Kano Lenny Peck is a great resource for a number of thieves in the city, a solid fence. Fair and quick, he'll take almost anything small and shiny, in small amounts. He can't help with bank vault volume, but smaller items to fence, he's ideal, and has a number of contacts who will buy whatever he picks up from thieves on the street. With criminals such as the Black Cat, he's a fair price for jewelry and gems, and mediocre for silver and gold. Still, it's better than nothing. He sends his nephew to the front of his pawnshop, and meets the Cat on the second floor, from the secret landing in the back.

Lenny's tired or tense about something, but met her on time from their pre-arranged meeting. "Can't shoot the shit too long today," Lenny warns her, "But we can deal quick. Let's see what you have."
Felicia Hardy "Aww, c'mon. Where's that fire? Where's the drive? Where's the -love-, Lenny?" Cat purrs, trying to loosen her contact up a little. "I've got somethin' special for ya today. I thought you'd be happy to see me." The Black Cat cops a pout as she pulls a folded cloth from a pouch on her belt. She's in full Black Cat regalia, choosing always to live her life behind the mask whenever possible.
Kano "The love comes in your little cloth there, I'll let you know after I see the goods," Lenny answers, in his deadpan, flat way. That's just his sense of humor, which tends to be a cautiously tactful manner. He's an elderly guy, he's been at this a long time. But sexy young women playing with him has always been a perk. He moves his chair in and unrolls a velvety black mat on his table, expecting jewelry. He impatiently gestures. He's usually patient; he did mean hurry, for some reason.
Felicia Hardy "You got it Baby, keep yer pants on..." Cat unfolds, then unrolls the soft white cloth, revealing a bracelet absolutely iced with high quality diamonds. In its center are three large emeralds of exquisite quality.

"You know how I looove things that sparkle. Well I knew when I saw this one that I just HAD to have it."
Kano Lenny is impressed, because his brows move a little. That's Lenny being impressed, he usually is reserved. He accepts the items and begins to inspect it with a magnifier, taking care to be thorough. "Hmmmm," he says, distracted. His phone to his right lights up with a text from the front of the store, his nephew. A peek at the message would reveal, 'THEY ARE EARLY'. Lenny is looking at the gems, enjoying the sparkle like the Cat does. "Yet you want to part with it, mm?"
Felicia Hardy "Ohh it's JUST lovely," Cat gushes. "But too big for my delicate wrist...it just...doesn't hang right. All of my things have to hang JUST right...or it simply SPOILS my fun." Cat winks with a mischievous grin. "Think you can do me right, Lenny?"
Kano There's sounds of some men arriving in the front of the store, some of their low voices filter up from there as Lenny glances behind him, then at his phone, and suddenly he switches to sudden movment. "Put this away," Lenny says quickly to her, rolling the item up in a quick motion and slipping it in front of her, confident that the thief will palm it with ease. His tone suggests no room for argument or games, he's serious.

"Wow; I knew y' had somethin' for a bonus, Lenny, but look what we got here," comes an Australian accented, deep voice from the alternate entrance. The massive frame of Kano leans into the doorframe, one forearm on the door frame, the other palm loose on the doorknob. The big man moved quietly, and his leaning manner clashes with that silent arrival. The military tone to his attire sends a whole other signal. He isn't alone, a shadow of a martial artist behind him flits down and across, nearly invisibly.

Kano's armed and it's obvious: there's a scent of it on him. His head is tilted, single eye appraising Black Cat. His other is a shine of red technological optic out of the metal plate in his head. Expression on his lips screams of a bully's confidence.
Felicia Hardy "Well Helloooo Mr. Dangerous." Cat smiles easily, having put away the bracelet before Kano entered. "What kind of surprise were you expecting?" She winks and sidles over to circle him slowly, sniffing. "Oooh, you even SMELL manly and dangerous."
Kano The grin from Kano in response is immediate, but she's watched with a cautious awareness. Mr. Dangerous is not extremely trusting, though he doesn't move. He blocks the door, so her circle will need to be a semi-circle in front of him, unless she wriggles past him.

"Wouldn't say surprise. Didn't think ol' Lenny was smart enough to come up with a sexy cat burglar, get me all distracted," Kano says, and makes a little kiss at her. He's made a guess about her mostly due to their location in Lenny's back room. Looks more like thief than a buyer. "She any good?" Kano asks without looking at Lenny, still focused on her.
"One of the very best," Lenny says, glad to have attention not on him. Kano lifts his left brow. "That so?"
Felicia Hardy "Well that might be a BIT of an exaggeration," Cat purrs, reaching up to finger Kano's vestments. "The 'one of' part, not the 'best.' Cause I'm the best you'll ever find..." Her mask and catsuit probably gave her away a LITTLE anyway...
Kano "That's pretty bold of ya. I'm pretty fuckin' good at findin' shit," Kano replies, rubbing his thumb against the digits of his fingers on that same hand, posture still relaxed. He hasn't moved much at all. Her touching of his vest is allowed, a bit more of the giant black dragon tattoo at his collarbone shows. Her proximity also draws in the guard at his back, similarly military dress to his boss, but with the stance of a martial artist. There's a shadow of a dragon along that man's neck as well. Black Dragon clan signifiers: nasty assassins and mercenaries.

"Found the Black Cat, did I?" Kano asks, as bold as she is.
Felicia Hardy "Nobody ever -expects- to find a stray. That's why they're called strays. But if one takes a liking to ya, you may be stuck with her. She might just follow you home..." Cat notes the man behind him, but she doesn't seem concerned. "So...You've found the Black Cat. Must be your lucky day..."
Kano Kano looks down over her, most specifically the cleavage and array of gemstones on her costume, then back up, cocky attitude returned. "No argument from me on that, babe. I'm always ready to be, 'n get-- lucky." He surveys for weapons on her with a trained eye. "So you're good, huh. Lemmie see your prat-dig," Kano suggests, though his tone is a mix of flirty and dangerously judging. In thief terms, he's using pickpocket lingo to suggest she steal from his back pocket.
Felicia Hardy Cat smiles playfully and leans in close, as she pulls an ammo clip from her waistpouch and offers it to Kano. "I gave you a demonstration earlier. It was a quick one. If you blinked, ya probably missed it..."
Kano Kano reaches for the ammo clip, then twists with a sleek motion, going for her wrist instead, and grins. He flips a butterfly knife out of nowhere -- well, not nowhere, she'll see it though with her quick eye: it's a quickdraw from next to his hip. He steps out just a little, rolling his tongue up against his teeth and upper lip. "Uh huh. So. You stole from me. Glad we agree. Guess I get to take your hand?" Kano asks, flipping the knife. "Trust me, you'll miss it."
Felicia Hardy "Aww...well, you'd miss it, too Sweetie. What am I supposed to do for you with just one hand? I much prefer to use both. And I think you'll like it that way better, too..." She leaves her wrist in his grip, however. Not the tiniest hint of trying to squirm out of his grasp.
Kano Kano issues an order to the other man without turning, "Soften Lenny up in front. I'll be in to get my point made about /that/." The shadow from behind him slips around them to lift Lenny by the upper arm and steer him into the front of the store. Which leaves Kano and the Cat alone.

Kano narrows his eye at her a little, a snarl on his lip. As he has her wrist, he draws her forward, and then angles the knife towards the side of her cleavage, a light tease of the blade there at the V, as if trying to draw a reaction from her. "Maybe not worth it, when I end up havin' to skin the cat to get my shit back," Kano baits.
Felicia Hardy "Well, Handsome...the way I see it, there are only SO many places to hide 'your shit'...what use do I have for your ammo? I don't even use a gun." She presses closer to him, letting the point of his knife press against her skin where it is precariously held. "You're rumored to be the best. I can't resist a challenge...I just HAD to know if I could do it." She adopts a pout and looks up at him wide-eyed. "Would you -really- want me if I didn't have to try?"
Kano "Ha! Never said I was the best at lift. You keep that crown. I got other talents. Maybe getting under your skin was more the goal, I guess I don't /need/ an excuse, huh, baby doll?" Kano asks, releasing the wrist as he has very little reason to actually hold it, with her so willingly pressing closer. The non-knife hand slides softly up her arm and shoulder to the side of her neck. It's 'nice' enough, light, a flick of thumb against her giant earring and side of her nape. He draws an index finger along her chin and jaw. Calculated, it is: the fingers are just shy of a strangle position, and his other body language suggests he might, even if his expression is as flippant as hers.

"Not much for usin' guns myself, t'be honest. Give me up close and personal, poundin' o' blood against m' blade or palm? Mmmhm." A soft deep laugh rumbles in Kano. "Nothin' like it. Cept maybe takin' a few cool mill, or a good fuck."
Felicia Hardy The danger is real, and he can probably feel her pulse racing with that hand. But the Black Cat doesn't move. She stays there, at the tip of a knife and the precipice of having the life squeezed out of her. "Sounds like we're not so different, then. Is that why you'd like to hurt me?" She tilts her head, but doesn't impede his touch. "You like the thrill of the challenge as much as I do."
Kano Kano laughs again. He hasn't actually shown anger, no more than her. They're both playful. His is leaning murderer, is the difference. He got annoyed at her stealing, but he doesn't seem to have built up animosity over it. He leans in towards her opposite cheek from the side he has his hand on, which still caress her neck and flick under her jawline softly. Bringing his head in close puts his eerie cybernetic eye out of view for the moment, since he wanted to brush her skin with his beard just a little, to say near her ear, "I like all sort o' thrill. Both hard and easy. But yeh. Sometimes I see somethin, and decide I'd like to have it," Kano says in a low voice to her. "An' I got all sort of challenges to 'xcite you, kitten."
