Owner Pose
Jason Todd When Jason picked up Sandra on his motorcycle for an evening date, he had warned her that there was one stop that he needed to make in the city before they headed out. For some reason, he had a small bundle of roses - but these were not presented to her. Instead, they were held onto for now.

The sun is starting to dip low in the west with the rumbling bike arrives at the edge of the church and it's graveyard, where Jason brings the bike to a halt. "Just be a few, don't have to come with if you don't want." he offers back to Sandra as he moves to dismount, setting his helmet on the handlebars.
Sandra After climbing off the bike, Sandra takes her helmet off and gives her brown hair a shake. Her head tilts to one side, then she says, "I'll go with you." She says as she reaches out to take his free hand in hers for a squeeze. Her fingers curl about his as they head in the direction he guides her. "I take it we're to see your mother?"
Jason Todd There's a dry laugh from Jason. "Something like that." he says as he feels his hand captured and returns the squeeze. As they walk along the small trails in the graveyard, the various statues and gravestones stand out - it's an old place - one steeped in history. Finally, as if guided there by his own process, he arrives at the gravesite that is settled there.

A large robed angel, with it's arms and wings stands outstretched on a pedestal. Beneath that is the words carved into the marker.

"Hey, kid." he greets the grave that he clawed his way out of a couple of years ago. "See that you're being taken care of. I'll make sure to leave a donation in the poor box."
Sandra ".. Oh." Sandra says once they reach /his/ grave. She shifts her jaw in thought, then gives his hand another squeeze. "You came to visit yourself?" She asks as she tilts her head a bit. ".. Oh. Because of the anniversary of your death." She gives him a glance with her eyes. "You gonna be okay? Do you think .. that this is healthy?"
Jason Todd "Yeah, I'm fine. Doctor once told me that it's healthy that I face my own mortality now and again." Of course that doctor was Harleen Quinzel, but Jason's not about to tell Sandra that as he releases her hand to kneel down and place the roses in front of the grave. "Noone else usually visits it, so I took it on myself."

After placing the roses, he rises back up. "My mother's not buried here. She's still down in Mexico, where I died." he shrugs at that, before turning to consider Sandra. "She wasn't a good person, so it doesn't really mean that much to me." That's a lie, but his face doesn't betray that emotion.
Sandra "I think every mother means something to someone." Sandra says as she slides her arm around his waist as she leans in against him. "No one should technically visit it because you aren't dead. You have a second chance at life and I don't think it's healthy that you live in the past. I'm not a therapist or anything but .. I would focus on being alive now rather than when you were dead." She gives him another squeeze, followed by a kiss to his cheek.
Jason Todd "That's the thing. I'm only alive because of.. whatever it was that awoke me. I can't explain it. But it made me change. It made me different. I don't want to put anyone in the way. You've made it clear you don't want to be dragged into this - it's why you're only working with the X-Men on the side. I don't want to be the one that gets you targetted. I don't want to be the one that forces you to face something you don't want."

He sighs, closing his eyes against the kiss to her cheek. "I can't put you in a place to accept the monster I might become and make you decide between me and doing what's right, Sandra."
Sandra "I actually dropped the X-Men gig a week or so ago. It was just too much work on top of my schedule and I wanted to free up more time to spend with you. Having a boyfriend is nice." Sandy admits as she curls her other arm around him, pulling him a bit closer to rest her forehead against his. "And I'm a big girl, Jason. I can handle whatever is thrown at me. One of the best things about being invulnerable is that it takes a lot to get under my skin. Even bad guys or bad boys." She brushes her fingers through the back of his hair.
Jason Todd "There's things about me that you're not gonna like, Sandy." Though Jason allows himself to be pulled into her embrace, his arms loosely settle around him. "I'm not one of those guys you see on videos and shit that people look up to. If anything, I'll be a footnote for an arrest - a vigilante - might as well be a criminal. You deserve better than that, Sandy."
Sandra "Is this your way of breaking up with me?" Sandy asks with concern in her voice, tilting her head to one side. "You don't think I can handle it? I literally live in a rough neighborhood and I work in the ward where I'm surrounded by nothing but injuries and violence. I got thick skin, literally. I can deal with whatever you have going on. We all got our demons, Jason, but if you do things for the /right/ reasons, you can't really be wrong."
Jason Todd "I just want to make sure you understand everything that comes with me. I'm a mess. I'm offering you a chance to bail while you still can." Jason responds to her quietly. "Because if they find out about us, they will come after you." he says quietly, solemnly. "And I don't want you to have to go through that."
Sandra Snagging him by the waist, Sandra hefts him upwards as if he was made of tissue paper, holding him over her head with one hand. She stares up at him with a bemused smirk upon her face. "Does it look like I am worried about anyone coming after me? I'm bullet proof and I can throw cars, Jason. You don't have to be a mess if you don't want to be." She says as she puts him back down.
Jason Todd "Okay, that's a first." Probably not, but Jason gives a slight oomph as he's lifted into the air. "Think you gave me a wedgie." he mutters, before glancing at the grave. "Come on, I'll give you a ride back home."
Sandra "It's a first that a girl picks you up instead of you picking her up?" Sandy teases as she leans in to give him a kiss. "Sure, let's go back home and snag some dinner. Then whatever else you want to do." She says as she tiptoes her fingers up his chest playfully.
Jason Todd "You think about sex more than I do." Jason rolls his eyes at that, before turning to head towards the bike with Sandra, leaving the roses and his grave behind in the process. He'll probably not move on yet, but it's a step - and a small one, at least.
Sandra "That's a laugh. You can't even keep your hands off me." Sandy grins as she follows after him as she reaches out to take his hand for a squeeze. "Not that I'm complaining. I like being with you, in or out of the bedroom. What do you want to do for dinner tonight?"
