Owner Pose
Andrea Having went out for a run, the type in which you run for your life, Andrea is now leaning against the wall of the mansion in the backyard, breathing heavily and covered in sweat. She is still in her sleep shorts and basic sweatshir that she threw on this morning. With a hand pressed against her face, she openly sobs into her arm as she tries to cry out the rush of emotion and adrenaline that has been built up in her the last couple of hours. A few kids give her a wide berth, whispers and glances, but no one engages with her.
Mason     Mason sits on the porch of the back yard, he watched as Andrea finished her run, sitting with elbows on his knees, his hands folded in front of him quietly. He doesn't approach her as she cries, but he doesn't hide either. He turns his gaze down, though, as if it's inappropriate for him to watch her sob.
Andrea It takes a few minutes for Andrea to finally calm down as she brushes her arm across her face, working away salty tears and sweat from her face. With a heavy breath, she turns about and spies Mason in the distance. Growing rigid, she takes another look about, then finally heads towards him, cautiously. "Hey... are you okay?" Her concern for him shows through her voice as she settles down to take a seat next to him.
Mason     "I think that's my line," Mason answers, daring to look as high as Andrea's nose, but not meet her eyes. "I...I am /so/ sorry. I hate saying it, because it doesn't seem to even encompass what I want to say, but I don't know what else...Andrea, you were, you were dead."
Andrea "I know .. twice now in a month I think." Andrea says as she wrings her hands together. "Besides, I wrote a song that caused you to jump out a window. We can say we're even now." She says softly as she she gives a wet sniff, giving another glance to him to try and meet his eyes. She reaches out with a hand, sliding it into his.
Mason     "Even? Andrea, I put a rock through your skull," Mason chokes out the admission. "I did that. He squeezes her hand as she slides it into his. "I'm dangerous. I was so worried about you, when I was the threat the whole time, and I didn't even know it. If Josh hadn't been right down the road...you are right to want to kill me," he says. "I would deserve it. I know you hate me now, you made it clear, and I deserve it, I really do."
Andrea "It was an accident, Mason. We all make those. I ate the neighbors cat once." Andrea says softly as she winds her fingers into his, then leans in against his shoulder. "You are no more dangerous than anyone else. I don't want to kill you. You know I don't. I could never.. want to kill you." Turning her face up into his, she brushes a tear away from her cheek with her free hand. "And you /know/ I don't hate you." She says as she gives him a look. "I'm just .. scared for you. Scared you are going to get hurt. You know... you know how I really feel about you, right?"
Mason     "I think the exact phrase was "I should tear your throat out with my teeth," Mason repeats. "You don't forget when someone says something like that to you," he comments. "You meant it, too. I saw it in your eyes." He wasn't there for everything following that event. "It's okay, I get it," he excuses her. "You don't have to justify it to me."
Andrea There is a look of confusion upon Andrea's face. "I ... I didn't say that to you." She says with a sigh. "The wolf did. The professor had to go into my head and fix me. He had to lock her back down because she was in control. Those were not my words, Mason." She gives his hand another firm squeeze. "I know it's hard to explain.. I was asleep at the time."
Mason     "So now I just have to worry about being murdered the next time you transform," he says. "I guess I'll know when to run." He shakes his head. "Andrea, what do you want from me?" he asks. "You sit here, being forgiving, don't you get what happened? Don't you get how big a boob I am? I'm /actual/ trash." He shakes his head. "You should listen to the wolf more often, she's a better judge of character."
Andrea "You do not have to worry about me eating you. The Professor put things right. I'm /fine/. Also, will you knock it off? I know you feel like shit about what happened but I'm forgiving you. You said you were sorry, it was an accident. You are /not/ trash." Reaching out, Andrea tugs his face forward by the chin so that she can stare into his eyes. "Mason. You are not trash. You made a mistake. We learn from them and we move forward. Got it? I want you to take a moment, then look me in the eyes and tell me that you understand."
Mason     Mason's blue eyes take a moment to move up to meet Andrea's. He just stares for a moment. "You really are somethin'," he admits. "Yeah, I got it." At that moment, he reaches the limit on how long he can maintain eye contact, and he lets his gaze drop again. "I don't want to ever make that mistake again," he comments. "I...I gotta go talk to that Professor guy," he says, trying to get out of the conversation. "I can maybe talk to you later, okay?"
Andrea "I know I'm something. You're a lucky guy." Andrea says as she gives his hand another squeeze, then leans in to kiss his cheek, followed by a light nuzzle against it with her nose. "The Professor is a great guy and I'm sure you will have a good talk. Go into it open minded. I'll see you later for dinner." She rises up and smiles, then head off for a shower and a change of clothes.
