Owner Pose
Damian Wayne      Dusk in Gotham, and there is one Caped Crusader already on the job. Robin had decided to leave early to reflect, as much as he found his own room to be a safe haven, nothing had compared to the silent stoicism of the gargoyles. He looked to one that had resembled a dragon. Seems he'd been conversing with it. "And after all that, I'm not sure what I did was right..." God forbid he actually let someone know what he was talking about.

The skyline here was magnificent, a wonderful blend of Art Deco architecture and neo-gothic. The artist in Damian had enjoyed this spot close to the Parker Building. "I know I wasn't raised to be...how most kids should be. But...the things I see...they aren't what most kids see."
Oliver Queen     The newest Robin of all might think of this place as something of a sanctuary, what with the solitude and the solemnity of it. There definitely is something about the skyline at this time of the evening, with the horizon still faintly blue far off to the West. It lends an almost spoooky air to the city's activities, or at least something akin to melancholy to the moment.
But what the young Robin might also not know... is that this particular rooftop with the gargoyles and this strong vantage point with all the clean sight lines... it's a place that has been used by most of the other vigilantes in this city. In fact Batman and the Green Arrow once had a decent conversation here of all things.
So when he makes the ascent to the place, pulling himself up over the side of the rooftop and appearing in Damian's line of sight, he isn't surprised to see another vigilante. Though the youngest of the Waynes might well be a touch taken aback.
The emerald archer turns his head to the side and catches sight of him, "Hey short pants. Your boss running around?"
Damian Wayne      Once Green Arrow pulls himself up, Damian had already withdrawn two Birdarangs, which were ready to toss at whoever was ascending. The Angry Bird had simply placed them back in his utility belt.

Robin furrowed his brow, returning to crouch next to the gargoyle he had affectionately named 'William'. Damian looked to the horizon, figuring it was close to ten. "Somewhere soon. I left before him." No doubt he'd be somewhere watching his son and assessing/criticizing his technique. "I'm guessing that's a short joke. Cause I don't have those briefs, like the first two did."
Oliver Queen     "Huh?" Oliver Queen has no idea what he's just walked into with a Problem Like Damian. He's just walking over towards the edge of the building and rests a hand upon the gargoyle, his green gauntlet tapping fingertips lightly on its surface as he looks out across the city's skyline. He then shoots a sidelong glance at the young man sharing the rooftop with him and then says, "We haven't met before?"
There's no way he can see the other man's eyes, but he can see the curious cock of an eyebrow that signals his momentary confusion. Then he gives a small nod, "Sorry. I should have realized. You're new, right?" He turns back and then extends his hand towards Robin, saying simply. "Green Arrow. Me and your boss go back. A bit. Kinda." If the handshake is accepted, the archer gives a firm shake, just a few times before letting go and not trying to press too much on it.
"Though," He jerks a thumb over his shoulder, "I tend to stick on the other side of the continent. Star City."
Damian Wayne      "Do we all look the same to you?" Damian reaches for the shake, if only just to ice much more of a squeeze than it requires. The boy gives a smirk at that, but wouldn't be too much of a little prick about it, by his standards. "I've heard of Star City..." And any League of Assassins plans to take it over. "So, what are you doing in Gotham? I'd presume you can just call Batman if you needed to talk to him."
Oliver Queen     "Yeah, some things you don't want to trust to the airwaves, kid." Green Arrow, so presumptuous, already speaking down to the young man. But then again most everyone is a 'kid' to him, no matter their age. Just an affectation perhaps, or a conversational gambit. Either/or.
He lifts a hand though to perhaps stay any protest and instead offers, "There's been this thing going down with Alpha Flight. I wanted to bend his ear if he'd dealt with anything about it." He frowns and sort of gives Damian a once over, then a second over. Yeah, alien invading organisms probably isn't something you share with a kid who is doing this particular thing at the moment.
"Just if you tell him I'm lurking for him, and that I'm in town for a bit, I'd be much obliged."
For a moment he seems likely to leave it at that, but then out of curiousity he asks, "So... what do people call you? Robin mark..." He scrunches up one of those irisless eyelets and then comes up with, "Three? Mark Four?"
Damian Wayne Robin looked westward, that setting sun had a beauty of its own. Moments like this were what he enjoyed in life, that and maiming people, but that is a story for another time. Robin had his hood up, keeping in line with his broody nature before he sighs with frustration. "I'm the fourth. Just call me Robin, I'm the only one right now." The boy also looked to Ollie with a smirk. "I'm also the only true son he has." He offers with a smirk from the corner of his mouth.
Oliver Queen     "Oh?" Now that's a bit interesting. Green Arrow turns around to look at the young man more closely. There is something... curious for sure. The jawline? Maybe. That chin. Something in his bearing assuredly. Whatever it is, it is perceivable now that he knows to look for it. Then again it could all just be the power of suggestions. "Hnh."
But then the archer shifts the hang of his quiver with the roll of a shoulder, eyeballing Damian for a moment. "I imagine the others probably take exception to that attitude." But if that earns a glance or a glower he'll hold up his hands as if to stave off any aggression. "Just sayin'." Then Ollie runs a green leatherclad thumb over the line of his beard and adds, "But I imagine there's a story there."
Damian Wayne      "Actually...almost the opposite." He says, looking back to Ollie. "They're much more patient with me than I deserve." What with the aggression, and the overall bad attitude. Damian isn't sure why he even said that, but with his talking to William, he seems to just be more open for the moment.

"About me? That's an understatement." But then again, what hero kid doesn't have an interesting backstory?
Oliver Queen     The man in green gets a sort of wry smile, the kid's self aware, that's positive for his age... then again, how old is he? He's never been good at figuring out teenagers. Enigmas, all of them. He steps back and rests a hand on the side of the building, tilting his head to the side. "Well that's good then, you guys should get together. Form a union. I bet he doesn't even pay you guys a living wage." At that his lip curls wryly, a joke's being made, but not at Damian's expense.
"Anyways, you see tall dark and spooky, tell him Arrow's looking for him. Alright?" He quirks a blonde eyebrow, awaiting some form of acceptance of those words, then he nods. "Alright." Even if it's a bit negative. He hops up onto the lip of the rooftop, reaching over his shoulder for his bow and opens it with a snap and a click, an arrow trailing a grapple line being fitted to string.
Damian Wayne      Damian gives a bit of a nod. "I'll tell him Robin Hood is looking for a man dressed as a bat." Was that humor? Maybe just a little.

"I understand stealth, but really? That's what you do? Isn't that like bringing a rock to a gunfight?" And there's the wise-assed kid.
Oliver Queen     "Oh you know, we all have our crosses to bear." Ollie brings the arrow back and then fires it... unerringly connecting with the distant pipework that criss-crosses between two lower buildings. He reaches up and attaches something to the line that's suddenly snapped taut, anchored against the building.
The archer glances over at him, "Was nice meeting you, Decoy, the kid-hostage." He snaps a small salute, grin flickering to life across his features. That's so like the Green Arrow though, one moment he's just out and out dissing you, and then the next he's sliding down that cable and leaving a poor young vigilante behind.
Damian Wayne      Damian looked quickly behind himself. Something about that statement made him think something was up. However, when there was nothing behind him, the newest Boy Wonder just exclaimed. "Oh F&@$ you!" Damian clenched his fist. He took out his grapnel and fired, swinging away from the Green Arrow. He figured not to attack someone who worked with his father, seems he's making at least some progress with himself.
