Tyler Grant After making sure that Andrea is all settled in Tyler has to give Mason a ride back to his car. It starts off with the walk through the house to the garage, Tyler leading the way. The young man remains quiet and thoughtful at first but it doesn't last very long, "You get a look at the guys that tried to kill Andrea? The cops might want you to try to ID them if they caught anybody." He looks at his pal with concern in his eyes, "They might ask you where you went after the attack, too, if you got spotted there."
Mason     Mason wheels that question through his mind for a few second, following behind. "I dunno," he says. "It happened really fast, people with powers sipping around and people disappearing, it was...really surreal. I don't know if any of those guys even survived." He shoves his hands in his pockets, still wandering along with no shirt. "I guess I'll just tell them I drove Andrea to the hospital in her car. Or...I dunno, how do you explain that? She's not hurt, but she got stabbed...the media would have a field day with this. And...oh shit, the cameras!" He places his hand on his head. "They probably have security cameras!" He seems rather panicked about the thought. "They will be able to ID all of us."
Tyler Grant Their path takes them into the garage, where a number of vehicles await. Pulling off his jacket, Tyler offers it to Mason to wear, "Here you go, man." The youth stays thoughtful for a few seconds, "You could tell them you were scared they'd come back and wanted to get her out of there. You didn't really know any of the other guys so you can't tell them who they are." At his pal's panic over the cameras Tyler looks curious, "You going to be okay? Are the videos going to show something you don't want people to see?"
Mason     Mason frowns, "I don't want those videos getting out," he says hesitantly. He slides the jacket on. "Andrea," her name seems to come a moment later than would be natural to continue. "Andrea killed someone on them. If that gets out, if the world sees her mutation." He shakes his head. "It'll go really bad. People will freak."
Tyler Grant "That's right. People would be scared to death of her," Tyler says with a deep frown as he goes to get a pair of motorcycle helmets, offering one to Mason. Then he heads to his bike and straddles it, pulling his helmet on before starting the engine with a loud rumble. "I'll try to get the security tapes when we get there, try to keep them from getting out." He pauses and says, "I might need to make a stop first if we're doing that and let you off down the street a ways so we won't be connected."
Mason     Mason zips the jacket, and takes the helmet, fitting it over his head. "That works," he says. "If we aren't too late, the cops will be all over the place by now." He gets onto the back of the bike.
Tyler Grant "Yeah, the tapes might not even be there by now," Tyler looks back over his shoulder to make sure Mason's settling in on the motorcycle okay before he starts rolling towards the nearest open garage door. Once he get through it he accelerates and takes the bike down the drive towards the road. He has to speak up now to be heard, but it's not impossible, "I'll get in touch with my brother once we get there, see if he heard anything about video surveillance being found and if they got any suspects yet."
Mason     "I guess there is only one way to find out," Mason says. "I hope your brother is the one who found them if so," He comments. He lets the ride go for a few minutes. "So...Andrea change in front of you a lot?" he asks. "Kinda didn't expect that."
Tyler Grant "He's probably not even there, but if he is we might be able to do something," Tyler tells Mason as they hit the road, riding at a steady pace. He keeps the bike traveling as smoothly as he can, "She doesn't usually, but I saw her do the werewolf thing once before and I guess that she trusts me now." Growing quiet for a moment, Tyler gets thoughtful before he says, "I had to get her out of there in a hurry when it happened. It makes me really angry when people upset her enough that she wolfs out."
Mason     Mason pauses, "Yeah," he says, thinking back to when he caused the same thing. "Well, good for you," he says. "So, you guys goin' out now?" he asks, venturing to be a little nosey. He adds, "Not to pry too much," he tries to defend, which...is exactly what he's doing.
Tyler Grant "We hang out together sometimes, but we're not dating," Tyler says as he drives, navigating through traffic smoothly. "I think I like her, though. She's hot and fun to hang out with." As they stop at a red light the young mutant looks around carefully before he speaks again, "You okay with that, man? I know she's still got some feelings for you, I don't know about how you feel about her."
Mason     "Nah, I'm good," Mason answers. "You do you. She'd probably be better off with you than me. I'm a mess man, just drag her down. She's just too much a girl to realize it, you know?" He shakes his head. "I dunno how I feel, I figure if she finds someone new, it'd be better for everybody. You seem a pretty decent guy, she could use a decent guy. And you would have been way better than me in that fight. I gotta take you up on those lessons. This town is rough."
Tyler Grant "Alright. I just want to make sure I don't hurt either of you guys," Tyler says to Mason. "I'm upset that I wasn't there to help. I probably could have taken those assholes apart." His shoulders shrug as he drives. "I'll start training you whenever you want to learn. BJJ's really good in case you fight someone bigger than you. You take a guy to the ground and his reach and strength don't matter nearly as much. And kickboxing is great if you don't want to get tangled up with your opponent. Kicking a guy in the face can end a fight real fast, too."
Mason     "Yeah, I bet it would," Mason agrees. "I have been in a couple fights, but only when I was drunk," he admits. "I don't even remember if I won or not!" He laughs a little. "I would have been happy for you to take my spot there, but man, you wouldn't believe...that blood." He watches the traffic pass as they roll along. "Movies don't show blood like that," he says. "Really."
Tyler Grant Laughing along with Mason, Tyler keeps the motorcycle rolling steadily along the street, "Any fight you can walk away from is a good one, I've heard. It's still probably better to win, but if you can't win then at least you got away." His helmeted head nods, "It must have been pretty rough. Guys don't usually get too hurt doing jiu jitsu and we wear protective gear for kickboxing so there's not a ton of blood. I just can't imagine how much there must have been."
Mason     Mason nods, pointing up ahead. "My car is right there," he says, "Jeez, there are cops everywhere." He looks over the scene, yellow tape stretched across the coffee shop. "She's gonna need a lot of support, Andrea," he tells Tyler. "I've never been really good at that stuff. It wasn't pretty."
Tyler Grant When he looks over the scene Tyler notes Mason's vehicle and pulls his bike in alongside of it, "Yeah, that's a ton of five-oh." And then his head nods, "I'll stay close to her, make sure that she's doing okay. But I'm here for you, too, man. You need anything just give me a call and I'll be on my way." He shifts the motorcycle into neutral and kicks down the kickstand.
Mason     "Thanks man," he says. "I just gotta go get some alone time, you know?" He glances over the scene with the cops. "I dunno if we can sneak in there right now. I'm way to conspicuous." He pulls the jacket off, handing it back to Tyler. "Do your powers let you dash in like that Speed guy? That'd be really handy right now."
Tyler Grant "I feel ya'," Tyler tells his buddy as he glances over at the cops. "I wish I could do that stuff, but I don't run much faster than most people. I don't think they'd be able to grab me, but I'd definitely be caught on someone's body cam." He remains thoughtful for a second, "I guess I can't do anything about the recordings." Taking back his jacket he slides into it.
Mason     Mason eyes the scene. "We gotta think of something," he says. "You know what precinct that goes to?" He looks exceedingly worried. "We HAVE to get those videos somehow. They CAN'T view them. It'll be really really bad."
Tyler Grant "I'll talk to my brother. He'll know where they're going," Tyler says to Mason, frowning behind the glass of his helmet. "It might be too late now, though. If they're at the precinct I don't know how we're going to get them back, short of trying to sneak in and steal them and by then they may have made copies."
Mason     Mason nervously twitches his left hand, and bounces one foot. "Right," he says absently. He glances at his car. "I gotta go, if you can check with your bro, I'll see if I can figure something out on my end." He starts making his way to the door, as if suddenly he is in a major hurry.
Tyler Grant "Alright, man," Tyler says to Mason with a nod. "I'll give you a call when I've got some more information." He watches to make sure that his friend gets in his car okay before backing out of the space he's in and preparing to hit the road.
