Vanya     *crunch, crunch, crunch, crunch...*

Bare feet plod down a snowy sidewalk in the early evening, forcing deep trenches in a path from the nearest bus stop to the front door of the Enchanted Grounds. Still sporting her summer wear of a tanktop and tattered pants, Vanya's sole concession to the freeze of winter is in the short white fur that's covering the werewoman from the shoulders down, and infecting the Russian's unkempt hair and brow with the same arctic color. With her mutation openly on display, the brawler's passage draws more than a few looks and whispers, but if her pointed ears catch any of them, Vanya doesn't show it.
Pausing to sniff the cold air as she nears the front door, the old Russian glances to a familiar nearby alleyway and grins wistfully before she closes the remaining steps and pulls the door handle. At this hour, the shop might be closing down.
Kaelyn Nope, the shop is -not- closing down... IF one were to look at posted business hours, it's basically a 24 hour type setup... Inside? Well there's a girl behind the main checkout counter, she's dressed much like one would expect of a typical 'witch' black outfit, wide brimmed pointy hat, the whole works. She has auburn hair and she's casually reading through a large book while sitting up next to a rather artful-looking cash register, this actually having runes on it and appearing to be made of silver? Except it also seems to have a touch-screen on its front...

Across the way is a very nicely set up small cafe/coffee bar area... There's another girl there, she also dressed as a witch. This one havin gher hat hanging at her back, this being a wide brimmed pointy-topped hat... She has blonde hair...

Then there's a tall, very curvy redhead sitting in what looks like a very comfortable chair, on the back of the chair is a tiny little cat-sized dragon, curled up on the back of the chair and apparently sleeping. On a rookery stand is a large raven, and what appears to be a rather lifelike metallic owl.... The redhead? she's currently sipping coffee while nibbling on a sourdough crust pizza.
Vanya     A bluster of wind follows Vanya inside and the werewoman pauses to shake herself off in the doorway, scattering snowflakes and bits of water from her arms and hair. Pushing orange glasses back up her nose, Vanya peers across the room as her nostrils flare instinctively to suck up the warm scent of hot coffee. She passes the witch at the register, the blonde at the bar, and lands on the redhead with the miniature onyx dragon on her chair back.
The Russian smiles and briefly brushes her feet on the mat before walking over with wet, squishing footfalls. Her thick coat of tiger's fur may be gone, but no effort has been made to hide the rune on her face; Vanya's not concealing who she is.
Kaelyn Kae glances up curiously at the Were and tilts her head.. And here's the wierd thing, all that water Vanya is dripping and whatnot? It's dissapearing, not even so much as leaving a wetspot on the floor... Kae tilts her head s she studies them and grins "Howdy." she says simply...

The little dragon? It lifts its head, its amethyst (litterally) eyes twinkling a bit as it notes the new person then it chirps. At this point, both the Raven and the Owl's eyes open and they all stare at the tiger-lass curiously in unison....
Vanya "Hello," Vanya drawls casually back, giving a small nod to Kae and her dragon both. She comes to rest a few strides from the chair - close enough to speak easily. "I was hoping I would find you here... you're someone who can help me with magic things - da?" As she asks, the witch may detect a faint magic ping on the werewoman herself - most likely the Grecian rune on her face.
Kaelyn Kae nods slowly "One ofmany... But I may be able to help." she responds and smiles slightly "Just depends on what kind of help you want.. all of us maji tend to focus on different things.." She responds as she takes a sip on her drink. Kae also has one made for Vanya and brought out as she motions to a chair which slides over...
Vanya     The werewoman looks back at the animated chair and chuckles before accepting the offered seat. Indoors and warming, the fur on her arms begins to recede, slowly exposing human skin. "Such useful magic tricks..."
"I hunt things," the Russian begins simply as she turns her attention back to Kae. "But hunting by scent won't find magical beasts so easy - like dragons," her gaze flits to the witch's familiar, "or chimera, or werewolves. Do you know anything that makes them easier to find? Or maybe you need something hunted yourself?"
Kaelyn Kae umms "Noo nothing that really makes them -easier- to hunt per say... Knowledge of the creature helps a lot with magical creatures especially." she suggests.. "Just hunting them by looking for scent won't be too good, also many dragons are sentient... And Dragons can be quite powerful, if you find the wrong one so I wouldn't go about hunting those." she suggests and grins... "Now talking to one after you find one and having a nice conversation is good... However, tere are those non-sentient dragons out there... some are friendly some not... You just have to get good at identifying which is which."
Vanya "Kurwaaaa, that means reading!" Vanya bemoans towards the ceiling. There werewoman's transformation finishes - almost - as she settles back down and looks anew at Kae. Unlike a typical werewolf, the brawler's body is no smaller or less muscular in human form, though like the typical wolf small vestiges of the beast remain as subtle accents to her features.

"And I don't kill everything I hunt. The last werewolf I found made a friendly bet with me," she contests, smiling again as the mention brings back a fond memory. "What are the non-sentient dragons like? How big do they grow?"
Kaelyn Kae shrugs "Some are half the size of Fanhuil here, some are as big as city blocks.... Much like the sentient ones... Just depends on where you go.... Heck they have a bread on Asguard I hear that's pretty crazy big,..." She adds and rubs at the back of her neck "What is it you're looking for? And yus, finding out more about magical creatures requires reading..."
Vanya Vanya hums for a moment in thought. "Anything exotic, different, natural... and surely anything my size or twice as big." The werewoman smirks as another thought occurs. "And anything tough - hard to kill."
Kaelyn Kae ummms "They're all hard to kill... I would be careful about going after them though, sometimes their sentient cousins watch after them..." She suggests... "And I definately wouldn't try to kill a sentient dragon... Firstly, less you're as powerful, at least as say, maybe Thor or one of those higher powered Avengers, I wouldn't try it at all, secondly, sentients and all, I think you can be prosecuted under law, and there just aint very many of em..." She then hmmms... "That being said, I go near the savage land to harvest some dragon-related bits, but I only deal in shed stuff, scales, horn scrapings etc... I don't believe in killing the creature if I can avoid it."
Vanya It's a good thing Vanya doesn't have her drink yet. From the stunned look on the Russian's face, she would have just choked on it.
"The Savage Land has dragons!?" she blurts in disbelief. "I thought it was only dinosaurs and cat people..."
Kaelyn Kae peers curiously and smirks "Dinosaur people too, but yes, there's dragons nearby... They're good at hiding... and lets not forget something. How easy would it be for a dragon to hide amongst dinosaurs? Would you not find it tough to tell the difference at times?" Se asks curiously... "And before you mention wings, not all dragons have wings..."
Vanya "Ah?" Vanya stops short, about to do exactly that. She folds her arms in deep thought. "Then what's different between dragons and dinosaurs except the fire breathing and scales harder than steel?"
Kaelyn Kae umms "Magical nature really. Dragons are elemental in nature... What that element is, depends on the dragon, could be air, could be earth, fire lightning, or combinations. Storms, etc... Even spirit... That elemental nature can sometimes be reflected in their attitude... The more powerful the magic in them, often the more sentient the dragon is." She says and grins a bit. "There's even forest dragons, and faerie or pixie dragons." she says and shrugs again "There's as many dragon types as there are stars in the sky it seems sometimes... Though, agian their few and far between, also the non-sentient dragons tend to breed morethan the sentient ones...
Vanya Vanya nods slowly as she listens, at least mostly following the answer she gets. The brawler turns away as her drink arrives and accepts it in both hands before sipping the hot drink with relish.
"Ah... what other magical beasts are hiding in the Savage Land?"
Kaelyn Kae shrugs "Probably a lot.." She responds and smiles "Again, I only buy some components from a sales person, a dragon I might add, near the Savage lands.. They're an Earth Dragon... They kind of look like a dinosaur but well with overlapping scales, backswept horns and nastier teeth.... Oh and a spike on the end of their tail. They move much like the two legged dinosaurs and such... Oh and they have useable hands and forearms and whatnot..." She adds... "Some 40 feet long I would estimate.. She's good for a conversation and likes American Soda pop..." She adds...

Kae then hmmms... "So whyfore you looking for magical beasts? You looking for one in particular?"
Vanya Vanya's brow sweeps back at the description and the werewoman smiles, getting a lively twinkle in her eyes. "She sounds fun to meet... Maybe I can go with you next time?"
At the question of purpose, the white-haired woman shakes her head. "I'm getting bored with the 'normal' animals on this planet. Humans, tigers, fish... they get repetitive. I'm looking for fun and different..." Here Vanya smirks. "And maybe something that won't run from me on instinct too. That is a problem lately."
Kaelyn Kae tilts her head "NOt one to try and take on... Not only is she physically imposing, she is capable of working her own magic... Dragon magic is... imposing." suggests the woman.. "Honestly, so yer hoping to find something that you can hunt.. Ya ever thought of trying to take down super villains? I imagine some of them would prove quite the hunt, and maybe give you a tough challenge. Not to mention, if you don't kill, and just capture them and turn em in, that would make it all the tougher, and what with villains escaping back out into the populace all the time...." She lets things stand and looks at Vanya curiously now.
Vanya     Vanya pffts loudly over her drink and gives her head a rough shake. "Do I look stupid enough to fight a forty foot anything? Something that great I want to share drinks with."
"And no, not unless the 'villain' will stand and fight like a man," she dismisses. "Why would I run around dodging lasers and bullets and freeze rays? Sometimes I will for money... but it has to be fun too."
Kaelyn Kae shrugs slowly "Well you said you wanted a challenge...Capturing a bad guy who doesn't want to be captured, or capturing a bounty might give you the challenge you want..." she suggests and shrugs slowly... "Specially if you go after bounties, then you get paid for it!
Vanya     "I've found easier ways to fight for money," Vanya replies. "And the challenges aren't as fun against technology." The werewoman frowns sullenly at the thought and distracts herself with another sip.
"Or maybe you know a way to grow magic animals, like lizards that breathe fire or wolves with steel skin?" she hazards.
Kaelyn Kae blinks "Well technically I could create artifice or constructs like Fanhuil there, but well, I don't make it a point to make constructs for te specific purpose of being hunted.... Anyhow, if'n it is a hunt yer looking for, te Savage lands has some pretty crazy challenges, there's also the forests of Wakanda I think... " She adds and rubs at the back of her neck... "There's stuff in Sout America as well..."
Vanya     "If you could make a steel wolf, you could do that to me too, da?" Vanya elaborates but otherwise lets the matter drop. She perks at the mention of hunting grounds. "What kind of stuff?"
Kaelyn Kae umms "I was reading about it, I don't have it comitted to memory... But you could try hunting small to medium dinosaurs, large cats, wolves, giant featered serpents, just be careful you don't find one that's sentient... They're related to dragons I might add..." she adds and rubs at the back of her neck... "But yah, QuetsoCoat'l is umm a bit out of your range there, less you ust wanna talk to em, then it's fun...
Vanya     "The Aztec dragon?" Vanya blinks, only to pause and look down at her drink. "This shouldn't surprise me..." After a moment's thought, the werewoman looks back up. "Dinosaurs then. So my next trip is the Savage Lands."
"I thought magic would be more helpful..." the predator murmurs as she takes another sip, mostly through her cup now.
Kaelyn Kae laugs "I can suggest a number of books to look through. THat will give you tons of information on such creatures, but I don't keep that information in my head... If you want to look for a challenging hunt, and not to kill as killing some of these will end up with you in a worse state then deat, I suggest Leprichauns, Higgypuffs, Pixies, Niads, and brownies... Careful of the redcaps they get nasty.... But these are all sentients or mostly so, and killing them will cause you harm, but many of these like to be hunted and chased.... But only capture mind you, and Lepricauns sometimes give a reward for capture..."
Vanya The werewoman frowns again, but this time lightly as she listens to the list. "Those sound small and weak..." Then Vanya pauses as interest lifts her brow again. "What kind of reward?"
Kaelyn Kae blinks "They grant wishes, and umm tey aren't weak, small yes, but not weak... You'd be suprised what they could do..." She adds.. "Also piss of a nyad and you'll be drowned..." She adds... "Anyhow, before you go about trying to tackle larger more powerful magical critters, I suggest you start with those, and do not kill em... You'll bring down a big chunk of magickdom on you and I don't think you wanna try that."
Vanya "What kinds of wishes?" Vanya presses, lowering her cup as the wheels in her head spin with possibilities.
Kaelyn Kae blinks curiously "Well that depends on the Leprechaun... but they're tricky.... BEst not to try for too muc or take too much." She responds and smiles just a bit before tilting her head the other way. "And word your wishes carefully."
Vanya Vanya cocks her head to the side, looking rarely pensive as she considers the risk. "Do any speak Russian? <Do they speak Russian?>" she asks, more fluidly in her native tongue than English.
Kaelyn Kae shrugs "Nope prolly not, they're Gaelic Fae... But keep in mind they're Fae... Fae are well tricky to deal with. Still though, if you hunt a challenge, they'll be a good one.."
Vanya "Hmm, then maybe," Vanya ponders as she downs the last of her drink. "A wish would be useful even if it has to be simple." The werewoman looks down at her empty cup and rolls it in her hand to collect the last drops into a little bead along the inner edge. The Russian's tongue darts out and down, stretching inhumanly long to dab up the last flecks of warm brew before snapping back into her mouth.

"Evolution on this planet needs to speed up," she mutters dourly.
Kaelyn Kae blinks at that comment "Careful whatcha wish for there. Evolution follows many paths, and is oft best when slow..." She says and grins slightly "Too muc speed invites disaster.."
Vanya "Nothing so big," Vanya shakes her head as Kae's comment snaps her from her thoughts. "But look around..." Her eyes raise back to the witch's with a hard edge and a quiet anger simmering in their yellow-tinted depths. "How many animals can you name that are stronger than a gun? Or a truck? Or a helicopter?... A handful of dinosaurs with no way to fight back? Dragons? Maybe a few sharks?"

"It's an embarrassment, and half of these new 'mutants' are just as bad..."
Kaelyn Kae tilts her head "A gun is a tool, it's no stronger than the person's will behind it. But a firearm does give a person a pretty sizeable advantage.... Humans are great tool makers... It's what humans do well... What's wrong with that?"
Vanya "Because it has nothing to do with the person behind it," Vanya disagrees. "It's cheating, and it moves too fast. How do you beat bare hands? With a knife. But gun beats a knife. Armor beats a gun. Bigger gun beats armor..." The werewoman flips her hand in the air to mime the endless progression. "Hand a baby a gun then tell me there's nothing wrong with that tool."
Kaelyn Kae shrugs "Humans have been trying to find and build bigger stronger tools. We've made killing each other an art form. What difference does it make which weapon is used?" She asks curiously "Yes, a sword or a knife or hand to hand requires more skill and learning, but the end result is the same... NOt personally something I want to do...
Vanya "Wolves and cheetahs made an artform," Vanya scoffs. "Martial artists made an artform. Guns just make trash..." Sighing at the conversation's sour turn, the werewoman shakes her head.

<Nevermind,> she finishes, not bothering to use English as she presses her hand against the table and rises back to her feet. "I should go... find some way to the Savage Land."
Kaelyn Kae tilts her head curiously and shrugs "If that's what ya wanna do...." She says and stands, waving to the door which opens, no cold air enters though... "Just be careful out there!"
Vanya "There's nothing more useful here, and the magic animal market disappeared," Vanya grouses, letting slip her other reason for visiting she she turns to leave. The werewoman's feet and arms grow their familiar coats of white as she nears the doorway and steps back out into the cold.

"Tell me next time you visit your dragon friend," she adds, pausing at the threshold. "We can share a drink."
Kaelyn Kae smiles and nods "As you wish..."She says and tilts her head before she glances around curiously. "Again, have fun, and yah,no more magical animal hunting many are protected now as they've been nighly hunted to extinction.
