Owner Pose
April O'Neil It was Friday night and April had just gotten off work about an hour ago and now she'd pedaled her butt all the way to Brooklyn from the heart of Manhattan and her phone had been buzzing the whole way!

Once outside of Angelo's pizza, April parked her bike and locked it up to the rack outside the front window. She dug her phone out of her bright yellow jacket and flicked the screen on to see 35 texts all from 'MikeyBruh' with just made April sigh!

She glanced at a few of them and they were as wonderful as (Gr8 Ape! Were Staaaaarving!). "Mispelled 'we're'." April muttered. (YO APE, HIT ME BACK!) and so on.

April had placed the order before she'd started her ride out of the city, so that the pizzas would hopefully be ready once she got here...

The young redheaded reporter moved for the front door, the sun setting on the horizon.
Spider-Man Spider-Man had just been in a tussle with two of his Rogue's gallery that had decided to team up. His uniform was torn across the chest, there were some cuts on his thighs, another near his bicep, and opposite forearm. He had been through the ringer, and took a moment to relax near Angelo's Pizza.

He swung over, enjoying the scent of its aroma, as he placed his feet flush against the building's wall, his knees bent, so that his back could brush against the wall too. He reached into his belt, replacing some web cartridges. And as he was not in any danger, his spider-sense didn't go off even though he was being observed.
April O'Neil April was coming back outside with a stack of five pizza boxes in her hands when Spider-man was flinging around above the store... she had no idea that the web-slinger was there. She knew OF him, but hadn't ever seen him in person before...

April started the wonderful process of trying to walk her bike home while juggling the pizza boxes...

After getting her bike unlocked and unchained again she started to walk... very carefully... down the sidewalk, her heeled boots clicking on the concrete as she walked.

"Someday... someday... April. A bright yellow lambhorgini... all yours. You'll get it, just keep going, keep your head up and your eyes on the b-baAALL!"

She dropped one pizza box and squealed loudly!
Spider-Man That spider-sense wasn't needed to notice April O'Neil, and some lucky little girl across the street got to see Spider-Man spring into action, firing off a webline, catching the falling pizza box in mid fall, and hoisting it back up thanks to the elasticity of the webline.

Even as it was coming to him, and thankfully Angelo's Pizza used those little plastic pizza things in the middle, he caught it, and landed near the reporter, offering her the fallen Pizza, "a yellow Lamborghini sounds great. Yellow doesn't get nearly enough credit. It's a great colour, especially on fast sports cars like a lambo. I'll take two... if they add them to the next Grant Theft Auto game."
April O'Neil April yelped when the pizza fell off of her stack and she yelped again when it was grabbed by that sudden web-blast from off to the side of her vision... and she yelped AGAIN when Spider-man landed on the ground beside her causing her to then drop her yellow/black sport bicycle down onto the sidewalk.

"Jesus." She gasped, breathing heavily now she looked the masked-man up and down. "Spi-spider... man?" She asked him then, even though it was clearly obvious.

She registered what he said and a sudden smile showed up on the young reporters lips. "God, you scared me. I'm sorry. I must look like an idiot!"

April went to juggle the four boxes she still hand in her arms and then reached out to offer to shake his hand with her right.

Her pale blue eyes looked him over from head to toe. "Are you... are you okay?" She asked, noting his injuries and damanged costume.
Spider-Man Spider-Man, while still holding the pizza to her with one hand, caught and supported her sports bike with the other. "Yes, Spider-Man? What have you heard? Wait, you've probably read the Daily Bugle. Nix that. I'm a good guy, saving pizzas and bicycles throughout the Tri-State Area."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I just thought you'd prefer if your pizza didn't hit the pavement. I mean, there's five second rule, but I'm pretty sure that there's a New York street exception to that rule." Once she got the pizzas back, and the bike was fine, he shook her hand with his gloved hand. "Oh, this?" and he tugged on his uniform. "I figured ripped jeans were 'in' so that must mean that ripped spandex is too? Not working for me?"
April O'Neil April gratefully accepted the bike back and let it lean against her hip while she would shake his hand and then grin mischievously at his smart response to her. A slow pair of nods was given to him in acceptance of this excuse.

"Oh... Okay." April replied, dropping her hand then down to slap it on the front of her thigh. "That makes total sense now! Gosh, what was I thinking." She teased him back.

A headshake later though ahd she continued. "Nah. I work at Channel Six. I'm the morning girl... You're probably not a morning person though, what with... ya know, flinging around all night savin' the city from evil."

"April. O'Neil. Reporter... Youtuber... Lover of ridiculous amounts of pizza that she has no Earthly way of explaining as to why she's buying so much of the fattening, artary clogging, cheesey junk."

April's phone started buzzing again as she got more text messages.
Spider-Man Snapping his fingers, his eyes changed size on his mask in recognition, "Ah, April O'Neil. Conspiracy theories. By the way, for the record, I know that there are alligators in the sewer, or at least one of them. I knew I had seen you somewhere, but I didn't want to be that spider, you know, see a pretty girl, instantly remember her from somewhere."

He looked at the four large pizza boxes, "and cold pizza is great too." He held his hand, as if to whisper to her, "I happen to think cold pizza is better, but don't let J. Jonah know. He'd skewer me even more than he already does if he ever got wind of that." And then he shot a webline up, and headed away. His spider-sense was tingling, and it probably had something to do with the scream coming from the northeast. Coincidentally, that's exactly the path he seemed to slinging to.
April O'Neil April held onto her stack of pies as she heard him say these things, it made her smile. Hey, getting a compliment from a very well known superhero was a good thing, it made one feel pretty damn nice inside!

"Thanks." She said at him and nodded to his words. "I do my best to avoid Jayjay as much as possible."

When he took off like that she just spun around to watch him go, his type had a way of vanishing like that as they had a lot going on to take care of and deal with...

A heavy inhale between her lips and then a sharp exhale. "Right. Like all the men in my life." She muttered as she started pushing her bike back down the sidewalk while juggling the pizzas.

April's phone started buzzing again.

"Yeah, yeah... I'm almost there..." She muttered.
