J'onn Felicia has been following the clues and information left behind by J'onn, who has been mysteriously absent the past month, and even the connection shared with her, Carol, and J'onn has been oddly fuzzy during that time period. This information has led her to a new facility just outside of Strausburg, Colorado. As before, this facility seems nothing special on the outside for those not keen of eye or experienced. However, similar to the last site, this one has a large fence, multiple well armed guards, and easily some of the most sophisticated surveillance equipment seen in the commercial sector.

However, this is not so much a problem for someone the likes of Black Cat. She's familiar not only with the equipment, but with the setup of the facility since it is almost identical to the last one. Now, though, it is up to her to determine how she wishes to sneak her way in, and what she may look for once she's inside.
Felicia Hardy When you cross a Black Cat's path, you have to be careful of your blind spots. Rotten bit of luck, when an enemy knows how to find Every. Single. One. Cat has studied the layout of the original facility in-depth, and figured out how to make use of security camera blind spots, to the extent that when she arrives in this new compound, she knows what to look for, where to look, and how to evade every single camera. It levels the playing field, so that all she really has to do is climb a fence. And a wall. But everyone knows that if someone wants in badly enough, even a thirty-foot wall, won't keep them out. And this one's only twenty-one.

The Black Cat doesn't even utilize her grapple hook this time. When the claws come out, they're more than enough to give her a claw-hold on the wall, and she's over like it was nothing. If J'onn is inside here, she'll have to remember where the rooms were in the other facility, and use that knowledge to take her back to the areas most likely to be holding him. Luckily for her, the cameras are fewer and farther between here. That's what the scramblers are for, and she makes good use of them, until she can slip down a darkened and slightly familiar hallway to a room with a computer in the center.

With a long and exasperated sigh, she breathes the words she had dreaded since she embarked on this little foray. "Now what?"
J'onn As she travels down the hallway, she'll notice a familiar set of doors where the computer center was at before, with the same type of security system on the outside. However, what is a bit different this time though, is that the room is far larger than the last one she found. She can hear footsteps not too far away, it sounds like they heading away from her, but it sounds as if there is more activity this time around than before.

When she looks at the security mechanisms, she'll find that she has all the right equipment to break through the lock, but she notices that there is an additional set of biometrics that was not found at the last site. Luckily, as always, she was able to retrieve fingerprints of a doctor from this facility when she had him drunk and passed out in a local hotel room. Poor silly PhD, never had a chance, and when he woke up he had a nice note written for him about how he should not tell his wife he's hitting on attractive women near work.
Felicia Hardy Breaking the security mechanisms is child's play. Cat can only assume that if someone were to get this far, the security team is banking on the biometrics to alert them to intruders. With the locks and the alarm attached to them are disarmed, Cat retrieves a rubber glove from a pouch on her belt, and puts it on, carefully peeling a film away from the thumb and index fingers and revealing the 3D-printed fingerprints implanted in the glove. Carefully, she follows the order prescribed in order to gain entrance. "Thank you, Dr. Davenport. You've been a tremendous help." And with a half-grin, and listening closely to the other side for footsteps, she pushes through the doors, low to the ground, and instantly sidesteps and climbs the wall to place a small black scrambling box next to the security camera there.
J'onn As professional as ever, the Black Cat easily deals with the security mechanism and the camera in the room, and it gives her more time to search the area. The same computer. The same desk. Then, all of a sudden, her eyes fall on something ENTIRELY different from last time.

There's a room with a unique form of energy flowing around it, and within that room is four large cylinders with two attached to the floor and two attached to the ceiling. In those cylinders are large, green limbs, and those limbs are attached to an incredibly familiar face. For her, though, she can only see that green face, as the head is trapped in an unique contraption that seems to keep him in some kind of stupor.

More so, she sees a table with multiple instruments, some sharp, some hooked, some looking as if they may be lasers. None of them look to be pleasant, and by the drops of oddly colored liquid around the room it's likely easy to tell /what/ those instruments are being used for... However, for now, she seems a security setup similar to the entry to this room by the entrance to the holding cell.
Felicia Hardy Anyone within a mile of this facility is about to have a -very- bad day. What the Cat lacks in knowledge of the room and any security measures around it, she more than makes up for in rage. She begins to pick the lock on the door, but as luck would have it, the door simply falls off its hinges, taking the electrical feed to the alarm with it. She bypasses the biometrics to the entrance completely, and walks into the room, her eyes on the green figure, that listless face. Her rage intensifies, seeing the instruments strewn about, and this time, as she looks for the cameras, she finds four, one in each corner, pointed at the captive in the center of the room. Beneath the intensity of a hatred-filled gaze, they simply seem to stop functioning. She places a scrambling box in the center of the room, which sets them to each report a continuous feed of the last frame they recorded. To anyone watching them, it would appear that nothing has changed.

The Black Cat approaches the contained green being carefully and touches the contraption covering his head. <J'onn. If you can hear me in any way, I'm here. I've found you. I'm taking you home, if I have to carry you over my shoulder.> Tears of hatred at some point have given way to tears of sorrow, and at this point, even she can't tell the difference.
J'onn Hell hath no fury like an Angry Black Cat ... and this facility is discovering that in spades tonight. It's likely there will be many nights of interviews about the horrors that happened when Black Cat released her anger and Luck on the facility as well as those in it. For now, she has no concerns of being interrupted as there are multiple alarms all over with various disasters falling upon the men here that were conducting their 'investigation'.

There's nothing from J'onn, even this close, and she can hear the hum of energy coming from the restraints on his limbs as well as the device on his head. Now that she's closer, she can see that he's healing from a recent bit of 'attention', and it appears as if whatever energy they are using is slowing this healing process.

A quick scan of the devices shows that there is a similar biometric as well as security mechanism on each restraint, and with little effort she should be able to disable them enough to release him from his stretched and trapped posture. His eyes flutter open briefly, red orbs taking her in, and then she'll notice the smallest ghost of a smile before his head slumps forward again.
Felicia Hardy Quickly navigating the biometrics, Cat disables the security on the contraption, and with a little work, she's able to release his limbs, one by one, supporting him easily as he slumps forward over her, and she releases his legs.

Taking hold of one particularly nasty-looking scalpel, she slashes through a conduit carrying wires that feed the device, in hopes of destroying the source of whatever energy they are using to help contain him. The thrum of energy halts, and Cat steadies J'onn, waiting to see if the effects were all that kept him disabled.

"J'onn. Can you hear me?"
J'onn It's a good thing that Black Cat is stronger than she looks, as J'onn is freed from the restraints he collapses in her arms, and she feels the full weight of his dense form in her arms. She'll have to move him away from the floor restraints to remove his feet, and even once the head piece is gone he'll still look as if he is incredibly groggy from whatever they were doing to him.

In a hoarse whisper, J'onn says in his deep voice, "Must.. take ... notes..." his arm shakily pointing to the computer, "Can't think... straight..." His red eyes open, glazed in the way that someone with a concussion looks, "my Heart. Thank ... you..." and he slumps again.
Felicia Hardy Once all his confines are released, and Cat has J'onn in her arms, she carefully pulls him away from it all, finding a place in the computer room to help him sit and rest. "I came prepared, J'onn." She pulls a flash drive from her belt and looks to the computer in the center of the room, which is strangely still functional, despite the alarms and network failures throughout the complex. Cat tips up his chin and looks into those crimson eyes, brushing her thumb across his lips. "Rest, I can handle this part. And then, I'll take you home."

Quickly, she seats herself at the computer, finding that its security login is sporadically flashing on and off. She has no time to jack with a password, so she uses the glove once more on an external device which instantly logs her on. The desktop for this particular user is a woman in an extremely compromising position, wearing little more than a black mask. "Huh. He has a type. Who knew?" And she pushes the flash drive into the port and begins downloading the contents of the drive. As it downloads, she prepares to set the computer to format, and the second she pulls the drive from the port, she hits enter. A flashing warning comes up advising that this is permanent. "I sure as hell hope so..." She hits enter again, and returns to J'onn, replacing the flash drive into a belt pouch. "Love? It's time. I have a feeling this place is going to burn to the ground. I can carry you. I know the blind spots." If there's a functional camera left in the facility, anyway.
J'onn J'onn tries to focus his mind, the energy they used disrupting him in ways he doesn't understand, but plans on investigating it from Black Cat's drive. He blinks slowly, his gaze not focusing, but he can sense Felicia near him and then a brush across his lips. He tries to smile, but cannot focus long enough to do so. He nods as Felicia goes to take care of the data repository, and it seems as if he's starting to recover faster.

Once Felicia has returned, J'onn looks up to her as he nods his head slowly, "Yes. Let us go." is all he can say to her. He tries to carry as much of his weight as possible, but Felicia knows she will be doing a lot of the work in their escape. As they start moving they'll both easily hear the people running around the facility, trying to figure out what happened to cause multiple disasters, and still that link is fuzzy between them.. but at least Felicia can start to feel it reassert itself now. "How long?" he tries to ask, as if he's a man that's been in the desert, and hasn't had a drink of water in ages.
Felicia Hardy "Twenty-four days since I could last feel you," Cat replies matter-of-factly. This is not the moment to unleash her emotions. She has to make sure they both get out safely before she can even think of that. She supports J'onn easily as they make their way out through darkened corridors lit only by yellow flashing lights. Once outside, it appears that whatever happened to the network caused a major surge of electricity. Every security camera is smoking, and several shower down sparks. Some of those sparks have started fires that quickly lick up the walls and begin to consume the facility. But black smoke billowing from shattered skylights tell her that these little fires are probably the least of their worries.

"The cameras are off. And it looks like there's no one in the western quadrant." She guides them over to that wall, hoisting J'onn over her shoulder and quickly scaling the wall. But it's the limit of what her claws can hold, and she loses her hold several times and begins to slip before they reach the top. The only entrance she can see to the compound wall from this perspective is flooded with people, both rushing in and rushing out. Seething, she lays eyes on the entrance and looks at the faces of each person who passes through. As she turns away, there is a loud crash of the structure crumbling, apparently weakened by those who bashed through the door when it was sealed shut and disabled. "Rough bit of luck, that."
J'onn By the time they start to run into other people, J'onn has enough control over his body to change his shape so he looks as if he is an injured member of the staff. As the make their way clear of the collapsing facility he can start to get his feet under him a bit better. "I am hoping you have brought some form of transportation, my Heart." His voice sounding much stronger already, "I do not think I will be very useful any time soon." He leans his head down, placing his forehead against the top of her head, and he whispers quietly, "Thank you." and it seems as if he may need to rest for the next several days to fully recover.
Felicia Hardy Don't worry, I've got it covered, Love." As the two escape in a hole that someone has already gratuitously made in the fence, she guides J'onn, supporting him as they disappear into the woods outside. She pulls a fob from her belt and presses a button. Two small headlights flash at them from dead ahead and a four-man ATV roars to life. Loading J'onn up quickly, Cat jumps into the driver's seat and starts off on a mountain trek that will eventually lead them to a secluded cabin. But behind the cabin is a clearing beset with lights and what seems to be a runway. "I have a jet ready to take us. Let's go home."
