Owner Pose
WilyKat A day or so after the Coney Island incident, and Vorpal has actually managed to talk Wilykat into laying low in between venturing out into the neighborhood through the use of illusions. It's just safer that way. But, as curious as the Thundercat has been about everything around them, he can't forget about one of the first things he learned from Vorpal: Lion-O, and likely others, were here somewhere.

Around the middle of the day, he was pacing around the apartment, restless. Suddenly he stops and faces the other cat-person. "I need to see the others, wherever they are. Can we go? Now?" There's a look of urgency about him, stressing the importance of the matter.
Vorpal "Geez, Kat. Yes, we can go... just let me finish..." Vorpal mutters, packing the last of the canned goods in the duffel bag along with a manual opener. "Here. Catch." He tosses one bag, then another, and then he stands up to pick up the hefty utility sack. "Time would go much faster if you didn't pace a hole on the floor, you know."

The Cheshire cat smirks and goes up to Wilykat and... boops his nose. "Two to go... BEEP BEEP!"

And the floor disappears below them, dropping them onto soft grass three feet below. The Rabbit Hole rises above them, and then closes, leaving them in the forest clearing.

He totally did not do that to startle the thunderkitten. He swears.
WilyKat Wilykat catches both and slings them over his shoulders. "I'm not..oh." He's already looked down to verify no holes present, snorting once before he adds, "I guess we should leave the other stuff here and get it later?" He gestures toward the hoverboard and, of course, the actual stasis pod Vorpal managed to transport to the apartment. How's that for a conversation piece?

Eyes squint just before the rabbit hole opens up, and there's a momentary "Whoa!" before he lands safely after just a few feet of falling, shooting Vorpal quite the look. "That was mean!" he exclaims, but then he takes to looking around the clearing and sniffing a few times. He's on the lookout for anyone familiar, but it looks like it's just them for the moment. "Are you sure this is the right place?"
Vorpal "This is the place, and that wasn't mean. That was hilarious." The Cheshire cat sticks out his tongue at Wilykat and ruffles his hair, because he knows that's going to irk him. "There's a camp. It's camo'd, and the pods are covered by camo tarps. I have... an awful sense of direction when all I see is trees. Give me one second..."

He holds out his hand and focuses to create the illusion.

And there, up in the sky, the crest that Lion-O wore on his armor, appearing in Vorpal's colors, with an arrow pointing down.

He counts to thirty and then dismisses the illusion. "Okay. So they should be coming our way. Hopefully my illusion will carry the right intention and won't get us, you know, accidentally killed."

He's kidding, of course.

Is he?
Lion-O     And walking out of the trees is a silouhette, quite a familiar one to Wilykat as he approaches. "Hey Wilykat!" the familiar voice of Lion-O calls out in Thundaran and the translator he has translates to english for Vorpal. Of course, Lion-O also right forward to give Kat a hug.
WilyKat "No, I don't think it was," Wilykat disagrees with the assessment of the thing as hilarious, and while he initially ducks his head to avoid the ruffling, he decides to allow it only long enough to satisfy Vorpal. His translator is working as well.

Then he stands by to watch the way the signal is made, peering at it as he waits to see whether or not it has the desired effect. When it does and the Lord of the Thundercats makes his appearance, he forgets himself just long enough to drop the stuff he was carrying so he can rush forward. "Lion-O! You're alive!" Of course he is. That was already established, but still. Rather than just a simple hug, he leaps in more of a pounce. Lion-O may be about to realize that, yes, Wilykat has actually grown considerably since they all got into the stasis pods. No more little kitten.
Vorpal And, of course, the duffel bags go to the ground. Well, he couldn't fault the cat for being excited at seeing his fellow Thundarian. They're all a long way from home.

The Cheshire cat set down his large bag and stands there, arms crossed and smirking lightly at the incongruent sight of a grown cat trying to pounce another. Was this how they said hi on his planet? He didn't think so. He does take a moment to admire Lion-O, though, surretitiously. He sighs and shakes his head. Not in your dreams.

"I think you've been officially become a target for a flying cat, I'm afraid," he quips at Lion-O. "How are you doing with the supplies and the camp?"
Lion-O     Lion-O takes the 'pounce' in stride, actually hugging Wilykat before setting him down. "Your.....pod malfunctioned too, huh?" He says looking Wilykat over. I imagine Kit's gone through the same thing as well." He then sighs. "it looks like we're going to acclimatize ourselves to a brand new world. And I doubt the Feliner's still online. I wonder where Panthro is.....and Tygra and Cheetara for that matter. Hope they're okay." he then grins to Wilykat. "Obviously you're okay."
WilyKat Wilykat didn't knock Lion-O over? Well, the Thundercat is pretty tough and maybe he braced himself well. Wilykat's clothing isn't quite a perfect fit any more, but that's something to deal with later. "I was worried about everyone since we got split up somehow! I ended up all the way on the other side of the country! I looked it up!" Hug doled out, he stands back upright, now much closer in height to Lion-O than he ever was before.

"So you haven't seen my sister yet? But you have seen the others? Or is it just you here?" Wilykat wonders, a note of concern touching his words as his tail goes from flicking in excitement to drooping a bit, less movement following. "I mean, I made it through in one piece, but I don't know what happened with the pod." It's kind of been a case of a kitten stuck in an adult's body, and he looks back toward Vorpal. "He's the one who found me. I've been at his place."
Vorpal "The pod is currently taking up ninety percent of my apartment," Vorpal comments with a smirk "When you're ready I can have it brought over here. It really doesn't go with my drapes."

He reaches down and unzips the sack, and begins to take out a package that is rather bulky. It has little wheels on it... "I thought you might need something better than a few tents. I got this from my parents' storage." Which is several states away. "Until you decide what it is you want to do or where you want to go, this should be good for you, Tygra and Wily." The label reads 'Northwest Territory Grand Canyon', although Vorpal doesn't know if the translators also translate written language. He just realizes that it might not.

"I can go over the instructions on how to set it up with you later. But basically this tent can be separated into three rooms for privacy. It just isn't right that you should have to sleep in ratty tents or stuff like that."
Lion-O     "No, I haven't seen Kit yet. You're the only one I've seen. I've heard of Tygra, but that was about this guy with a robot dog that showed me a hologram of Tygra." Lion-O says to Kat before looking to Vorpal. "You do know our pods count as our beds too, right?" he says before looking about.

"If I'm right, that glow in the sky there is going to be something like a city. I seriously doubt the royal flagship could illuminate a skyline like that." He then sighs. 'and we're gonna have to rebuild the Feliner.....again. I just hope the Thundertank made it."
WilyKat Wilykat's taken to pacing again. No hole being worn in the floor of the apartment, but give him enough time and he might leave a walking trail in the clearing. "So it's really just us so far? But you think Tygra's somewhere? Oh, boy.." He runs a hand through his hair, looking and sounding stressed out by the news. "And without our translators, we can't even understand each other." He gestures toward Vorpal, who's produced a tent..thing. The picture looks like it, at least.

Moving back toward the other cat, he peers at the tent and says, "That looks almost as big as my old home." A frown and he realizes, "Kit and I might never see our mother again. I hope we did the right thing by leaving." A little sadness is mixed in, but he tries to push it away by saying, "We'll just have to make sure we find everyone and hopefully we can go back home someday, right?" He finishes by looking to Lion-O with a hopeful expression. "I've had enough of sleeping in that pod, though. I'm ready for something new."
Vorpal "Well, you can mine the pod for scrap to build something. Take out the parts you can use as beds and put them in the tent. Waste not, want not," Vorpal says, and stops for a moment when Kat comments about his family.

He can't fathom how far away they must have come. Probably beyond the reach of the most imaginably overpowered Rabbit Hole. "I'm sorry about your mom, Kat."

He reaches over to put an arm around Wilykat's shoulder as a gesture of solidarity and comfort. He looks to Lion-O.

"I'll help you in any way I can. I know others whom I can ask for help, too. They're some kids I run with." Well. When he meets the rest of them, anyways. "I don't know exactly how to go about your legal status, but you're refugees..."

Then it occurs to him whom he could ask for advice. If he couldn't trust Wonder Woman with the knowledge of alien refugees, whom /could/ he trust? The trick was, of course, getting her to see him.

"If at any point you don't feel safe here, you can lay low in my apartment. It'll be cramped, but nobody will suspect you're there..."

He looks at Wilykat, "Provided you don't decide to climb the tallest structure in the middle of a fair in sight of everybody within several miles, right? That would be pretty risky." He gives Wily a light smirk and a quick wink.
Lion-O     Lion-O chuckles as Vorpal explains what Kat did. 'that's....sort of Wilykat's thing. he's one of our scouts." he then starts back to his pod. "It's lucky I've got all of our translators then." he says tossing Wilykat his personal Thundercat Symbol. "I've got everyone else's too."

he then looks to Vorpal, and puts his hand in the claw shield, which makes his left hand look like a tiger's claw, and tugs out the Sword of Omens. "If think if I used this, we'd be a little exposed as it is." he then puts the sword back in the shield. "Oddly, Kat, the Eye hasn't warned us of any danger yet. I suppose I could see if I could find Tygra and Cheetara using the sight."
WilyKat "Father was swept away by a twister and Kit and I decided to look for El-Dara to help make it easier for mother to feed the younger kittens. It's supposed to be this city filled with riches. With four of us and her trying to do the farming, she was getting so thin because she made sure we ate first and by then there was almost nothing left for her," Wilykat explains to Vorpal, sharing a story the Thundercats have already heard before. "But thanks. I just miss her, especially now." He accepts the attempt to comfort with a nod.

"And thanks for trying to help. Everything's just kind of happening all at once and I feel lost." Rolling his eyes at the reminder about the ferris wheel, he picks up on what Lion-O says, pointing and nodding. "Yeah, I was scouting. That's right." The insignia is caught and he eyes it along with the Sword of Omens. "Do you think it's a good idea around here yet, until we know more about the area first?"
Vorpal Vorpal nods, listening to Wily's memory and saying nothing. What can he say, really? Sorry you'll never see your mom again, have a granola bar? He sighs, but instantly his curiosity is drawn by what Lion-O takes out.

"What a curious weapon. Its hilt looks like a sword but the blade is a dagger... what is it called?"

At Wilykat's urging, he frowns, "What does it do?"
Lion-O     "Put it on, Kat. it's your translator....as well as your link to the Eye of Thundera. I think it's also your communicator. I can't remember everything Panthro rigged up." he then chuckles. "I've still got mine, so you'll need it to understand people, at least until you learn the language."

he then looks to Vorpal. "it's the Sword of Omens. If you remember, I happened to look to it for something. It's how I knew that.....robo....dog....was telling the truth."
WilyKat Wilykat rummages around for something in one of his pouches. "Oh, I had mine already. This is probably someone else's, maybe Kit's. I'll hold on to it for her." Because he's going to see her again, of course. He leaves the explanation of the sword to Lion-O, actually growing quiet for a spell. Wonder of all wonders.
Vorpal "Oh... right. You did that thing with the eyes and the... " A lot has happened. He's not the most retentive person in the world sometimes. "I remember now, the blade extended... I guess it's a grower, not a shower," he says.

Then his eyes go wide when he realizes his filter has, once again, left him for another man. "Why don't you forget that very last thing I said and not repeat it to anyone okay?" He leans over to look at the sword.

"Can anyone look through it, or just you? How about you look for... Chipara, was it? Maybe their pod crashed nearby, too."

Vorpal is savoring the moment of relative silence. WIlykat would not stop talking or asking questions last night, at least until one of them passed out. He can't remember who was first, since his brain was numb by all the talking.
Lion-O     Lion-O blinks at Vorpal. "uh.....right." he says tossing the symbol to Kat. "Once we find Kit, you'll give that to her." he then tilts his head to Vorpal. "Cheetara, and only I can look through it." he then looks to kat. "well, it can't hurt, can it."

That's when he lifts the sword to his eyes, and the hilt curls around his eyes. "Sword of Omens. Give me Sight beyond Sight!"
WilyKat "..what?" Wilykat is clearly not picking up on the joke from Vorpal, but he shrugs it off when the suggestion is made to just pretend it was never made to begin with. He's busy turning the cat symbol around in his hands to pay too much attention to Lion-O using the Sword, though he does glance up along the way just in case anything interesting comes out of it. For once since his arrival on this planet a few days ago, he's almost acting his new age.
Vorpal "Do you see anything?" Vorpal asks, impatient to know. And then, he realizes, he probably shouldn't bother Lion-O while he's being One With The Mewniverse or something, so he turns to Wilykat.

"Who is Cheetarah?" he asks, quietly. He knows she's one of them, but a brief bio wouldn't hurt.
Lion-O     Lion-o lowers the sword, and puts it back in the shield. "Cheetara's here, Kat." he then looks to Vorpal. "Cheetara is one of us, obviously, and one of the only women in our group. She's also a seer.....to a point." He then smiles. "But, above all of that, she's our friend and comrade."
WilyKat "That's good news!" Wilykat exclaims. "And she could run circles around you before you knew what happened," he points out in a helpful, if teasing way. "Do cheetahs exist here? If you do, then you know what I mean." He subtly tries to hide a yawn behind a hand. Maybe he really did stay up too late the night before asking non-stop questions.
Vorpal "Yes, we have cheetahs here. Which, honestly, makes me ask a lot of questions that I know I can't get answers for. You're a lion," he points to Lion-O, "And you're... okay, you're a cat, and Cheetarah's a cheetah. I wonder if some of those conspiracy theories about the Earth being 'seeded' by aliens is true." The cat shakes his head, and shrugs. Whatever. Life is strange, his life doubly so. Why should anything make sense?

"Lion-O, do you know what you want to do once you have gathered everyone you can from your people? Do I have your permission to discuss your... situation to one of Earth's greatest heroes? Perhaps she may be able to extend a hand and help make your transition as easy as possible. Like I said, my house is your house... but I barey have resources of my own. You'll need a lot more than I or a small group of us can come up with."

He looks around, "Where is Cheetara, anyways? Maybe I can try to find her with the Rabbit Hole... but I'd have to be able to see the place, or know its geographic location at least."
Lion-O     "I don't really know, Vorpal." Lion-O says before looking to Kat. "Well...tomorrow we'll look for another place to stay. Another Cat's Lair, I guess." he then chuckles. "help me get this tent up, Kat." he says as he puts the claw on his hip again.
WilyKat The others have very specific species types. Tygra? Lion-O? Cheetara? Panthro? Not only does Wilykat have a tail while Lion-O doesn't, his look is more in line with a 'common' cat. A wildcat, perhaps. "I don't know what you're talking about with aliens and Earth, but anything is possible," he admits before making his way over to see about figuring out that tent. "What does all of this say?" he wonders to Vorpal, pointing at the instructions that go with the pictures. Once it's all figured out, they'll have some pretty decent 'lodgings' for the time being.
Vorpal "I'll help, too. You're going to need someone to interpret the writing. And boss you around. And criticize your work and say they can do better." Vorpal grins. This is, after all, a standard tradition for erecting tents across the universe. "Then I'll leave you be so you can catch up and rest. I'll come by around tomorrow, sounds good? Oh- before I forget..."

He reaches and picks up the duffel bags. "I've brought some canned goods. Most of this stuff you can eat out of the can. Some of it can be cooked over an open fire. C'mon... I'll show you while you choose a spot for the tent."
