Andrea Outspoken mutant and activist popstarlet and Ex-Disney actress is on a small tour and Riverdale is one of her stops. Though this is a smaller venue then most of her other stops, Andrea always appreciates the chance to interact with her fans and put on a top notch show filled with her greatest hits that crosses two platinum albums. The music is upbeat and rambunctious, filled with a couple of more moodier and adult tunes near the end of the concert. Andrea drinks up the noise from the crowd as she moves along the stage with her backup dancers, hitting each note perfectly in a practiced manner that doesn't lose any of the emotional connection to her music. The last song of the night is her personal anthem, Invincible, a song she wrote about being attacked as a mutant and overcoming adversity to become stronger at the end. It's a song that can be inspirational to just about anyone who has ever felt kicked around or mistreated.

With the last lyrics sang and the final roar of the crowd, Andrea waves to the audience, dressed in a pair of snug skinny jeans and a shirt that looks as if a butterfly is hugging her upperbody. Her hair is slick with sweat and she is breathing heavily with red cheeks. As an artist who doesn't believe in lipsynching, it can take a lot out of you when you leave it all on the stage along with the dancing.

The lights turn down and she heads to the back to take a quick drink, then meet up with the VIP guests and fans who were lucky enough to win radio packages or purchase the upgraded seats in which the extra charges are donated to her favorite charities. The back room is large with bright white walls and posters of various acts and bands. Large tables are set up with drinks, food and alcoholic beverages for the adults who are allowed in with a green bracelet.
Archie Andrews Archie Andrews is one of those fans who won a radio package. There's no way his dad could afford tickets for this show on his pay, and Archie doesn't tend to keep part-time jobs for long. He's too flighty and clumsy. Thankfully, the local radio show had been having a trivia call-in contest, and the question happened to involve the history of food chains and restuarants. Archie was clueless, but his good buddy Jughead was quite the expert.

So, Archie found himself at the concert, enjoying every minute of it! He'd never met a mutant (That he knew, anyways!) but he was a big fan of the music (And Andrea, because, teen boy). When the concert was over, he shuffled towards the VIP Lounge, holding his badge out like Wayne and Garth in that infamous, vintage movie scene. His heart is racing! Dressed in jeans, Converse, and a faded Bush t-shirt (He does love his old-school bands), he flashes a wide smile as he breaches security. He looks about with wide eyes, the attractive, if awkward youth, taking it all in.

"...Whoa."
Andrea There will only be about ten VIP guests from the radio package deals, so not to fill the room up too much and give everyone some access to the popstar. Each guest is patted down by security by two large men in suits with glasses on, guns and radios. They appear to be the types that you don't mess around with, or make jokes about. Don't yell bomb in the airport, kids. After about ten minutes of milling about, the access door opens up to reveal Andrea, dressed in fresh clothes that are torn skinny jeans and a baggy Cal-U sweater that hangs off of one hip. The glitter and make up has been washed off her face and her hair reworked into a normal bob cut without the extensions she was wearing on stage. By all appearances, she looks fairly normal. "Hi Riverdale!" She calls out to the guests happily with her usual warm disposition as she is handed a bottle of water from one of her staff members. "I hope everyone enjoyed the concert." Young teen girls squeal, young teen boys look too 'cool' to be there, and she quickly steps in to take selfies and signs autographs while she mingles.
Darkhawk Chris' mom was given a pair of tickets from the office, and she had no desire to come to this, so gave them to her eldest son. He had come with a friend, though they seemed to have gotten separated in the crowd. He figured they'd reconnect backstage, as the tickets were of the VIP variety. He had chosen to wear one of his favourite shirts, a replica of one of Queen's old tour shirts, their Magic tour, and blue jeans below.

After the concert endeded, he made his way to the lounge, having to turn his badge so the correct side was face forward. It had twirled on him during his walk, and the security weren't going to let him in unless he could prove he belonged. Boy, those security guards were big he thought to himself. One of them seemed to have an arm as thick as his chest. Thankfully, once inside there was a familiar face, so he went up to Archie, and whispered a joke, "new girlfriend?" Yep, he was going to try and make Archie's cheeks as red as his hair.
Archie Andrews Archie is hardly too cool to be here, and he doesn't bother trying to pretend. He takes it all in eagerly, before moving over to the snack table these kinds of things usually have. He looks it all over as his stomach audibly growls, and he seizes a soda pop, and a small plate of tiny snacks. He nods to himself and pops one back before he turns around...and is faced directly with the famous pop star. Archie chokes for a moment, but takes a sip of his drink and washes it down. He coughs a few times, covering his mouth, before he manages a smile.

"Uh, hey! You put on an amazing sh-,"...and then there's Chris, of course, stage-whispering embarassing things. He elbows the other young man in the ribs.
Andrea Giving a warm smile to Archie as he turns around to face her, Andrea plucks up a cookie as well, breaking it in half. It's the kind with M&M's in it. Her favorite. "Thanks! This is a really nice little town you guys have here. Sorta reminds me of home. Grew up in a place near San Francisco called Walnut Creek. Close enough to the bay but still kinda homey enough to not be insanely busy. Still had a small town charm to it." She brushes some hair behind her ear, giving a grin to Chris at his ribbing. She seems to be used to those types of remarks and teasing from her age group. "Hi as well. Thanks for coming to the show. I hope you liked it. Kiiiinda cool seeing guys back here for a change. I'm always curious if guys are a fan of my music or if my target audience is mostly tweens."
Darkhawk Chris smiled and almost let out a laugh even as he was elbowed in the ribs. It wouldn't be nearly as fun to rib him if Archie didn't make himself such an obvious and frequent target. Seeing the soft drink tub, he reaches in, his arm going deep to try and get one from the bottom, as he liked his drinks to be cold. He had little tiny shards of ice on his arm, but it emerged successfully with a can of Soder-Cola Classic. Unfortunately, he had gotten the hem of his t-shirt a little wet too, but that would dry in time. Burring, and after shifting the can to his free hand, he tried to shake off some of the water and ice that had clung to him.

"My name's Chris, and this here is Archie, star player and captain of the Riverdale Bulldogs." Yeah, he was totally going to try and be Archie's wingman today. "I wouldn't worry about it, the fan thing, Archie plays your music before every game to get us into a great mood, so we can win." It's too bad Reggie wasn't here. He was a much better wingman.
Archie Andrews The redhead chuckles a bit, his blush fading as Andrea doesn't feed the ribbing. "Well, I'm sure you have a bunch of tween fans, but...I like it, too. I was hyped when I won the ticket. We don't get too many big performances coming through her. It's ninety percent Josie and the Pussycats shows." He pauses. "They're a local group. I tried my own band, buuuuut...it didn't quite work out. Helps that none of my friends can hold a note or play an instrument." Archie grins ruefully. "Anyways, I'm glad you like the place. It's home. If you're looking for good food while you're in town, you should hit up Pop's before you take off. Amazing shakes. And burgers."

He takes a sip of his drink as he glances over at Chris. Archie blinks at all the bs Chris is spouting off, and he opens and then closes his mouth once or twice. "Uh," is about all he can manage in response, though.
Andrea "Oh! I have the Pussy cat's album on my phone." Andrea says as she slips the wide screened device out of her back pocket, then flips it on as she surfs through her playlists. "I love small indie bands. I was trying so hard to get them to open for me here. I'm really big into promoting local bands when I'm on tour but I was told there was a conflict in scheduling on their end. So, hopefully their manager gets back to me so I can snag them for another city and give them some love." She finds the album and hits the 'heart' button on the album to play it later.

Giving a look ot Chris, the popstar's brows rise upwards, then gives a grin to him. Her eyes glance left, then right, then asks Chris point blankly. "Yeah? Which song does he use to pump the crowd up with?" She asks with a rising grin. She knows a good teasing when she sees it, and she looks to flip the table back on him. "You should sing me the lyrics, get me inspired."
Darkhawk Without missing a beat, Chris replies, "Speedball," not because Archie actually plays it, but because another friend of his, Robbie Baldwin, loves that song for some reason, always playing it, over and over. Probably his preferred make out song or something. "Though he likes to change it up with Bring the Noise a lot too. There, you know, he plays a lot of your songs." And poor Chris has exhausted the entirety of the songs he actually knows the title of from her catalogue. "But oh no, I'm no singer. If I sang, I'd be sending everyone here fleeing, or after me with a pitchfork for butchering your songs. But Archie, he has some real pipes. Good guitar player too."
Archie Andrews Archie grins at Andrea and nods. "They're a good band. I'm sure they would have loved to open, but, they have a pretty crazy school schedule right now." He shrugs and glances between Chris and her, chuckling as he sips his soda. The youth shrugs. "The football stuff might not be true, but I -do- sing and play guitar, at least. So it isn't -all- lies." He chuckles and looks back to Andrea.
Andrea "So, you aren't the star quarterback?" Andrea asks with an amused smile on her face, tipping a wink to him. "I wouldn't mind hearing you sing if you want." She glances over to one of the staff members. "Julio, can you get my guitar. The acoustic. The one signed by Taylor Swift. Can you bring it over?" The young latino with the clipboard gives a quick salute and then heads out the access door to retrieve her instrument. "I was more of a soccer girl myself. I played a few years before I started going on tour."

To Chris, she grins at him. "Speed Ball, huh? I don't get a lot of requests for that song, which is why I didn't play it tonight, but I can see Bring the Noise being played at a football game. It has a pretty catching chorus to it." She says proudly. "I wrote that song when I was watching a ton of europop music from the nineties. Bands like La Bouche and Le Click."
Darkhawk Chris looks back at Archie, and whispers, "hey, elle l'a achete totalement," he said in French, assuming that the American performer wouldn't know it. He said she was totally buying it. "I'm more of a soccer player myself. I usually start at right wing, but coach lets me go wherever I want on the field." He almost went on more, but then he remembered, he was trying to make Archie look good. "But Archie is the bomb." Did he actually just say 'the bomb'?
Archie Andrews "I've never made it past trying out," Archie responds with a lopsided grin. He isn't too embarassed about it. It's practically a running gag at this point in his life. "I'm fast, but I have the coordination of...something with bad coordination." He shrugs his athletic shoulders and takes a sip of his drink. He then pauses when Andrea is asking one of her people for her guitar, and he nervously watches the man make his way off.

"I really like 90's music. 80's, too," Archie adds idly. He then looks back to Chris. "Dude, you know my French sucks. Don't you remember that Montreal trip last year? When I tried to order the poutine?" He may be Canadian, but that doesn't mean he's a Francophone. Not for lack of trying, though!
Andrea "Je n'ai pas. Bien essayé quand même." Andrea says to Chris with a grin on her face, tipping another wink to him. "I love eighties music too. Journey is one of my favorite bands and I grew up on Madonna. My parents loved that era." As Julio comes back with the beautifully crafted guitar, Andrea reaches for it and slips it over her shoulder, brushing her fingers along the strings to play out a few notes and ensure it's still tuned. After a few more plucks, she hands it out to Archie with a grin. Sure enough, T-Swifty's autograph is on the front of it in black magic marker and a heart next to her name.
Darkhawk Chris is no expert on French, but he says "mon Dieu," there for comedic effect, especially as he and Andrtea might be the only ones to get the joke that he just said 'my god' in French. He's smiling though, "80's music is great. Queen, Springsteen, the Police, Genesis... woah." The last bit to the fact that she's letting Archie hold that precious guitar.
Archie Andrews Archie freezes up when Andrea holds the guitar out for him. After a moment he clears his throat and sets the soda aside. He reaches out to take the instrument and he slings it over his shoulder carefully. He plucks a few strings and sighs. "So, uh...this is Wonderwall?," he jokes. He cradles it and considers for a few moments before he glances between them again, his gaze settling on Andrea, in the end.
Andrea "Ha. You didn't know I spoke French. I also speak a bit of Spanish from my time in California. A hint of Tagalog. A teeny bit of Latin." Andrea says to Chris with a smug look on her face. She waves to a pair of girls that ambles over, signing both of their shirts, then takes a picture with them as she hugs them close. After a few words of encouragement to them, she glances back to the two men. "You're going to sing me an Oasis song? Cool." She says as she uncaps her bottle of water again for a sip. "Then after this, how 'bout I take everyone to this Pops place and we get dinner? My bus doesn't leave for a few more hours and I can't eat just cookies and candy in here. I need a burger."
Darkhawk Chris looks to Archie, giving him a 'go on," and a look of you can do this. He even tries to subtly give a thumbs up when Andrea isn't looking. He doesn't seem to be phased by being caught out by Andrea. This probably happens to her all the time. "Sounds like a plan. Pop's is the best. Also, you need to get a chocolate shake there."
Archie Andrews "I speak English, and badly," Archie responds with a lopsided grin. "Oh! No. It's a....joke. The Wonderwall thing is this...joke. Nevermind." He clears his throat and considers for a moment. "Well, there's this song I wrote when I was in that band I mentioned?," he asks after a moment, looking nervous. He glances over at Chris, then seems to nod to himself and looks back to Andrea. "Screw it. Here we go. Also, that sounds insanely cool. Pop's it is..."

After that he strums the strings and sings. It's clumsy at first, due to him being nervous, but then he gets into it. The song? 'Sugar Sugar', by The Archies. It's poppy and super old school...but he somehow pulls it off.
Andrea Growing quiet as she listens to him, Andrea sips at her water, smiling at how nervous he is by putting on the spot in front of the world's biggest popstar currently on the charts. She gives him credit for stepping up! She hums lightly along with his lyrics at times as if testing out the melodies. The chorus is easily memorized and just to play along, she sings along with him as her rich voice mingles with his falsetto. The room is staring at them now, taking pictures and recording the pair.
Darkhawk With the attention they're getting, Chris takes a step back. He's no singer, and doesn't want to take away from Archie and Andrea's moment, or is that Andrea and Archie? They can figure out who gets top billing later. Hmm, maybe the A&A's? Either way, he does his best to blend into the background as they play and sing.
Archie Andrews Well, THIS is going to be the talk of school on Monday. Crap. Archie's cheeks are red by the time the song ends. "It's dumb, I know. Super old-school, but..." He shrugs. "Kinda sums me up, I guess." Archie laughs and shakes his head, carefully removing the guitar and holding it out to her. "Thanks for that. Singing along, I mean. Made me feel less dumb."
Andrea Andrea reaches out and takes the guitar from him. "There is nothing wrong with old school, Archie. We could use a bit more of the fifties and sixties in our lives. Just without the racism and the wife beating, and way better regulations on the environment and gun control." She jokes as she slides it over her neck and shoulder. "I love the old black and white TV shows of white picket fences and two kids and a car and easily solved problems that are fixed in thirty minutes. It was simple back then. Full of values. Something this world needs more of. Values. Morals. Love."
Archie Andrews The redhead nods a bit as he listens. "Well, yeah," he replies after a moment. "Definatly." He turns and picks up his soda again to drain it. He looks around for Chris again, blinking. "So...when this thing is all over we'll go to Pop's. It's open 24 hours, so don't need to worry about that..." He glances about for Chris, again. "Huh. Looks like Chris vanished."
Andrea "He's probably flirting with the two blondes over there that have been eyeballing him the moment he stepped in the room." Andrea says with a grin as she casts a glance across the room, then back to him. "So, I'm curious. You know I'm a mutant, right? And you're really cool with it? I get mixed reactions, even in the VIP's. Some people just want to get a pic with me for exposure, then tell me for ten minutes how I'm going to burn in hell because of my DNA. I have a hint that doesn't bother you, huh?"
Archie Andrews He laughs softly and nods. "He probably is, yeah." Archie blinks at her question and looks abashed for a moment, brushing his fingers back through his hair. "Uh, yeah. I know. Never rwally met a Mutant before that I know of. But...you're still just a person. Who care if you also have superpowers? You still go through all the same stuff other teens do."
Andrea "Heh. Sorta. We kinda go through all the same stuff except we get shot at a lot more, and ridiculed online and other type of threats. It's not always fun." That is an understatement. Andrea chuckles as she gives a curious glance around the room, then steps in closer to him. "Not a lot of people actually knows what my super powers are. You curious?"
Archie Andrews He winces at that. "Well, yeah. Right. Sorry. I just meant you aren't...less then. You're still a teen girl. Just one who deals with other stuff -also-." He shrugs helplessly and clears his throat. Archie blinks when she steps in close, and he considers for a moment. "Sure. I mean, sure!"
Andrea "I know what you meant. Just teasin' yah." Andrea says with a smile, then leans in and whispers against his ear so that no one else can hear. Once done, she leans back to gauge his reaction curiously.
Archie Andrews He blinks at that. "Whoa. That is insanely cool. Seriously. Are you messing with me? That is -awesome-." Archie really seems to mean it. His gaze dips over her again, clearly considering all of that. Archie grins at her and shakes his head. "Seriously, that is so cool. I mean...it really sucks people treat you bad for being awesome. They're jealous that can't do that stuff and are idiots for hating what they don't understand. But...you know that, already."
Andrea "Ha. Yeah. I'm serious. It's not always cool though. Losing control sometimes is not always fun." Andrea admits as she gives him a grin. "And they aren't jealous. They're angry, they're scared and they hate us. Jealousy is like.. the girl at school super upset that her best friend scored a date with popular quarterback Archie." She teases. "But keep being cool and open minded, because not all of us are bad guys."
Archie Andrews "Well...that's fair. Sorry, I don't mean to make it seem small or simple or something. And speaking as a non-mutant? Nah, plenty of them are jealous, deep down. They convince themselves they just hate, but..." Archie shrugs. "Not all of them, of course. Some are just monsters." He nods to that and grins. "I will."
Andrea "A lot of us are monsters too though, Archie. Which is where a lot of the fear and hate comes from." Andrea admits as she gives a glance about, offering a smile here and there and a wave. "This seems like a cozy small town, the kinda town that can wig out if someone was to come out of their mutant closet. Do me a favor, okay? Be a champion, even if it makes you uncomfortable." She pats him on the shoulder a few times gently. "So you're saying Pop's has the best shakes in the world, huh?"
