Owner Pose
Captain Britain Brian Braddock was in his study. He wore a blue sky blue jumper, which faded to a dark blue as it went from his shoulders to his waist. Underneath that, he had on a white collared dress shirt, and simple navy trousers. When he stood, it had the effect of accentuating his height, rather than downplaying it. Clearly, he still needed help when deciding on his daily attire.

Standing up from the desk where his laptop sat, a file with an engineering diagram, he walked over to the fireplace, which lit up his figure and face with the flickers of red and orange. He looked into the fire in quiet contemplation, and then his eyes seem to look forward, not at anything in particular, just holding there for a moment, and without any gesture, he said in a calm and even voice, "how long have you been standing there?"
Psylocke The dark figure slips out of the shadows. With the fireplace ablaze, the dark areas of the room were even more dark while the light danced and played otherwise. The shadowy form steps into the room, eyes solid yellow, the Crimson Dawn tattoo over her eye visible.

A moment later, she solidifies into her normal form. As normal as it gets now, with her change in form. No longer does she look like her twin but the inside is always the same.

"How did you know?" Betsy asks, obviously amused.
Captain Britain Brian never looked that much like Betsy, though her twin, they were fraternal twins, two eggs, two sperm, same womb. He was her brother, he just happened to have the same birthday as her, and everything that came along with it, but he was one person, and she was a very different one. She was just more different now.

"I am at one with the universe. I see all things..." and then he broke into laughter, as he was full of shite about that. In his mind, he had seen her reflection in the window." He swiftly moved towards her, reaching out with both hands to pick her up, lifting her into the air, and twirling, "it is good to see you sis."
Psylocke As he picks her up, Betsy laughs and rests her hands on his shoulders. Then she leans in and gives a huge hug to her brother. "It's been too long, Brian. I've missed you."

When he finally releases her, she steps back just a bit to be able to look up at him. Way up. "I didn't realize you were staying over here now. Why didn't you tell me?"
Captain Britain "You're the telepath Bets, since when do I need to tell you anything?" He grinned, "it's," and he was about to come up with some lie. It was his default. He was supposed to try and hide these things. But instead, in this company, he could be honest and open. "Merlin said I was needed here. I enjoyed my semester last year as an international student. So, I decided to make the transfer permanent. Going to E.S.U., but figured I'd see what dad left me," strangely left to him specifically, unlike virtually everything else, which was split between them and their brother Jamie. "Besides, I don't think my old roommate has a place for me to stay anymore." He grinned at that.
Psylocke She actually blushes ever so slightly as she gives a big smile. Betsy moves to sit down in one of the chairs in front of the fire. She isn't dressed quite as stylishly as he is. Jeans, a button up shirt, flat pumps. She does slip off the shoes and tuck her feet up in the chair under her.

"Ah." She should be more shocked that Merlin told him but really? As weird as their lives have been and it isn't the first time he's gotten instructions from the wizard. "Well, there is still a spare room there," she points out with a sparkle of amusement in her eyes. "You could move in with us. But it might get...awkward."
Captain Britain Brian was far from a small man, but even he seemed small in the cavernous room in which they stood. "The offer is appreciated," he stretched out his arms, palms upward, "but I think I can make do with this quaint little place in New Jersey." As a non-native, he didn't have a problem with New Jersey. It was all America to him.

Moving to sit in an adjacent chair, he lifted one leg up, resting the heel of his ankle against his knee. Turning a little more serious, "there's a... Hellmouth, here. Some kind of mystical nexus of energy. It's actually underneath a high school library. Apparently, I shall be needed in the coming... I don't know. Merlin wasn't specific enough to tell me days, weeks, months, or even years. But I will be needed. That, combined with the fact that there are three other Captain Britains watching over home, well, it made it an easy choice. Besides, I missed you."
Psylocke "A Hellmouth? I have no idea what that is but it doesn't sound good." Betsy looks at him in concern. She doesn't address the multiple Captains back home across the pond. She was part of them a tone time herself. Long ago. It seemed like forever. So much had happened in her life since then.

"Are you going to need help? You know I'll be here in a moment if you do. I'm guessing he was his usual uninformative self?"
Captain Britain "I truthfully have no idea. Merlin works in mysterious ways... when did it become normal to speak of Arthurian legends as if they were real people. I miss when I could pick up the Once and Future King and not think of it as a prophecy, or something to do with time travel, alternate dimensions, or the Lock Ness Monster. But if I need you, and you're not already front and centre, kicking its butt, I'll call you. But how about you? How are you doing? What's going on in your life these days?"
Psylocke "I'm doing alright. Dealing with some problems currently that are getting a little out of hand. One of the Professor's old enemies has shown back up. The Shadow King." With her brother, Betsy isn't going to mince words or shy around the topics. She can tell him everything. He knows all about her history with the X-Men.

"He has some sort of magic stone that is giving him even more power. And hew as frighteningly powerful to begin with," she adds with a tiny shudder. She isn't afraid but she knows they are outgunned here. "Things are coming to a head soon."
Captain Britain "Anything I can do to help?" He asked, curious about this Shadow King she spoke of. "Sounds like someone ought to separate him from the stone," and Brian squeezed his right hand into a fist for dramatic effect. "If you need back up, all you need to do is open a portal or teleport me, or whatever it is you do. Just, try not to when I'm behind the wheel of a car or anything." He grinned at his own joke.
Psylocke "I'll bring the whole car through with you," Betsy promises with a soft laugh. She gives a little shake of her head though at the offer. "When the time comes, I'm sure we could use some backup. The danger is that if we don't take the right precautions, the Shadow King can take control of our own teammates. It could lead to us having to fight our own friends and family." Her expression changes to concern. "Not sure we would be able to take you down if it came to it."
Captain Britain "Going for 3rd Rock from the Sun or Back to the Future there, Bets," he asks with a laugh. "Or no," he raised one hand and shook his index finger, which was partially bent, "what was it... tip o' my bloody tongue here," and then he snapped his fingers, "Cadillacs and Dinosaurs." But as she gets more serious, he looks thoughtful, "I wonder how this Shadow King reacts to magic. My uniform may give me some protection, but it's a gamble all right."
Psylocke THe people involved are counting on him not doing well with it. They have some big guns in the magic community lined up to help," Betsy explains. "For some reason they had me at the meeting with the SHIELD agent. I have no idea why I was there. Unless they think my abilities have something to do with magic. They know I'm a mutant and a telepath but the rest."
Captain Britain "You've always been magical to me sis." He grinned. She was so outgoing, so adventurous. A part of him envied her free spirit. He had to fight his natural impulses to be heroic. For him, it was a duty, he did it because it was what he was supposed to do, not because he liked doing these incredible things. "Well, keep me in reserve, just in case."
