Tyler Grant It's a somewhat exciting day for Tyler. Not only has he gotten up the courage to send a message to a girl, but the girl happens to be super cool, extremely famous Andrea Jackson. Sitting alone on his bed, leaning back against the wall behind it, Tyler swipes out a message on his phone to the young lady: "Just wanted to say hey and thanks for the dinner again. It was really cool to meet you."
Andrea It was a rather exciting day for Andrea as well, as her phone has been blownig up with all types of excitement after TMZ ran their story of her and Mason out together again in the eyes of NYC. Her social media has gone dark on all channels where it is mostly an active sphere of photo uploads and updates on tours or news. Regardless, courage is rewarded with a DM returned through Twitter from her official account: @TheRealAndreaJacksonMusic.

No problem! It was great meeting you too. What'd you end up ordering?
Tyler Grant When the message comes back Tyler is at first too surprised to do anything but stare. It takes a few moments for the young man to get it together enough to reply. When he does so there's a big grin on his face. His own Twitter handle is @TylerBrawls

I had the chicken parmesan with a side of spaghetti. It's my favorite Italian dish.
Andrea Another message appears from the account: That's a good one. Next time you go, try the giant meatball. It's covered in marinara and cheese. It's the size of a softball <insert picture of it> I always get the lasagne because I'm basic. Reminds me of my grandmother's cooking.

Then another message appears: Hey, probably inappropriate to ask, but how did Mason seem? Was he okay? I know yesterday was crazy.
Tyler Grant Tyler doesn't take long to reply: That looks really good. I'll give it a try if I go back. Don't worry about being basic, if it reminds you of your grandmother then that's more reason to have it.

The next message takes a couple of seconds longer before he sends it: He was okay. A little bit upset that people made all kinds of assumptions, but he seems used to that sort of thing.
Andrea The next message from Andrea is quick enough: Yeah. The media has not been nice to him and it's my fault. I wrote that stupid song and I ruined his life. I still lose sleep at night over it. No one should get used to bullying or being yelled at. Are you going to see him again?
Tyler Grant This next message comes back in a timely manner, though it's likely that Tyler took some time to think before sending it: It's all in the past now. I don't think Mason seemed to have any hard feelings about it, but he might have been hiding it if he was. Probably. I'm going to show him my gym and get him started with jiu jitsu, maybe.
Andrea The next message from Andrea reads: That is really cool. He could use a real friend. People in our industry are leeches. They use us for money, fame and to get their name out there. You're a good person, right Tyler?
Tyler Grant Tyler responds: He seems like a cool guy. I'm not really interested in getting famous or anything, except maybe as a fighter someday. I try to be a good person. I go out of my way to help people and stuff.
Andrea Andrea responds with: Everyone has good intentions until they smell oppourtunity. I had to cut a lot of my friends out. Sometimes you have to pick the weeds before you can grow a flower.
Tyler Grant Tyler: That sucks. I hope you've got some good friends now, though. I went through a time where I didn't have a lot of friends and it was pretty lonely.
Andrea Andrea: I have very few friends now these days from my childhood. Very few in the industry. I'm sixteen and I need to stay sixteen, not pretend I'm thirty. That is the hard part of Hollywood. A lot of kids my age burn out in the industry, do drugs and the such because it's easy to get ahold of when you're famous. I just want to sing songs and finish school. When our life is under a magnifying glass, you have to make good choices. That includes who you have in your entourage. I'm sure it goes without saying that if you hurt him ....
Tyler Grant Tyler: It's got to be pretty rough for you sometimes. I never really thought about all the downsides and everything. It's good that you're staying away from drugs and stuff, though. They can mess you up in a big way. And don't worry about me, I don't see myself hurting him. It's just nice to hang out with someone who I didn't meet at the gym, you know?
Andrea A few minutes go by and there is no message from Andrea, but Tyler's phone begins to ring with a blocked number.
Tyler Grant After time starts to pass Tyler sighs and goes to looking at other stuff on his phone. When it rings, though, he appears surprised momentarily and answers the call, holding the phone to the side of his head to talk, "Hello?"
Andrea "Hey, I got tired of DMing you. I'm drying my fingernails now. Painted them hot pink with tiny white hearts in the middle of them. They're super cute." It's Andrea's voice on the phone. "Don't ask how I got your phone number. My excuse is I'm rich."
Tyler Grant "Oh, hey!" Tyler sounds genuinely pleased to hear Andrea on the other line. "That sounds nice." Then he take a second to think, "I hadn't actually thought about how you got my number. It's okay. I don't mind if you call me."
Andrea "I'm sure most people wouldn't mind if I called them." Andrea teases for a moment with some humor in her voice. "So, where you at right now? Are you at home? Gym?" She asks curiously enough.
Tyler Grant "That's true," says Tyler with a little chuckle, waiting until it tapers off before speaking again, "I'm sitting at home right now. I'm heading to the gym later today, though. I go almost every day."
Andrea "Ah. I already got my gym in today. I start my routine at five in the morning every day with my trainer. Today was cardio and tomorrow is strength conditioning." Andrea says as she gives a happy tone in her voice. "So, I'm sure you heard that I came out as a mutant. Does that freak you out?"
Tyler Grant "I go to a fight gym. Tonight it's kickboxing, so I do a lot of stretches and flexibility training before we start to make sure I can kick people in the head without hurting myself," Tyler says with a little chuckle. "It's awesome that you got a trainer, though. I just work out with the other guys I train with, but it's still pretty good." Then he takes his time to answer, "No. I know another mutant and he's just a normal guy. I figure you're more likely to be different from me because you're rich and famous and stuff."
Andrea "Rich and famous people put their pants on the same as you do. I'm not all that different. I come home and put sweats on and watch Netflix at the end of the day. You have a mutant friend? What's his powers? What is he like?" Andrea asks curiously on the other line. "How long you been friends for?"
Tyler Grant "That's cool. I was just trying to make a joke, though, to show that I'm cool with people being mutants." Tyler goes on, "Yeah. He's pretty nice. Goes to my gym. His powers are dodging stuff real good and not missing when he throws things. And he's super agile. Pretty sweet stuff. I've known him a long time but he's not open about the mutant thing, only like two people know about it. So what kind of powers have you got?"
Andrea "Do you think I can meet him? It would be nice to talk to someone else about it. I'm um... I am ... probably going to attend a school now that is for gifted children that are mutants. Designed to train you how to .. um ... you know..be in control of your powers and get an awesome education. I'm nervous, but excited also. I've been home schooled the last two years and it has been hard." At the topic of her powers, Andrea grows very quiet, letting out a soft breath and a 'um...'
Tyler Grant "Umm..." Tyler finds himself without words at Andrea's question. Eventually he manages to speak again, "Yeah, I think you can meet him." When the topic of a school for mutants comes up he can't keep excitement out of his voice, "So this school, they help you learn about your powers and stuff? And it's all other mutants? That sounds great. I bet you're excited to go there." When she doesn't go into her powers Tyler leaves it alone, letting the young lady retain her privacy.
Andrea "Yeah, this school is for mutants. They reached out to me when they heard about me going public. I got to meet the faculty. Everyone is so nice there. I met the famous Dr Hank McCoy. He's a huge big furry blue guy. Emma Frost is there too! She is one of the richest women in the world. She teaches the business curriculum I believe. Maybe your friend would be interested? They even got paths to college as well. I'm going to see about setting up a scholarship program." Andrea says as she speaks to Tyler on the phone from her condo in Manhattan. After a few long silent seconds, she says, ".. I um... I turn into a werewolf and I go into a .. primal rage.. without control. I black out during it." She says in a soft whisper, as if she was scared to say it. ".. please don't tell anyone. Don't tell Mason."
Tyler Grant "Nice!" exclaims Tyler over the phone. He's at home in his bedroom, sitting on his bed with his back up against the wall as he holds his phone to his ear. "That's so cool, getting to meet those guys. My... uh... my friend doesn't have a lot of friends at his current school so maybe he would like to check yours out." That's when Andrea tells him about what she does. Tyler goes silent for a moment, "I won't tell anybody. I can see why you'd want to keep that a secret, though."
Mason     Tyler's phone rings, and as dramatic irony would require, it is Mason.
Andrea "I bet they would love to meet your friend." Andrea says as she gives a smile. "Set up a meeting with me? I can meet you guys somewhere. He is cool, right?"
Tyler Grant "Hang on a second, Andrea, I'm getting a call on the other line, but I'll totally set up a meeting. Just a second," Tyler says into the phone before he pushes a button on the screen to speak with the new caller, "Hey Mason, how's it going? I've got someone on the other line." That is of course if he hit the correct button and didn't just merge the calls.
Mason Mason's voice comes clear over the line. "Hey bruh," he greets. "Doin' great, doin' great. I was just gonna see about takin' you up on that fighting stuff. But if you got another call, no problem, I'm cool. You can just hit me back whenever you get free."
Tyler Grant "Yeah man, that sounds great. I'm probably going to the gym tonight for some training," Tyler says. "I'm doing kickboxing stuff tonight, which is really fun. But yeah, I'll call you back when I'm done on the other line."
Mason     "Cool, cool," Mason agrees. "And I might have a good party for us to check out, I'll keep you posted if it happens." He sounds like he might be on speakerphone. "Ciao for now." The line doesn't hang up, though, and movement can be heard as he does things around the room.
Andrea As it appears Mason gets patched into their call, Andrea's heart starts to race. After a moment, they can hear her let out a heavy breath. ".. I think you merged the calls by accident, Tyler. I didn't know Mason had your number." Awkward. "I probably should have hung up. He sounds happy .. maybe you two should go hang out and I can let you go." Obviously she thinks Mason hung up at this point.
Tyler Grant "Oh hell," Tyler says as he pulls his phone away from his head to look at it and figure out what exactly it was that he managed to do. "Sorry about that." Well, they're all on the phone together at this point. "I... umm... can always call either of you back. I don't really have anything going on today until this evening."
Mason Mason doesn't answer. Perhaps he did hang up? As it is, he left the room, and doesn't hear what is happening on the phone.
Andrea "Well, you got his number, not mine. I guess you gotta call him back." Andrea laughs softly as she gives a bit of a mental shrug across the line. "It's not a big deal. If he knew I was on the line he'd have hung up or got upset with you so it's better he didn't know I was on the line and he hung up when he did. So, this mutant friend of yours. What is he like? If you introduce me, he's not going to be weird or anything? He's not dangerous? You trust him?"
Tyler Grant "That's true," chuckles Tyler. "I'm glad I didn't piss him off or anything. He seems really cool." Then he laughs a little bit, "Nope, he's not going to be weird. No weirder than a normal guy, at least. He's not dangerous. I've never known him to intentionally hurt anybody. I trust him completely."
Mason     Mason walks back in, and hears the end of Tyler's statement. He glances around, uncertain at first hearing whether it was a TV, or if it was the stereo, or something else. He only caught the last couple of words, and so he doesn't say anything right away.
Andrea "Why am I starting to think that /you/ are this mutant you're talking about?" Andrea asks with an amused tone in her voice, her brows lifting upwards as she scoots back against her bed to rest her head against the wall. "Okay, so if we meet up, where at and when? I'll have to bring my bodyguard of course. He's sorta contracted to follow me anywhere but he won't say or do anything. Not unless my life was in danger."
Tyler Grant "Well... umm..." Tyler starts to talk, taking a deep breath. "I didn't want to say it over the phone." He's quiet for a little while before he speaks again. "We can meet up anywhere you want to. There are a couple of cool spots here in Clinton and you're probably not going to get mobbed by fans and reporters here."
Mason     Mason glances at his phone upon hearing Andrea's voice, and walks over, picking it up. Then he hears Tyler's voice. "Tyler?" he says, "Are we still on the line?" He pauses. "And...Andrea, is that you?" Surely not. Why would he be talking to Andrea?
Andrea "So you are a mutant?" Andrea's voice grows a bit excited. "Oh, wow. That is awesome. We can talk more about it later, but I'm so pumped to have a friend. I can totally introduce you to the school if you want, and you can meet the faculty. Wait, how old are you again? I remember what you looked like but I didn't stare too hard. Kinda hard to when I'm around Maaa...sss...on.....oh my God you're still on the phone?" She gasps out when she hears his voice. "... Um... Yeah... it's.. Andrea... I don't think you hung up..."
Tyler Grant "Mason?" Tyler asks into the phone, sounding very surprised. "Hey man, I didn't realize we were still connected." And then Andrea starts talking and Tyler says, "That would be really cool. I just turned seventeen a couple weeks ago." Then he shuts up to let the other two talk, should they need to.
Mason     "Oh," Mason says, and there are a few uncomfortable seconds where it is silent. "I guess I thought it hung up. I didn't mean to interrupt anything," he says. "Sorry, didn't mean to eavesdrop."
Andrea "No, it's okay. He hit me up on Twitter to thank me for dinner and we just started talking and I figured I'd give him a call since I'm drying my nails. Oh, actually, they're done. You guys want to see?" Andrea says, her voice stammering out nervously. "And, we were just talking mutant stuff.. I'm being accepted to a new school that takes in mutants and helps train us in being safe with our powers and has a really good academic program. So.. I'm just excited to go back to a real school again instead of doing packets in the living room, and um... Tyler has a friend who's a mutant..." She isn't sure how much Mason heard. "So, he's going to introduce me so we can talk.. you know.. make me feel better.. since I'm weird now."
Tyler Grant "It's okay. You didn't mean to," Tyler replies to Mason. "We were just talking about stuff." Yeah. Stuff. Andrea seems to explain things a lot better than he ever could so the young man lets her do so. Mostly, he's kind of frozen in fear, sitting on his bed and wondering what's going to happen next.
Mason     "Oh, no that's cool, Andy." He hasn't called her that in a while. Of course, he hasn't talked to her in a while, either. "Sounds good. Glad you are able to get support for that. It'd suck to go through it alone. And, yeah I heard that other part. Don't worry, Tyler, I got your back, bruh." He thumbs the red button, hovering over it. "If I was a mutant, I'd want to be able to have friends that I could talk to. So I'll let you guys get to that." He still hovers over the hang up button, but is hesitant to press it.
Andrea "... You don't gotta go. Do um.. you two want to come over to my place? I'm home alone and we can rent some movies and I got this massive popcorn maker thingy that spits out all these flavors. We can catch up, and .. you know.. the three of us." Andrea suggests as she takes in a deep breath, then swallows tightly. ".. and maybe talk about what we're going to do for Tony's birthday party. I heard you got invited also to perform. I think Mister Stark is trying to strike while the iron is hot with all that TMZ nonsense. I do have a couple of duets that I've written but haven't had a chance to try it out. Maybe you can look at them?"
Tyler Grant "Thanks, man," Tyler says to Mason. "It means a lot. It's not something I'm ready for people to know about yet." Then Andrea has her suggestion and Tyler finds himself nodding at it, "I could do that."
Mason     "Well," Mason says, mind racing for a response. "I... I guess we do have to talk about the Stark party. I don't want to mess up your date, though. We could talk after you guys do your thing."
Andrea "What? Date? It's not a date. I'm not dating anybody. I just was thinking it would be cool to talk mutant stuff. Maybe you'd like to hear about it also." Andrea says as she bites on her lip. "So, um... can you pick Tyler up and head over to my place then? Address is the same and I'll buzz you into the garage. You can park next to my BMW, the spot is free since my parents are in California."
Tyler Grant "Yeah, we just wanted to talk mutant stuff," Tyler says, though perhaps there's a trace of disappointment in his voice. "I can meet up wherever is easiest for you guys, too. I've got a ride, or I can take public transportation."
Mason     Mason pauses. "Okay, well, I guess I'll head on over. I got a class, and then I'll catch up with you." He did just start taking classes at Julliard. It's why he is in New York at all. "Heading in there now so I'll catch you guys soon."
Andrea "Have you not seen the pictures of Mason's Ferrari on the Internet? Trust me, you wanna get picked up in that. It's a babe magnet." Andrea says with a giggle. "Okay, I'll see you guys soon. I'll take a quick shower and throw some clothes on and fire up the popcorn maker. See yah!" *Click* Her end of the line goes dead.
Tyler Grant "Alright. Good luck in class," says Tyler. Then he lets out a laugh, "I'll take the ride in the Ferrari, then. Won't hear me arguing about that." Just before he also hangs up he says, "Later." Then the button is pressed.
