Cassandra Cain     Cassandra had first looked for Diana in the Embassy, and had not found her, only told that the Princess had 'stepped out'. Therefore, Cassandra had gone looking in the Hall of Justice -- eventually seeing the need then to put on her costume, as Batman had dictated to her and for the first time, going to the Watchtower. Afterall, her purpose being in Metropolis was to train with Diana. So, it was time to find her. So the training could go forward.
The Zeta Beam was certainly a new experience, but Batman had made her an ally of the Justice League, which meant she would have access and the very selective process would recognize her as an authorized person to bring aboard.
The Baby Bat as some may have thought her, newly arrived, begins to look around, to get her bearings. The signs on the walls proclaiming which rooms or areas are which way provide no sense of clarity to a girl who is illiterate.
J'onn After the last few days of identifying potential threats, especially the entrance of Starro and now the rumors of this new technology in the hands of gang members, J'onn has taken up a non-stop position at the monitors of the Watchtower. His mind racing through the various bits of information that is supplied to the Watchtower. J'onn currently sits in the Hall of Justice, using the holographic projector here, to display all the various bits of data that has been collected. A picture of the Earth circles in the center with various red colored circles annotating points of interest. Around the globe shows the various defense systems put in place by the Justice League, including the floating form of the Watchtower, and then another red circle near the 5th planet farthest from the Sun.

As Cassandra walks into the Hall, various circles can be seen lighting up and turning off as J'onn sits in a chair at the center of the table. "Welcome Cassandra.," J'onn greets without looking in her direction or moving his eyes from the display, "...I hope you are doing well this day. What brings you to the Watchtower?"
Vorn Some people have secret identities, but some have multiple identies. Such as the case of Vorn - not only was his form different from that of Crusader, but so was his personlity in a sense, making him appear different both physically and mentally (to some extent), but was none the less the same person..mabey! As the orcish Vorn, he was far less former and much more lax when it comes to using his abilities.

He had spent the past night trying to work on his flying manveriblity without some success...as well as trying to get his mind off of starro for various reasons. The orcish being was at the moment invisible, only a distortion within the enviroment as he moved about. He sense the computer alerting the tower to a new presence and made his way there. He say The Baby Bat as well as J'onn, and once he is close enough he reappears saying "Heya hiya how yea doin folks?" he smiles wide.
Cassandra Cain     Questions.
    Cassandra hated questions.
Questions required answers. Answers required talking. Talking required effort. Hard effort. Why couldn't talking be as easy as fighting a group of ten gangsters on the streets of Gotham?
The Batgirl looks both to the Martian, and the orcish Vorn, undisturbed by either's inhuman presence. But the girl with the mask even more secretive than Batman's own with the black eye-holes and the sewn mouthpiece does not seem nearly as exhuberent as Vorn to see the other. Nor is she as talkative as J'onn.
Instead, Cassandra walks over to J'onn, as if to answer, and withdraws a single item from one of the pouches at her utility belt. It is a wallet-sized picture of Diana Prince, but cut out of a newspaper article from one of her Embassy parties.
J'onn "Hello Vorn," The Martian greets, his face and his voice the ever impassive nature, but he does eventually turn his head from the holographic images. It is hard to tell if the Martian ever knows various personalities or not, as he has never referred to any individual except by their preferred moniker. However, with the enigmatic alien, one never really knows for sure what he knows or not. He motions for both individuals to take a seat, apparently not concerned about his work being displayed for all to see, but it's well known that J'onn is one that trusts all of his teammates.

J'onn pauses, appears to be thinking for a moment, and then refocuses his attention on Cassandra. J'onn takes a moment to look at the picture that he's shown, then looks back up, "Ah, Diana. I have not seen her today, but if you give me a moment I will scan to see if she is available..." As he closes his eyes, he motions between the two here with him, "I do not know if either of the two of you have met. Batgirl," His hand motioning to Cassandra, "...this is Vorn" his other hand waving to the orcish individual. Then his focus returns to attempting to locate Wonder Woman.
Vorn "Diana...we think we met her once before" he ponders "At a charity event" he says. He wasn't sure how Martian know his name, but he wasn't bothered by it, it seems. "But aye, Vorn for now, mabey not latter." he thinks about the underground fighting rinks and the nickname he uses down there. "Eh, Vorn will do" but none the less he holds out his hand for Batgirl to shake "Not much of a talker are you? Secretive types always seem like that!" another rumbling laugh

As J'onn gestures to the sea Vorn raises a hand in declination "No thanks J'onn Tron...we still do not trust....chairs" he actually narrows his eyes at the chair. "We will stay standing!"
Cassandra Cain     Batgirl points to the sewn up measure of her mask, and then shakes her head. Then, she tilts her head to J'onn, to Vorn, and remains silent, still. J'onn, perhaps, may be intuitive enough to recognize it was a message, as much as anything.
Still, she does move to sit, since she has been invited. She holds up the image of Diana again, and ventures, "Help." The word is spoken - slowly. Forced. Effort, to speak that word, to make her mind work to move the muscles of her mouth and expel the word from her throat.
    Words are hard.
J'onn "She has responded, and says she is available. I relayed to her that we are in the Watchtower." J'onn speaks up once he opens his eyes, and looks up to Cassandra. "I am sure she will come as soon as her activities allow. You are more than welcome to stay, and wait for her. She was not specific on how long it would take her to arrive at the Watchtower."

The Martian then turns to Vorn, and nods his head once, "It is very likely that it was at a Charity Event. Diana is very diligent about using every method she can to support those in need. She is a Hero in many different ways." As it appears the others are standing, J'onn also slowly stands up from his own chair, as he has learned it is polite in most Human cultures to stand when speaking to others that are standing. "Tron. A reference to a movie starring Jeff Bridges. I have seen both versions of this movie, and prefer the first despite the lack of computer animation. I find the story far more compelling."

J'onn nods once to Cassandra, he taps his head once speaking verbally as well as mentally, "If you prefer, you can respond mentally, but only if you are comfortable with it. It has taken me a long time to gather enough of Batman's trust such that he is now..." he pauses, perhaps a hint of a smile... maybe "...more comfortable than he was, with speaking to me this way. Only if you are comfortable thought."
Vorn "Oh, mute We take it or not used to talking? We do not know much sign language sorry to say" Vorn says with sincerity. Yes, he may be boisterious but he wasn't dense, he saw how Batgirl had a hard time saying help...how forced and slow it was. But even than it didn't quite seem to stop him from communicating "Mabey we take it up, than things will be easier!" of course when J'onn offers up the telepathy to her, he thinks it a good idea, though he dosn't voice it.

"Aye she is a good one. We wish we know he waaaaay back when a part of us was small" he admits. Though at the mention of the movie, he cants his head "...that is movie? We just liked how et rymed! Great, now we are going to have to watch it on the tube" he says crossing his arms as if angry at the movie itself. "....anyone have chocolate?" he suddenly asks.

He than looks back to Cassandra "Why are you looking for Diana anyways?" he wonders of her
Cassandra Cain     Cassandra's thoughts are, at least for a human, something that J'onn perhaps has never really dealt with before unless J'onn has mentally linked with some of the mentally challenged. In various ways, Cassandra is like that. In others, she might be closer to J'onn's own people and thoughts than any other human he's met.
Cassandra understands words, spoken. But only to a lesser extent. The majority of her information in any interaction is derived from body language. No matter how small that body language is. Her thoughts, as much as anything, are evocative. Ideas, instead of word-thoughts. The word 'Train' is expressed in the thought subtext of a desire to make Batman (she does not think of him as Bruce Wayne, despite knowing his identity) proud of her by becoming more 'normal' - able to act like other girls her age.
These thoughts she seems to force, or try to force, towards J'onn. Because thinking is a lot easier than speaking. And, so much so is her discomfort with speaking she'd rather trust a strange telepath in her head who Batman has given some measure of trust to.
J'onn "Hmm, that is a good idea, Vorn. I have picked up Sign Language over the last few years..." J'onn nods in agreement with Vorn, "...if you wish to learn, I could teach you..." His eyes slipping between Vorn and Cassandra, "...there are tactical applications to it as well as social aspects. Many of todays military forces uses various forms of hand signals in order to deal with situations where even a whisper may give away their location."

J'onn mental touch is a bare whisper across Cassandra's mind, totally unobtrusive, and easily felt by her at any point. Coming from the alien is a sense of trust, appreciation of Cassandras privacy, and an empathic transfer of thought patterns instead of complex ideas. During the continued contact, J'onn attempts to keep his body language easy to read, but his impassive facial expressions can make it somewhat difficult for him to convey emotions. Luckily, via the empathic link, it is far easier to understand his intents and moods.

"I am sure that Diana will take great joy and pride in training with you. Her methods are strict, but fair. I have learned much working with her, and under her guidance the few months we have known each other." A sense of pride in working with Wonder Woman comes through his link, as well as his view of normal communication actually being this empathic sharing of ideas.
Vorn "By teach do you mean going into our mind?" Vorn asks outright. It can be seen in his eyes - he didn't like the idea of someone being in his head. However this /was not/ because he distrusted J'onn, it wasn't even because he was agaist the idea of learning in such a fashion. Rather he was afraid of what might be in his own head. But it wasn't an outright no either, he was cautious

Of course looking between J'onn and Cassandra it took some working out on whats going on. And he nods slowly "We never had chance to work with her personly, so we cannot give you any view or anything like that" indeed, the /only/ time he met Diana was at said event, and he wasn't even Vorn or Crusader at the time!

"But still if it is training, we would be glad to train with you. Always take an oppertunity to learn!"
Cassandra Cain     J'onn will get a sense of vauge humor from Cassandra, and then the impression of 'no/wrong'. The black-masked girl looks directly at J'onn then. And, in brief, her history is flashed to J'onn, so the Martian can clearly understand. Memories, brief, of a girl who was brought up - trained - and, never spoken to. Who learned not to speak to people in return, but, to understand people by body language. Who, when most human children were learning to play with dolls was being taught various martial art forms by the likes of Bronze Tiger and Merlyn. A girl who had killed, who had -seen- in the body language the anguish, the terror, and the -nothingness- that her larynx-crushing jab had caused on the target her father had put in front of her -- and now? ... Now, the desire to make Batman proud of learning how to be /normal/. That is the training.
These are not things others don't know. But, perhaps it's the first forum that Cassandra herself, could so openly share them.
She looks back to Vorn, then. Curious at his offer. And, in that same link with J'onn, analyzing the orcish creature. A new desire. A new intrest, in those idea-thoughts. A new martial art to learn?
J'onn "Well, there are several different methods we could use for training." J'onn begins, "One method is the sharing of ideas and thoughts while working on a specific goal. That method does increase the speed in which an individual can learn a given subject. It can be confined to only the information needed to share the topic being discussed." J'onn does not appear to pick up on the anxiety, at least openly, but his first answer seems to directly link to Vorn's initial concern. "A second method is for me to directly feed the information into your thought patterns. This allows for a quick assimilation of the data, but would still require you to build the nervous system to thought pattern connection to actually perform the activities." He then raises both hands slowly to shoulder height, and finishes with, "Or, it can be as simple as a standard class, with instruction and practice that involves no telepathic abilities what-so-ever."

J'onn parses through the thoughts and images as they are mentally passed to him. Again, no judgment on his side of the connection, there is curiosity about the reasoning for such training, but an acceptance of events as they are. He sends over images as well, pictures of people all over the World, their cultures, and J'onn intereacting with them. There appears to be a shared interest in Human Normality compared Morality. Verbally he adds, "I have spent some time around this Planet, watching what people do, and why. I have found it..." a brief pause, "...enlightening. It would be easy for us to see these interactions without notice..." his offer out to both individuals here.

He looks between Vorn and Cassandra, adding "I think you have piqued her interest, Vorn. She is quite skilled in martial arts, and is always looking to learn new methods of combat. Perhaps the two of you could share your varied experiences in a situation that doesn't require verbal methods." Obviously he's talking about sparring...
Vorn Vorn cants his head and gives pause. After a long moment, a pause to consider this options. He finally says "The first option sounds reasonble" he finally says. It adress his concerns in a satisfactory way...though his thoughts slowly drift towards starro again...and they suddenly snap back to the present. "....huh, not sure the second option could work" he says. He dons't doubt J'onn capabilities...but Vorn dosn't have a brain or a nervous system for that matter. He consider this and seems to shrug at some unsaid thought. Brain, no brain, he still has a mind(s), it should work.

"We are always interesting in finding out more! A part of the whole has done much traveling throughout former life...but we never give up chance to see more!" he exclaims.

But than he looks to Cassandra as the message/meaning are relayed. His own body language was akin to that of a teenager, a person who could take on the world fearlessly. He wasn't a teacher, or a student, he was in many ways a wild child looking for a fight. "We do not know much of earthen martial arts...but we are none the less combat able! Not sure if we would make a good teacher" at least in this form "..but perhaps we can teach each other. " he cracks his knuckles and it distinctly sounds like metal snapping. He was obviously not agaist sparring.
Cassandra Cain     Batgirl, like all of the Bat Family, had an undo amount of patience. She had it in spades. So much so, it might annoy, or frustrate impatient people. It is with this patience she waits, listens, to J'onn an Vorn speaking around her, about her, with her. The thought communication is - not unpleasent, and she finds it almost relaxing because she's not burdened with the stress or frustration of trying to find other ways to communicate with people who do not know her.
As J'onn does get called to leave, Cassandra nods, once, to Vorn. She, too will spar. But, as the message comes in that Diana is waiting for Cassandra below, she taps her wrist as if to indicate a watch. Spar - later. Then, she extends her hand to Vorn as she rises, as if to make that compact between them official.
Vorn Vorn grins wide and takes Cassandra hand in his - which is frightening strong. Vorn does display less control than Crusader, and his grip makes that apparent, though it lacked any sort of malice. "Good luck with the training with Diana! We fully expect to have our butts handed to us!" clearly he did not doubt Cassandra abilities in the least. And with that he release his grip to let Batgirl go
