Michelangelo     Late morning in Lower Manhattan. The winter has well and truly started to kick in at this stage, with temperatures so cold that sleet and snow fall from the skies to make the ground icy and slippery. It combines with the grime that you'll find in New York to produce that gross looking dark 'sludge' that just rolls through the gutters.
Despite the conditions though, people are going about their day as per usual. Just a bit more rugged up. Commuters briskly make their way through the streets and cobblestone paths, getting to where they need to go without problem.
And of course, there are buskers. In the Greatest City Of the World there are perhaps the Greatest Buskers In The World. Case in point, right now. There is one large turtle humanoid, dressed in black orange sweatpants, wearing an orange bandana, with various straps secured about his arms and fingers. With an old fashioned stereo pumping out Bruno Mars' 'That's What I Like', the orange-themed turtle is dancing all of the moves with perfect choreography. He pops and locks, slides, spins and does all the moves to perfect rhythm. A small crowd has come to watch him, but most give him a glance, see that it's one of the Turtles, and then just move on.
A hat is in front of him, placed upside down for donations.

Lara Croft Lara Croft's black and silver Jeep pulls up near to where Mikey is putting on his street performance. The Jeep pulled into a spot along the side of the street and then after a moment the driver's door popped open and and Lara pulled herself out of the vehicle. She was wearing a black leather jacket and some dark grey jeans with black leather boots on her feet, the jacket was zipped up to her chest and she had a dark grey hoodie on bneath it, the hood was back though, it wasn't up ontop of her head.

She stepped out of her vehicle and took a moment to reach up to her hair with both of her hands and she grabbed hold of the mess of dark brown locks and pulled them back into a hastey ponytail that she tied off with a leather cord.

While doing this, Lara's brown eyes went to the turtle putting on the show and she just smiled at the sight of it...

Once her hair was tied back she dropped her hands to her sides and closed her Jeep's door then walked to the donations hat and dropped a few bills into it, fifteen dollars worth of fives.
Michelangelo     As the song comes to an end, Mikey receives a few claps but nothing more. Looking into the hat and noting only a few 1's, the turtle frowns in some frustration. Maybe this area wasn't his primary market? Did he need to go to Harlem after all? Scratching his head at that though, his blue eyes lock onto the form of Lara, the tomb raider depositing fifteen dollars into the hat. Michelangelo's eyes nearly pop out of his head in surprise!
"Duuuuuuuuuude, you're my hero! Do you know how many slices of pizza this will get me at Joe's?!" Pause. It's one dollar a slice. The maths isn't hard, but the turtle humanoid is still counting on all three of his fingers. It's difficult. "...FIFTEEN! That's fifteen!" Idly turning around to the jeep and perhaps noting its fanciness, he looks back to Lara.
"Wait, haven't I seen you some place before?" Hands go to his hips, head tilting like a dog trying to learn a new trick. "Yeah... you totally look familiar to me."
Lara Croft There was a movie coming out about Lara's time on Yamatai island in a couple of months and being recognized was already started to grow in occurances... Lara wasn't thrilled about the movie. She'd signed a book deal which had snuck in a screenplay deal that she hadn't really believed would ever go anywhere, and apparently she was wrong.

At Mikey's words about pizza, Lara was smiling at him and she was nodding her head softly a few times while stuffing her hands into her jacket pockets. "I'm glad that I can buy you so many slices of pizza." She told the large man who sounded rather young vocally at least. "You're quite good."

At the rest of what he said though she just shot out an exhale and glanced to her left at some other people who were now staring at her like they should know her too... Lara's eyes went back to Mikey.

She extended her right hand. "I'm Lara Croft, an archaeologist working here in the United States." She'd say to him then, her British accent made it clear she was originally from elsewhere though.
Michelangelo     "Wait till Raph hears that," Mikey smirks. "I can't wait to tell him that people think I'm good. He got this huge thing about me coming all the way to Manhattan and performing. Said I wouldn't be able to get enough cash to get the rain back. Heh! Well, I sure showed him." Rant rant.
    "..." The ranting stops.
When Lara introduces herself, his jaw hangs open in shock. Looking down at her in shock, he takes a step back. "Y...yeah! Yeah! You are! OH MAN! I'm not worthy! I am not worthy!" Instead of shaking her hand like a normal person, he drops to his knees and fans her with his arms, worshipping her. Straight from Wayne's World, no doubt about it. Kneeling back (but still on his knees), blue eyes focus up at Lara. "Yooo, I'm like, your BIGGEST FAN!" The turtle positively squeaks in fanboyism. "When me and my brothers have arguments about who the best people are, either you or Indy, I TOTALLY go you. All the time. Hey! Hey! Can I get a photo? Selfie? Wait til I show the fam!"
He's already back onto his feet, rummaging about his belt for his cell. "I've already pre-ordered tickets to your movie on opening night. Midnight screening baby. I'll be there."
Lara Croft The really big kicker for Mikey would likely be that there was a video game about it coming out around the same time! (Also something Lara wasn't terrible thrilled about..).

She didn't know who Raph was but she had to assume it was a brother or a buddy. It made her grin at the words spoken to her... but when Mikey dropped down to his knees and literally started to fan at her like she were an ancient goddess (she'd never seen Wayne's World) Lara took a couple steps back and then looked side to side at the others who were eyeing them both now.

"You're a fan... of archaeology?" Lara asked him then as she would try to reach out to tentively help him stand back up, placing her hands onto his left shoulder to encourage him to rise back up to his feet.

"I'm... shocked, Humbled even!" She laughed softly. "Truly, that is extremely kind of you. And yes, of course, you can take a picture with me." She was all nervous smiles now. "And I truly hope that you enjoy the movie." It was true, she hoped everyone who saw it liked it... even if she didn't want to see it herself.
Michelangelo     "I didn't know archaeology could be so awesome until I heard of the stuff you've done! Man, wait till I tell Donny. He's read your book at LEAST fifteen times." Finally pulling the phone out, he places himself next to Lara and turns the screen so that both of them can see themselves for the photo to be taken. Beaming a toothy grin and flashing the 'peace' sign with two of his three fingers, Michelangelo waits for Lara to get ready before taking the snap.
"Sweeeeet!" Mikey breathes, furiously uploading it Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook and probably a few other social media outlets. "Dude - sorry, I didn't even introduce myself. I'm Michelangelo, but my friends call me Mikey." Chuckling a smidgen, he finally extends that hand to shake Lara's own. His skin is soft to touch and a bit moist - just as you'd expect a turtles to be. "And before you ask, yeah, I'm a turtle. Not a mutant. Actual turtle that got changed into a half human thing. Those other guys I'm talking about are my lame-wad brothers. Raphael. Donatello. The oldest is Leonardo, but he's cool. Sometimes." Pause.
"...oh my God it's so good to meet you. I LITERALLY CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! Seriously. What are you doing in New York?! Are you on a cool quest?" Beat. "CAN I JOIN IN ON YOUR QUEST? Oh! I bet it's some super old dungeon underneath the sewers, right? I can totally help! I live in the sewers!"
Lara Croft Lara would grin at all the things that the turtleman would say to her and she'd softly nod her head up and down to it here and there. "Oh. I love those names." She'd say when he listed off him and his brother's names. "They're quite... classical." Another large smile was shown. She'd pose for the photo and try to look quite pleased and happy to be in it so it'd be the best possible pic for him to share as she could manage it.

After shaking his hand she'd put hers both into the jacket pockets on her sides. "I actually live here as of about a year ago now. I'm employed with SHIELD. I track down artifacts that they deem needed to be acquired for various reasons." That was a very vague rundown of her job description.

After a brief look around then she put her eyes back onto him. "As for now, in this very moment, I'm just out doing some holiday shopping. I have a few friends yet that I need to buy some gifts for. Not... quite as exciting as the prospect of an underground adventure here in the city, but I have heard that old New York is burried over by what stands today? So there very well could be something worth exploring there." She'd say this with the hint of a playful grin then.
Michelangelo     "Our Dad is a fan of those guys." Mikey grumps a little bit, perhaps not the biggest fan himself. "It's wicked hard to make friends when you're named after crazy old school painters. Not even being a turtle can help you out." When she explains what she's doing here, he throws up his hands. "YOU LIVE HERE TOO?! AWESOME! This is awesome! We're practically neighbours. And you work for SHIELD too? That's so sweeeeeeet! Do you know all of the Avengers? I've been meaning to meet them one day. That's pretty wild that they get you to 'track down artifacts'. I mean, seriously. How cool."
Folding arms across his chest, Mikey shrugs. "Hey Lara - you're the pro. Not me! I mean, maybe? There are some super old train subway tunnels that don't appear to connect anywhere with the surface, but I've never really thought about where they lead or what they do. I'm not really a history buff." Clearing his throat, he nods a bit. "Make sure you don't freeze in this weather when you're doing your shopping. Or fall over. I mean, you probably wouldn't fall over. HA! You're probably used to climbing glaciers or something."
"So are you pumped about your movie? The trailers look sick. SO good."
Lara Croft Lara would stand there in front of him and she'd just grin at his energetic rapid fire questioning. "Ah..." She replied initially while dropping her eyes down to the cold pavement under their feat and then putting them back up on him. "I do know most of the Avengers, yes. I just had Thor and Hawkeye at my hosue the other night for a mexican food dinner party and I'm supposed to be attending an event at Tony Stark's place sometime soon for a Holiday party." She smiled about this, because.. "They're all very nice people and a lot of fun to listen to them banter with one another."

She'd softly nod her head then and her right hand came out to stroke some of her dark brown hair out of her face and back behind her ear. "Now you're starting to peak my interest about whats beneath our feet, young Michelangelo." She told him after hearing the stories of the subway stations. Sure this sort of thing wasn't her speciality, but she knew enough to be curious all the same... she loved forgotten 'things' afterall.

"I've experienced far colder places than this too." She grinned and then nodded her head. "Yeah, I really do hope the movie is enjoyable. I already know that it is factually... very inaccurate toward what I experienced... but thats perfectly fine... what I experienced was, something no one should take entertainment from. You know?"
Michelangelo     "THOR and HAWKEYE? For MEXICAN?!" Michelangelo radiates so much jealously that waves of energy can practically seen evaporating from his skin. "And a Holiday party too at Tony Stark's place! Oh maaaaan, that is so awesome. Hey, can you tell them that if they want a seriously good time playing some video games and drinking orange crush, to hit me up in the sewers? I can have you guys over for sure, no worries. It can be a sweet pizza party."
    "I can't do much colder than this. Cold blooded means I struggle big time. That's why I've got these rad pants on." He points to his legs, "...and was dancing. Keeping warm and all that while earning a buck. Pretty smart, huh? Thought of that idea all by myself." Clearly he's proud of that... rather simple idea. >_>;
"Hey man, so long as you're happy with it then I'm cool. I dunno much about it, but isn't Hollywood popular for being the man and crushing on the little guy?" He taps his chin in thought. "Maybe one day you can run it by me yourself? Do you know where Original Ray's is? It's not far from here. They do a mean sixty-six cheese pizza."
Lara Croft Lara grinned at most of what the Turtle said to her and she then suddenly thought of something. Her hands came out of her jacket pockets and she reached for a pocket on the chest of said jacket, she pulled out a set of black/grey cloths and she offered them to Mikey. "Here. Have these." She told him. "If you put them in your pockets, you can put your hands in them and squeeze and they'll grow warm and heat your poor fingers up. They stay warm for at least fifteen minutes and all you have to do is squeeze again to reactivate them. Wonderful for fighting the chill."

"I'll... see about pushing toward inviting them to your place, but hey, I can give you my cell number and should I have them over again I'll drop you a text and let you know and you can come meet them." Not something she'd normally do for someoone, but Mikey seemed to be genuinely fun and those are the people you want at parties, right?

Her head shook then and she responded further. "And no... I've never been to Original Rays... Its good, you say?" She'd ask him, showing a soft smile.
Michelangelo     Michelangelo boggles at the gift, looking at the cloths. "Woah, that's amazing." He blinks, shifting from one foot to the other. "That's some crazy technology, Lara. Is that from SHIELD? You won't get into trouble giving me these, will you?" Regardless he gives them a go, feeling the warmth run through his strapped fingers. "Ha! These work awesome!" When the offer comes to swap digits, the ninja turtle nearly falls over is his surprise! "HELL YEAAAHHHH!" Pause. "... I mean, sure babe, sure." Trying to play it cool at the end. Huge fail. Coughing a smidgen, he offers his phone number in exchange for Lara's.
"The best. I mean, I don't actually think they have sixty-six cheeses on that pizza, but you never know, right?" Reaching down to pick up his beanie/hat, the turtle slips it onto his head. "It sucks, but I gotta jet. I'm freezing my shell off. Hey -- keep in touch, alright?" He offers his fist forward, hoping to dap Lara as he departs.
