Owner Pose
Brooke Harris it is early in the morning. The studio is fairly quiet at this time of day. Most of the people who might show up at the studio tend to work 9 to 5 jobs, and most people just do not want to wake up early. Still, this is a wonderful time to get your training in, and many many people take advantage of this block of time to do their morning routines and exercises.

Brooke is no exception to this rule, at least today. She already did some running and other exercise outside, and now she is back at the studio, sweeping up, stretching, and preparing the place for the day. She is dark skinned, young, with a soft build from extensive qigong and soft martial arts training. She moves effortlessly, almost noiselessly, to a level unseen in most martial artists. Her extensive Chi training is immediately obvious to your trained senses.

The studio is empty right now, though the lights are on and the places obviously occupied. The front door is unlocked, and there is nothing that would bar you from walking inside.
Richard Dragon And walk inside he does.

THe Last Dragon, perhaps the Greatest Grandmaster of them all (but the title of 'greatest' and 'best' are fickle names), enters into the dojo wearing the traditional attire of a grandmaster of the martial arts. Though his version is black, with a crimson dragon coiled in artistic fashion, with a hood added to the collar in the event that he needs to be more secretive. But, his hands clasp behind his back, and he smiles softly to the woman before him.

"What a lovely studio. I hope you make good use of it." the Dragon speaks for the first time since his arrival, feeling the chi energy of Brooke. Was he there to train with her?
Brooke Harris Brooke lightly centers herself, tilting her head ever so slightly as she extends her qi to inspect the new arrival. Slowly, she inhales a breath then releases it in a peaceful fashion, before turning to face you with a relaxed smile on her face. Her eyes briefly scan your body, before she bows politely.

"Such a pleasure to meet you. Would you care for tea?" She softly gestures toward a kettle and a shelf full of traditional teas in one corner. "Or is this an urgent and worrying matter?" She steeples her fingers lightly, always reasonably prepared.
Richard Dragon Richard gives Brooke a light bow as he lowers his hood. "The pleasure is mine. I would love a tea. I care not what kind. Perhaps surprise me?" He smiles softly to Brooke as he moves to a mat, sitting down cross-legged. "No urgency. Just coming to visit."

He will wait patiently for the tea.

"I should introduce myself formally. My name is Richard Dragon."
Brooke Harris Brooke nods and considers you briefly. After a moment, she drifts over to the shelf, scans through the contents like a librarian scanning a bookshelf, and brings out a fine traditional black tea with notes of ginkgo and lavender. "I am Brooke Harris, although I am sure that is not the only title by which you have heard me called. I have heard something of your reputation. It is a great honor for you to visit a somewhat competent dabbler such as myself." Ah, and there is that self-deprecating presentation of a Taoist.

The kettle is filled with water from a glass jug and begins heating. As the water heats, she places two cups in the center of the small table between the chairs, the entire operation done gracefully. Finally, she places the kettle in the center of the table, and gestures toward the chairs without suggesting one or the other.
Richard Dragon Richard smiles softly to Brooke, bowing his head. "I have heard of you. I think you are also called Yin." he often pondered who her Yang was. But, with a soft smile on his face, Richard stays seated, hands clasped in his lap. "Please, you flatter me too much. I simply wished to see this place and the master who trained in it. and please, have confidence in your work and your home."

He seems to smile a little brighter. "Tell me, what do you train here? What styles, if any?"
Brooke Harris Brooke nods her head agreeably, taking a seat opposite you, or randomly if you do not move to sit. "I do qigong, several varieties, taijiquan, xingyiquan, baguazhuang. I have dabbled a little bit in some other styles, but I do not claim to be good enough to teach them." She takes a sip of tea, briefly smelling the stea coming off of it. "And some acupressure, medical qigong, a bit of biofeedback. Some Feldenkrais on occasion." The tea is softly set upon the table, form and posture always perfect and soft. "I am always looking for more tips about how to aid the functioning of the body."
Richard Dragon "hmm...I see. quite the repertoir. I'm surprised you don't teach. You should open this to others, whether they pay or not. You could have an impact." Dragon advises rather kindly, sipping on the tea with a soft chuckle. "Well, the healing of the body is, as i like to teach it, taught by the spirit. If one can believe they will get better, and learn to hone their chi, it will prove to be a great aid in their recovery."

A pause.

"I've found that certain unorthodox ingredients help as well."
Brooke Harris "Oh, but I do teach on occasion. I just recently sent a gifted student out into the world." Brooke savors another sip of tea. "I hear she is becoming established in Gotham City these days." She lightly swishes the tea in the cup a moment, considering her next words.

"It's mostly the question of how to present the information in such a way that will offer the greatest impact. Without, of course, leaving me at the mercy of a mob of people demanding my services rather than learning to heal themselves with the teachings." She gives a slight shrug. "I would love to be the one to teach people how to, say, cure cancer. I don't even need credit. But who wants to do the hard work? That part seems more difficult, for whatever reason."
Richard Dragon Richard seems to nod very softly. "Who might that be, I wonder? You do not have to speak of it. But, in the event that she abuses what she was taught....it'd be nice to know." he chuckles softly but he nods. "That is something that comes with time." he answers softly in regards to her question of HOW to teach it. "In order to do such a thing, you must first take the first step and be willing to teach, which it seems you've already begun. The rest comes with time on that long road."
Brooke Harris "I don't think that she had settled on a name really. Not last that I had seen, anyways. I'm not the only one keeping an eye on her, but I am trying to make a point of checking in here and there." She nods. "Oh, I know. It just seems as though some of the people I have tried eventually get it in their heads that I could just do it for them." She takes a short sip of tea, pausing. "They're right, of course, which makes it even worse."

Brooke looks up at you. "And what have you been working on? Any interesting projects that I might," she considers her wording, "Learn from by proxy? Possibly even assist with."
Richard Dragon "Hmm...interesting." Dragon doesn't seem to speak much more on the mystery identity of this mystery woman. But he /DOES/ offer her a chuckle after sipping his tea. "Eager, are you?" He grins lightly, but he turns very serious.

"Shadow organizations are on the move. Familiarize yourself with a group called the Hand." and Richard Dragon stood up. "The Devil of Hells Kitchen is a strong authority on such a subject. If you wish to assist? If you can find him, then you are prepared for what is coming." he smiles. "Thank you for the tea." he lifts his hood up over his head and bows to Master Yin.
Brooke Harris Brooke bows her head, nodding agreeably. "Of course, Laoshi Dragon. It is rare for me to find teachers who can teach as much as experience can, these days."

She listens further, considering. "I haven't encountered him yet, although I have had some slight experience with both the Hand and the Foot. I will be sure to keep my eyes open, though." She taps her chin, considering the moment. "You are, of course, welcome to tea any time you wish. My doors are always open to a master such as yourself." She rises in a slow, relaxed movement so that she may return the respectful bow. "I am sure our paths will cross again at some point. I look forward to our next meeting. And now, I must prepare for the morning classes. Be well." She moves softly to open the door for you, respectfully.
