Kitora Alua Thanksgiving at Xavier's! What a wonderful time of year. And... Kitora is not waiting the opportunity. She has a plate piled HIGH in front of her. She's not even getting odd looks - it's well-known that one of her mutations is needing to eat - a LOT. She smiles as she is joking and chatting with several of her classmates - but soon enough most students retire from the feast - Kitora is one of the few left, along with other big eaters.
Scott Summers   Thanksgiving is a special time in the USA, of course at Xavier's it is not only a time to give thanks, but to also share and give back to the community.

After volunteering at the soup kitchen along with some of the other staff and students, Scott had helped himself to plenty of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and of course, green bean casserole. The X-Man sits down with his plate, and his cup of slightly sweet tea and starts to dig in along with plenty of others around. There are many students that either cannot go home for the holiday or stay at the mansion year round. The Professor of course likes to make this school as much of a home as possible. "Happy Thanksgiving, Kitora." He offers, beginning to eat.
Kitora Alua Kitora Alua nods as she smiles at Scott, continuing to eat. "Thank you, Mr. Summers," she murmurs softly, having enjoyed several if his geometry lectures of late. She smiles softly as she is inhaling enough food for six. She finally pushes herself away from the table, sighing softly. "That was awesome..." she whispers softly, patting her flat belly.
Scott Summers   Scott gives a smile once he's finished a portion of his meal. "Oh yeah, I was smelling this all day. I'm glad I got to have some finally."

The X-Man sighs happily before he continues. "Kitora, I wanted to ask you. Are you wanting to go further with using your abilities? I mean, more than just control."
Kitora Alua Kitora Alua looks over at you. "Yes. It would be... a shame... if these uncanny abilities of mine were never to be used for anytihng... decent. I was one day hoping I could join the X-Men. I even have a codename picked out in that eventuality. Rift. You know - gravity. Portals." She smiles faintly. "I wasn't going to say anything till after I graduated high school but... sine you're mentioning it, Mr. Summers... I want to do more than just... eat and walk on ceilings."
Scott Summers   Scott peers at the girl. "What makes you feel like you are suited for that path? If I may ask." He offers, watching the girl's body language and response closely. It was an interview of sorts, and Scott was judging the girl's answers. For all intents and purposes, the X-Men were not quite known to the rest of the school.
Kitora Alua Kitora Alua ponders. "They are a team of mutants who fight for our liberation and freedoms. I want to be part of that. I am in control of my abilities. I believe I can be of use. Honestly, once I graduated here, if the X-Men don't pan out, I was gonna try maybe calling the Titans or some other group. I just feel that I can do a lot of good." She ponders, clicking her tongue. "I honestly do not know if I have the temperament or discipline for it. But I am willing to try."
Scott Summers      "Are you committed to not only fight for Mutants, but humans as well? To stop those who would kill humans in order to gain the same freedoms they fight for?" Important rule there, Scott is Big on making sure the right kind of student gets on his team.

Scott waits s moment before taking out a pen and writing down some instructions, folding it, waiting for the last response.
Kitora Alua Kitora Alua nods. "I have nothing against humans. I don't want anyone killing anyone - there are better ways to get freedom. Mutants are feared mostly due to the zealots who kill humans for our cause. If they'd stop - we can arrange something beneficial."
Scott Summers   Scott gives a nod, sliding over the piece of paper. "Meet here, Saturday, 6 PM. Maybe you'll get your chance to prove it to everyone."

The Geometry Teacher was about to take on a new member to his training team. A slight smile came to his face at that thought.
Kitora Alua Kitora Alua raises an eyebrow as she studies the paper. "A chance?" she asks softly, looking down at the paper, nodding slowly as she carefully tucks it away. "I will not disappoint you, sir," she muses softly, starting to suspect that interesting things are about to happen.
Scott Summers      Grabbing his plate and cup, Scott heads towards the doors, heading out of the dining hall. It was time to watch some football and play games with his adopted family, namely the students and other staffers at the school.
Kitora Alua Kitora Alua slowly stands up and walks out, hmmmming softly. She can't help but wonder what this might mean for herself. Is this her chance to prove herself?
