Deanna Dove Peregrine left Star Labs again, running. She isn't really sure hwat her goal is - she has these powers - she has to build a new life. Perhaps she can start a mechanic business, with the 'fastest repair times' possible. Then she hears gunshots. She changes course and sees a mugging in progress - a woman is shot, bleeding from her gut - a life-threatening injury. In 'slow time' she goes to the mugger, punches him hard in the stomach and throatchops him, takes back the woman's purse. It'd look like a blur of electrical motion - the mugger just collapses and the woman's purse is back. A woman in a blue costume complete with a helmet that looks oddly like what a pilot would wear with glowing stripes is kneeling by her, trying to save her life. "Oh no, don't die on me..." she whispers softly. "I saved you..."
Mon-El     Lar had seen the woman getting mugged from a distance off, but had sort of hesitated to get involved as it didn't seem to be anyone massively powerful making trouble and he knows he can easily inadvertantly hurt someone who is...well, squishy. Unlike Kal, he did not grow up on this planet.

So when Peregrine rushes to the rescue, he feels a measure of relief. Better to let less heavy hitters to handle these situations. Or people who just have better control. But when he realizes the woman was shot, relief gives way to guilt. At any rate he joins Peregrine in a flash, using his x-ray vision to examine the victim. "Grife...it went into her spine. She's going to bleed out but moving her might cause even more damage..."
Deanna Dove Peregrine blinks as someone else just shows up out of the blue. Someone she doesn't know. "Yes, I know," she states softly. Fortunately the woman is unconscious. "There is only one course of action. Any attempt to move her will paralyze her. If that doesn't kill her, the blood loss will." She sighs softly. "I was trained as a field medic. And this is a no-win scenario. I could carry her to the hospital and be there in a split second - but it'd tear her apart." She then slowly pulls off her gloves and tucks them in her belt and gently strokes the poor woman's face. She slides the visor up covering her eyes, and detaches the mask covering her face, letting it swing to the side. "If you can hear me - we're doing what we can to save you..." She then frowns as she jerks her hand back. "That felt weird... there was some kind of resonance there..."
Mon-El     Lar sighs. "I know, or else I would have taken her there already." He gets out a comm or phone and calls 911. "I've contacted the local emergency services, I'm afraid that's all we can do for now."

He frowns when she speaks of some kind of strange resonance. "Resonance?" he repeats. "Like vibration or something?"
Deanna Dove Peregrine shakes her head. "No - not a vibration. I'm a speedster - I know about vibration. This was something else. For a moment - I felt a pain in my back." She frowns softly. "I never heard of the Flash doing this... but maybe I was feeling a shadow of her pain. I have to see what happens." She then puts her hands on the woman's face and closes her eyes. And... suddenly, the injured woman stops looking pale, as she is rapidly being healed somehow - the bullet is pushed out and rolls to the side. Peregrine arches her back and screams in agony, a bloodstain appearing on the stomach of her costume, exactly where it did on the other woman as she collapses to the ground.
Mon-El     Lar frowns, just as confused as she is on what exactly is happening. "A pain? Wait, are you sure--" Too late. She's already doing it. He watches with curiosity as the woman is suddenly fully healed--only to find that the injury has been transferred to Peregrine. He gasps. "M-ma'am, I...I think the injury was transferred to you somehow. I--" The Daxamite finds himself panicking somewhat, unsure of what to do. As strong and powerful as he is, he doesn't have healing powers. But one thing -does- come to mind. He takes a deep breath. "Okay, this is going to hurt. But I have to stop the bleeding." Aiming a very narrow, low-intensity laser blast at the wound, he attempts to cauterize it in order to at least prevent her from bleeding out. Then, hopefully, the paramedics can take care of her when they get here.
Deanna Dove Peregrine just groans softly as she in a panic secures her facemask and visor even as she spasms in pain, shrieking again at the heatvision. "I... heal... fast... the Speed... Force..." She shakes her head. "Get me... out... of here. I cannot go to the hospital..." She has electricity wreathing around her as she is trying to get up, but falls again, eyes rollign up as she almost passes out from the pain.
Mon-El     Phew, at least the bleeding is stopped. "Oh, that's right..." Lar remembers that conventional hospitals probably won't be able to do anything for someone like her. At her request, he picks her up as gently as possible and flies up into the sky, starting to head toward STAR labs. If anyone can help her, they should be able to, right? If only he'd acted sooner...
Deanna Dove Peregrine murmurs, "I... don't want certain people knowing... that I'm a superhero now..." she whispers weakly as she murmurs, "Beside... better me... than her. I'll be back on my feet in a day or two. That woman wouldn't have made it... damn, it hurts."
Mon-El     "You're right. That was the honorable thing to do." Lar says with a nod as he floats above the city with Peregrine. "Um...so where do you want me to take you then?" he asks, feeling somewhat awkward now.
Deanna Dove Peregrine states, "Star Labs. They helped me after my accident that gave me my powers." She sighs. "You can call me Peregrine." Kinda obvious - the name's written on her speedster costume. "Who are you? You have... a very interesting and familiar skillset. There's only a very few I know who can both fly like that AND are fast like that... and they hail from Krypton."
Mon-El     Star Labs it is. Lar nods. "Right, I was headed there anyway." he says, and continues in that direction. It doesn't take long, even though he doesn't fly at top speed. He touches down before the front doors to the building. "It's nice to meet you, Peregrine. My name is Lar Gand."

"Heh, yeah...Krypton. Of course. I'm from Daxam, a Kryptonian colony world. We have similar abilities, but different weaknesses."
Deanna Dove Peregrine just sways slowly, frowning as she looks down at herself. "I hope blood comes out of this thing - it took a lot of research to make this costume..." She sighs softly. "So you're like Kryptonians but... a bit different? That's fair. I'm feeling a bit better... do you want to get a bite to eat? I'm STARVING."
Mon-El     Lar chuckles. "Hydrogen peroxide. From what I hear, it works like a charm on everything when it comes to blood stains."

He nods. "Yeah, we're not allergic to Kryptonite like they are." Though he doesn't tell her what their weakness is. Not that it actually applies to him anyway.

"Wow, that really was fast." he remarks when she seems to have recovered quickly. "Are you sure you don't need to rest?"
Deanna Dove Peregrine nods. "I need to rest..." she whispres softly. "But I need to eat. I have a VERY fast metabolism, and it's being strained... by... the healing. I won't be up to running for some time..."
Mon-El     "I see." Lar nods. "I'm glad you're going to be all right. It was...nice to meet you, Peregrine. I'm sorry I didn't act earlier. I should have." He stares at the ground a moment. "I hesitated and I shouldn't have. Thanks for inviting me to hang out, but I should go." And with that he flies off, zooming back up into the sky.
Deanna Dove Peregrine sighs softly as she shakes her head as she hobbles into Star Labs, and leaning against a wall, heads to the cafeteria and flops down heavily. And orders... everything.
