Owner Pose
Johnny Blaze It was but two days after Bullseye's attack. Jimmy's body was given to his family after Johnny had called the police to report the death and thankfully, Mercy and Johnny were automatically not suspects so they were not needed. Johnny spent a few hours answering questions, but he immediately got Mercy into bed so she could rest and recover.

Today, Johnny seems to have fallen asleep lightly in a chair, his head resting next to Mercy's shoulder, with his hand holding hers. He appears to have fallen asleep on a book of some kind. But otherwise? Johnny is out like a light. But, he's playing nurse, so...he's probably been lacking in the sleep department as well because of his worry.
Mercy Thompson Mercy Thompson's dressed in a heavy terry cloth robe of dark green and pyjamas...easy to pull on without moving her shoulder. The wound was deep, but fortunately uncomplicated. So the emergency room stitched her up, the ortopedic surgeon fitted her with a brace to keep the shoulder immoblized, and sent her home. The painkillers are pretty good too.

Mercy lets the book she'd been reading flop down, a history book "Paul Revere's Ride" by David Hacket Fisher. She looks at Johnny and shakes her head and then works on disentangling her hand so she can get up.
Johnny Blaze Johnny eventually stirs as Mercy tries to unintangle herself. "hm? what?" Johnny rubs his eyes before he looks to Mercy, letting herh and go free as he stirs to alertness. "Hey, are you alright? I can make you breakfast if you want." He looks at her shoulder, taking a moment to check on her shoulder to make sure the wound didn't reopen while she slept or rested.
Mercy Thompson Mercy rolls her eyes. "I don't think you can go to the bathroom for me." She's a little snappish. Johnny would have found out by now she's not a good patient, not even a little bit. She gets up, slowly, hissing as she instinctively moves her shoulder. "It's -not- your fault Johnny. Not Jimmy, not me."
Johnny Blaze Johnny takes the snap in stride, not looking insulted by it, but he'll try and help her move in a way so that she doesn't irritate the wound on her shoulder. "I wasn't here to help you until I was too late to stop him from entering the garage in the first place. It //is// my fault." Johnny snapped back, apparently irritated with how terrible a patient she is.
Mercy Thompson "B...hogwash," Mercy says, now upright and heading for her bathroom. "No...back to the original word. Bullshit. -You- are responsible for what YOU do, not what nutcases with targets on their foreheads do." She emphasizes the "yous" with finger jabs at his chest. Any reply will be to the bathroom door she closes behind herself. Firmly.
Johnny Blaze Johnny tilted his head. //HOGWASH?!// are they kids now? But, he does appreciate her lack of cursing...before she drops the bull on him and he looks at her with a soft exhale, taking the finger jabs to his chest as he looked her in the eyes. Clearly she was angry and traumatized...and he's about to resond before he's met with a door slam. Johnny just sighs and starts walking downstairs, and momentarily, she'll start smelling bacon.
Mercy Thompson Mercy ends up downstairs, drawn by the smell of bacon. "I won't apologize for what I said," she says, in calmer tones. "But I will say I'm sorry I snapped it at you." She starts the coffee going, she can do that one armed. At least it's her left arm in a sling. "I am not traumatized. What I am is angry. And I will get back at that, person. You, however, are not responsible for me, or what happened to me. I'm glad you came and sure, I wish you'd arrived sooner. But it is not your fault. Hear that? Not. Your. Fault. That's on Bullseye's hands."
Johnny Blaze Johnny is angrily making an omelet, before Mercy comes downstairs and apologies for snapping at him. "It's fine." Johnny blames himself severely for not making it in time to save Jimmy. In fact, he's royally pissed off about the whole thing. But, he looks at her as she starts coffee going. "No, you're not. //I'm// going too. One throw and you could have died. One. He can't hurt me unless he goes after you." Johnny's being smart but he's also being protective. "I already lost one friend today." He sets down an omelet with some bacon on the side where she usually sits before he goes to wash his hands. Apparently he's not hungry.
Mercy Thompson A coffee cup goes down where Johnny's been sitting and Mercy settles in at the omelette. "So what do you mean to do," Mercy asks after getting settled. "Besides have a snit fit."
Johnny Blaze "I'm going to kill him." Johnny says simply enough, before he plants his knuckles on the counter, taking a deep breath before coffee is presented to him. He seems to calm down as Mercy sits down next to him.
Mercy Thompson "I need a bigger gun," Mercy grumbles as she starts on the breakfast. "I hit him at least twice. And I'd like to know how he dodged the head shots." It's an oblique way of saying she's ok with his goal. "If you don't stop fussing over me I may just shoot you with the Marlin. You're driving me a little nuts Johnny."
Johnny Blaze Johnny looks to Mercy. "He wore top grade body armor. Revolver shots arn't going to do much against armor like that unless you hit a sweet spot." He sips his coffee before he rubs his forehead lightly. "You're hurt and I care about you. It's part of the job description to you know...fuss."
Mercy Thompson "Not any more it's not," Mercy tells him. "My patience with fussing has run out." The food is quickly gone, apparently she's found he appetite. "If you keep it up there will be ummm, consequences. Ask the Marrok sometime about peanut butter."
Johnny Blaze Johnny looks to Mercy with a small frown as she tells him fussing about her isn't in the job description. "You sound hesitant." he teases her. "I don't want to fight your werewolf clan."
Mercy Thompson "Oh, they won't fight you over that. They might warn you though," Mercy says, "About me and getting on my bad side." She sounds in better humor though. "Peanut butter would never do for Bullseye."
Johnny Blaze Johnny chuckles. "Well, I like being on your good side." he lightly rests his hand on hers briefly to show sincerity before he lightly pulls it away. "You're right, he gets Jelly." a little joke
Mercy Thompson "Don't be silly," Mercy says. "You're safe enough, though, from me. " She finishes off the coffee. "I should be getting cleaned up and dressed though." She gets up, "THanks for breakfast Johnny. I'll be down in a bit." She heads upstairs.
Johnny Blaze "Alright, take your time and don't hurt yourself." Johnny grins before he watches her go upstairs.
