Kaelyn The Enchanted Grounds, Coffee shop, Occult and New Age store is one interesting place. The front quarter of this amazingly deep shop is dominated by a checkout counter, and well a coffee shop and reading lounge too? There is a full service coffee shop opposite the checkout counter, this more of a kyosk style rather than just a coffee bar set against the wall, as a big chunk of the counter swings out into the floor. The wall behind the counter is dominated with shelf after shelf of cofee tea, a soda fountain. There's even an ice cream freezer. Lets not forget the back side of the counter has a few sandwitch grills and a couple fat friers. Seem this place is also a bit of a cafe. There's also a baked goods display, and some refrigerated cases that have cheese and nut mixtures, cold sandwitches, fruit trays. And to the left of that? A quartet cauldron looking pots that probably have the soups of the day.

There are plenty of small tables, a couple larger round tables, and couch areas kind of scattered throughout the shop as a whole, and row after row of shelves.. Some of these along the walls many form isles, the whole place is layed out like some kind of fun labrynth of gizmos, goodies, magical supplies, and many many books. Some are new age, some are sci-fi and fantasy related books. The gigantic turntable shelf in the back has reprints of rare antique books. Half of that turtable shelf sits in the wall of the building, evidently they load the thing from the back. There are also plenty of touchscreen tablets near displays showing some of the more expensive books, as well as a quartet of computers, and 2 more tablets that list the antique books the store currently has in stock. Evidently they don't leave those really pricy books and items out front where anyone can handle them. Two sometimes three helper scan be seen moving about the place. You have Wendy, a blond girl choosing to wear a kind of witches getup behind the cofee counter.. Tanya who likes to tend the register and help customers find things. She's dressed like some kind of sorceress, and Tina, Tanya's Twin who well, she's dressed the same way and acts like a go between from Tanya to Wendy.

All in all the store is a unique blend of different idealogies that someone has found a way to fit together into a nice large-ish botique and coffee cafe. There is another thing in the area that might grab folks attention though, in the far back there's a large ornate iron and heavy wood door with the words "Employees only" written in fine script across the door its self. The other neat feature of the building are the front windows, these being made of stained glass instead of clear glass panes... The designes of the stained glass resemble occult symbols, as do the bars in front of the stained glass.

Kae is inside, the woman now in the isle with the crystals and stones as she is setting out crystal balls. She yawns as she stretches her back... While Tina walks by on the other side of the shelf... "Tired boss?" she asks and Kae laughs "Yup..." Tina then takes the crystal balls from Kae who was putting them out and motions to a lounge chair "Sit, you work too hard. We're here to do this..." Kae blinks "But.... " then sighs and shrugs to flop over in her chair where she ends up getting her favorite macha late.
Victoria Victoria breezes into the shop with careful steps, her blue eyes wide as she surveys the items surrounding her. The girl is colour in motion, with caramel skin, dirty blonde hair, expressive blue eyes, a pink shirt, black jeans and whtie sneakers. She's all frenetic energy and smiles, a wide-eyed girl of distinctly under average height and slightly above average weight. She gravitates right for the ook counters and makes a Science Fiction selection of some variety before her feet take her toward Kaelyn. A pause and then the girl flashes the proprietor a perfect white smile and shifting past to take a look around. "Wow, this place kind of has *everything*..."
Kaelyn "Well a lot... spent a while putting it together all 4 of us did." Kae says with a slight grin.. "So there anything in particular you are looking for? Cookies, beignets, chocolates, coffee, tea, books of many shapes and sizes?" Kae grins a bit.. "Clockwork? Incense?" She asks and then smirks a bit, eyebrows raising as she takes a pull on her Macha... She glances to Wendy "oookay 7 scoops is too much, 5 or is fine." She says and winks just a bit.
Victoria "Clockwork?" There's a pause and then Victoria blinks a little bit. "That could be fun... I mean! I came in looking for a pastry and a couple of book. And now I don't know if I want cookies or chocolates and I'm not entirely sure what a beignet is but it sounds like it's French..." Tori squints briefly and then shrugs her slender shoulders once, shiting toward a nearby shelf. "UI might be looking for a little bit of everything. Still taking it all in, I guess. Maybe minus the incense. Hmm..." The girl is squitning now, surveying book titles.
Kaelyn Kae ummms, "it's a nice fried bread usually in a square... Tastes kind of like a doughnut, only better and usually is covered in powdered sugar... It's 3 for 2 bucks...." She says cheerfully nope the beignets are not expensive... "Least for the basic ones, drizzle on them costs a dollar extra, and that can be dark or milk chocolate, caramel, or even a few different fruits can be put with them, too..." she says and grins a bit... "Our Beignets are really good, They're made fresh daily..."
Victoria "That sounds aamazing," Victoria replies immediately, noddign her hed as shedoes. The motion is framed by the wild dancing of her her thick golden curls and then the young black girl is approaching the counter of baked goods with careufl strides. "One second,' she chirps cheerfully at Kae asshe proceeds. Tori's full frame leans against the counter for a moment an she draws deep breath. The girl isn't overweight but she does look like she's carrying just a few extra pounds. Probably not a sprinter, long, muscular legs or not. "Okay, so... Three beignets with a chocolate drizzle...? Right. Ooh. thanks!" It isn't long before she returns with her treat in tow. "Okay! Books'll have to wait then... Don't want to get them all sticky. "So.." the girl bobs briefly. "How long has your shop been here? I, um. haven't been in town long..."
Kaelyn Kae umms "About a month..." she says and grins just a bit... "So we're new here too." Kae grins cheerfully and takes another pull on her macha, and has some iced tea brought to Victora too. "My treat on the tea..." She says with a smile.
Victoria "Oh. Thank you!" Another beaming smile follows that and then Tori nods her head a couple of times, tapping her left toe against the floor. The tea is accepted then tucked undher arm so that she can retrieve one of the beignets. "This smells amazing," she begins, returning the smile befor going in for a bit. "Oh my God." A laugh follows. "I need to resist the urge to go back and buy twenty of these. Mmm. Do you like the chocolate ones?"
Kaelyn Kae umms "I like em all my self... I'm lucky that I'm blessed with a metabolism that lets me eat quite a few without showing much of an issue... However I'm sure if I keep up like I've been I'm gonna have problems." she says with a slight smile.... "Anyhow... What kind of books do you like?
Victoria "My metabolism is pretty good too." Tori nods a couple of times at the question and then takes another bite of her beignet. Only afterward does she continue to speak with, "Just about anything with a good plot, really. I like to read stories with a lot of nuance and intrigue, you know? Thrillers and Space Operas and that kind of stuff. Um... "She pauses for a moment. 'WHat do you like best?"
Kaelyn Kae ummms... "I read a lot of well Occult and stuff on magic and whatnot." she says and rubs the back of her neck.. "Occasionally read a little fantasy... Anyway we do have a fantasy, sci-fi and mystery section, along with books on the Occult, and New age stuffs... You name it, even reprints of ancient texts from about 1200 Ad and forward, or earlier if you want to go with Egyptian, and eastern stuff."
Victoria "Occult stuff on magic, hm?" Tori is grinning at this and then nods her head a couple of times. She takes a deep breath and hokllds it for a seocnd. Now the girl is going for her tea. She sips on it for a moment before continuing to speak. "What sort of occult stuff do you usually get into reading? I always used to think that Mesopotamia wasp retty neat. Gilgamesh and all of that. They had some occult stuff around, I think. Most ofi t was lost, though..." She tilts her head then and gives a faint shrug.
Kaelyn Ummms. "Magical theory, Magical spells, earth magic, all that stuffs." She says cheerfully, and laughs "You'd be amaized just how much is still left..." she says and taps her chin... "Lemme show ya..." She wanders into the back of the building and spins around a large rotating shelf back there, before she tugs a few books free... She then walks back up front and sets them down... "These are cheaper texts but this is some stuff on Mesopotamian magics..."
