Speed After the meeting in the park, Tommy had gone back to Xavier's to brood over everything he'd learned then, after a few days, reached out to his brother, it was weird to think he had one of those now, to talk. The venue of choice, a coffee shop in NYC, somewhere reasonably quiet and normal for two very unusual brothers to talk.

Tommy gets there first, of course, and has already staked out a table, coffee in hand while he waits for his brother to arrive, firing off a quick text:

Tommy >> I'm here, any time baby bro.

Yes, Tommy unilaterally decided to make himself the older brother.
Wiccan Wiccan also had questions to mull over and maybe a spell or two to cast to see if he could figure things out. Even if he -did- go back and witness his and Tommy's 'creation', it doesn't really answer anything. He's both armed with a little more information and nothing new as he makes his way to the chosen coffee shop. He's looking at his phone and texting back as he steps in and catches sight of the shock of white hair and 'his' face. Still so weird. "Technically, I don't think that there's an older or a younger with us. Since, uhm..." does he have to elaborate? "Hey. Thanks for reaching out. This is...weird," is said as he pushes a hand through his own dark hair and giving an uncertain smile.
Speed Tommy grins and takes a sip of his coffee, "Yeah, I know popped into existence at the same time I bet, but, it was funny," he says of his claiming the older brother title. "And yeah, totally weird, and yet," he says frowning a little. "I haven't once thought it was bullshit, and I mean if anyone else told me what Mom told me, I'd have gotten out of there thinking it was a scam. Anyhow grab a coffee, and sit down, I am sure we have a ton of crap to talk about."
Wiccan "From what I could tell, yeah," which could be an interesting statement. "I don't know that I can call her 'Mom' just yet. It's...weird." And obviously difficult to think of a better term. He'll give a nod and go get his fancy, expensive, really-sweet coffee drink and return to the table to sit. "I sort of did think it was, but then I looked back and saw. It's...I mean, I knew I was adopted, but I never knew it was something like this. And our mom is," he leans closer to whisper, "Scarlet Witch! And our grandfather is Magneto!" He makes a gesture of his mind being blown then.
Speed Billy's comment gives Tommy pause. When did he start thinking of her as Mom? He hadn't at the park but with time he'd eased into it. "Yeah," he says taken by surprise. "Guess it's easier for me, my other Mom was crap, never even mentioned I was adopted, which I suppose is why they gave me away to the state so easily," he wrinkles his nose and takes an angry swallow of his triple shot expresso. Because the speedster needs caffeine right?

He pauses, "Wait, you looked back and saw?" he asks. "How? What happened?"

"And totally," he ads about their Mom and grandfather, mimicking the motion, "Also, can't remember if you were there when he mentioned it, but Mag, er, grandfather mentioned we're royals, like royal family of Genosha now."
Wiccan "What? That's insane! Really?" Billy's eyes are wide as he takes a sip of his overly-complicated coffee drink. "So what does that mean?" The question though, has him looking to the table for a moment before he lifts a shoulder in an almost-bashful shrug. "It's...sort of...what I do. Magic stuff. Not like Wanda...maybe a little like it?" Can she look back in time and realities? "I just sort of cast something that let me see my origin...our origin. I never thought to look at it before because who thinks about that?"
Speed "Right? It's totally awesome and pants crappingly scary at the same time," Tommy says, "On one hand, we're," he drops his volume. "Royals, but on the other, all that attention. Anyhow, grandfather said he'd give us our titles when we visit Genosha."

The idea of looking back in time gets an eyebrow raise, "So got the good powers there, bro," he says. "And don't blame you for not looking until you knew there was something to see other than your parents doing it," he says. "So, it's true then, we just sort of popped into existence, and did you see our dad at all, whoever he is," there's a beat. "If we have one."
Wiccan "Titles? Does that mean we're going to have paparazzi following us around?" That may or may not be a good thing in Billy's mind. He's a bit torn on that. He shakes his head again in disbelief. The other questions are easier to answer. "Well, I thought about trying to find my birth-parents, but it never really seemed worth the effort. Not when I could potentially do it using the paper route."

His own eyebrows raise, "Good? I don't know about that. What do you do?" Although he looks back down at the table before shaking his head again, this time in the negative. "I didn't. But we were 'created'. We may not even really have one. Who even knows if we have genetic matches to our parents." Or to each other!
Speed "I'd say the odds are good with our mom being famous and our grandfather being infamous," Tommy reasons before his expression falls and he mutters, "Shit," he says. "Guess I need to tell them about my past, mom and grandfather, I sort of blew up my old school, I bet they're going to want to know that's going to come up." He lets that pass for the moment. "Right, makes sense, so, your adoptive parents? Do they know about all this yet?" he asks.

As for what Tommy can do, he answers, "Speedster," rather than dashing about and causing a scene. "Has some perks but some big drawbacks too, like how everything you snails say coming...across...sooooo...slooooow, drives me nuts but it could be worse, I could have no powers at all," he offers a smile at that.

"And hmm, I guess it's possible, though if I have any of our family's DNA it's likely Pietro's, I got his hair and powers so I've got to have some part of him in me, right?"
Wiccan Wiccan frowns a little...possibly echoing Tommy's expression before the frown turns thoughtful, "That's only if they let out who we are...and who they are. Maybe they'll want to keep it secret still. I mean, I don't know that I'd mind paparazzi too much but I'd want to know so I wouldn't look like such a schlub." He's wearing his typical jeans and geeky t-shirt. No need for a hoodie today as it's warm.

"You blew up your school? How? Why? And uhm...I haven't told them yet. I will though. I just...it's a lot. I want to sort of deal with it first." His eyebrows lift as he's called a 'snail', "I could try to speed up my speech, but that might be weird for everyone else. That must be hard though." He can only imagine.

There's a grin at the mention of Pietro's DNA, "Well, of course. Technically, we both would, seeing as he's our birth mother's twin brother...but...since we weren't really born, I actually don't know how that would work."
Speed "True, don't know what they'll do, guess it will be up to grandfather and what he thinks is best for Genosha's PR," Tommy says about letting the world know about who they are. "Yeah, the scrutiny is a thing, Andrea Jackson, the pop-star, started going to my school, so, guess I am going to see what we're in for first hand with the paparazzi and stuff," he says with a little bit of a grin. "And from what I hear, looking like a schlub can help, didn't that guy from Harry Potter wear the same outfit for weeks to get rid of the paparazzi because it made any new pics just look like old ones?" He'd done some research.

Tommy frowns, "The school thing was an accident, but basically this teacher was trying to teach me to use my powers, and well, it got out of hand and blew up the gym," he says. "Part of my being a speedster means I can accelerate molecules in things and make them explode, lost control of the process and blew up the gym," the breezy way he says it suggests there might be more to the story he's not telling, but that's what he's going with. "I really don' have many people to tell, but I get it, I can deal with it inside my head, but when I say it out loud it just sounds nuts."

The DNA thing earns a cock of his head and then a smirk, "Okay, fair point, didn't think of it that way, but you know what I mean, I'm basically his clone."
Wiccan "Did he? I don't know if I want to be -that- much of a schlub!" Billy can't help but grin then, "But it's a good idea. I'll have to remember it if it comes to that." Maybe it will...maybe it won't. He'll have to definitely tell his parents before any of that comes to pass though. He'll sip at his drink and listen to the story with a wince, "I had something similar. Although I didn't blow up a gym. Just...singed a bully. Lightning." Because that's magic too?

There's a blink of dark eyes at Tommy's statement about being a clone, "Then what does that make me? Because I'm not a clone of him or of Scarlet Witch."
Speed "Yeah, me too," Tommy says about not sure if he wants to go that far to avoid things. "At the very least it would be cool if the kids at school knew, so I could go out like a rockstar. Not sure about the rest, so I am keeping that Harry Potter trick in mind," he says about their impending fame. "Nice," Tommy grins about the bully. "Leave you alone after that?" he asks. "So, what else can you do, lightning, look back in time..." He leaves that blank to be filled in.

"Good question, I mean, knowing you have magic makes things make more sense, you're like mom that way, though not sure why you look different and y'know, aren't a girl."
Wiccan "Are you still at that school?" If it was an accident maybe he wouldn't get in trouble for it. "And what do you mean 'go out'? Are you dropping out?" Because, as twins, Billy presumes that Tommy is ont he same educational track as he is. "Can't you go out like a rockstar anyhow? I mean, if anyone can, you strike me as someone who could figure out a way to do that."

He shrugs at the mention of the bully, "Yeah...and I ended up switching schools. It was kind of messy." There's another sip of his coffee, "Fly," is an answer. "And magic. Different things, really. I don't know if you can really qualify 'magic'."

The coffee gets scrutinized again before he adds, "Maybe she wanted identical type twins? And...uhh. I like boys. Does that count?"
Speed "God no," Tommy says, "They sent my ass to mutant juvie after I blew up the gym. Which is why," he says looking down at his coffee "I'm still in my senior year of high school," he says. "Bit of a gap in my education what with being locked up. Done in a few weeks though," he gives the thing a dismissive shrug. "And probably could, but being royalty would help."

Tommy nods, "Good point, magic Is magic I guess, still sounds like the better deal than what I got," he says.

"Yeah, guess that's one to ask mom about, the whole twins thing, I had the same colour hair as you before my powers kicked in, so maybe it's just a function of my mutation as much as anything," he says before he nods to that last bit. "Mostly into girls myself, but there's been a boy or two that's been interesting. I try not to label myself."
Wiccan Wiccan winces as Tommy says he's still in High school. "Oh, man. That has to suck. I'm glad you're almost done though...what's next? No more 'mutant juvie', right?" Right? Not that Billy's a Boy Scout but there's a responsibility to another now. "Are you going to be staying in New York? Do you even live in New York? I mean, you could live in Texas and just jog out here for fun, for all I know."

He does try to make a mental note to ask about the twins thing, "Maybe because -she- was a twin?" His eyebrows arch as Tommy admits to interest in both. "Really? Anything now? I'm currently single so I need to live vicariously through someone!"
Speed "Definitely no more mutant juvie," Tommy says, "Beyond that, no idea. I live upstate in Westchester at the school I go to, Xavier's, might do some of the college courses they offer there, or might come down to the city, depends on what's going on with the whole family thing. Like if grandfather invites me to Genosha or something."

"Nothing going on right now, sad to say, boy or girl, been busy catching up on school work and keeping my nose clean. So, sadly it looks like our DOA love lives are another way in which we're identical."
Wiccan Wiccan sighs a little dramatically, "Well, what fun is that?" But then he grins. "If you ever need a place to crash, I just rented a place in Sunnydale. It's a little far from school but I thought it would be nice to get out of the city some and it was cheaper than the dorms. That and I have a nice roommate. I think. I mean, we've only met a couple of times, but she seems nice and I didn't get any weird vibes from her." He tilts his head, "Would you go live in Genosha, do you think? I mean, I never thought I'd live outside New York. It's weird thinking about it and Sunnydale's really...quaint." And magical.
Speed "None, let me tell you," Tommy says with a grin. "Cool. I may take you up on that, Sunnydale, huh? That's in Bludhaven, right? And this roommate, she cute?" he says adding that last with a chuckle.

"Dunno, on one hand, it'd be nice to be in a place where the mutants are the majority on the other, I looked it up, it's really, really small, not sure what there is to do there, especially after living in New York," Tommy says. "And heh, Sunnydale barely counts as out of New York, anywhere you can commute from doesn't count," he says. "Which yeah, for me makes the whole country New York, but my point still stands."
Wiccan "I know...it's still close enough for me to go home on the weekends but not so close that I can go home to dinner every night," although if he really wanted to, he could. He should really set up some sort of 'gate' between his room at his parent's and his room in Bludhaven. Because -nothing- can go wrong with that! Billy then smirks at his new brother, "She's not my type, but yes, I'd say she's cute. If you like the blonde, pretty, girl-type."

Tommy is looked at for a long moment, "What do you -want- to do? I mean, when you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? It's always a good place to start."
Speed Tommy nods, "Good spot then, freedom and back up when you need it," he says. "And hey, totally one of my many types, definitely have to meet her sometime."

"Haven't really thought of it since I got my powers, and before then it was just wanting to be things that looked cool, fireman, cop, whatever. After, my life turned into a giant shit show, so didn't really think about the future so much as how to survive. One of my teachers keeps asking me about what I want for the future, and the truth is, I've got no idea, which is why the Genosha thing is on the table, if grandfather has a path for me, I might take it. Would be dumb not to, right?"
Wiccan Wiccan shrugs again, "I don't know? I mean, if it's a path that you end up liking then sure. It's awesome! But if it's a path that just doesn't feel right or doesn't agree with you, why would you make yourself unhappy to stay on it? But it couldn't hurt to talk to him about it and maybe to see if it fits. If you even like what he pitches. But I don't know that I'd want to be stuck in a tiny country either unless I had a real purpose."
Speed Tommy's phone beeps. "Damn, class in five," he says as he silences the alert. "And you're right, got to at least see what the options are, because yeah, it'd suck to be stuck out there in a job I hate. Which, bleh means more thinking about this stuff," he smirks a little at that. "Anyhow, got to run, but we need to do this again, maybe track down mom as well and ask some questions?" he suggests before downing his coffee in a swallow. "Call you later today? Sort out when we can hang out next?"
Wiccan Wiccan glances at the phone as it beeps and he looks surprised for a moment, "Oh, right. You're not done with school yet. Ugh, that sucks. But yeah, we should definitely try and grab her for some answers too." He'll stand and finish up his own coffee concoction, "Sure, that's be great! I'm still sort of moving my things slowly but surely and I haven't yet figured out what I want to do for the summer, so I'm mostly free."
Speed "Yeah, super lame, I know, graduation can't come soon enough," Tommy says with a shake of his head. He stands too, "Awesome, we'll talk tonight, also, don't do this often, but can totally help you move your stuff, not only fast but can lift like 600lbs," he says with a smirk. "So, we can figure something out. Until then, bro, got to run."

And with that Tommy is gone in a blur of motion.
