Hermione Hermione tried to fly back to the school but ran out of charge. So, sadly, she ended up having to take the bus to Kaydin's school. She enters along the front path and knocks on the front door. A student lets her in, just assuming she belongs there. Hermione wanders about the mansion, unsupervised and looking a little shell shocked.
Emma Frost     Grace is walking through the school, still trapped in her newly discovered diamond form but she's coping well. The crystalline woman is wearing a light grey, Xavier's School t-shirt, with a pair of black yoga pants and yellow socks over her glittering feet.

She comes across some classrooms and peeks inside, her hair glittering and tinkling with the movements. "Piotr?" She calls, trying to find the large Russian man. You think it would be easy to find someone his size.
Colossus The class room was empty, save for Piotr, who currently sat beside the window, working some clay. There was a canvas separating the clay from the subject he was sculpting. But this was a most curious subject, as, sitting on one of the tables, there was a cute, little purple dragon, staring intently at Arthur Christmas, which played on a laptop computer, and he had snacks, peanuts, potato chips, and a drink nearby, some kind of Oreo milkshake with whipped cream by the look of it. Piotr had made sure that his subject was entertained, though the clay he had been working on was more fantasy-like, with Lockheed in the 'heroic pose', breaking fire upon the shield of an evil looking knight. Piotr wore a blue and yellow apron with Xavier's School on it. It was well marked from use, both clay and paint. Below that, he had blue jeans and a red flannel shirt, sleeves rolled up.
Hermione This mansion is HUGE! Hermione wonders if it was ever a house, and if so, how rich the family would have had to have been to live here. She's never seen anything so fancy, so opulent! She glides along, floating about an inch or so above the ground instead of walking as she tries to look at everything. Yeah, she's got that 'new student to Xaviers' look to her, so most other students just chuckle to themselves as they pass her. THe shell shock always gets the new kids. The fact that she's not actually a student gets overlooked, just assumed to be a fact due to her apparent age and wide eyed expression.
Emma Frost     Grace doesn't notice Hermione floating behind her as she has eyes on the large man she's been looking for since someone mentioned he might be able to help her with her issue.

"Piotr?" Emma asks, as she steps in, trying not to scare off the subject of his art with her sudden and frankly, sharp voice. It's hard to control with vocal chords similar to glass in texture.

"I was told you might be able to help me." The Diamond woman says, taking a step in and knowing it could be a lost cause, but not willing to give up hope just yet.
Jean Grey One of the downstairs offices opens and allows Jean Grey to come out. She has that ever present tablet in her hand. It seems to be graphed to her palm when she is working and not at her desk. It's a love / hate relationship with the thing but it's necessary. As she walks, her attention never leaves the screen but her mind guides her through the throng of students without a mishap or crash to be had. She walks past Hermione, seeming to take no notice.

About three seconds later, she stops and turns her head back around to look at the young woman for the first time. "Hello, can I help you?" she asks in a friendly tone, a smile on her face.
Colossus For such a large man, he did some incredibly intricate, detailed work, the way he got the scales, just right. In fact, he was using a very fine brush right now, creating the look of pores in the skin. If not for the monotone colour scheme, and the fact it wasn't moving, the 'Lockheed' he had sculpted would seem to be alive. As for the real one, well, he had a Cheetos moustache going on of orange fluff around his jaw line.

"Yes, Miss Frost?" He replied, turning his attention, without damaging his work, to Emma. He carefully set his tools down, and stood up from his stool. He wiped his hands on his apron, in case there was anything on there. "What can I do for you?" Then, seeing her in her diamond form, and knowing, from the reports he was privy to, that she was a telepath, he says, "if you need to, you can go in, see how I do it, if it will help."

His words were so kind, his body language so relaxed. But it was a facade. He didn't like people going into his head. He had witnessed propaganda and worse in his home country, seen more of it here, and it did not sit well with him. But he was an X-Man, and he was a teacher. If he could help, even if it were of discomfort for him, he would try. His mind screamed no, but his heart, it politely said yes.
Emma Frost     Emma steps in, looking over her should towards the hall to make sure none could hear her, and to verify the room was empty. She walks closer to Piotr and whispers, "I pushed Jean Grey out of my mind when this-" She motions to her clear hands and touches her cheek. "-happened. I can't use my powers. At all." She responds and remains standing crossing her arms, feeling a little weak and trying to protect herself. "I was going to ask... how. How do you do it?" She's obviously lost and scared, but is trying her best to be strong and put up a facade.
Hermione As someone actually talks to her directly, Hermione comes out of her reverie over the mansion. She looks over at Jean and bursts into a smile. "HI! Ummm, I'm Jean," she tells the other woman, offering her hand to the older woman. "I.. I'm looking for Kaydin? Or... " she starts to blush at just the thought of the name she's about to say. "James Proudstar?" It doesn't take a telepath to tell that the floating woman has a little crush on Emma Frost's assistant. "Oh! Or Grace? She might know where James is." She starts looking around again, looking through the open door of the classroom and her jaw drops. "Is that a DRAGON?!" she squeals excitedly.
Colossus Those bright blue eyes regarded Emma, reflected in the diamond form of her skin. He was pale, too pale for a man who spent so much time outdoors. But usually that was early in the morning, chopping wood, working on repairing the school, making Logan look bad, if only in the fact that it was officially Logan's job, but Piotr, in his metal form, didn't need to sleep, and there was so much he could do during the twilight hours. He chose to make use it whenever he had a reason to. To do otherwise, would be a disservice, a waste of his abilities.

"Da, I do not know if it is the same for you, as it is for me, but my ability is a muscle, just like any other part of the body. I focus on my skin, think about it, and feel it. It is the body's largest organ. Right now, I can feel the air conditioning cycling warm air from the vents, there, and there, and there." He gestured towards them. "I can feel the light shining through the windows, warming my skin. And when I want to, I can tense my skin, creating a feeling similar to when my hair stands on end." It rarely happened for Piotr. He didn't scare easily.

"And with a simple application of concentrated mental force," he immediately grew, expanding in all directions, getting taller, wider, and his skin tone changed from flesh, to organic-steel, "I become Colossus." The movement startled Lockheed, who nearly spit out some of his Oreo milkshake, and he huffed a little puff at smoke in Piotr's direction for it. Then Piotr continued, "and by relaxing my body, as if I were in a hot tub, or lounging by the pool, I can return to my normal condition." And as if by magic, the change reverted. Fortunately, he wore clothes that were able to deal with the growth and reduction. When Lockheed is referred to as a Dragon, he gives a little wave and offers a toothy grin.
Jean Grey "I believe Kaydin is in class at the moment and Mr. Proudstar is at work so not on the grounds. I could leave a message for them if you like?" Jean offers. Around them a few students move between classes, a few of which bear obvious physical mutations which would set this apart from a typical private school. She's in full on assistant headmaster mode, with her professional face in place. She dosn't even try to peek into Hermione's mind since that would be impolite. Jean is rarely impolite.

At the squeal, Jean glances through the open doorway to see what caused such a reaction. Lockheed. Should've known. "Yes, that is a real dragon." She sees Emma, in her diamond form, talking to Piotr and realizes this is a private moment. With a thought, she reaches for the door and it starts to swing shut just as Piotr transitions into his organic steel form. The door pauses at about halfway closed, so it doesn't completely block the room but hopefully will keep prying ears from hearing the conversation. She already knows how uncomfortable Emma is in this situation and she doesn't want it to be worse for her.
Emma Frost     Emma watches Piotr and more listens to his words. They make a lot of sense as she closes her eyes, and uncrosses her arms, lowering them down to her sides. Grateful he mentioned the temperatures because that's all she can actually feel any more. Sense of touch is ruined by not having normal skin any more. "Concentrated. Mental. Force." Grace repeats almost like a mantra. "Hot tub. Relax Emma, relax." She says, forcing herself to sigh.

Grace takes in a slow breath when suddenly the air is filled with someone squeals about a dragon. Nope, can't relax now. Emma opens her eyes and spots the large Russian before turning her head back to the door and crossing her arms over her stomach once again.
Hermione Nodding at the news of the people she was looking for, Hermione was about to say more. But when the Headmistress confirms that it *IS* a real dragon and it waves to her? Kaydin? James? Who are they? She drops to the ground and rushes into the room, eyes wide and ignoring everyone but Lockheed. "Oh my GOD! I mean Goodness!!" She bounces, her hands in fists at her mouth as she resists the urge to pick up the small dragon and hug him to bits. "Okay, it's official! I LOVE New York!!"
Colossus Lockheed often has that affect on women. Too bad Piotr can't say the same. The Russian was calm and relaxed, while trying to explain how he transformed to Emma, in the hopes it might have a similar effect on her. His power was very simple. He either willed himself to become Colossus, often associated with some anger, not that he ever really showed anger, even when he had every reason to, and the calmness and serenity of his daily life. Too bad Lockheed had to go and ruin the lesson.

Lockheed, for his part, seemed to love the attention. He was even striking a few poses for her. The little guy seemed to be unusually intelligent, as if he understood English, even if he couldn't reply in it. All he needed was a top hat, cane, and someone to start singing 'star spreading the news...'
Jean Grey So much for privacy. Jean quickly follows Hermione into the room, giving an apologetic look to Emma and Piotr. "I'm so sorry for the interruption. She's looking for Kaydin or Mr. Proudstar. I didn't know that Lockheed would have such a profound effect upon her." She moves next to Hermione and gives Lockheed a look as his busy showboating. "You are inrorrigible," she mutters to the purple beastie before looking again to Hermione. "This is Lockheed. I didn't catch your name. And we should go back into the hall so Piotr and Grace can continue their discussion>"
Emma Frost     Emma looks over at Hermione's back and then up to Piotr before Jean also marches into the room and Emma is left blinking a few times.

"Good luck with your art." Emma says, lowering her arms in a slight huff when no one but Piotr is looking. "I'll just go into my room and try what you recommended." Emma retorts and starts to move towards the door.

"I'll let James know." Grace reports before she slips out of the door, the yellow socks muffling the heavy thud of each foot step as she moves down the hall.
Hermione Hermione is so excited that she starts talking in rapid Spanish. Her gestures to the others in the room make it clear she is talking to them about the wonder and awesomeness that is Lockheed. Yep, this girl is perfect if one needs an ego boost. It would surprise not a single person to find out she was a cheerleader back home in Nebraska.

It's only when Jean's calm voice mentions the others in the room that Min realizes she was talking to Grace at all. "Oh! Yeah! Hi Grace!" She smiles wide, her usual shyness completely forgotten as she waves. "Look! It's a dragon!! Oh.. were you two talking?" Nice, Min. Way to clue in. "I'm sorry! I'll just go back out?" She looks excitedly to Jean. "I'm Jean," she tells the headmistress. That's going to make things awkward.
Colossus Lockheed looks up to Jean when she states that he's incorrigible, looking every bit the naughty boy who has been caught doing something he shouldn't, but totally convinced that a sad dragon face will be more than enough to get him out of any lasting trouble. Meanwhile, Piotr seems unconcerned at the intrusion for himself, but more so on Emma's behalf. He gave an apologetic look to her.

With a look towards Jean and Hermione, Piotr explains further to Emma, "remember what makes you feel as I explained, to be at ease, content, comfortable," knowing her, as little as he does, he would assume it would involve a massage, manicure, pedicure, or something similar to that, perhaps even a shopping trip, or a dip in the pool. "If your ability works as mine does, it will work. You just need to relax."
Jean Grey Part of Jean wants to call Emma back, so that she won't be feeling run out of the room by the events that have transpired. The other part realizes Emma likely wants to go utilize the advice given by Pitr. Jean can only hope that the recommendations work. She's not sure how to keep Emma functioning if it doesn't. The idea of being cut off completely from her own powers is frightening, not even with the addition of becoming an obvious mutant in a world that knows her as a human business woman. She can't show too much sympathy though. Emma is a proud woman and she would hate it.

She lets the woman go.
Her attention goes to Lockheed who she gives a mock glare. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Jean. I'm Jean Grey. You can call me Miss Grey to simplify things for those around us hearing Jean too many times." She motions to the large metallic man in the room with this. "This is Piotr Rasputin. He's one of our teachers here. I think you can guess the subject." When Hermione isn't looking, Jean slips a hand over to pet the little purple dragon them offers him one of those Cheetos laying nearby.
Hermione Hermione's english is tinted with a Spanish accent for the first few sentences after her tirade in her mother's tongue. She bites her lower lip, hoping that she didn't upset Grace, considering that the diamond girl is her only contact with the tall Native man that she's crushing on. She might have just made a huge mistake in regards to having that crush going anywhere in the future.

"Hello, Ms. Grey. I just wanted to tell Kaydin thank you for helping me try to figure out my power and introducing me to you folks. But, actually, Mr. Stark has offered to mentor me in my flying, so.. yeah." Cause Iron MAN! As opposed to a school. Known Superhero over a school of dubious reputation in the media.
Colossus Although Piotr had already returned to his human form, it was easy to forget that his human form wasn't mutated, given how tall and large he was. He has some good genes and grew up on a farm, working the land. Being a mutant had nothing to do with his muscles. Those were earned with blood, sweat, and tears.

Lockheed ate the offered Cheetos from Jean, licking the orange powder from her fingers as he did so. He was very safe to offer food to, and house trained as well. It was like having an incredibly quiet, but very mischievous, eight year old around the mansion. He listens to Hermione's account, but doesn't have much to offer to that, besides, "I am sure that Mr. Stark would make an able flight instructor."
Jean Grey "I see," Jean says with another of those smiles that lighten up her expression. She can tend to be a little too serious at times but thankfully it's not difficult to get her to smile. "I'm certain Mr. Stark will be able to teach you very well. Although, he isn't a mutant. His flight is enhanced using technology. Not bad but it may be a little different from self flight. Now, if you do change your mind you are always welcome here. We have several people who could help instruct you, from those with wings to others that utilize telekinesis." She tilts her head slightly to the side as she considers. "If you don't mind my asking, what are your abilities?"

It's then she realizes that her fingers are quite clean and everyone probably now knows she gave the dragon a Cheeto since she forgot to get her hand back. It's the dragon's fault.
Hermione How do you tell someone as serious and nice as Jean Grey that part of why she doesn't want to come to this school is *because* of the mutants? She bites her lip, her shyness coming back now that the excitement of meeting Lockheed is wearing off. "Well.... it's just.... I kind of always dreamed of being a Superhero? You know, like Superman? Or Captain America?" She leaves the rest unstated, her eyes turning downward to study her Keds. Mutants have never really been glorified as heroes, no matter how hard they try. A mutant could save the world and still have the news point out how terrible they are. Jean would know this from personal experience after teh Darkseid situation.

Looking to Piotr, Min's eyes first go wide as she takes in his sheer size and then there is a blush and she looks away with a shy smile. "THank you, Sir. Mr. Stark seems even nicer then all the things I've read about him."
Colossus If Piotr knows about the given Cheetos, he makes no reference to it. Lockheed, picks up another of those Cheetos, and in his little claw, offers it to Hermione, in oh so cute a fashion. He even nods his head up and down, as if to say, she's welcome here.

Smiling to Min, he offers his hand to her, "my name is Piotr Rasputin, it is a pleasure to meet you, and if you ever need of me, I will be here."
Jean Grey The fact she avoided the questions isn't lost on Jean. Nor is the change in body language. Her conlusions may be completely wrong but she leaps to them anyway. "Of course. We wish you the best in your endeavors and you are always welcome to visit Kaydin here if you wish." She doesn't push. She dosen't try to sway the girl. She has made her choice and she has the right to do so. Their life here isn't easy and their own identities as heroes are secret so that cannot be used to tempt the girl in a different direction. No, better to simply have the door open should she ever need them.
Hermione Lockheed is doing his best to distract the enthusiastic Superhero fangirl and it's working marvellously. She grins to the little dragon and takes the Cheetoh. She nibbles at it, sharing a grin with the adorable fellow flyer. She looks up to Piotr and nods her head, offering her own hand. For so little a woman, she's suprisingly strong. Not Colossus strong, but definitely Piotr strong. "Thank you, Sir. I've only just realized that my powers sorta have different levels. Like I have to charge them like a battery to do more then just float and lift haybales like barbies."

Jean Grey, with her grace and mellow nature, puts the other Jean completely at ease. "You people have been *really* nice. It's no wonder Kaydin wanted to bring me here. You've all been so friendly and helpful."
Colossus "I teach the art classes," Piotr explains, and gestures towards his latest efforts, showing her the clay version of Lockheed, so lifelike, as the little dragon is depicted firing a burst of flames at an evil black knight, putting the conventional story on its head. "Would you like to try?" The tail wasn't quite finished, but most of it was. It was at this point that Lockheed lifted off, flying, and landing on Hermione's shoulder.
Jean Grey At the comment about their demeanor, Jean laughs softly. "I would hope we're nice. It would be difficult to recruit students if we were all trolls here." She glances to Piotr as he offers to teach the girl some art, giving him a bright smile of thanks. A beep sounds from her tablet. She's almost forgotten the thing. Lifting it up, she examines the information on the screen and frowns slightly. "If you will excuse me for a moment? I need to take care of this."
Hermione When Piotr kindly offers Hermione, or Jean as she introduced herself, to try her hand at art, Min remembers every class she ever had in highschool. She was an average student. At best. "You know, I'm more of a cooking girl? Or sewing? And I graduated highschool already? I'm just trying to figure out what to do with myself. You know, powers, work. That sort of thing."

The little dragon lands on Hermione's shoulder and her jaw drops about as wide as her eyes grow. Her voice is barely above a whisper. "I! Have! A! DRAGON! sitting on my SHOULDER!!" she squeaks, the excitable, girl starting to practically vibrate with glee, like a small child.
Kitty Pryde Down through the ceiling, a pair of feet and legs encased in jeans become visible, then a torso in a yellow blouse and finally a brown-haired head. Kitty is on a hunt for a dragon who's been causing trouble, and one of the students mentioned that he last saw the dragon with Piotr. So as the brunette phases all the way down into the room, she doesn't think anything of the fact that there's a young woman in here that she doesn't know -- there are a LOT of students and she's only been home a couple weeks. "Piotr, have you-- Lockheed!" The tone is one of scolding, and she settles to the floor, becomes tangible, and then smiles at the new face. "Hello. Looks like you've found a new friend." She peers at her dragon and then at Piotr. "Who's been eating Cheetos -- nuclear dust all over the place."
Colossus "We never stop learning. Whether we are one, or a hundred and one, there is always something more to learn, to do, to try. Education is more than four walls, several desks, and a black board. And that which we are good at, we should pass on, to help others hone their own skill, or find what they like, or do not like. Life is about the journey, not the destination." As much as he was sprouting slogans and cliches, he genuinely seemed to believe in them, and so they were said with conviction and from the heart."

The squeaking and vibrating almost knocks Lockheed off Hermione's shoulder, but in his own way, he wanted to make her feel comfortable and at home, especially as Kitty was nowhere to be found. He dug his little claws a little into her, not trying to hurt her, but just trying to avoid being knocked off. It was so much easier to sit on someone than fly in mid air. Lockheed was lazy like that. He made a cooing sound, hoping to settle her nerves.
With Kitty's arrival, Lockheed again looks like the mischevious boy who's trying to get out of punishment by looking sad. He flies off Hermione's shoulder, licking his lips, as there was still some nuclear dust on them, and actually, he didn't have lips per say, but where his teeth met his scaly skin. Pointing to the clay, Lockheed hoped Kitty would understand what he had been doing. He was Piotr's model today.

And Piotr had managed to keep the place rather clean, despite the fact he had given Lockheed the Cheetos, an Oreo Milkshake, and set up a laptop, which currently showed the last few minutes of Arthur Christmas. Arthus had just given Gwen her present as Santa, Steve, and Grand Santa looked on. "Hello Katya," Piotr said, offering a warm smile that could thaw an icey heart.
Hermione Hermione takes a deep breath and sighs happily. All those rumors about New York were totally unfounded. Okay, there were those three guys were were going to mug her, but that lovely Wesker man stopped that. Mr. Stark was delightful and polite. And now these mutants are... maybe the media isn't being as honest and unbiased as they are supposed to be?

"Mr. Rasputin, Sir? I gotta tell you, I was *terrible* in school. Really. The only thing I excelled at was cheerleading and I'm pretty sure that was mostly because of the uniform." SHe blushes and looks away, her hands at her chest to try and hide it.

Lockheed's claws dig in but make not a single noticable difference to the girl. It's like she doesn't feel it. When the little dragon flies over to the other woman, the excitable young woman looks heartbroken. NO more dragon love for her.
Kitty Pryde Kitty eyes the remains of Lockheed's afternoon, her brown eyes softening at the sight of the dragon that Piotr was sculpting. "Piotr.... that's absolutely lovely," she compliments. As the dragon settles to her shoulder and nuzzles into her hair, she reaches up absently to scritch him much as one would a cat. "You get to figure out how to keep him from turning into psychodragon because of all that sugar, though," she chuckles.

Tilting her head curiously, Kitty asks, "Oh... you're not a student?" There's a frisson of ... not alarm. But the slender brunette's body language shifts subtly to ... wariness? Perhaps even readiness? Not that the other girl seems a threat or anything, but she did just phase through the ceiling like a ghost and settle in front of a stranger. Who's NOT a student. It makes her a little ... tense. "So what brings you to our lovely school?" she asks.
Colossus "I do not believe we have a coordinator for the cheerleading squad," Piotr comments. Do they even have a cheerleading squad? Most American schools do, but he never paid much attention. He was never big on team sports. He was too quiet and too reserved for such things.

"Thank you," he replies to Kitty, and then, offers a hand in gesture, "this is Kitty Pryde," and then to Hermione, "this is Jean." He wasn't given her last name, or her first, but had heard Miss Grey refer to her as a Jean." Moving a little towards Kitty, he whispers, hoping Lockheed won't hear, but not so quiet that Hermione won't, "it would be a pleasure."
Hermione Hermione watches as Kitty pets the dragon and sighs. She never got a chance to touch it. Well, she had several chances, she just never took them because she was too excited at Lockheed's mere existance.

Kitty's worry about her not being a student makes her laugh. She knows why. She lifts herself into the air slowly and piroettes, remaining hovering above the ground about a foot. "It's okay. I sorta started floating and lifting tractors at the beginning of this summer. I won't tell anyone about you or what you do. I'm not a tattler." Her smile is almost infectious to Kitty, the sweetness of her nature showing through. How can anyone that graduated highschool still be *this* sweet. Sheltered much?

"I met Kaydin when I was practicing actually flying. Before I figured out that I need to sorta charge like a battery to do more then this floating thing. He offered to bring me here to see if you guys could help me figure out what makes me fly and what makes me float. But now, Mr. Stark has offered to mentor me, so I came to say thank you so much for all your help, but I'm going to be an apprentice superhero."

When Piotr talks about cheerleading, the only thing other then home ec that Minnie exceeded at, the latina bursts into a smile. "My school made State in my final year. We would have made nationals too if not for the fact that Ohio ... used a cannon." Oh! Sore spot there. Apparently using a cannon is not fair in Hermione's opinion, but she's too polite to actually say that.
Jean Grey "I'm so sorry about that," Jean says as she comes from the hallway where she was for a few minutes. She is slipping her phone back into the pocket of her slacks. That tablet that is sucking the life out of her bit by bit is still in her left hand. She smiles when she sees Kitty has arrived to join the small gathering as well. "Kitty, a pleasure to see you. You've met Jean, I see." She came in just in time to hear the cheerleading squard offer which has her smiling since they do not have a sports team. Having people that can turn into organic metal or phase through the opponents tends to keep them from getting a chance to play against other schools.

"She has gotten a very generous offer from Tony Stark. He doesn't usually take in people to train so we should support her choice to go learn how to be a superhero." There is a hint of amusement in her eyes at the last but not in a mean way. More tongue in cheek since of course there are no superheroes here.
Kitty Pryde Watching Hermione's actions, Kitty eases a little. Standing in the shadow of the massive Russian, she blushes slightly when he comments to her like that. Like it's... something. She doesn't even know what. Trying not to dither on the matter, she's glad to see Jean walk in. Saved!!

"Hey, Jean," she greets the vice principal easily. "Yeah, we just met. It's good to see you again -- I haven't caught up with you since I got home." Pausing briefly at the news of where Hermione's going, she observes, "Stark, huh? I wish you luck... he seems like kind of a douche." She grins. "But the Avengers are good people. You'll be okay."
Colossus "Inappropriate use of a cannon is strictly prohibited, or it should be made so," Piotr intones, agreeing with Hermione and still trying to make her feel welcome at the school. Though he does not he's casting a shadow around Kitty, and so he moves around, behind her, so that he's on the other side, the side where Lockheed rests, and she can enjoy the sunlight, while he still makes a point of being near to her. When Kitty calls Stark a douche, he lovingly says, "language Kitty. This is a school after all." He winks at her, "even if he may well fit your description. I do not know the man, so I cannot say."
Hermione Oh, she DIDN'T! Kitty just called Iron Man, one of Min's heroes, a douche? There is a clench of jaw and a stiff smile. "Well, having met him, he was perfectly nice to me. I know that the media has sometimes painted him in ... an unfavourable light in regards to women, but having *met* him," Which you haven't, is unsaid. "... He was a perfect gentleman." The latina crosses her arms at her chest, forgetting her usual shyness about keeping her sweater loose enough to hide her form under the amorphous mass.

Piotr diffuses the situation by agreeing with her opinion on the use of cannon's in competitive cheerleading. "I know, right!!? I mean, I don't care how good your Cherry Bombs or your Triple Axle flips are. There is *no* way a team can compete with a person being blown out of a cannon!"
Jean Grey Jean has to hold her tongue. She's about to burst out laughing at the entire situation. Kitty isn't making friends and the idea of a cannon is giving Jean visions of Fastball Specials. So for now, she has a momentary fitful cough as she covers her smile, turning her head to the side to not give away her amusement.
Kitty Pryde Kitty doesn't seem to care that she's not making friends. Logan would have said worse. But she does smile about the cannon. She can't help it. "I'm really glad. Like I said, the Avengers are good people." If they weren't, you can bet Logan wouldn't be working with them sometimes. "I really do wish you all the best with them. They'll be good teachers."
Colossus Nodding along as if he understood what a Cherrry Bomb or a Triple Axel flip were, well, actually, he does understand the last reference, but he is Russian, and Russians are rather fond of the manly art of figure skating. They like any sport that you can do in winter, just; Piotr has never been too fond of any of them. Still, he did go to school and understands the basics.

"wherever you decide to continue learning, I wish you well, Jean. Someday, perhaps you can come back here, and teach us a thing or two? It would be nice if someone other than Remy taught cooking, and the cheerleading squad could use your assistance." Those were the only skills he knew her to have, so tried to play them up.
Hermione Giving one last look to Kitty that, in spite Minnie's sweet nature, has a touch of venom to it, Min takes a deep breath and lets it out, allowing her anger to flow from her with the cleansing breath. "Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. You were so nice to offer to help. And I don't want to seem ungrateful but... Well, it's the Avengers." She gets a giddy smile on her face then, starting to bounce. "Mr Stark says he's going to introduce me to Captain America!" The fangirl in Min returns, that squeal of excitement in her voice. And, if she does meet Steve, then at least she will have an angel on one shoulder to mitigate any damage that the red suited Stark might cause.
Hermione Hermione says, "Anyway, thank you all, so so much, but... I should go and let you do your school thing." SHe waves and then starts heading out, letting herself out of the building to catch the bus back to the city."
