Clint Barton Dinner time at the Triskelion. Clint had been in the office after returning from Tony Stark's Vegas weekend, he wasn't hungover exactly, but he was moving a bit more slowly than he would normally. The rest of the building hadn't slowed down at all though, the mission that began with Skye's escape from the Triskelion had come to conclusion first with the net being taken down for a couple of weeks, then finally with the dramatic raid that brough Skye's undercover mission to a close and busted the hacker group the Rising Tide she'd been infiltrating. Which meant they had to process the hackers and mercenaries they captured in the raid, which was a long paperwork filled process.

That process is what had Clint in the office today, he'd led the raid so the bulk of the paperwork had been his to fill out. So, as he moves to sit down at one of the tables with a tray of dinner, he has a tablet in his other hand going over his reports.
Phil Coulson Phil had taken his vacation, the one that had so rudely been interrupted before. Protip: Beaurocracy can work for you. He is on his first day back when he makes his way to the break room. Upon seeing Clint, he gives a nod, "Good work, already got word on the success, glad that Sky's missino went off well, as well." He grins and gets a tray for himself and takes a seat across from Clint.
Clint Barton Clint looks up from the tablet at the sound of Phil's voice. He grins to see his old Supervisory Officer, and quickly sets aside the tablet (any excuse was a good one when it came to skipping paperwork) and makes room for Phil's tray on his table. "Thanks," he says, with an up nod to the senior agent. "And me too. It was eating at me, I won't lie, especially after Fury told me that her defection was all a fake out. Hated lying to people, y'know?" he says with a self-aware little smile that said he knew that was an odd dislike for someone in their line of work. "Well, our people. Anyhow, glad she's back."

He takes a bite of dinner, meat loaf and mashed potatoes. He chews, swallows, "And then there's the paperwork. Whose idea was it for me to be responsible for things?"
Phil Coulson Phil grins and continues eating, "Glad I did not have to suffer through most of it, Tuscany was nice." He listens and ponders, "Yeah, always good to have us all on the same side, again. Especially openly." The older agent leans back, "Firstly, everybody thinks that you should do paperwork, mostly because it's you. But in reality it's better for the one in charge of the op to do it."
Clint Barton Clint nods, looking over their dinners at Phil. "Yeah. No doubt. You got to tell me how you managed to pull vacation through the outage when it was all hands on deck," he says. "Also, you need to tell me how much I need to bribe you to do the same for me." He gestures with his fork before digging in for another mouthful. "And yeah, I know, the top down view is the best view, but doesn't mean I have to like it."

Clint looks up from his meal again, "So, the trip was good?"
Phil Coulson "Accrued vacation time, also seniority on the list." He shrugs, "Also knowing when they aren't paying too close of attention." He laughs and eats a little, "I enjoy the indpendence I got when I moved up, but yeah, the paperwork is rough. It covers your ass, though."
Clint Barton Clint grins, "So that's it, no bureaucracy-fu?" he asks with a skeptical look. "Because if not, you're missing out on me brining you to do the same for me and Skye," he teases lightly before returning to his food. "And yeah, yeah, I know," Clint says about the paperwork covering his ass. It was still paperwork.

"Also, going to be around for the next bit? Skye are thinking of doing a house warming barbeque or something like that, SHIELD and Avengers folks, we would love for you to be there man."
Phil Coulson "Oh, there is," Phil says dryly, "But if I was to give away my secrets then others would use them and make it much harder for me to do what I want." He smiles and takes another bite, "I'll be around, can't travel as I need to get ready for driving season. When is the barbeque?"
Clint Barton "See, knew there had to be secrets," Clint says with a laugh before he takes another bite of his food, chews slowly then says, the irony plain in his tone, "Unless there are no secrets and you just want me to thin there are," he does the I'm watching you sign. "I'm on to you, boss."

The hand is lowered when talk turns to the barbeque. "Not sure yet, maybe this weekend. Have to talk it over with Skye. This was her first undercover op, it's been rough on her, so it'll depend on when she feels up to it."
Phil Coulson Phil nods, "When I retire you can have them." He mentally notes it, "If they exist. Your's to find out." The older agent nods, "Just let me know when and I'll try to make it. Things might come up out of the blue, but vacation took me out of the loop a bit longer than I liked."
Clint Barton "I'll hold you to that," Clint says pointing with his fork again, smiling as Coulson carries on with the joke. A nod is given about the barbeque. "We'll let you know when we know."

"So, what's on deck for you next, then? They got you interviewing the hackers or something else?"
Phil Coulson "Sounds good, also let me know what I'll need to bring," Phil says as he finishes his meal, "But for what's next. I'll probably help with that where I can, as well as get caught up on what's been going on. Hopefully nothing outrageous has occured besides the Skye mission. Knowing our luck, trouble will find us and ruin this perfectly good paperwork time." He rises, "But I had best get back to my desk, the trouble with bureaucracy, it is a double-edged sword."
Clint Barton Clint nods, "Will do," he says of bringing stuff to the barbeque. "And knowing Fury, Skye's thing was just the mission he told us about." Actually come to think of it that net outage probably provided opportunities for SHIELD as well as the bad guys. "Anyhow, yeah, got to finish this paper work too," he says with a frown before he waves. "Catch you later, Phil."
