Gwenn 10 "We've had an unidentified flying object enter Earth Airspace. Before we could get a response, Someone shot it down. Its crashed in the Bronx. I want you to get out there and go find out any information you can." SWORD agent told her, especting things to be pretty much sorted given the that the thing just crashed from space. Gwenn Tennyson however, wasn't taking chances. As soon as the young consultant got word she was out of her dorm and on her way to the Bronx.

Smoke rose in the early morning light. First Responders are enroute and some police are already starting to tape off the area. When Gwenn shows up, she shows her info to one of the officers and begins making her way to an abandoned warehouse. Talk about luck for some of the business owners.
Vanya Arriving just ahead of the first fire truck, a vagabond in torn-up pants is among the onlookers surveying the rubble. Strolling back and forth barefoot across the pavement with her hands tucked behind her head, her nostrils flare curiously at the smells coming off the empty building as she peers through a destroyed gap in the walls.

She pauses to admit a large yawn and stretch her back. "A~aaah... huh, so that's what woke me up," she murmurs. Perhaps a little too curious, she wanders past the threshold to look around inside before anyone's quite ready to stop her.
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson walks into the building. The young woman immediately begins looking over the wreckage. What a mess! Her hands begin glowing with spheres of magical mana. Carefully she begins navigating her way to the wreckage. She's looking for anything that might show who shot this vessel down. There isn't much. If it was a Laser there would be a burnt hole in the ship. Projectile is much more likely but that could have burnt up in the atmosphere.

Gwenn hears something and quickly turns to see Vanya moving through the room. "You really should be careful! This place is really..." Just then a chunk of the roof comes falling. Its big enough to hit both of them. With a quick action, A pink bubble covers both women. When the dust clears both are completely safe. "... Unstable."
Vanya Vanya bounces against Gwenn's bubble as she begins to leap backwards, her instincts moving her about as quickly as the young woman's magic. "That's a nice trick," she praises with an entertained smile while surveying the debris that almost squished her like a mosquito. "Don't worry too much about me. I'm not so light on my feet, but I get by."
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson smiles, "Yeah Its saved more then my life way too many times." She Starts moving close to the burning wreckage. Her gaze goes to a really rough area that is still on fire. Its ugly. Quietly she pulls out a purple leather bound book trimmed in yellow. She opens it and reaches toward the flame. "Incendia Absum!" Wind begins blowing sharply against the flames. They don't last long. Quickly the flames are extinguished leaving behind access to the ship and, what looks like a few crispy chunks of what looks like either a rocket or a missle of some kind.
Vanya "Neat," is all the brown-haired woman says as she watches Gwenn cast another spell. Taking her hands from behind her head, they wind up on her hips as Vanya hops up onto a piece of up-turned concrete and bends forward to peer down at the exposed vessel. "Huh... nice spy plane." Her dark eyes flit down to the remnants of a warhead. "Not nice enough..."
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson frowns, "I'd rather it be a spy plane. Its not though. Its not swamp gas or a weather balloon either." She smiles. "Gwenn Tennyson, I am checking this out for one of those fun Acronym organizations that likes to try to keep Earth safe." She frowns. "Someone's trying to start a major incident."

Quickly she begins climbing her way across the still rather warm ship wreck. "There has to be a door somewhere."
Vanya "Vanya," the older woman offers back, letting some of her native accent slip through. "There are seams over here," she points out, indicating towards a section of the ship before bouncing from her perch onto its side. "Ooh, ahh, still a bit warm," she whines, needing more than a couple moments to get comfortable. If Gwenn looks closely, she'll notice the bottom of the woman's feet yellow and crackle like leather while her toenails curl downwards into talons that bite against the ship's hull.
Gwenn 10 Gwenn Tennyson frowns noting how hot this ship is. Quickly she creates a few mana constructs to climb on. She glances at Vanya, "Nice to meet you. Also umm, nice trick." She doesn't press it. She looks at the ship a little more. Suddenly something moves. The ship opens and something begins to move inside.
Vanya Vanya grins toothily and offers a fingerwave with the hand that was helping hold her to the ship. It, also, looks distinctly avian. "You haven't seen anything yet-- woah!" Standing partway on the hatch, the feral woman has to stumble back as it opens, scratching a road map of grooves into the ship's hull. "Looks like we get to meet the pilot."
Gwenn 10 The creature explodes out of the ship with an audible growl. It looks humanoid with Greenish skin. It also looks quite strong dispite wearing a proper Space suit or at least what his species uses as a Space Suit. He glares between Vanya and Gwenn. His eyes lock on the latter. "Anodite. Why did you destroy my ship! These primitive creatures on this planet couldn't hold a candle to the Foreite's magnificent Technology. Talk or I will tear that meat suit apart." He starts moving toward her.

Great. Not only did she just get outted, but apparently her race knows who these Foreites are. "I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, I didn't shoot you down. Nor did any other extra terrestrial on this continent. I'm here to investigate what happened. Why didn't you answer the request for identification? You were in Earth Space.
Vanya Vanya cocks her head at the creature and swaggers in front of Gwenn, standing tall with her arms dangling loosely back and just a hint of a pointed canine showing as her avian features begin to morph into more bestial claws.
Gwenn 10 The Alien creature glares at Vanya. His gaze shifts to Gwenn again before he speaks. "My communicator was broken. I was on my way here to study these primates and learn more about their evolution. As for you, I don't believe you. I believe you are responsible for shooting me down!" He glares at Vanya again. "Get out of my way." He begins moving in to attack.

Gwenn quickly begins whipping mana discs at the creature. She has definitely done this before. She starts moving trying to get some high ground over the alien all the while sending more of those discs flying.
Vanya Vanya's smirk turns into a wide smile as her brow thickens and her eyes turn a predatory golden-yellow. "If you want to learn about our evolution - watch closely!" Dropping into a feral crouch, she rushes the creature and pounces at him with claws raised and a tiger's roar.
Gwenn 10 The Alien roars loudly and begins swinging away at Vanya. He is peppered with those mana discs and he is getting plenty pissed. Each strike is charged with that anger and eash strike is enough to stop an incoming truck.

As Gwenn continues throwing discs she grabs her phone and makes a call. She gives the information about the Alien and the crash. "Just gotta hold him off for a bit longer."
Vanya Staying in close and personal to the alien, Vanya ducks and parries the alien's strikes with a mix of primal strength and human cunning. Her hands and feet slash at his suit whenever she sees an opening while her transformation continues - fur sprouting in trails up her arms as flesh swells and flexes to restrain tensely active muscles.

She glances back to flash Gwenn a tiger-toothed and wild-eyed smile. "No prob-OOF!" There's a deep, meaty *Whud!* as the alien's arm connects with Vanya's midsection and the weretiger rockets backwards like a tennis ball off of a racket, tumbling before she stops holding her waist. "Okay, felt that one," she groans.
