Donald Pierce Evening is falling on Xavier's School. The rain from earlier has stopped and the heat is letting up. People are starting to come back outside.

A black Tahoe pulls up the driveway and rolls to a stop near the doors to the school. A very tall, blond woman steps out of the driver's side. She looks to be in her late 30's, is tall, slim and is in a charcoal great pant suit, low heels and a blue jacket with FBI written across it in several places. A dark skinned middle-aged man, starting to round out, steps out of the passenger side. He is in suit pants, dress shoes and a white shirt, also with an FBI jacket.

Behind them, a new looking Ford panel van pulls up. Along the side in big letters is the NeoGen textmark. A man with grey black hair, a sharp nose and glasses climbs out of the driver's seat. He is in slacks, dress shoes, a stripped shirt and a white NeoGen jacket.

The three come together beside the Tahoe and look around, getting a feel for the place. Then they start walking together towards the stairs, the first adult they see.
Speed Tommy is sitting on the grass when the cars roll up. His attention shifts there immediately, especially when the blonde in the suit comes out of the Tahoe.

Tommy reaches into his pocket for his wallet, checks the ID, shifts some cards around and then stuffs it back in his pocket.

From there, he just sits, watches and waits.
Tyler Grant After getting in some good exercise today Tyler went off to grab a shower and get dressed in something comfortable. He's wearing black sweat pants, a black t-shirt and flip flops when he makes his way out the front door of the building, "Yeah, so can I start bringing this friend of mine by when I clean up at closing? We want to use the heavy bags." A break for the person on the other side of the conversation to talk before Tyler says, "Oh man! That's great! Thank you so much. Yeah, I'll totally clean up after them. You pay me to clean the place, right?" A bit of laughter, then he says, "Later, man!" and hangs up.

As the vehicles approach Tyler watches them, finding himself staring at the van with the NeoGen markings for a few seconds. He nimbly descends the stairs and gets out of the way by the time the visitors have left their cars, heading over towards Tommy, "Hey man. You know what this is about?"
Jubilee "Ohhh boy..." Jubilee utters under her breath as she pushes the door open to step outside. She is watching the approaching three, and shifts her eyes side to side, looking for any others who might be coming behind them. "Aren't there supposed to be four of you guys? Did Death follow behind ya? Or was he running late?" Jubilee quips as she skips every other step coming down toward them. Dressed in a crisp white sundress adorned with embroidered red cherries and matching red heels, she at least looks the part for once. Her hair is neatly coiffed into a pinup style updo, and she smiles in as welcoming an expression as she can offer.
Donald Pierce The tall blond woman smiles brightly at Jubilee's quips. "We left Pestilence behind," she says. She is pretty in that statuesque way. She holds out a hand. "I'm Special Agent Vanessa Worth. This is my partner, Special Agent Terrance Greene, and Dr. John van Buren. Are you one of the staff here? We need to speak to someone about something important."
Speed Tommy watches the people from the cars come slowly. He has time to take in the suits, the demeanor, hell, if he wanted he could run over rifles their pockets and check their car registration, but, he's not THAT dumb. He does clock the logo on the van.

Tyler is met with an upnod. "I think someone is checking up on the fire," he says, tone worried. He chucks his head at he van logo,. "We weren't tailed right?"

He's already planning routes to get Ms Grey or Ms. Frost if that's the case. For now though he stays cool, but stands as Jubilee approaches the trio.
Tyler Grant "I'm pretty sure I would have noticed a tail. I did drive like a maniac for a minute," Tyler replies to Tommy quietly as he studies the trio of strangers that speak to Jubilee, frowning at them. "Maybe the car had LoJack on it, though." That thought makes his frown deepen even further.
Jubilee "Well, then, the constitution of our student body thanks you for your foresight and consideration," Jubilee offers brightly. Her brass goggles were removed from atop her head before she exited, and hang from red satin bow of her sash at the small of her back. "I am Jubilation Lee, and as you've caught us after hours, I am afraid that I'm the only staff you'll find here. I'm certain I can accommodate your questions, however. What's so important on a Saturday night that it affects your concerns in such a manner?
Kaydin     Kaydin blurs to the other teenagers and gestures to the three. "Who brought the suits?" He asks as he watches goons and adjusts his pack on his back and watches was Jubilee deal with them. "Which is worse, three suits or the fact Professor Lee has to act all nice."
Donald Pierce "The FBI never sleeps! We're with the Advanced Technologies Division," she says and offers Jubilee a business card. "I'm sure you've seen the news, about the attack on NeoGen two days ago? As you can imagine, we have been /very/ busy following up on that. Do you happen to know if any of your students were at NeoGen during the attack?" she asks.

Terrance looks around while his partner talks, apparently having taken Jubilee's measure and deciding she was not about to attack Vanessa. The blur of motion to one side catches his attention and he looks towards the three boys sitting together. His head cocks to one side slightly, and his eyes narrow.

Dr. van Buren looks extremely irritated by all this. He stands with his arms crossed, drumming the fingers of one hand on his opposite forearm.
Jubilee Jubilee tilts her head, brow furrowed, as she looks around at the students present. "I can only assume that this is a standard protocol, and that you've followed up similarly with every school in the greater tri-state area? Or is there some credible reason to suspect that someone present was a member of this academy?" She shifts her weight from one foot to the other, a subconscious display of displeasure.

"Because I can assure you that if we at Xavier's had any reason to believe that any of our students were involved, the proper authorities would have been notified the moment the suspicion came to light."
Speed "Okay, fair point," Tommy says of the driving. "And I know they couldn't follow me." The LoJack thing, though, Tommy hadn't thought about that.

"Damn," he mutters.

Kaydin's arrival is met with a frown. "Chill with the powers, the cops are here."
Tyler Grant As Kaydin shows up Tyler looks at him and gives him a nod, "What's up, man?" His attention goes back to those same feds, the young man trying to listen in a little bit if at all possible. As the one FBI agent looks their way Tyler upnods at the guy, being polite and trying to look like he's not hiding anything. Glancing at Tommy he shrugs, "Too late to worry about it now."
Kaydin     Kaydin smiles at the man and nods at him. He then looks to the two with him. "My brother wanted to be a fed for a while. When he failed the psych exam it sorta made him a little more tolerable." He says reaches into a pocket and pulls out a phone and snaps a few pictures of the three.
Donald Pierce "Oh, don't misunderstand, we don't think anyone here is a suspect," Vanessa says, still smiling brightly. "It's just, you see, during the attack at NeoGen some /very/ expensive equipment went missing. Thankfully, the equipment has GPS devices with it and we got a few pings. The strange thing is, the last two pings we got, came from right here. Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. So we're wondering if anything turned up here.... Three large black Pelican cases?"

"For the love of... They're /here/, there were no other signals. They died here," Dr. van Buren says sharply. Vanessa's bright demeanour disappears and she shoots the man a severe look. He huffs and looks away. Then Vanessa's smile returns.

"Sorry about that. Dr. van Buren is very anxious to get his company's property back. We all are."

Terrance saunters over the boys. "How're y'all doing tonight?" he asks them, eyeing each in turn.
Jubilee Jubilee's demeanor changes at that assertion. "In that case, I'd be more than happy to take this information to Professor Xavier myself. I can assure you that we will conduct a thorough search of the grounds and notify you immediately if we find anything. Can this number be called 24 hours a day?" she inquires, looking at the business card.
Kaydin     Kaydin watches as the man approaches. "Can we help you out sir?" He asks as he watches the man and he glances back to Jubilee and the others. He watches the man and waits for his response to his question.
Speed "Just fine, officer," Tommy answers with an Eddie Haskel smile for Terrance. "How can we help you today?"

Kaydin's remarks are met with a nod and the smile is kept up for appearances.
Donald Pierce "If you call that number and tell them you want to talk to me about NeoGen, they'll put you right through, any time," Vanessa replies. "What Professor Xavier does is so well respected in the community, and we wouldn't want to do anything to disrupt the school. So any help you can give us would really be appreciated." Vanessa holds out her hand to Jubilee with a smile.

"What?! No!" Dr. van Buren protests. "This is a billion dollars worth of research, we're not just leaving.. How do you know they're not hiding it? Or involved?"

Vanessa's smile freezes on her face. "Dr. van Buren, we talked about this, now if...."

"No, you listen to me! This is a state of the art..."

"Doctor!" Vanessa interjects sharply. "That's /enough/. We are leaving."

Dr. van Buren spins on his heel and stalks off to the van. He slams the door shut and starts backing down the driveway.

"I'm sorry about that. Please, call if you hear anything," Vanessa says again.

Terrance pulls at his slacks slightly and squats down so he is not looking down at the boys. He swipes at his nose with his thumb and nods slightly. "Y'know, I saw some real interestin' video from the lobby at NeoGen. Real interestin'. Don't tell anyone I'm sayin' this, but... good job. Y'all saved a lotta lives in there. Just don't be doin' that kind of thing anymore, huh? It's dangerous. 'Specially you," he says and points at Tyler. "Seen some real interestin' video from Chase Bank, too."

He looks over toward his partner when Dr. van Buren has his outburst. Then he looks back to the boys. He fishes a card out of his pocket and holds it out to Tommy.

"You hear anything about some missin' plastic briefcases, you gimme a call, huh? No questions asked, just want 'em back."

With that he stands up. "Y'all have a good night," he says and then walks back to Vanessa. He nods to her, and they start to head back to the Tahoe to drive away, unless stopped.
Jubilee "Oh, of course. You can count on our full cooperation." Jubilee would call her by name as she shakes her hand, but she's still trying to think of how many fudgecicles a billion dollars would buy. Given her dyscalculia, early estimates are as high as seven hundred. "Thank you for your diligence."

She would have asked for credentials. Maybe she should have. But they weren't getting any more information either way. And a plastic badge is easy enough to obtain. She ought to know...
Speed Tommy sort of boggles at the billion dollar price tag on that stolen tech. But he manages to keep things cool and keep on smiling.

"I'd have to have done it in the first place to do it again," Tommy says to Terrance. "But I'm not the run into danger sort."

He hoped the subtext would be good enough for the agent and he takes the offered card. "Thanks, I'll do that," he says, producing his wallet and slipping the card inside. Tommy was no kind of narc, but it was handy to have a number like that in your pocket.

"Night," Tommy says to they head back to their vehicles. He moves over to join Jubilee. "Well, that was something," he says.
Donald Pierce The two special agents climb into the Tahoe and drive back down the driveway. The vehicle flashes a right signal, turns in that direction and leaves.
Jubilee "That was...somethin', yeah. I mean really. Come up here all flashin' those...no badges. And expect to get anywhere with me? They're not gettin' anything on MY watch." She winks at Tommy and gives him a half-hug. "I dunno what they hoped they'd get on a Saturday night, but I'm sure that wasn't it." Jubilee walks down the steps, untying her goggles from her sash and putting them back up atop her head.

"Sooooo, class? What have we learned here tonight?"
Speed Tommy's a little surprised by the half-hug at first but goes with it giving one back. "Glad you got our back, other places I've been, way less cool."

When asked what he's learned Tommy smiles, "Check stuff for GPS tags, because we live in the future?" he says with a smirk. "I don't know if you know much about the fire the other day, but, the stuff the nerd was looking for, we totally have it."
Jubilee Jubilee nods and starts to reply, but censors herself in the interest of decorum. Which is probably a first for her...ever. "I know what I need to know. I'll look into it. Don't go uh..telling everything you know. All right?"
Speed Tommy glances around, Tyler had been there, and well okay, Kaydin seemed unable to keep his mouth shut. "Fair point," Tommy allows.

"Anyhow, glad you stood up for us though, seriously. And I promise, I'll keep my mouth shut in the future."
