Steel     Another day at the Hall of Justice, the Museum at the Hall of Justice even. There is John Henry Irons, checking out the the displays. The large man was at least. Slowly making the rounds, seeing what heros do. Reading about foes, getting information. But he's returned to near the holographic show part, the show was quite interesting. The first time, now the man is more curious about the technology of course. Hopefully not to many others gathered this afternoon. Because he's gotten close to the projection part and is poking it curiously with a finger. While its hard to disrupt the entire projector/projection, it does makes wavey lines appear. Similar to touching older screens and getting wobbles, this time its on the display itself. Just a curiousity.
Kiera     "You're going to get into soooo much trouble." Kiera arrives beside the curious man, watching with amusement as he examines the holographic projector. "My tour guide made it super clear that we shouldn't touch anything. Not that I care or anything. He was crazy boring. I was going to sleep just listening to him. But if they see -you- doing that..." Grinning up at Irons, she decides to join in on the fun, feeding a hand through the display to watch the light become disrupted. Today, she's decided to mix things up and go to a museum. She's wearing a denim knee-length dress and brown boots, her long black hair accented by a few micro braids. She draws away her locks from her brow to let her amber eyes get a better look at the stranger. "You know. You kind of look like a hero." Her eyes widen, "you're not actually part of the Justice League, are you?!"
Steel     For all he knows, someone has already been alerted, to his tinkering. More prodding with a finger, no tinkering at all really. "What," he ponders, standing more to his full height, "Oh yeah, um, probably shouldn't mess with that. Just so advanced, was curious what they put in there." He readily admits what he was up to even. Turning to look at the girl then, an eye to braids then eyes, then hand in the projection itself. A grin hits John's features. He lifts a big hand too, just to join in half a moment. "What, me?" One brow lifts higher than the other, as if taken aback, though the grin still show some amusement. He puts hands to hips then, maybe like the Superman sculpture. "Never. No, I'm not a part of the Justice League. Just a guy to curious for his own good I think." A pause, what she said catches him, "You're with the tour group now, or that was some other day?"
Kiera     Kiera shrugs her shoulders, "beats me. Some sort of crazy light technology. Maybe even actual magic. It's really pretty though. It looks so real." Chuckling lightly as John joins in on playing even more with the hologram, she waves a hand through the image to watch the waves ripple across her skin. Peering up suspiciously, she taps her chin and frowns in the very depths of thought. "That's exactly what a secret superhero would say..." To his question, she shakes her head, "I -was- with the tour group. Until I started nodding off. I don't care about some rando droning on and on and on, just vomiting out memorized lines. I want to learn the truth, on my own." With a sigh, she admits, "I wish I could see a real Justice League member, in person. Like Wonder Woman. Or the Martian Manhunter. Not some stupid light show."
Steel     Still that grin toying at his lips, John thinks then shakes his head, "I bet its all technology. If I could just see more of the focal lense, I might be able to." He lets that ride, hang, drop away. No need to ponder if for the moment. He leaves his hand up to see it, but doesn't play, no where near as much as Kiera does, in that light. "Yes, you've discovered my secret, but I can't tell you which one I am. Defeats the purpose after all." For superheroes, then he snickers at ditching the group, "Some of us like the boring parts you know. Knowledge is power." A pause, he taps his bald head, looking serious a moment, "There, see, something a super hero might say too. You're only as strong as your mind. But I'm with you, only so far it will take you, find the truth, its out there." He looks from her to some image of a superhero, "Just Superman for me, it would be an honor to meet the others, but if I only got one, it would have to be him. What school you with?" He comes out of that thought, bringing his eyes back to her as well.
Kiera     "Huh. I wonder where you could find the focal lens." A beat, "is it just the place where the light is coming from?" She starts outright walking through the lights in an attempt to reach the lens. Somewhat obscured by all the lights beaming down upon her, she sharply turns about and stares at John. Mouth agape and pale features brightening in delighted surprise, she murmurs in an awestruck whisper, "you're part of the Justice League?" Glancing about at the different statues arrayed across the hall, she's obviously trying to decide which could represent the bald man beside her. A notable glance at said hairless noggin. Postponing her decision for now, she rolls her eyes and replies, "knowledge is power, but it doesn't have to be earned in such a boooring way.." Then the man asks her about her school, and she shrugs her shoulders nonchalantly, "Massachusetts Academy. But I'm here on my own. Sort of. I want to do a report on the Justice League."
Steel     "Exactly," returns John about the light, "Just they use a lot more. I'm sure its close to my energy projections, but a step more." He is lost in that moment, going towards another lense, close to where she was starting to look. Like group effort now. She catches him a moment in whisper, and he looks at her, an arm to his side, and he blinks. "Girl? Really? No, I'm not a member of the Justice League." He may not talk her out of him being a hero, but he can at least deny being with the League, for not at least. "Not familiar with that one," the school, "But I'm sure it does well. I agree, doesn't have to be boring, sometimes you need to discover it yourself. You should leave your name at the desk." If they have somene helping with information that is, "I'm sure someone would be glad to help, but I agree, a tour isn't quite the same, not for a good report. Just don't get any bright ideas, like damaging the projectors to get their attention." Wrong attention, especially for a book report.
Kiera     Kiera frowns at John, "your...energy projections?" Now that the cat is out of the bag about his super powers, she grins and looks at the statues again. "Are you..." Then she turns to face the man, hearing he's not a member. Still, she peers at him suspiciously, not quite convinced. Blinking, she then proceeds to look in the general direction of this 'desk.' "I guess that's not a bad idea...but it's not easy to come back. I want to get everything I need now. Besides, the term is almost over. I don't have much time left." Suddenly, she earns a light bulb moment, and a mischievous grin appears upon her face. "Unless I did a report on a little known super hero...?" She offers him a meaningful look.
Steel     "A former weapons developer for Cyberdine?" John finishes the curiousity the girl had. He is sure she meant a superhero, but he finishes with what he was. "Something I developed. I think developing a weapon like that made me more a villain." He seems honest in that. Then she is pondering on her interview, and looking at him. He's more than twice her age he's certain, and that grin and her curiousity may be winning out somewhere. "You'd probably do better with them." He throws a thumb up towards actual Justice League members, "But I might know a little known one." He breathes in deeply, "Who isn't me. I'm just a curious guy, looking at projections, trying to figure it all out."
Kiera     Kiera appears confused to hear John's a former weapons developer, and not a super hero in street clothes. She deflates a bit at this news, amber eyes flickering to the statues once more. "But..." The cooling embers of her excitement light up to hear the compromise however, and she asks, "you personally know a super hero? That would be so amazing, if I could get an interview with them. Who is it? It's not Wonder Woman, is it? Maybe Iron Man? I mean, he -is- all about high-tech weapons, right? But you did say little known." She purses her lips in thought, only to shyly shift from one foot to the next. "Could...could I meet this super hero? Please?"
Steel     A slight grin as he listens, the renewed excitement there. A shake of his head at names. Okay, more an eye-roll at Iron Man, but he listens and responds even. Folding his hands over his chest a moment, leaning back lightly on heels, "He's called Steel, he's not high profile, not like them. You can ask him if you like." A pause, then he rubs a large hand over his bald head. "This is only a school paper right, he's not after, like, publicity. Just a school report?" He has to be sure, watching the girl shifting about and showing more interest. "I could arrange a meeting, but he's not looking for public attention that I know of, all right?" He was stern'ish, half a moment, but the grin returns.
Kiera     Kiera fervently nods her head, practically giddy with the hope for an actual super heroic interview. "I...I would love to!" Hurriedly, she tries her best to remain serious and calm her enthusiasm, "of course. Of course. Just a school paper. That's all. Oh my god, my friends are going to be so jealous!" Beaming, she shuffles out from the holographic projections, "oh, I completely understand. Like, there are some times when attention can really suck." Standing still in anticipation, she asks, "so when can I meet him? Later today? Tomorrow? Where do I get to talk with him? Wow, coming to the Hall of Justice was so worth it, even despite the tour guide and everything."
Steel     "Depends how long you're around for I guess," considers John, "I don't know how it works with your school. When you need to be back or how easy it is to come to the museum. Today if you have time. He can swing it I think." Beat, "I'd have to check with him. Just maybe, go out, and down the street." He continues to call out a place to meet. He indicates a park, a visible public park, not some crazy location. "Go there, and I'll let him know to find you there." He makes sure that's cool, starting to pull out his phone. "I'll shoot a text his way." Plain text, no emitocons even, he is swyping away with a thumb at least to send it off.
Kiera     "Well, summer is right around the corner. Still, I shouldn't be out for long. The place I'm staying at has a curfew." Kiera smiles brightly, "anyway, today would be great!" She nods carefully, doing her best to memorize the directions to the meeting spot. "Oh, I know there. I walked by it the other day..." While John works at sending a text message, she says, "I'm Kiera, by the way." She shakes her head in wonder, "I can't believe you even have his phone number..." Waiting for his leave and his name, she thanks him one last time before dashing out the museum, intent upon reaching the park in record time.
Steel     "Yeah, can't break that," curfew, different then ditching out on one of the tours here. He finishes and slips his phone away. "Good, makes it easier, he likes that park." A grin at her name, "Kiear, I'm John Henry. More like his skype I think, not his actual number. Good luck with your report Kiera. I don't think it should take him more than 10 or 15 minutes to get there." He grins, and offers a wave, so she can go, and he goes back to looking at the hologram for now, slightly watching her out of the corner of his eye. So he can leave to, after she does.
