Daimon Hellstrom Standing on the cliffside, Jennifer successfully cloaks herself in a veil of invisibility.

The setting sun casts long shadows across the valley far below (about a mile or more down). < http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h173/brelas/nazi%20desert.png > Spotlights are cast upon the two small pyramids and there are several members of the German army scattered around while SS and Nazi party members are mostly in one (or both of the pyramids) as well as a few gestapo are seen here and there. To the east of the pyamids is the German bivouac. There are a few planes, tanks, half tracks and even two mech looking robots < http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/ultramet.htm > that walk together slowly with other troops.

One thing that Jennifer may notice, because she can see magic (and magical effects), is Marea rushing from the bivouac toward the pyramids. She is stealthed from German sight, she is quick, and makes it to the northern pyramid where she will slip inside. Right past the guards.

Jennifer Kale Oh HELL no. Nazis investigating some ancient archeological site is bad enough, even without Marea here. On the other hand, if Marea was planning to use the medallion to get into this timeline it's a pretty good bet the slippery accolyte has worked out a way back home.

Drawing a deep breath, Jen exhales slowly to clear her head. With a gesture the invisible sorceress teleports down to the northern pyramid's entrance. Giving Marea a bit of a head start, she follows the woman inside.
Daimon Hellstrom One other thing Jen may note, the stabbing aspects of the medal are gone. IE: The medal is no longer in her bra. It too was displaced in the whole conundrum of the wacky time/space displacement.

The teleportation goes smoothly. No one seems to notice. The moment that Jen steps into the pyramid, she knows that she set off some magical alarm. It's not audible or discernable to the guards. But it does send an indicator to someone, somewhere, letting them know that there's a goodie-goodie invading the pyramid.

The pyramid's catacombs have burning torches in the walls giving illumination to the descending path. Steps go down 20 feet before there's a T to the right and left. Both will turn deeper into the pyramid a few yards down stairs on their respective sides. Jennifer can hear voices speaking German coming from the corridor on her right.
Jennifer Kale Hearing voices in German, Jen casts a small charm upon herself to filter the language. When in Rome... And of COURSE she set off an alarm. Not that she should be surprised. Fine. Let them come. She's already having a bad day.

Reaching the T, she pauses to scan for any magical aura that Marea would have left in her wake. If nothing comes back, she'll head in the direction of the German-speaking voices.
Daimon Hellstrom There's a 'trail' of glittery darkness that Marea left in her magical wake. It goes right, where the voices are coming from.

The voices become clear in Jen's translated head. "...that they don't know." . "It is terribly frightening." . "I've got a bad feeling."

They round the corner. Guards making their rounds. The hallways are enough for two people to walk side by side (as they do). But will be tricky for Jennifer to sneak past them without touching them. The halls are also only 6 feet in height. Some of the people will need to duck.
Jennifer Kale Shit. Shit. Shit. Timing is of the essence, here, and there's not much time to work with, so Jen will have to cheat. The illusion swirls around her, and Jennifer's garments seem to change. Blonde hair draws up into a tight bun, her dirty face made up conservatively. Jeans and the crop-top become a neat, black uniform with SS insignia. A Major, no less.

The guards round the corner and find her standing there, gazing at them severely with a riding crop tucked under her left arm. Without even waiting for a proper salute, she barks in translated German. "Report!"

All the illusion and the barked order is just a diversion, of course. While the guards are figuratively off-balance, Jen does a bit of mental tampering as well. The guards wouldn't be terribly surprised to find an SS officer here, of course. A bit of a mental turn makes her presence seem entirely natural. And she is someone who commands fear and respect.
Daimon Hellstrom The guards are immediately shocked, caught off guard, and snap to attention. "All is well, ma'am!" One answers. The other then states, "Nothing to report, ma'am!"
Jennifer Kale 'Major' Kale raises her right hand in a casual 'Heil' gesture to acknowledge the salute. "Good. I am here for a surprise inspection. You will not report my presence to anyone." It's a simple enough order, especially when reinforced with a twist of mesmer.

And with that, Jennifer strides right on ahead and down the steps. Yes, she trusts that the guards will step aside for her.
Daimon Hellstrom They salute, turn to the side and allow passage after saying, "Major!" and they will be very glad to be relieved of duty in the next few minutes. They carry on. Jen moves down the stairs and will be able to turn left at the end of the descent. Turning left reveals another lengthy hallway with a few doorways off of it. However, most of the action can be heard at the end of the hallway some 30 meters down. The end turns to the left and is well illuminated. Also, there are several cables along the floor to offer power to that room. The three doors on the right and two doors on the left are open and look into empty rooms filled with dust/sand.
Jennifer Kale There's no need for creeping and skulking now, so Jen strides boldly ahead. The empty rooms are given passing glances, but her attention is focused ahead. Knowing that Marea is somewhere in the building, Jen's only use of -active- magic is to enhance her self-illusion and the aura of authority. Her passive magic senses are on sharp alert, even before she reaches the illuminated room.
Daimon Hellstrom Turning left, Jennifer will find a large ante-room with 4 German soldiers and a Lt. They all snap to attention when she reveals herself. Beyond that room is another larger room that is well lit and has many SS and Nazi cult members. The larger room has a giant statue of Anubus that is glowing. Cult members stand at the base of the statue/dais and are casting summoning magics.

The familiar voice of Marea is heard exclaiming, "You stupid mother fuckers." in plain english and she darts out of that room, completely visualized by everyone, and stops face to face with Jennifer. She says, "They're doing something really stupid in there and we need to leave."

A portal rips open in the larger room.
Jennifer Kale 'Major Kale' gives the brunette a once-over and smirks. "But we just -got- here! This was your brilliant idea, remember? I'm missing my medallion, by the way, so don't wander off." Her speech is also in English.

Then the fabric of reality tears in the next room. Jen can feel it, and probably so can Marea. "DOING something really stupid? Looks like we're already late. You can either stay and help or you can be the first casualty. It's all the same to me."

Jen is already on her way into the room with the open portal when she switches over to German and directs her words to the guards.

<< Do not let this woman leave! I will have your heads on my desk if she does! >>
Daimon Hellstrom Marea hesitates, she's about to bolt, but the soldiers step forward to prevent her potential departure. She mutters, "Fuck." and turns to look into the hallway as something emerges from the portal...

Another thing she points out. Marea says, "Hellstrom; he's in there too. At their feet. They're using him as a catalyst. When he got here a week ago he was unconscious, they captured him. I've been trying to come up with a plan to get him out before this... everyone in that room is going to die. And they don't even know it."
Jennifer Kale "Good job!" Jennifer replies acidly, striding briskly into the room. Mystic senses extend, trying to make sense out of the ritual based on the implements and the placement of the casters. If she can see how they managed to open the portal, then she can close it.

At least in theory.

Jen also reaches out with her white magic, like-seeking-like as she seeks ANYTHING that is life-based. She's counting on the possibility that at least one of these idiots is going to be carrying a mystical 'get out of jail free' card with them. And if so, she'll call it to her.
Daimon Hellstrom Anubis roars and looks around the room annoyed that he's been summoned by mere mortals. "Who dares summon the god of death!?"

The summoning room is 40' wide, 60' deep with high ceilings (20') that are arched by stone. Anubis stands 16 feet tall upon the dais.

The leader of the cult steps forward and says in German, "I, great Anubis, I am the one that summoned you. And because of that, I claim power over you!"

Anubis laughs and everyone (except one person) in the room dies. Including the cult leader (and of course Jennifer who is shielded against 'laughter of death'. Though it does cause discomfort.

The one remaining person standing is a cult member who starts to back away, removes their hood revealing a female with germanic features. She screams in terror, goes insane as she looks around at all the death and the realization that they have just summoned Anubis (a greater god).

Hellstrom can be seen at the foot of the dais, bound by magical ropes and quite awake and gagged.
Jennifer Kale Jennifer stands there in her illusionary SS uniform, crossing her forearms to brace herself as Anubis blasts the room with the 'laughter of death'. The illusion melts away, leaving Jen there in her bellbottoms and cropped top. A very unimpressive figure.

Then a necklace is ripped from the sole surviving cultist's neck, the ankh flying into Jennifer's hand. As the girl dies, the sorceress holds up the symbol boldly and advances towards Anubis. And also towards Hellstrom.

"Okay, party's over and it's time for you to go back home. You can go willingly or I -will- send you back painfully."

She's stepping steadily closer as she talks, and with a flick of her other wrist she dissolves the ropes and gag binding Hellstrom.
Daimon Hellstrom Behind Jen, the other soldiers also died, giving Marea a chance to escape. She doesn't hesitate. She didn't die, and doesn't want to die. So while Jen advances, Marea retreats.

Anubis looks down and across the vast room toward Jen who confronts him. He says, "Priestess of Zhered-Na. You pose not threat to me! The god of Death. Take care in your challenges, else I will strip your power and take you as a concubine."

Anubis hasn't noticed Hellstrom yet. Too far down and the god just stepped over the son of Satan without regard.

But now, Hellstrom is free. He leaps up behind Anubis. Hellstrom announces, "I vote painfully!" and stabs Anubis in the back of the thigh with his trident. Anubis is suddenly even more pissed off than before.
Jennifer Kale With the Egyptian God's distraction, Jennifer begins a more serious casting of her own. It's a series of spells, really, and fairly simple ones at that.

The gate is still open, which is really working in their favor.

Using the ankh to focus her power as a weapon, she sends a mystical blast into Anubis' chest. Over. And over. And over again. Intending to drive him back.
Daimon Hellstrom The blasts don't do actual harm, but they do gain the result that Jen is intending. Knocking him back, inch by inch. The greater god roars, annoyed and with Hellstrom's help, is toppled backward into the open gateway.

Problem is, Hellstrom's trident remains stuck in the god's calf and fighting to retrieve it, Hellstrom is pulled through the gate as well.
Jennifer Kale Jen keeps hitting Anubis in the chest until he topples backward and into the gateway, taking Hellstrom with him. She reaches out, trying physically to grab Daimon, but it's too late.

The portal closes, taking both god and demon with it. Jennifer sinks to her knees for a moment, but at least Anubis is gone.

Time to find Marea.
Daimon Hellstrom Gunshots, ring out like a bell. The sounds of shells are heard falling on the stone, so fast. Marea encountered resistance somewhere else in the underground temple. Seconds will pass of silence. Then there's suddenly a wave of magic that is felt emitting from the other hallway not traveled as it washes down corridors and even out of the pyramid itself. The wave of magic is divine in nature.
Jennifer Kale Jennifer starts back down the corridor at a trot, heading out of the pyramid. She hears the gunshots, figuring that Marea found something she didn't like, and then kicks into a run. Following the sound and focused on it, the wave of divine magic sweeps the pyramid.

Oh NOW what?

Turning, Jen follows the wash of magic back towards its source.
Daimon Hellstrom Rounding the corner, passing the original T and then heading down the other corridor, Jennifer will find a few dead bodies of soldiers that died by eldritch blasts from Marea.

Jennifer will also hear activity of soldiers outside the pyramid as they start to sound the alarm of something bad is going on. German soldiers will be approaching very soon. Then suddenly there's the sound of an explosion and the strafing of airplanes, other explosions and a barrage of gunfire - all outside.

Moving around the other two corners, Jen will see into a newly opened room. Where a stone door once stood - keeping Nazis out - is now open (by Marea). Within the room is a brilliant golden-white glow and a divine magical presence upon a dais. < http://tinyurl.com/y7y6tlkf >

Marea is on the floor, knocked on her ass after touching the box. She's unharmed, just dazed. She looks over to see Jennifer and exclaims, "It's mine!" and she casts an eldritch bolt toward Jennifer's head.
Jennifer Kale Jennifer jogs again, muttering under her breath when she hears the increased commotion outside. "... the hell have you done, lady?" Stepping past the downed soldiers, her attention is first drawn towards Marea. And it's a good thing.

Jen's shield raises reflexively to deflect the eldritch bold and she responds with a two-handed gesture directing a mystical blast of her own at the woman. While Jen's own bolts are capable of hitting like a high-powered rifle, in this case she's going for something more akin to a truck. Trying to slam Marea against the wall.

"Which part of 'stupid' don't you understand?"
Daimon Hellstrom Marea casts her own shield, but it shatters into a million shards of magical energy. She's still knocked back across the stone floor and into the far corner. Dazed again. She mutters about not being stupid. She tries to get up off the floor, fails, flops back down.

The divine glow of the box shimmers and fades from normal sight. It still has quite the magical radiance.

Outside, more explosions, gunfire, airplanes flying overhead.
Jennifer Kale Keeping one hand half-aimed towards Marea, just in case, Jen turns her attention more fully towards the box, now. The golden box with two wooden carrying poles, a pair of winged angels bowed and facing each other on the gilded lid.

"You've GOT to be kidding me..."

No, Jen isn't stupid enough to touch the box. The Ark. THE Ark. There's a lot of Light mystical energy lingering about, too.

Jen extends her magical senses into that radiance, carefully at first. If she's right, then she won't need much power to do what she's intending. Teleportation is something that's easy for Jen, but temporal displacement is another matter entirely.

Destination: the Tower in Florida. Just Jennifer; Marea is on her own. Oh, and the Ark? She'll try to teleport it about a hundred miles out into the desert. And about a hundred feet below the sand. Have a nice day, Third Reich.
Daimon Hellstrom More explosions outside, gunfire, airplanes and now the sounds of tanks...

The ark pulsates as Jen redirects some of its divine energy. With her order/light, she is able to harness the energies easily and through the pure will and desires, she finds herself floating through space/time. The swirling vortex of the astral plane reveals colors of red, blue, and countless stars, galaxies, planets, and the timeverse with which she travels. She will catch glimpse of Zhered-Na watching her from afar and Jen will hear the voice of the priestess, "You have done well my child." Then, suddenly Jennifer is standing within the tower, within Florida, modern times. She will feel the floor shift and the tower itself begin to crumble away.
Jennifer Kale Jen runs to get clear of the tower before it collapses, standing on a small rise to watch it crumble away. Fingers run through blonde hair as she sorts through what just happened. The Ark? Hopefully safely out of Nazi reach. Marea? Oh, unfortunately the woman will probably survive and probably escape.

While her first thoughts are more towards a long, hot bath and Chinese take-out, Jen begins mental preparations for a summoning instead. One of the advantages of being from another plane, infernal or not, is that Daimon can be summoned. Just like any other demon.

She owes him that much.
