Drake Winters Unsure of what time it is, being that it's the deep space, Drake is currently tucked away in the medbay, hooked up by a few tubes that pumps 31st century meds into him. He has been heavily sedated off and on due to the pain and violent speedy spasms he has been having. He has his laptop next to him on the bed, staring at the Internet now that Lyle was able to get it hooked up. Space internet is awesome. Way faster than Earth internet by a billion times. The eSports world has been busy buzzing since Drake's last stream in which came off more of a suicide note than a 'Hey, I'm doing okay' message to his fans. Dressed in clothes that look like they are definitely from the future, he taps away at the glowing red keys slowly as he sifts through pages.
Jessica Cruz Jessica Cruz decides to go visit her friend Drake who got hurt recently and was on a Legion battlecruiser. Whatever a 'Legion' is. Nonetheless, there is only a few starships in this system and it's easy to find. She approaches it, hailing and requesting to see her friend Drake. The Green Lanterns were known in the 31st Century and they let her aboard. She nods as she heads towards sickbay, curious, her ring doing passive scans, curious. She walks in with one of the doctors and smiles, looking down, in full uniform. "Hello again, Dynamite. We always seem to meet in the most interesting places. Building fires. Alien starships." She shrugs. "For a normal guy, you sure do get around."
Drake Winters The sound of Jessica's voice causes Drake to lift his eyes up from the laptop, peering over towards her. He offers her a weak smile, then closes the computer and puts it to the side. "Run with wolves, you tend to get bit." He says as he wipes a hand down along his face tiredly. "I'm friends with Mon-El and Lyle. You came out here looking for me? How is your uh ... ring thing going now? Is it working again?"
Jessica Cruz Jessica Cruz smiles. "It's fine. I'm getting the hang of it. I learned my lesson and charge it more often. The news reported that the Legion of Superheroes was caring for you so I came to visit. Apparently even where they come from, the name 'Green Lantern' means something and they let me aboard." She smiles. "So...what exactly happened?"
Drake Winters "Yeah. These guys are like .. universe saviors from the future." Drake says as he rubs the back of his neck with his hand. "Um ... they were taking me up to the cruiser to visit when they were attacked by this bad guy named Glorith. She is this magical creature who is obsessively in love with Mon El. So.. I got stuck in this prison of time by accident that was meant for him. It showed me all of these different timelines and memories of other versions of me and all the memories kinda got stuck in my head. Then when they broke me out, something happened and my body got um... trapped .. between time .. I think it's what they're saying, and now my body is falling apart. Like, the molecules are tearing me apart. I um... I'm in constant pain. Like the kinda pain that feels like you're being chopped up by axes or something. I get really sick and I'm throwing up. And I got all these memories that never happened in my head and it's sorta hard to figure out what's real and what's not. Right now I'm on space drugs and I kinda don't feel /anything/. But when it wears off, my body goes haywire and then I start .. um... teleporting..." He trails off. ".. Sorta... like ... I'm super fast...ish...I blink around.. and I can't stop it."
Jessica Cruz Jessica Cruz blinks. "Well... perhaps you need a new codename," she muses, a faint smile on her face. "I'm not really sure what I can do to help... but I'm here. I... I don't know much about magic, nor does Anillo. But I was just given this supernatural database - I can try to look it up to see if anything comes up..." She ponders. "Dynamite's body is in a state of temporal flux, J-Bird," comes that baritone voice. "That isn't good..." she muses softly. "Well... let me know if there's anything I can do..."
Drake Winters "No, it's not really good." Drake says with a soft sigh. "It's sorta what they came up with also. No one knows what to do. Well, Lyle says he may have some type of idea and he's working on it in his fancy lab or whatever." Tapping his fingers together a few times, he gives a sheepish grin. "I guess you saw the video, huh?"
Jessica Cruz Jessica Cruz shakes her head. "I don't like watching friends get hurt. I just saw the press release by a Mon-el." She paces back and forth. "I just don't know enough about this... the Corps try to avoid time-travel; it causes many problems. Perhaps consider this - magic caused this problem. Maybe the only solution is magic..."
Drake Winters "Maybe. Though no one on the ship here is a magic user or knows much about it. Supergirl wants to take me to Star Labs. I guess she has some friends down there that has similar symptoms." Drake shifts some on the bed to face her. "I kinda went live on my stream and sorta had a mental breakdown and ... uh ... I think people thought I was gonna kill myself. I was pretty in pain at the time and was rambling."
Jessica Cruz Jessica Cruz nods. "I've had those days..." she murmurs softly. "When I thought I'd never be able to leave my home... that the mob would find me." She ponders. "Alright, Anillo. Scan that database from Velvet Ant. See if there's anything about this..." The ring starts humming the Jeopardy theme as it processes. "Well, the fact you had an accident made national news - why I'm here - so I'm sure they'll understand."
Drake Winters "Yeah. Sadly the Internet never forgets. My video has gone uh ... a few million hits viral now and it's being broadcasted on the sports channels. I finally got ahold of my team to let them know I'm good and I should be home soon.." Drake tilts his head slightly as he listens to the theme song. After it dings, it comes up with a simple enough soution. Chrono Stabilizer and Defuser. He lets out a soft huh in his throat. "Maybe I should tell Lyle that."
Jessica Cruz Jessica Cruz blinks. "Are you sure?" she asks her ring which makes an affirmative beep. "Well, I was told that the stuff on that database might be... experimental." She ponders. "But it does sound good..." She sighs softly.
Drake Winters "I think everything right now is experimental." Drake looks down at the tubes hooked up against his arm, sighing softly. "You should take a hit of these though. It makes everything feel pretty damn nice. Like I'm floating in jello kinda nice. If you're into that." He tips a wink to her. "So, uh .. where do you live at by the way?"
Jessica Cruz Jessica Cruz smiles faintly. "I would never take the medicatoin of a sick man. You know what's really awesome? Standing on the moon by the Apollo 11 landing site... watching the sun rise over the lunar surface. That's better than any drug." She ponders. "Would you like a way to contact me in case you need to? I can come up with something... perhaps an internet signal my ring can intercept...." She doesn't answer your question about her home locatoin.
Drake Winters "That would be really cool. I'd like that." Drake admits with a nod of his head. "Ka--Supergirl told me I'm her Jimmy Olsen." He says with a grin. "I'm hoping to slide into every superhero's DM's." He reaches over to pluck his phone up, then brings up his phone number. "You can text me also." He hears the computer give a few beeps next to him, then sighs. "I got more tests to do and they're waiting for me." He unhooks himself from the tubes, then rolls out of bed shakily before he starts heading for the doors. "Come visit me tomorrow, okay?" He calls over. "And thanks.. you know .. for thinking of me." The doors swish open and he steps out with a groan. "Coming!" He calls out down the hall.
