Owner Pose
Mellie Three werewolves with bloodied claws and fur charge up the hill. It's a stormy night in Gotham, it usually is. These werewolves are normally the hunters, the monsters. Tonight the tables will be turned and they have fled to a place they will not be able to flee.

Shifting into human form they try to smash the door of an old manor down. It doesn't budge for some reason, however when the knob is turned it opens right up oddly enough. They drag two corpses into the manor with them, no doubt their dinner. Their alpha, whose name is Vince, whistles, "What a place. I think we'll be settling in here permanently. Could use some work though. Maybe the city is selling it? Close that door would you?" Jay is another of the werewolves. He smirks, "If we get this place, I think we should expand the pack a bit. Leeches are closing in on us I think. It's how Mikey got capped, has to be. We haven't been attacked in six years." The third, Leo, shakes his head, "Coincidence. Gotham's a big city and those fangs probably have eyes everywhere here. No one's hunting us, there's no death dealer on our trail. Besides I heard they all got ashed a couple years back."

Vince doesn't say anything else on the matter, "Let's eat boys.." A crack of thunder and the sound of footsteps upstairs make the wolves pause for a moment but Vince just shrugs, "Rats probably got scared up there.. don't worry about it. Thunder scares 'em."
Selene And as it were, there is a death dealer on their trail. Out in the tree line that surrounds the old abandoned home a shadow moves through the already ever present darkness. It sweeps across the spaces between the tall tree trunks and it uses them for cover as it makes its way around the perimeter and watches its prey from afar.

The Death Dealers generally didn't work alone, but there was only one Selene. The most experienced and the most capable of them all, and she had no qualms with seeking and killing her prey solo. When the door to the mansion shuts, she watches from afar, her body bathed in the darkness provided by night and by the storm clouds above.

Selene's pale face stares at the old building, she listens to everything on the winds from the rain to the sounds coming from the clumsy loud-mouthed werewolves taking refuge inside that home. They'd killed, they were going to feed to garner strength and stamina. She was going to stop them.

Selene doesn't approach from the front of the house though, no she makes her way around to the back and up to a second story balcony where she tries to find a doorway or window to slip herself inside the old darkened manor.
Mellie The first window you try opens up rather easily, in fact you don't have to put much effort into it at all. As the thunder cracks again you can hear the sound of a young woman crying somewhere further in down the hall towards the stairs. The wolves apparently do not hear it, even as they have turned back into werewolf form, likely because they are eating the dead humans they brought with them, quite noisily in fact. The sounds of crunching bones and wet flesh is quite audible, especially to one such as Selene whose hearing far exceeds a human's.
Selene The window is slipped through and the curtains covering it on the inside are blowing gently in the moist cold rain winds that are coming inside the house now. Selene slowly shuts the window again without it making a sound, then she turns to listen to the noises coming from deeper within the home.

The door to the room she's within is oepened further and she slips out into he hall. She can hearing the crying, but she's not really focused on that. She's focused on the sounds of the Lycans consuming their meal, thats a bit more pressing for her than a woman's tears.

Both of her guns are drawn from her side holsters now and her back stays close to the cover of the hallway's walls. She passes by any doors on her way as she tries to creep her position closer and closer to the Lycan's position, hoping to get the jump on them as they feast.
Mellie The lycans should have set a guard but they didn't. Jay was the smart one, maybe he should have been alpha? Suddenly you hear a whisper in your ear as you move, "Mommy said the dogs shouldn't eat scraps. Bad for their tummies.. bad for their tummies.. spend the night in the yard.. bad.. bad.."
Selene Selene continues her creeping crawl like a predator hunting dangerous other predators. But its that sudden voice in her right ear that makes her body freeze and her eyes shoot over in the direction from where it came, her eyes are a bright silvery blue in shade, piercing the darkness with a pale hue like that of her face.

Who'd said that? She tilts her body to the right and peers inside an open doorway to an old bedroom. Another captive? Voices travel strangely in these old buildings, the tall ceilings can make sound waves bounce so strangely...

She sees nothing though, so she proceeds onward.
Mellie The storm continues to rage outside. Vince cracks his neck, still in werewolf form. The other wolves finish eating as Vince begins to howl, possibly calling other werewolves in the area to the manor. Surely they would hear, even though they are inside, and even with it storming. They never come but pack tradition is pack tradition. The voice does not return as Selene continues on.. but..

At the staircase, and very briefly, is an apparition of a young woman. The apparition seems to point at one of the rooms before blinking out.. then she appears again, staring at Selene.. then vanishes as quickly. The entire manifestation was less than a second but vampires have very fast eyes.
Selene Selene knew she needed to the silence the one calling the others to join them here, he was her primary target but she'd need to find which room they're in first... She continues to creep about until the spirit shows itself, the spirit of this home manifesting itself in a full free roaming vapor? Now that was rare... that was something she did not expect. She'd heard that the United States was a haven for spirits and ghosts, as well as scientist who were trying to combat them, but she hadn't seen a ghost... in a hundred years, at least.

The point made Selene's pale eyes look to where it indicated, the re-appearance and subsequent re-disappearance had the vampire bewildered, not frightened though... she had nothing to be frightened of, plus that emotion had mostly left her a long time ago.

Selene gives a glance now toward where the Ghostly Visage had pointed, hoping to understand what it was indicating to her.
Mellie A black mass with red eyes can be scene briefly in the room the apparition pointed to. But the door slams shut and a gutteral shriek fills your ears for a second.. causing the lycans to look up as they heard it too. Vince snarls and roars. The other two look around as well, sniffing the air, trying to determine what manner of intruder they have. The smell Selene but they can't tell she is a vampire.
Selene The red eyes stand out to her, of course, and in an instant she knows she's dealing with a house that has its own problems. "Fantastic." She mutters just before the door slams shut and the wolves are set on guard. "Wonderful." So much for the element of surprise.

Selene stalks toward where she can smell THEM and she, unceremoniously drops down from the second store and raises her guns up. She stares down the sight lines and makes herself quite apparent to the Lycans, then she starts to fire her weapons! The house is now the sight of some rather chaotic combat!
Mellie As Leo is immediately gunned down dead cruel laughter can be heard coming from the room with the red eyes, a gutteral sound that can be heard above the yelping and snarling of the werewolves. The other two circle around to either side of Selene and pounce! They are attempting to divide her attention enough so that at least one of them can land a deadly claw.
Selene The vampire makes no hesitation after gunning down Leo and seeing the other two trying to get her attention split. She drives on ahead and moves to slide her body beneath a large oak table in the center of the room, ducking beneath one of their swiping clawed hands! She can hear the laughter inside the house, but again she has more pressing matters to attend to so once beneath the table she turns onto her right side and starts firing one of her guns at the furry feet of of the Lycan's legs she can still see!
Mellie Vince yelps in pain as Selene's weapon rips through his legs. Falling to the ground he tries to swipe at Selene! Jay on the other hand is roaring in pain and then yelps repeatedly before the sounds of claws dragging against the wood can be heard, the slam of another door, and the sound of something large being dragged down a flight of stairs and then... a boom.. and a splat.
Selene Selene's eyes are watching the wolf that is swiping at her, she lines her gun up for its snout only to have it bat her weapon out of her hand where it clatters across the floor of the room and spins into a corner where it stops. She then rolls out from beneath the table and just as the Lycan is about to swipe at her face she slams her hand down onto its paw and jams a silver spike into the back of is wet bloodied furry paw and down into the wood of the floor! The silver will sear the flesh of the werewolf and feel like its blazing hot! Quickly she moves to stand up and let her eyes search for the other... where had it gone?
Mellie Vince howls in pain! He has been injured by silver enough now that he is too weak to fight, the metal sapping his strength even after having recently fed. Of Jay there is no sign other than the long line of claws marks leading towards the kitchen door. The female apparition appears in front of Selene again, looks at her for a moment, and then walks through the kitchen door.. literally.
Selene Selene was on her way to retrieve her handgun when the apparition of the girl appeared again. She hesitates, stutter steps even, but she has to focus on her goals! So while the werewolve thrashes on the floor she's crouching in the corner to pick her gun up again and now she's glancing into the kitchen as she walks past that archway, then approaches Vince where he's literally nailed to the floor by that silver spike... she raises her gun up and aims it down at his face, intending to unload a silver nitrate bullet into his face... she squeezes the trigger with the intentions of dealing yet more death!
Mellie Vince is now dead. Only Jay is unaccounted for. The sounds of the young woman crying can be heard coming from.. down below? Perhaps a basement. Sounds of footsteps creaking on wooded stairs confirms this.
Selene Selene stands over the dead Vince-Wolf and she lowers her gun after making sure that he'd breathed his last breath. Then her pale blue eyes look up past her dangling dark strands of hair and toward the source of the weeping... One handgun is placed back into its houlster inside of her long black trench coat while the other is kept in her right hand, her prefered firing hand. She starts toward the kitchen with her heavy boots quietly impacting on the floor. The spirit had gone that way, sometimes there are cellar doors in kitchens... Selene moves to step into the kitchen with the intention of finding such a door, had the Lycan fled that way?
Mellie As you enter the kitchen you see an open door that leads into a basement of sorts, perhaps a wine cellar. The claw marks drag in that direction. In the darkness, should you look down there, you will see Jay's decapitated corpse impaled by a long steel pipe upon the wall. His head is beside him, etched in an expression of horror. Somehow he had been forced back into human form before he was killed. The air grows incredibly cold.
Selene Selene steps up to the cellar door and she peers down into it to see the beheaded man who had been a Lycan moments ago.. Well, her marks are all dead... so thats a plus. But what precisely had killed this last one? She keeps her gun clutched, she can feel the air is quite cold around her but she's a creature of cold blood so it doesn't effect her much. With a somewhat tentative step, Selene moves down the staircase one foot at a time. She's not a ghost hunter, she's not a demon fighter, but she has to have information on what she's facing here and what she can do, if anything about it. Ultimately though, she's considering just leaving... with the Lycans dead, her job here is done. Except for... well, curiosity really.
Mellie Mellie appears in front of the door leading back into the living room space, staring at Selene. As most spirits of her type she is all white energy, "It's not safe.. he always comes back.. naughty dogs get no dinner.. mother said. Please fetch the belt Mellie.. it's hanging beside the mantle.." She starts to walk back towards the living room, passing through the door again.
Selene Selene pauses on the steps, she looks over to the spirit once more and listens to it... some ghosts are simply on 'repeat' of memories and events long past. She lingers her gaze for a moment but ultimately has to go down and retreive the lycan's body in the basement either way, she needs to take the bodies all outside and burn them, the three lycans she'd killed can't stay here to be found later, their blood has to be set to fire. So Selene continues down the stairs and to where the body is, as well as its head, she reaches for the head first to pull it free.
Mellie As you for the head, the steel pipe begins to impale deeper into the lycan's body. In your ears you hear another voice, but it's not the female voice you heard before. It is a male voice, the same gutteral voice as the laughter from before, perhaps the black entity? But it is in an ancient sounding language, Ancient Sumerian to be exact, and unless you know it the words are foreign to you. Then the lycan's chest bursts open, spilling blood everywhere, especially one of the nearby walls. Letters in blood begin to form...

MINE TO DEVOUR

THEIR SOULS

IN THE VOID

WITH ME NOW
Selene Selene just exhales partly out of annoyance as the head is further rooted on the pipe. Stubborn demonic forces at play here. And as the voice laughs and taunts her, she spins around to see the blood etching on the walls. "Fine." Selene says as she reads the messages. Her hand disps into her jacket and she pulls out a silver cylinder, its a flare that burns much much hotter than the average, she uses them to set fires to lycan bodies to burn them up. "I'll just burn your entire home down if you do not let me have what I need." She says back to the angered spirit. "I came for these bodies, I intended to leave with them. I haven't time for your petty stubborn ways, spirit. We've all been on this world far too long for this. Release the body, or the whole home burns." She holds the flare cyliner up in her left hand, ready to ignite it.
Mellie Mellie appears next to Selene, "Where will I live? Where will I go!! Don't send me there mother don't send me away!!" She stares at the flames. The demon is nowhere to be found, likely grown bored of Selene's bravery. Mellie telekinetically rips the pipe from the dead lycan's corpse easily, "Father said he would protect me from them.. that the voice was a nightmare.." She is pleading with Selene about.. something.
Selene The plight of the poor ghost really isn't of any concern to Selene. She does see it seemingly free the corpse's head though and within moments she's dragging the body and its head back up the stairs and out of the basement. She has a job. "I'd be doing you a favor." Selene utters then in a huffy sort've way to the spirit, whether it understands her or not. Still though, she takes the dead Lycan's body back up into the kitchen and back toward the front room where she goes to throw open the front door.
Mellie Mellie watches Selene leave and then vanishes again! Selene encounters no further resistance or supernatural beings. The storm rages on however and the lycans are completely dead. In the distance a chorus of howls seems to belatedly respond to Vince..
Selene Selene's not done yet though... even if the spirits within that home have decided to give up on her she has to drag the one body outside of the house onto the front lawn where there's a collection of gravel across the ground. She follows suit to go back inside to get the other two... she can hear the howeling, she knows more may very well arrive any moment but she piles the three up and then boots the severed head into the center of the pile before she ignites the flare... super hot fire... and tosses it onto them. It can burn even rain soaked bodies up. Selene stairs at them for a moment, her hair wet and matted to the sides of her face. She looks away from the hot fire up to the house then once more.
Mellie For Selene there is no further attempt by the demon to frighten her. It seems to know when it has been beaten. All is quiet now except for the storm. The howling has ceased as well.
Selene Selene looks away from the house then and out toward the forest. She pulls her phone out of her pocket and starts to activate it even in the rain. She turns her back to the home and starts to walk away from it out toward the woods, she'd parked her motorcycle on the other side of the tree line. "Will." She says into her phone. "They're not a threat any longer. I'll meet you at the donut shop." She ends the call then and continues to stomp her way across the soaking wet grass in the haunted house's yard.
