Owner Pose
Rose Kolodny     Dark, dingy, and permeated with the tarry blackness of decades of smoke. Walls of stone and lacquered wood, colors muted to shades of green and black, a floor of worn and pitted wood. The heavy bar is flanked on the left with the toilets, and on the right by a narrow hallway of doors, on the left side of the hallway the doors are marked with the name of a city and a clock, the bars series of highly illegal access to other areas of the world; and on the right, leading behind the bar, 'employees only'.

Beneath a thick coat of resin, the bars original wooden surface is pitted and scarred, the brass rough along it's edge. New barstools of chrome and red have replaced their ancient forebearers. The old wood of the tables and booths likely hasn't changed despite the number of names and owners the place has had over the decades, although the booths, like the stools have been recently reupholstered in dark red.

The recessed pit at the far end of the room from the bar used to belong to the building next door, and it's clear here is where the majority of the current renovation attempt has been focused. Thick plexiglass panels are set into the walls flanking either side of the reinforced doors into the pit itself, with narrow stairs up to the rough seating above. The floor has been taken down to dirt, walls reinforced concrete with reinforced rebar and a few layers beyond to try and keep the damage contained to the arena for the regular, and frequently bloody, bouts that happen within its confines.

This is not the place to find pop music, dancers, or fancy flaming cocktails. The liquor served ranging from 'cheap and possibly lethal' to 'expensive and almost definitely so' by staff for whom 'customer service' is a foreign concept.
Rose Kolodny     On the upside? Molly has been spending comparatively more time in Genosha over the last week or so, on the downside? That's because the older model cyborg sucks at relaxing and has been... to put it mildly, possessed of entirely too much free time since she up and quit Stark-Fujikawa to limit the Bat's potential targets. When she hasn't been in Genosha, she's been in Madripoor. Low Town, working on rehabbing a place that was feral probably a good twenty years ago when it last actively operated as a business.

Right now, she's in the bar, dragging the last of the detrius from the booths that needed replacing into a rough cart to be hauled down to the bar. It's only vaguely not-really open, some people, mostly those helping out, have taken advantage of the available booze, but 'official opening's' haven't happened. And, truthfully, are unlikely to ever happen.

A door's been set up. A gateway between one of the doors in the bar and a spot in one of the ruins sections of Genosha. Locked with a verbal passcode Lucy's been provided with, if only to make coming and going easier.
Lucy     Lucy is here. Precisely when she arrived would be difficult to determine visually but the girl enters with quiet steps an turns to slowly survey her surroundings. She nods and then takes a deepbreath. In that pleated skirt and white blouse she looksm ore like ap rep school student on an outing than someone who belongs in a plae like this. One pities the person who tries to take advantage of that appearance.
The girl quietly approaches the booth where Molly is standing, taking long, careful strides as she walks. they don't really make up for her lack of height but they come fairly close. She studies Molly intently before whisper, "Molly?" Yes, Lucy spoke out loud for some reason. She hesitates for about a second. "Have you ever seen an angel?"
Rose Kolodny Molly stirs at her name, rag abandoned on her current project as she turns towards Lucy to offer a hug,"No sweetheart. Not that I'm aware of at least. I'm guessing they're real though, given that demons apparently are... why? Have you seen one?" she asks. The amount of shit's given by the cyborg as to whether her 'daughter' fits in with the decor are less than zero. Lucy will always be welcome in the place, and woe to the one who decides to ruffle so much as a single white thread on her blouse.
Lucy The hug is returned easily and then Lucy nods once, burying her head against Molly's chest for a moment. She takes a deep breath and lays close for a few seconds. "I think I may," she continues in her usual whisper. "I'm not entirely certain. But it seems liek it." The girl gives a boneless shrug. Given all they've both seen it's more a curiosity than anything, perhaps.
Rose Kolodny "Well... was it a... good angel? Do you think?" Molly asks, it's not her forte, by a long shot. But still she turns a little to point Lucy towards the already mostly cleaned up bar itself,"Or do you feel... threatened by it? What was it like?" she's curious, certainly. Gods. Demons. Why not angels? And certainly, at least in Molly's mind, if such a thing were to appear, it would appear to Lucy more likely than herself,"I don't have much to drink here.." that's not blisteringly alcoholic,"But would you like... some water? Bottled and filtered... of course." who knows what it's Madripoor's water, after all.
Lucy "I can handle alcohol," Lucy assures Molly rather gently. Molly might recall how she initially had trouble with getting drunk after the nanites moved in. Lucy's fault? It might bear discussion. The girl takes a deep breath and then draws it out for two, perhaps three beats. "A good angel," she decides. "They saw me working on one of my sand castles-" Glass castles, really, "- and came to say that they love art and would like to see more. It was unusual but this person seemed nice enough. I do not know if she was an angel but I- wonder." Lucy straightens up a bit and scans the bar over briefly. "Water is also good."
Rose Kolodny "If you say so." Molly agree's with a vague kind of smile,"What kind would you like then?" she asks as she crosses behind the bar. There's a tilt of her head in curiousity,"Did they fly in? What did they look like? Could they be another mutant?" she asks, from the way she hovers content to collect whichever variety of 'poison' Lucy would prefer to add to the shotglass and vodka she collects for herself,"I'm glad that you have been enjoying making your castles. If you are interested we should perhaps look at starting you in classes at Metropolis, maybe? If we can... keep them away from you long enough, at least. Give you the opportunity to become an artist... if you wish."
Lucy "...I'd like hat," Lucy responds quietly, nodding. She stares at the bottles of alcohol for a moment and eventually selects one. It's hard to tell if she did so based on the contents or the look of the bottle but at least se's indicated something. Lucy draws a deep breath now and then holds it for a beat. Two. Afterward she continues on the previous subject." They didn't fly, just... Walked. But there was something strange. this person had their own collection of art. Thinks Archaeologists would kill to find, and in perfect condition,. SOme of it must have been six thousand years old." Lucy muses on this for a moment. "I don't know. Perhps I will find out."
Rose Kolodny There's a slight nod of Molly's head,"I'll work it out." she assures quietly, even as she reaches for the bottle indicated. The pour might be a little light, just to be on the safe side, but she does present it to the younger cyborg before pouring herself a vodka,"But definitely an angel and not a god?" she asks quietly,"Because I've... known a few old one's, but none of them have claimed to be angels. Two gods of war and a... not entirely sure what he is. Really. Not that I've seen him lately." there's a slight shrug of her shoulders,"Portaller?"
Lucy "Hmm. I will have to ask her," Lucy resolves as she takes her drink. She nsiffs it briefly, blinks, and then takes a sip. The girl's eyes water slightly but she doesn't toss the drink away. Instead she shifts her weight sligthly from left to right. "I should visit more frequently." She taks another sip. "I know you've been doing a lot, but tell me about a couple of the more interesting things?
Rose Kolodny There's a dip of Molly's head,"Not one I know, then, they have all been male." there's a vague kind of smile as she collects her own drink and tips it back with a grimace,"Easier, now." she manages hoarsely,"With the doors Ysabelle set up here, better connected. I don't have to impose upon Blink to come and go when I need to. Once we get this place fully operational, should bring in a tidy sum and I'll be able to look at university for you. Maybe get my eyes done so that I'm a little less... noticeable. Few other things here and there."

Another glass is poured,"Well. You already know about the Batman and what happened there. Stark hasn't called me so I guess the resignation was accepted at least." there's a slight shrug of her shoulders,"Bogatyr taught me how to make a recon drone. You can probably sense it on the roof, or I can have it come down inside. Makes a good early warning system, in the least... but I think I'll see about making a few more, just to be on the safe side. It is looking for a surgeon, so that we can replace the controller with an implant. And maybe eventually overhaul the rest of my systems too. Between it and Hightown... should be able to rework most of it, at least. Oh... and I met a... technoorganic cyborg? Who apparently hunts potential threats from the future."
Lucy "That's interesting. Technoorganic?" Lucy asks, tilting her head slightly. "From the future. Even I find this to be a surprising combination but I suppose it makees sense. Are they also a mutant?" Lucy blinks once and Molly might take a moment to realize the girl is joking - at least to some degree. he sips her drink quietly, tilting her head as she does so. Silence follows the statement. "I'm not a surgeon. I can repair body parts but installing new hardware would be more difficult. I mgiht be able to figure it out but better to find a real doctor. I can - help with acquisition?" Lucy titls herhead agian at this. "And optimization. Calibration. How soon do you plan to upgrade?" The girl shifts a little bit closer as she asks.
Rose Kolodny     "Yeh. I asked who made his augs. He shut down my non-essentials without laying a hand on me." she gestures towards her lenses,"Eye. Arm. Fast, too, I saw him, but he still managed to bxo me in. He could... sense... that I am not from this time, according to him... I'm not even from the neighborhood, so to speak. But... techno-organic. A virus, he said. I'm not infected, though. So." there's a slight shrug of her shoulders, smiling faintly.

"I know you're not sweetheart. And I know that's why it wants assistance. Cut out the wrong bit of me and I guess I'll be drooling on myself for however long it takes for someone to mercy-kill me. The hardware portion of it, though, it's taking care of. As to when... don't know. Don't have clinics here like they do in Chiba. There's been these... ninja.. that have been causing some problems that I've sort of volunteered to help out with? But having dodged the Bat, and this place set up... should mostly be safe enough to take some recovery time."
Lucy     "If someone cuts the wrong bit they need to wait for me. I'll fix it. You need to tell them that." Lucy looks up from her glass now, blue eyes narrowing on Molly as she speaks. "You can drool on whatever you like until I arrive." The girl takes a deep breath and shifts her weight fromleft to right now. "I should be done as your next of kin," she adds after a moment. "In case..." she pauses for a moment. "Anyway." Lucy brethes a soft sigh now. "Ninja, Batninja, Robins. It's all very involved..."
Rose Kolodny     "Ha. True. I suppose I'm still not used to the idea that... terminal doesn't necessarily mean /terminal/ anymore." Molly offers with a tired smile as she takes another sip of her vodka,"That... requires I actually have a legal identity, sweetheart. I still don't officially exist. But I'm hoping I can either find the right guy to bribe here, or talk Magneto into giving me citizenship in Genosha. On one hand it makes me more visible, on the other hand means that you and Clarice can have this place and anything else I own when I finally die. But yes... Hand ninja. Again. I encountered them in Chinatown the first time. Then in Mutant town when I took a break from clearing out that safehouse. Then I'm down on the docks, here, and the same guy... Patch? Short, heals fast. Claws in his arms... anyways, he got jumped on the docks. Still haven't gotten some of the blood stains out of this place, but... whatever. I figure I'd best see it through to the end or I'll wind up with ninja problems. Batman... well, he's not going to find us. Clarice pulled me out of New York, and I shut down the Sally identity, so he's got nothing to trace." she hopes.
