe me when I say I don't envy you that position," she explains even as the vines begin to bring Lytle into view, though she hasn't looked clearly in that direction yet. "I have..children of my own to look after, some with tails, some that shine so spectacularly under the right lighting. But I understand where.."

Now, something causes her to cut herself off. "Two?" This is about the same time Damian is being brought in to hang around, at least initially depending on what he does. "Him? Definitely not a friend, and neither is the other one. I don't know what got him snooping around here," she gestures toward Lytle, raising a brow at how he seems to be carrying himself so far. Then, "But him?" Now on to Damian. "You already said Batman was here. I can't help it if his proteges are casing the area for him. Speaking of which..."

Catwoman's hands clasp in back of her as she leans a few inches in Damian's direction, though she remains effectively rooted to her spot. "You're the newest Robin, aren't you? How many is it Batman's gone through now? No matter." A hand moves to wave the thought off. "Not as tall as the others were, though."
Damian Wayne      The former assassin scowls as he's dragged by the foot towards Ivy and Catwoman. His eyes raged behind those white lenses of the mask. "Dammit! Unhand me woman! Do you not know who I am?!" He yells in a tone that was as much a roar as he could muster.

Damian looked to both ladies, but when the Cat mentions how many of them there were he answers. "Four, but there's only -one- blood son, you'd do your best to remember that, Catwoman." Robin reached into his belt, extracting a birdarang and holding it in his hand like a knife.
Poison Ivy "You thought I was cousin Flora," deadpans Ivy to Lytle. A handful of moments, Ivy had no idea how related their names were to their power, but generally if you had someone named Lasarlite, you knew there was something zappy going on, perhaps. "I think, perhaps, it is best to ask what you are doing then, Lasarlite, barging into my home," she says, her voice drawing low.

It was Damian that draws her attention next. Perhaps he could cut his way out of there with the vines - and Ivy hopes to get ahead of that motion with another vine - lashing out for his blade hand to secure Damian by the wrist.

Would he be fast enough to get his hand out of the way, or the foot vine cut? It's a mystery. "I do not know who you are. Except that you were Nightwing's little friend back at the Asylum," coos Ivy.

A brief glance to Selina. "And yet another Robin, I see. Your..." Blood son? Ivy let her lips grow wider then. "...blood father, Batman - he sent you to spy on me?" she asks.

Selina draws her attention last - a pair of vines building on Ivy's legs and back - their heads were little flytraps, snapping and waving in the air as they move to settle near her shoulders. "If they aren't your friends," Ivy coos. "I hope you wouldn't mind if I turn them both into mulch, would you?" she asks, tilting her head just a touch to one side, letting her smile spark a little brighter.

There was thoughtfulness in her eyes at the mention of Selina's own children, however.
Lytle Lasarlite says, "I would seriosly ratger you not try to turn me into mulch." He adds, "This appears to be a public park, not private property. As to what I am doing here...well actually I am looking for ways to showcase my powers so as to draw the attention of a teacher. I would rather not do that by destuction of property."
Selina Kyle "I know why the caged bird sings," Catwoman says, coming off enough like she's mocking Robin to be taken as such by those around her. Whatever happens with his birdarang and the vines, it's outside the scope of things she cares about just this moment. So, too, is Ivy's dealings with Lytle, who has come off as overconfident thus far.

It's what Damian says about 'blood son' that leads to her looking directly from him to Ivy, then back again, sharing that glance with the controller of the plants. "That's news to me. I had no idea Batman had a little fledgling." Definitely something to file away, and they can be sure she's studying every detail she can about his face, hidden as it is by the domino mask.

Then, she abruptly laughs at something, turning her attention toward Lytle, or Lasarlite as he's calling himself. "Kid, I'm pretty sure you're barking up the wrong tree if you think she's going to teach you anything, especially if you think you're going to impress her by trying to tear this park up." See what she did there? See it? See?

"Ivy, maybe you and I should talk again sometime where we won't be bothered by interruptions. I'm not big on killing, but these are your catches, not mine. Say the word and I'll walk away like I was never here tonight," Catwoman offers, hands settling at her hips, fingers resting against the bullwhip wrapped around her like a belt.
Damian Wayne      Damian makes a swipe at the vine on his foot, it was enough to cut, but not quick enough to escape the one aimed at his wrist. The boy is now dangling from the wrist, at least he is right side up now. "No, he didn't send me to spy on anyone. I was picking up where Nightwing left off while he was busy being wooed by -you-." He says, remembering back to the Arkham incident.

Damian quips back a quote of his own. "Robin Redbreast in a cage throws all Heaven in a rage." The Boy Wonder keeps his cool, well as much as he can. "Yes, turn us into mulch, and when Batman finds out his only son was killed by Poison Ivy, what do you think he'll do then? He will be down here faster than you can say 'Halosulfuron'." Not entirely an idle threat, as he names a herbicide. "The choice is yours, Ivy."
Poison Ivy "Then go elsewhere, Laserlite," says Ivy, mentally reaching into that plant that fills his form, and trying to give it a little tug towards the exit of the place, her hand lifting up to make a dismissive gesture. "My grove is not a place for your vanity to play out, and if your sister speaks to the earth as I do - then perhaps you have a respect for these plants as well."

That leaves Damian. That leaves little Damian, with Ivy drawing near to him. But not too near. She had no doubt he would swing that knife his way. Although she does reach out a hand - and... Damian probably knew the dangers of Ivy's touch. She would risk trying to caress him, trying to brush a little bit of a quickened heartbeat into him, and get his teenage mind off of any thoughts of... violence.

"You're saying Batman would be crushed. Wounded. Destroyed by your death, or even by you being hurt?" There was an underscore of... excitement to her voice? "You're saying /Batman/ would be so wounded by your death, he would give up his silly vow not to kill people? Just for you?"

"...fascinating," she says, her tone of voice drawing low. Releasing the grip on his hand, to let him fall to the ground, none-too-lightly, if she had her way. "Run along home to your father for now, little boy - and return when you are a man. But..." she lifts her chin, pivoting in place, letting her green eyes half hood as she runs a pink tongue against her lips. "Please... do return to me, little Robin," she whispers, her tone of voice filling with a certain sultriness.

One that vanishes almost entirely when she returns her attention to Selina. "Yes. I'm afraid my mood is rather... spoiled at the moment, dearest kitten. Perhaps it is best you run along. And we can meet later. Out of my grove," she says, her tone of voice a bit sharp at that. She considered them intruders. That would be fairly obvious - and the destruction they threatened here was the impetus. "There's a cafe, down the road. The owner... doesn't mind my presence," she says, with a confident little smirk. Vines emerge, wrapping around Ivy, and lifting her up into the trees again. "But leave quickly," comes her voice from the trees then. "...I hold no promises for your safety if you do not."

And with that, Ivy was gone.
Lytle As it seems there is no need for violance, Lytle jupms into the air, grabs a branch and swings higher...repeating this until he is well into the air...and perched on a branch that SHOULDN'T support his weight...but shows no signs of straining or breaking. He then leaps one last time and spreads his cape, gliding away on the night winds.
Selina Kyle Catwoman simply watches Ivy's display in total silence, neither saying nor doing anything to interfere, nothing to give away her thoughts about what's going on. Deep down, would she do something to interfere with Ivy's attempt to kill the others, if she took things in that direction? Fortunately, there's no need to put that question to the test tonight.

"Yes, thank you ever so much for the warning, and the invitation," she tells Ivy, even as the grove is beginning to respond more menacingly to their presence while Ivy's departing. "Let me guess: green tea for you?" is the last thing she calls out, not expecting any sort of answer whatsoever.

Then, with a disdainful look toward both Lytle and Damian, she adds in a scowl for good measure. "Don't try to follow me." She, too, takes her leave.
Damian Wayne      Robin's heartbeat had been pretty in-check, but a caress from her is indeed enough to incite a struggle and a good enough jump in his pulse. "I doubt you'd want to find out." Such a smart-mouthed child.

A slight rough landing and Damian brushes himself off. A flower from Catwoman is enough to raise an eyebrow, but he decides against saying anything against her. The Boy Wonder grabbed his grapnel and aimed for the first inorganic matter he can clutch with it. A quick second click on the gun and he is zipped away. Back into the night and hopefully a certain Bat would not find out Damian had allowed himself to be captured so easily.
