Sara Pezzini     Gordon had been receiving a few....troubling reports lately. He couldn't make heads or tails of it. Normally, he'd say something to Batman and let him handle it, but he had no idea how he ended up with a Detective from the NYPD to 'assist' his department on this particular case.

So, with a brown haired female standing near the doorway into the precint, Gordon had turned on the Batsignal, and had been waiting for a good little while. 'You sure he exists?' the woman says, and Gordon looks at her. "I know you're not from around here, Pezzini, but this one DOES exist....and he's helped out quite a few times."
Batman Batman is there. Instantly. He steps out of the shadows twenty minutes before expected. The Batcomputer told him of the transfer and Pezzini is someone he has been tracking for months. He is stealthy enough and quiet enough that even her senses likely did not see him enter. "He does."
Sara Pezzini     Gordon jumps at the voice and Pezzini has her gun out, pointed at Batman. "Stand down, Pezzini. this...is batman." Gordon says....and Pezzini holds her gun on Batman for another breath before she puts her gun away. "Really shouldn't sneak up on the police." Pezzini says before Gordon stops her. "Batman, Detective Sara Pezzini, NYPD. There's been a strange cycle of things going on, Batman." he says actually handing Batman a folder....and Sara raises an eyebrow at it. "No one has any concrete evidence, other than walking in on some empty sites where there were arcane sort of circles drawn in blood, and people going missing. It seems Pezzini is here for the same thing." he then waves at them both. "You two work together now." And he walks through the door.
Batman Batman nods and simply smiles at the idea of her shooting him. It is a grim smile people rarely like to see then it goes away. "I've been tracking it myself for some time. It is in the occult aspects of the city and I had been considering talking to experts in the league in the matter. This is a lingering problem though, and I dont like where it is going." He looks at Gordon as he leaves, "That's unusual. This one obviously has gotten to him.
Sara Pezzini     "I wouldn't know. I just got here a day ago, and now I'm talking to a Vigilante." Sara says it rather casually, like she's familiar with it. "I'm like going to regret saying this, but...what do you have? Most are way too squeamish to look at blood to even come close to it." She then rubs her face a bit. "Can see why you'd want to look after this place too. The city is beautiful."
Batman Batman arches a brow,"I was unaware of your personal perfection regarding police proceedure Detective." He nods and hands her a file. It is FILLED with information, "I thought you would ask for that. Blood doesnt phaze Gordon. This is something else. It is at that." THAT makes him actually smile. He loves his city.
Sara Pezzini     "Don't get me started." Sara says as she looks at the file. "I'm not perfect, and it's the red tape that keeps someone free in New York. We pin him down, and Red tape lets him go free. Even when we have him with a recorded confession, he somehow gets out of it. So it's....frustrating." She continues to read over the file. "These circles.....they seem arcane in nature.....Ever seen them before?"
Batman Batman grins, "I don't expect perfection. I simply find hypocrisy amusing. And yes, they are. I've been analyizing them for some time and they match some documents that come from very early in the citys history. I would recommend checking the archives. I'll hit the sewers. I've seen some of these before....too often." He seems troubled
Sara Pezzini     "They're sacrificial circles, I know that much." Sara then looks a bit closer.....and she pointedly runs her right hand over the picture. She then tilts her head. "The archives may not give us what we need. Is there a bookstore that's been around for a while? One that might have old musty books, and tomes?"
Batman Batman grunts, "Sacrificial? Some of them go back to the foundation of the city. And yes, Gotham is one of the most literate cities in the country despite its poverty. There are also older stores as well. The best is Mandrakes."
Sara Pezzini     "All right." Sara says, bringing outher phone. "I'll head to Mandrakes.....and you check out the sewers. I'm sure you'll know how to find me otherwise." She then rolls her eyes. "Sorry...I can't tell you what to do. but is there any way I can let you know if I find something?"
Batman Batman nods and hands her a card with his number on it. "That will reach me anywhere. It is untracable. But I wouldnt use a phone that can be traced on your end. Sometimes the wrong kind of people look for those who contact me.
Sara Pezzini     "Right." sara says looking at the card. "I'll see if I can find an old flip phone." She says with a chuckle. "you're more trustworthy than some of the partners that I've had." She then waves to Batman.....and he'll catch a glimpse of a bracelet that is fairly....out of character for Sara, at least how she acts. Three rather large jewels and a strange metal around them, holding them in place.
Batman Batman notes the artifact with interest. He spots it down to the smallest detail and makes a note to research it later. He knows this. He always knows this. He nods politely, and vanishes before she has looked up again.
