Talia al Ghul It is night in Gotham, the normal folk have retreated to their homes, at least what pass for normal folk in this city, and a more unsavory sort frequent the streets. China Basin, being one of the worse neighborhoods in the city has this especially true.

Coming from the direction of the China Basin Docks is Talia al Ghul, making her way from the dockside in towards one of the commercial zones that has shifted from it's daytime tourist trade to cater more towards the gotham nightlife.
Damian Wayne      After the close encounter with Doctor Light, Damian had found that Meta Solutions were looking for any evidence of the Lazarus Pits in Damian's own physiology. it was time that he found out some answers. Robin had to find Talia.

In the sky, a winged creature can be seen, making sweeps of the area, a boy on its shoulders. SKREEE Rings out as the creature flies above.
Talia al Ghul Every aware of her surroundings, the Skree does not go unnoticed by Talia as she makes her way through the streets of China Basin. She eventually will make her way down into one of the narrow alleys, and up towards the rooftops, using fire escapes and a bit of acrobatic derring do to ascend before finding a spot that provides a decent amount of cover from view, from other buildings, while providing a descent view of the sky, and enough space for a landing, as well.
Damian Wayne      As Damian spots Talia on the roof, Goliath comes down, flapping his mighty wings to make a gentle landing. The tan skinned black haired boy removes his mask, showing his green eyes. "Mother." He says, getting off Goliath's shoulders and stepping over to her.

"I have questions, and concerns, relating to the League." His tone is serious, and yet years of living with the League keeps it a touch soft. This was familiar to him in a way that the last months with his father had not been.
Talia al Ghul Talia al Ghul's hands come to rest upon her hips as Gloiath, and Damian make there way down to the rooftops, watching his approach to her with a cool gaze and she nods her head, "Damian, how wonderful to see you. Is your father taking good care of you?" she asks, considering the lad's question for a few moments, "And you will appreciate that there is not much I can say, given your father's stance on the family business, but ask your questions, and I shall answer what I can."
Damian Wayne      "He is, I grew four inches this summer." Damian offers gently. "I finally got the growth spurt." A hand in the air brushes aside the issue of the family business. He was here on matters of family.

"I want to know, what effect the Lazarus Pits have had on me. Some people thought they could experiment on me for some of those answers, and it begs to answer, for me." He's asking as her son at this point, not as Robin. This was her flesh and blood, and he's hoping there was enough consideration of that fact that she could give up some information. He looks to Talia's eyes, his own shaking with emotion.
Talia al Ghul "None, I presume, Damian. You've never been exposed to a Lazarus pit before, at least that I am aware of, and I like to think that is something I would have known of." Talia says at that, a soft laugh escaping from her at that, "But the effects of the Lazarus Pit are largely benign." She says, "They return one who has died to life. There is a period of mental trauma after that.. it is a traumatic thing, returning from death, but it is not a lasting thing, Damian."
Damian Wayne      Damian puts his mask into a pocket on his golden belt, lowering his hood. "I had not been in a pit. I remember you teaching me about them as a child. But someone had taken me hostage, claiming that every time Grandfather entered in the pit, it changed him. And that these changes had transferred from him to you and to me." It would certainly explain his proclivity to violence and the dark. But he had no idea of anything it could be.

Damian could only give a sigh, not knowing if he was the child that Talia had wanted, or some sort of monster bred from the Lazarus.
Talia al Ghul "I see." Talia says at that, her arms shifting across her chest now as she listens, nodding her head slightly, "It is possible, I suppose, Damian, I do not feel any different from when your grandfather placed me into one of the pits." She says, "And your grandfather seems no different now, then when I was your age to me, but he is very old. If there is anything that this processes passes down, I do not know it, but perhaps your Grandfather might."

"So, tell me about this person who took you hostage, and was interrogating you about your grandfather, and the Lazarus Pits." Talia says, "People should not have that knowledge so easily, and if he is investigating our family, it needs to be looked into."
Damian Wayne      "That was part of why I wanted to tell you. I was..." Damian gestures to his uniform, bespoke to him and obviously Robin. "And yet they knew about me. Not even...Jason knew about me, or I him." He mentions, giving his mother a little bit of a sideways glance.

The family eyes look over the city, half seeing the city burn, half seeing it as Batman's vision for it, clean and bustling. "I don't know much more than there was a ninja, Ravager, fueled by raw power, and lacked much training. My opposite, in a way. I was trained by the best, but he overpowered me, he was...augmented." The boy clenches his fist hard. "The bastard got me simply because he was augmented, not by skill. It was disgusting, a dishonor." Ravager was definitely a foe that Damian didn't feel as bad thinking was dead.
Talia al Ghul "I've heard of a Ravager." Talia says, considering the information with a nod of her head as she moves to lean back against a piece of air conditioning equipment mounted on the rooftop. "And you can defeat metahumans, Damian, but you have to use your head, and not your brawn." She says, tapping at her temple lightly, "Your father can teach you, I am certain, "Take away their advantage, and they are nothing. Then you strike." She crosses her arms over her chest again, smiling faintly, "Send my regards to Jason, when you see him next."
Damian Wayne      "He...was lacking. Relied too much on some...injection that amped him up. It proved to be his downfall." Damian offers, looking to Talia. "Meta Solutions, most likely a cover of a dummy corporation of a dummy corporation. But that was what I had extracted from them, before the information proved to be just what I wanted to hear." Damian reaches out, patting Goliath on the shoulder, he'd been watching the whole time, but was not offering anything else. He was here for Damian. "I didn't know how you were going to react to me, in all this." A moment of reaching out it seems. "I" Beat. "am pleased you're doing okay."
Talia al Ghul "I'll follow a few leads of my own and see where they take me. It sounds like this Ravager was more of a puppet, then a mastermind, so perhaps with a little luck we'll stop these abductions, and experiment attempts." Talia says with a soft hmmn, "And I am glad to see you are doing well, Damian, even if you are wearing that rediculous outfit." She adds, "But, I have important things that I need to see to. I trust you can find me again, should you need to speak to me."
