Jason Todd Gotham City, it's been warm, but rainy for the last three days, the sky perminantly grey and overcast, but at least it's keeping the smog down. Sitting on the sofa of a local Jitters, Jason Todd pulls out his cellphone, his skin much more tanned than it was the last time he saw her having spent the last several weeks at a private tropical island. "Hey, back in town, You buy the coffee, I'll supply the knifes? Up for a little 'defence class'?" comes the text message from a purported dead man..
Carrie Kelley Kestrel is perched on a rooftop watching after nothing much. It was just a routine patrol route that she'd been set on by the Birds, to help train her up. This was more of a 'let's see how good you are at staying out in crappy weather' as opposed to an actual training. Sighing softly she stares out at the rain... Only to glance down as she feels her phone go off on vibrate. It wasn't the usual way that the Birds contacted her so she risks looking at it. A single eyebrow rises at the text.

"Well, well, the mysterious Mr. Todd. Hm." She shrugs, and shoots a text back suggesting a coffee shop nearby along with a little smiley face emoji, and mention of needing a break from studying. After that she informs the Birds she's breaking watch to tend to a personal matter she'd been investigating. Getting the 'okay' she slips off to change back into her civies to meet up with Jason.

It's not long before Carrie slips out of an alley tugging her jacket tighter around herself with hands stuffed in her pockets as she half jogs down the street keeping her head low against the rain. The cafe sign was already in view but just a bit down the street.
Jason Todd      Jason Todd isn't far from the coffee shop, but he is farther than Carrie. Slipping onto the black, over powered motorcycle that he uses for getting around on the ground, Jason takes off shooting down the roads well above the stated speed limit, his bike roaring loud enough to be heard several blocks away.

Barreling past Carrie as she jogs towards the coffee shop, he brings the bike into a sideways slide leaning away from the slide his right foot catching the ground as he sheds momentum before expertly pulling into a near by parking space, still wearing a 20 years old rock band T-shirt and those torn jeans, he takes off the solid black clamshell helmet and unzips his leather jacket as he locks the helmet down to the bike..
Carrie Kelley "Show off," Carrie calls out by means of greeting the raven haired guy she'd sparred with in the past. Her hands rub together a time or two as she ducks beneath the canopy of the coffee shop to get out of the rain. Her hands run back over her hair after to shake out as much water as she can with a sigh. "And here I am dealing with public transit. I ought to get a moped or something. Let's get in and warm up before I turn into an icicle out here."
Jason Todd      Jason Todd smirks.. "IF this is gonna turn you into a popcicle, you won't want a moped or a bike." he says motioning to the object in point before pointing down to his jeans which are soaked completely through.."You'ed die driving across gotham in a little vespa." he says reaching to hold the door open to let Carrie on through. "So, you found something better than back door dojo's teaching girls how to yell 'help' at the right tone to get Superman to swoop in and save them?" he asks
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley rolls her eyes in exasperation at that particular little remark. "Yeah, thankfully," she responds with a chuckle of amusement. "To be honest I figured you skipped town completely. Most don't come back once they get out of Gotham," she points out with a playful grin as she moves to the counter to place an order. "Machiato, extra shot. Thanks." Looking back toward Jason her head tips toward the counter. "You're up."
Jason Todd      Jason Todd glances at the menu, with all the various options... "Cappuchino, no flavorings, just an original Italian Cappuchino, use cream instead of milk, " he orders pulling out his wallet to pay for the two drinks. "Ohh, Gotham's my home.. I could leave any time I want, actually spent the last bit in much warmer climates. Just got back this morning." he explains "Table, or fireplace?" he asks motioning to the over stuffed chairs by said furnature.
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley grabs a bottle of simple syrup to pour into hers. It's the only additive she actually uses though to sweeten the sharp bitterness of the coffee. "Fireplace. Might dry us off some. I feel like I've been soaked for hours instead of a quick run in the rain." Well, she HAD, but she wasn't about to admit that either.

Cradling her coffee between her hands she heads for the chairs by the fireplace to claim a seat for herself. "So other than Gotham being home, what brings youb back? I think you've got the 'Snow Bird' thing backwards. You're supposed to leave when the weather is shitty and come back when..." She pauses lifting to take a sip of her coffee. "Nevermind, this IS Gotham after all."
Jason Todd      Jason Todd smirks and takes a seat further from the fireplace to let her take the much warmer chair. "Yeah, but it's about to be Halloween, and no city on /earth/ does Halloween like Gotham does it." he says with a grin. "Besides, I seem to remember promising to get with you again, for this, and some hard...calisthenics" he says with a wink taking a long pull of his unadulterated cappuchino..
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley crosses one leg over the other giving a little bounce of her foot as she raises an eyebrow. "Halloween is fun, yeah. I should do something this year. Usually I'm working or passing out candy." This causes her to think glancing off into the distance a moment. "Hm. Sounds like you've got something in mind already."
Jason Todd      Jason Todd smirks and shrugs.. "maybe, that all depends on if you've got a sexy costume to wear.. Sexy Nurse, Sexy Librarian, Sexy Batman.. It /is/ the season.." he says with a snicker.. "But I was thinking, you and I could go to some party somewhere, I'm sure the campus is going to have half a dozen we could just crash.." he says still grinning..
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley sticks her tongue out at the very thought. "I'm not sure how you get 'sexy Batman' in a costume, but I probably don't want to know, either. I'm more disturbed by the Joker and other costumes that are around out there. Eeugh." She shudders a moment at that, shaking her head before casting him a grin. "I could do a few parties though. Since you're back in the city and all, it might be fun to do."
Jason Todd      Jason Todd grins.. "Well, tight spandex or if you're going for authenticty leather on a hot female body is /already/ kinda sexy.. then you add in the 'ohh, both pant legs tore off.. and my midriff is strategicly torn open to show my belly button piercing' and you get sexy batman." he says with a smirk.. "I think you'ed look hot as a little Batman-ette.." he says with a saucy wink. "unless you like pixie shorts, then you could go as a sexy robin.." he adds with a snort of amusement.. "That's what we do.. You get yourself a hot robin costume, and I'll get myself a batman outfit.. " he says with a grin.. "But only if you promise not to stare at my ass in tight leather all night." he adds cheekily..
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley raises an eyebrow at that as she considers it. With a faint snort she gives a nod. "You're on. I'll do Robin if you do Batman... but only if you figure out how to make a decent batarang. That's got to be a key prop to things. I am not wearing short-shorts though," she adds with a wag of her finger. "Not with how chilly it gets at night. Nope. Pants. Or at least leggings," she reasons as she starts to think this over. Oh man.
Jason Todd      Jason Todd smirks, reaching into his jacket to pull out a pair of thin metal batarangs. "You mean like these?" he asks rolling one over his knuckles before offering it to Carrie. "You wear the pixie shorts and I'll hook you up with some of the classic robin disks." hey says as a counter.. "Besides, we'll be inside, we're not going to be running door to door asking for candy." he adds.
Carrie Kelley "How the hell..." Carrie begins as she leans forward in her seat to reach for one of them looking, well, surprised to say the least. Her eyes roll just a bit at that and she sits back again with a sigh. "Robin discs, huh? That's a new one to me," she adds while her coffee mug is raised to sip staring at him over it. That crossed foot of hers bounces again lightly. "Fine, we'll see what type of costume I can put together in time anyway. The really big parties will be this weekend so it's not like I've got a lot of time."
Jason Todd      Jason Todd tilts his head "Robin-rangs? IT's the little robin symbol disks that Robin uses cause he isn't Batman." he says simply "Don't tell me you've lived in gotham your entire life and didn't notice that?" he says with a grin. "Keep it.. found that one down an alley way about three days after Batman stopped some muggers.. You can find Batarangs, and all all over the place if you know where to look, or know people who know you're looking." he explains..
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley turns the batarang over in hand a time or two considering it with a shake of her head. "Man, this is just... I guess that makes sense though. I never thought to really go looking for any. And no, I never heard of that," she adds giving Jason a look. "I don't exactly stalk them you know."
Jason Todd      Jason Todd nods.. "You keep your eyes open, or know a guy at the GCPD in charge of evidence disposal and you can find /a lot/ of gear not just from Bats and Batboy, but from the others too." he says with a shrug. "I don't think it stalking so much as just having access to useful gear.. " he explains taking a long pull from his drink. "Cliff climbing becomes a lot easier when you're able to use a grapnel gun to get to a hard to reach spot." he says with a chuckle..
Carrie Kelley Carrie Kelley smirks faintly. "Riiight. Stalker," she teases with a laugh. "Okay, okay. So we're going to some parties. Much as I would love to stay to catch up I've got this stupid paper to finish for class." A glance to her watch earns a sigh. "And not much time to sleep tonight if I don't get it done soon. I should get going. Thanks for the coffee."
Jason Todd      "See ya greeneyes." he says with a grin, finishing his coffee and making his way out to his waiting bike.. "Don't be a stranger." he adds as he parts ways at the door slipping his helmet on and starting his bike.. With a single loud roar he's speeding off into the city..
