Blackout In the wrong place at the wrong time. Blackout is one of those villains who generally hire themselves out to do contract work. His involves theft due to his very specific skillset of stealth with breaking and entering. However, he doesn't really break and enter. He just enters. But tonight, he's entered the wrong place and has done something really bad.

Montreal, Quebec. 01:30 hours. Magical alarms have resonated throughout the eldritch airwaves that indicate something has transpired which involves a demonic presence. Something was disturbed, and due to that disturbance, a portal was opened and it let out something from the depths of Hell itself. That something is a 10' tall demon with tendrils, fangs, wings, and claws all on a humanoid form of red leatherly and scaly skin that takes on a hideous appearance with glowing yellow eyes.

It's a museum of antiquities. The artifact was nothing more than the Stone of Rithmoor. It was a cursed object. But the second it was touched by the darkforce glove of Blackout, was the moment that he was thrown accross the room and slammed into the wall. He was then faced with the presence of the demon (named: Iglighoclchinar). The demon caught him off guard. And has been smacking him around the museum for a few minutes. All the while, magic waves of alarm reached out in all directions and touched certain persons who may have been paying attention.

Blackout is found on his back, fully armored (worse for the ware) and the demon's foot is upon his chest.
Witchfire Responding to B and E's isn't Witchfire's usual charge-their are others better suited to that. However, as the alarm rang out to magic users in the area, the repressed demon tapped in. Walking into the museum cautiously, it takes her a short amount of time to hone in on the signal.
A lick of flame proceeds her. The petite and curvy sorceress wielding a wand as she curls a ribbon of fire around the demon to drive his weight back. Her smile cruel. "I don't know if we've met before, but you won't like me." She informs Iglighoclchinar.
Blackout The demon is thrust back. Foot removed from Blackout's chest who can suddenly breathe again - he gasps for air and coughs while rolling to his side. He looks up toward Witchfire. His mask is completely black, no facial features but it's clear that he looks her way. He clutches his chest a moment longer.

The demon is enraged. It roars while getting its footing and then turns its full attention toward Witchfire. In the roar, it breathes hellfire from deep within the recesses of its stomach. The column of fire bursts her way. If it strikes, it will have the potential of erradicating the flesh of a normal unarmored human. Hopefully she is not.
Witchfire "Oh!" Witchfire draws a breath. "Of course he breathes fire. She flicks her wand, drawing some sigils in the air that start to glow and wrap around her. As the fire licks around it she arches her back with a hiss, the heat from them near her uncomfortable.
Looking to Blackout she braces and presses in towards the demon so he can get behind her and recover. "What kind of idiot releases a demon in the middle of a museum?" She wonders loudly. Her attention on the demon, deeming him the more dangerous of the two.
Blackout All around her, especially behind, the area is charred and even incinerated thanks to the hellfire that was diverted away by her magical stuff.

Blackout puts a foot underneath himself, and starts to lunge off to the side and behind a pedistal that holds a stone statue. He calls out, "Totally wasn't my intention. I was just here to liberate the rock." He admits to the crime and the accidental, and fully unintentional release of the demon. He calls out and over, "All i did was touch it. Then wham! There's dat demon. I hope you can take it out. Cause nothin I got works."

The demon reaches to its side and crashes through the glass of a display where a spear is taken in its clawed hand. The spear is magical in nature, low level, but enough to do significant damage to magical beings. The demon draws back and is about to throw it at Witchfire...
Witchfire "Oh come on." Witchfire groans seeing the spear. "Can you get that?" She asks Blackout and backs up, clearly weary of the spear. She swishes her wand up and a magical hand appears, trying to restrain the demon's arm. "Trust me, you really don't want him throwing that at us." She murmurs and darks a quick look to Blackout. "That "rock" is insanely cursed. I think someone wants you dead, or you're a bad thief and didn't do your homework." She opines and looks to the spear. "Now, would you kindly?"
Blackout Blackout is safe behind the pedistal when the demon overpowers Witchfire's telekinetic/magical hand. The spear is thrown and hurls toward the breast of the heroine. Blackout reacts. Creating an aperature into the darkforce dimension in front of the spear's trajectory. The spear disappears into the darkness and the portal closes behind it. The spear is no longer in this dimension and that really pisses the demon off. The 10' tall creature begins to stride toward Witchfire. He's 30 feet away and will close on her in the next round. The tendrils on its back lash around. The wings stand proud and back and the deadly yellow claws look prepared to grab her.

Blackout yells, "Really? You think I do homework on curses? What is that, a Google option? I see it now, "What does the curse of the rock do?" as my search."
Witchfire "What did you think was so special about a rock?!" Witchfire challenges. She backs up, slinging her wand into a holster on her thigh and raising her hands towards the demon. A sickly yellow and red light gathers around her fingers and she sends a concussive blast towards the demon's mouth, aiming to fry his brain. It's a last result sort of attack, she'd rather not end up in the nasty demon's clutches.
Blackout "It's generally my policy that I don't ask questions. Especially when they're paying me well." answers Blackout as he moves around the dais to stay out of the line of sight of the demon while it charges Witchfire.

The creature lunges, dives down to grab at Witchfire. But at the last second, the magical blast strikes the mouth and through the head of the demon. It falls flat, dead, and at Witchfire's feet with a horrendous thud. The body of the creature begins to melt immediately into a sludge of ichor. A foul smelling substance of all the bodily fluids and even an acid within its system.
Witchfire "Oh that's foul. Can't you rot in hell?" Witchfire grumbles and turns her attention on Blackout now. "You should return the spear now and walk away." She warns. "Otherwise it's jail for you." The sorceress studying the faceless thief. The braid covering the small black horns has fallen loose from the fight and she slowly settles it back into place.
Blackout He looks through the legs of the statue over the dais and takes a moment to consider his options. His voice is a little more amicable. "Hey, that's a great idea. Here ya go." The spear will drop from just in front of and above her. Straight down, stabbing into the floor to stand where it penetrated. "Aaaaannnnd. I think I'll be going now. Great work with the demon and all that."
Witchfire Gritting her teeth, Witchfire stands tall, keeping her back from Blackout. She'd rather he take walking free as her being generous than the fact that that Hellfire scorched her back and she needs to heal before giving chase. "Well, perhaps a head start at least. It wouldn't be...heroic of I didn't at least try to hunt you down for trying to steal from a museum."
Blackout Blackout says with a pleased tone. "Hey, thanks. I'm sure we'll run into one another again. This hero/villain community is kinda small. Have a great night." And with that, he backs into a dark portal that opens behind him. It closes around him and he is gone. Leaving the mess that is the museum and the explanations that will come soon when the police arrive.
