Talia al Ghul In her profession Selina Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman, is used to being contacted through a variety of channels. Some are admirers of the cat burgular, and there are a similar number of death threats. Every now and then, however, a bonafide opportunity presents itself. Someone with significant means wants something rare and valuable. So they contact the best.

This particular call may not have been entirely unexpected, but the terms are certainly unusual. The client wants to meet the burgular in person. If the invitation receives a response, the reply will include a date, time, and an address. A Manhattan penthouse at 10 pm.
Selina Kyle     The response was sent, and yes the curiosity of this cat is enough to get her to actually come out to the Manhattan penthouse. It's a heck of a trip from her Gotham high rise all the way to Manhattan, but the cat makes the trip, and at about fifteen minutes after ten, a blonde haired, green eyed woman presses the door buzzer to alert those on the inside, that the awaited visitor is outside.

Outside however a shadow passes over a window, and a figure presses against the shadows of the exterior walls.
Talia al Ghul     Talia al Ghul loves Manhattan, she really does. In spite of her father's endless prattle of mankind's decadance, there's something beautiful about the city skyline at night. The suite is rented, of course, and the furniture is leased. All managed through multiple holding companies in several countries to ultimately lead to a very dead end.

Talia is reclining on an elegant divan. Dressed in a kimono-like wrap of green silk trimmed with gold filligree, the woman's features are Middle Eastern and her long, curly locks spill free. Before her, a low table is set for a visitor.

She isn't alone in the penthouse. A handful of large, unpleasant-looking men in silk suits are scattered strategically about the suite. One of them checks the security monitor before buzzing in the visitor.
Selina Kyle     Selina holds onto the side of the building, checking her audio connection and microphone with a few quick words sent into the ear piece of her stand in. "Test test, one two. Angie, you're doing great, but you know your mission. Figure out what the client wants and leave." Selina says, pulling out a strong suction cup from her bag, she sticks it to the wall, and ties herself to it so she can focus on the conversation and not staying on the wall.

Inside however, Angie, the stand in, walks into the penthouse and lifts her left hand to curl her hair behind her ear. She notes the guards silk clothes and smiles brazenly at the man as she walks in. "Do I need to talk off my shoes too?" The recon agent asks playfully of the guard.
Talia al Ghul     The guard does his job, looking the girl over and giving her a quick sweep with a metal detecting wand, front and back. "Keep your shoes if you want." he replies, speaking with an unusual accent.

The dark-haired woman across the room can see the whole process from where she reclines. Talia tilts her head, and when the guard gives her a single nod she returns it. With a gesture towards the divan across the low table, she offers. "Please join me."
Selina Kyle     Angie holds her hands out wide and gives the guard a wink. "Shouldn't you take me to dinner before probing me?" The woman teases before stepping into the room and claiming a seat opposite Talia with a widening of her eyes when she finally takes in the woman. "Wow. You're gorgeous." Angie compliments from surprise as she lowers herself onto the low slung couch, trying to stay modest in her small gray pencil skirt, crossing her legs at the knees showing off her comfy leather flats. She seems well off, but not wealthy, but accustomed to wealth, like a secretary.

Outside, Selina pulls a small candy bar out of her bag and slowly begins to unwrap it. "Keep it up girl, doing great."
Talia al Ghul     The dusky-skinned beauty watches the blonde approach, her face expressionless. The woman doesn't wear cosmetics, but she looks like she doesn't need any either. Waiting until Angie lowers herself onto the couch, she declares simply. "And you are not the thief I asked to meet."

For a moment her comment just hangs there, and then she continues. "In some countries, the penalty for deceit is the removal of body parts. The greater the deceit, the more important the body part. On the other hand, the penalty for theft is the removal of a hand."

Talia regards her guest with a cool gaze, then the touch of a smile flickers on her lips. "We will not discuss punishment, but I will say that I am disappointed. Wine?"
Selina Kyle     "Wine would be lovely." Angie says as if she's not even flustered by the not so subtle hints dropped by Talia. She slowly reclines back, deeper into the couch as she reaches into her clutch and pulls out a small phablet and sets it down on the table as she looks to Talia with a different expression.

"I am not The Catwoman, no, but you can consider me her manager. The woman is a busy figure and like her namesake, she is very finiky, truely a creature of whims and yet still cautious. Hence me being here." Angie says with a smart smile as she's now in her element. Business. The phablet is her tool, and with it powering up she turns her attention back to Talia. "I'm here to work numbers and product." She smiles casually.

"Lose the 'The' It's just Catwoman, but... you do you." Selina says as she nibbles on the square of chocolate, savoring the flavor as she remains against the building.
Talia al Ghul     Talia doesn't pour the wine herself, of course. With a gesture one of the brute squad steps up to open a bottle. It's a deep, red color and she tastes it herself before two glasses are poured. While the wine is served she replies.

"Catwoman is careful. That I can respect." Talia offers, simply. "It will suffice, for introductory purposes." She takes a sip of the wine, slow and deep, before she continues. "There is an artifact that I wish to acquire. It last resided in the Gotham Museum of Art, although a good copy now rests in its place. It's a small statue known as the Kolkata Cat."
Selina Kyle     "The, Kolkata, Cat." Repeats Angie, slowly, typing it quickly onto her device as she looks over to Talia with a soft understanding nod. "It sounds like quite the treasure. Now comes the tricky part. Do you know where it is? Do you know what it's actual value is? And more importantly are you willing to add two point five times the actual price of the statue to the bill? The Catwoman isn't a cheap burglar for hire." Angie says, reaching a hand out for the cup of wine and takes a testing sniff of the drink before taking a tiny sip. "Exquisite." Angie remarks.

Outside Selina stuffs the small plastic wrapper back into her backpack and gasps softly. "Hey, you know I'm certainly work twice even that! Come on." The teasing remarks audible for Angie only.
Talia al Ghul     Talia's expression doesn't so much as twitch at the questions. "I do not, in fact, know where it is. That's part of the job. I do know the value to collectors, however." She names a figure, one with a lot of zeroes. "That is what it would appraise for at Christy's, give or take."

The woman takes another sip of the wine, savoring it. "I will pay ten times that amount for delivery of the actual article. There are at least two good copies in circulation, maybe three. Those are worthless to me. I will only pay for the original."
Selina Kyle     At the number, Angie doesn't even balk, she simply turns her tablet and sends it over towards Talia. "Like any other deal of this nature, Catwoman requests half of the payment now, and the second half upon delivery of the artifact." On the screen is a simple signature, a darkweb system of payment the woman helped make in order to get her and her clients paid. "I will inform the Catwoman about her newest deal and let her decide if she'd like to meet you face to face and I will take care of when and where to meet, but it's up to you two to actually make the meeting." Angie says with a polite smile as she takes another sip of the wine.
Talia al Ghul     Talia regards the tablet for a moment, then she nods once. "Of course." she replies. Under other circumstances there might be threats of violence in response to a reneging on the deal. But both women are professionals, and professional courtesy applies. That's part of why Catwoman asks such a high price to begin with.

Using the tip of a fingernail, the dusky woman signs using a pseudonym. And it wouldn't take much to track down only part of this particular pseudonym's substantial assets. "I would very much prefer to receive the article directly from her hands. Please convey that to your client. Safe passage to and from the meeting are guaranteed."
Selina Kyle     "I will garuntee that The Catwoman will hand deliver the product." The middle aged woman says with a smile as she reaches back over to take the phablet back and slip it back into her plain clutch purse with a business smirk before she finishes off her glass of wine. "It's much appreciated, I'm certain you'll be hearing about your statue soon enough miss." Angie says, completely professional as she stands from the small couch and brushes her skirt smooth before heading towards the doorway.
Talia al Ghul     Talia doesn't rise as her visitor does. After all, it's not her place. "I do look forward to hearing about the item's successful retrieval. Good evening to you." One of the security guards will see Angie to the door. She raises her glass for a refill, which is quickly supplied, then sips thoughtfully while the blonde departs.
