Felicia Hardy When you make a living as a thief, you can't just sell that diamond and sapphire necklace you stole last night on EBay or Etsy. And the kinds of people that will buy it off you tend to not live or congregate in the nicer parts of town. So, Felicia Hardy is dressed down for her meeting with Benny 'Fast Fingers', a fence that her father used and that she knows she can trust to give her a decent price without as much haggling. Black sunglasses, Black leather jacket over a white t-shirt, and black jeans are a marked step down from the designer clothing she usually wears in public. Still, the 'biker chic' style she's sporting fits and hugs her athletic form and curves rather well, ensuring that there's still several folks that take notice of her. The whistles and cat-calls really don't bother her, she's used to lewd comments and behavior and knows she can handle herself; this Cat walks with an aloof air of confidence as she approaches Benny's place.
Copperhead Inside Benny's place Benny is having a bad day. He's got a guest who will not leave and is making his life more complicated than it needs to be. Sitting inside Copperhead waits, eating a roasted ham and by eating he means swallowing a honey roasted ham whole while Benny tries not to watch. He uses Benny as a fence too but today he didn't come on business he came looking for someone. The best of the best at what she does and the snake isn't leaving till she shows up. Fortunately there are few places a world class thief like her can go to now that she's operating in the city again.

The snake man sits there waiting as the thick bulge in his throat slides down his body and into his stomach growing thinner and thinner as his body ripples around it most unnaturally. It's disturbing to watch and that's why he's doing it in front of Benny to make sure the man knows who is at the top of the food chain.
Felicia Hardy As she approaches the door, Felicia freezes for a moment. There's somethign wrong. The usual tag indicating it was safe to enter was missing off Benny's door; and she knew that she was expected. Instead of going through the front door, Felicia starts using her acrobatics and stealth to move up the fire escapes in the alley. Once she arrived at the floor that Benny's place was on, Felicia began to walk along the narrow ledge that ran along the apartment building.

Silently, she arrives at the window that opens up into Benny's bedroom, with the living room window a few feet further along. With the caution of her namesake, Felicia scoots a bit further until she can peek inside and see the scene developing inside. The cat burglar supresses the growl developing in her throat at the sight of someone that's like an uncle to her being threatened. She goes back to the bedroom window, silently lifting it up and slipping inside. Felicia pulls out the gloves of her costume, the ones with claws capable of shredding hardened stone or steel.

She's wondering how many ways there are to skin a snake....

With all her stealth, Felicia creeps into the living room, intending to sneak up on Copperhead and end this rather quickly.
Copperhead "Ssso, that's my plan. I want her to be on the councssil. You know how men are, they won't lissten to a woman leader but we both know the sssmartest mindss in the field of cime are women. People alwayss under esstimate them but not me. I want only the besst of the besst " the snake says from benny's living room couch. "The sssnake, the Cat, and that Volcana woman, " the snake man explains, "I hear ssshess got a good head on her sshoulderss." he says as he leans back relaxing, "It'ss time we got organized. Ssso I need you to help me find them. You know a lot of people. You can get the ball rolling." the snake says making a sales pitch of some kind to Benny as she sneaks up behind him. "What do you ssay? I'll make worth your while." he offers.
Felicia Hardy Black Cat makes her presence known by pressing her claws up against Copperhead's throat. "How about I make it worth *your* while?" she hisses in his ear. "Leave now, and I'll let you choose which one you keep. Your throat..." She gently pressed the claws a little firmer agains the armored costume. And then, Coperhead feels another set of claws pressing against a much lower set of sfot flesh. "Or your balls. You're not walking away with both."
Copperhead Only, surprise, it isn't a costume any more, his throat is nothing but armor. He waits for her to figure out that something isn't quite like it use to be as he says to the owner of the house, "Sssee, ssshe's sssmart, sshe openss from a possition of power and layss out her termss clearly. " he says not seeming afraid at all, "A woman of action and cunning. Thiss is why I think sshe would be a perfect leader." he says just casually sitting there. Benny looks from her to him then back to her. He's unharmed, Copperhead hasn't hurt him or tied him up, he's just been intimidating. "Sshe could take crime to a whole new level."
Felicia Hardy Felicia hisses her frustration and glares at Copperhead with her emerald eyes on fire. "Don't push me, here. I can make your life Hell in ways you can't even imagine." She's almost growling, and if she had an actual tail, it would be flicking in annoyance. "So, spit out your half-baked idea so I can turn you down and you can take your scaly butt back to whatever slimy hole you cralwed out from."
Copperhead Smiling a disturbingly wide smile the serpent man says, "It's sssimple. I want to sstart a criminal team. A team that is full of people who underssstand two basic conceptsss. Loyalty to each other and ssstaying low key. I want to ssstart a team of thieves, people who don't want to rule the world, people who want to live like kingsss and queensss but couldn't care less about evil plans to" and he pauses to lift his snake like hands in the air and make finger quotes "sshape humanity's future." he finishes and from his voice it seems like he thinks it's a stupid idea.

"I'm working on getting accesss to an old SssHIELD facssility that we can use ass a basse of operationss. " he explains still not having moved from his spot on the couch or made any hostile actions, "It'sss sstill a plan in progresss but I wanted to meet with you and throw the idea out there. I'm a huge fan." he says and his neck turns to the side to look at her, and turns and turns until his head is facing the opposite direction from his body. She can clearly see he's not the two-bit idiot in a costume any more. Now he's a two-bit idiot with super-powers.
Felicia Hardy Felicia thinks for a bit. She's definately calculating the offer, but what parts, it's not apparent. "And you want me to lead this little venture?" she asks, suspicion in her voice. "Becasue if I'm going to work with someone on a caper, it's only going to be with people I know and trust. I'd have to have absolute approval and say on who's in and who's out." She paces a bit, moving slowly around the couch. "Just for laughs, who else were you thinking of inviting to this?"
Copperhead The snake turns the rest of his body to match his head rotating in a way that normal people shouldn't as he stands up and walks around the couch "Ssso far, you and Volcana are the only oness I know well enough to trusst not to turn thisss into some kind of vendetta or sscrew us all over to desstroy your enemies." he says putting his hands on his hips as he stands there with his elbows out, a power stance, "Ssshe once worked for the government and knowss all about esspionage." he explains, "You're a masster thief, there is a ssorceresss named Tala I would like to recruit but I want to make sssure she isn't crazy first." he explains, "Greed iss good. Vengeful or crazy iss bad."

The snake surprisingly says, "I've been in thiss game long enough to know that killing and blowing thingss up just bringss down more heat than we need but we can all ussse backup from time to time ssso why not team up. If any one of usss gets captures, the otherss break her out." he says as an example, "You'll never have to facsse off against heroess alone. It'sss win-win."
Felicia Hardy More calculation on the part of Black Cat. Her arngry gaze softens a touch. Then, finally, she says. "Okay." Felicia relaxes her posture, corssing her arms and still keeping an eye on Copperhead. "Where's this base? And when would we all be meeting?"
Copperhead The man smiles at the cat looking into her eyes with his golden snake like eyes. Oddly he's not looked at her body even her cleavage even once. It's strange because he use to be the most annoying letch of all time but now he hardly seems to notice her.. Um.. attributes. "I'm looking into two places. One in Chinatown, Gotham and one in Metropolis. Oncsse I make ssure they are legit I'll reach out to you and invite you to come sssee them." he says, "Like I ssaid, it's all preliminary now. I jusst wanted to touch basse" he says then he looks over at the owner of the house, "Thank you for having me." he says then he looks back to the lady, "And thank you for lisstening. I'll drop off more info here when I know it'ss ssafe." he says then he's turning as if to leave. No alterior motives, no hitting on her, no harm, no foul.
Felicia Hardy "Don't try to contact me like this again," Felicia warns with a flash in her eyes. "Put an ad in the 'Missed Connections' section of the Daily Bugle Want Ads. Adress it to 'Miss Kitty'. Put the contact info in there; I'll get the message." She watches Copperhead start to leave, then gets an angry scowl. "Don't mess with me on this, Copperhead. Or you'll find out just how unlucky it is to cross a Black Cat."
Copperhead The snake pauses at the door, "Agreed." he says about the contact information then he looks at her friend and back to her eyes again, "I know you have no reasson to trusst me but I am a different persson now. I only assk that you give me a chance to prove that." he says before he lets himself out much to the relief of the owner of the house.

The last she heard about Copperhead he was in prison he was just a footnote in crime's history, a nobody. Now look at him. Things are definitely changing. Maybe for the better, maybe not. Knowing the cat's luck with friends, probably the latter.
