Emma Frost The shuffling of papers across Emma's desk breaks the silence for just a brief moment before Emma turns towards her computer and moves the mouse once to bring up the screen and with a few clicks of her keyboard brings up the young woman's file. Motioning with her hand towards the chair opposite her large glass desk, Emma smiles a calculated pracitced smile.

"Gwenn Tennyson. Welcome to the Academy of Tomorrow." Emma begins.

"First thing's first, and honestly, the most important question I need you to answer is: Why do you want to attend the Academy of Tomorrow?"
Gwenn 10 It's been a quiet but rainy day. Things have been going smooth though, At least as smooth as they could go. Gwenn Tennyson, a smalltown girl from a suburb of Metropolis had an interview at the Academy of Tomorrow. It was a long walk. She didn't an umbrella, then again, she didn't need one. The whole trip she had a magic shield acting as an umbrella for her. This drew more then a few looks because seeing a girl with a pink glowing object floating over her would do that.

Finally here she is. She's rather dry and seems more then a little content. "Thank you Miss. Frost." She responds. Then the question. "I want to attend the Academy of Tomorrow because it is a good, well known, ivy league school. I think my academic records show that I am a solid fit for a school like this."
Emma Frost "That's a respectable answer." Emma says, pulling her hands from her computer and straightens out the crease of her pants before looking back to Gwenn. "You have the mental fortitude and gpa we like to see in our applicants, however, I have to ask again. Why do /you/ want to attend this school?" Emma is obviously trying to get a more personal and much more real answer.
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson looks at Emma and smiles, "Because I need a challenge. I think this place can give me one. I don't really get much of a challenge from a lot of schools. Even the advanced classes tend to be pretty easy. I just want to actually learn things that will make me think a little."
Emma Frost "That's more like it." Emma says, leaning back into her chair, crossing her legs at the knee and smiles back at Gwenn. "What in particular would you like to learn, specifically?" Emma asks, taking mental note the girl is calm, collected but she's holding back, some secret that would be easy enough for Emma to divine should she put forth the effort, but she doesn't see a need at the moment.
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson smiles, "Honestly more critical thinking. Sometimes I can be a little on the Naive side of things. Also I would like to learn more about computers and tech. I mean I'm pretty literate about them but I'd like to learn more." She moves wrong and sends a few papers down to the floor. Her eyes glow for a moment and the papers are lifted up and put back on the desk.
Emma Frost Emma doesn't seem surprised by the girl's show of telekinesis. "Now, what about that talent? Is that something you wish to grow, expand and learn about as well?" Frost asks, uncrossing and recrossing her legs with the other knee on top.
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson smiles a little and blushes, "Actually yes. Its not exactly what it seems like most of everything. I use magic. I'm self taught and even though I am far from slow and I've got a talent for it, I am not as advanced as I should be." She frowns and begins explaining. "Its not really even Magic. Its Mana Manipulation. Life Energy. I draw on the energy of life all around me and that lets me do things like moving the papers and so on."
Emma Frost Emma stands up then, brushes smooth her blazer and steps around her desk, and sitting on the edge near Gwenn, her hands resting on her lifted knee for support. "One last question miss Tennyson, do you want to be the best version of yourself you can be? I will help you in any way you can as long as you'll help get others to come to the school. I want to help the world, and word of mouth is a powerful too. At the moment, you're accepted, but I'm just curious."
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson smiles and nods, "Always! I want to be my absolute best. Of course! I will spread word about the school. Getting more people here would likely help them out as well as the school in general."
Emma Frost "Not only the school but possibly help yourself as well." Emma says, stepping forward and extending her hand. "You're accepted, you can move in to the student housing as soon as your able if you'd like, and we'll iron out some of the other details in time." The blonde woman says with a kind smile, her ice blue eyes fixed on Gwenn's pleased with the newest commer to her school. Possibly.
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson smiles and shakes Emma's hand. "Thank you very much Ms. Frost. I don't live too far away. Plus I do a lot of things when I'm not in school so I may just commute to school if it's not a problem. THen again a place at the school could be nice. I'm pretty sure I could keep doing the things I do when School isn't in session." A little smirk forms on her lips. A few glimpses of alien fights may be easy to see without digging deep.
Emma Frost "Either way, welcome to the Academy of Tomorrow." Emma says taking her hand back and walking back towards her chair on the other side of the desk.

"Be sure to stop by the registrar on your way out, they'll be able to get you set up and ready to attend class as soon as possible."
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson smiles and nods. "Thank you Miss. Frost. I can't wait to start!" With that she stands and gathers her things. She quickly moves out the door andm akes her way to the Registrar to get classes and to get her room set up. Why wouldn't she want to have a place away from her parents. Not that she doesn't love them but, they don't exactly like her extra-curiculars. Or the fact that she uses magic...
