Jennifer Walters It's the day before Thanksgiving. Which means that it's a long weekend in the white-collar world. She-Hulk is out and about in the park, enjoying the brisk autumn air. She's moving along, people-watching, and just enjoying knowing she doesn't have to put up with things for a few days.
Minoke A green-skinned woman is wandering around the park. She is picking up aluminum cans that are discarded. She nods and is gathering a bunch of them in a sack. She then goes to sit on a bench which groans audibly with her weight as she reaches into the bag of cans. A green glow starts to come from the plastic bag. "Why are these just discarded around?" she mutters softly to herself.
Jennifer Walters Which makes /two/ green-skinned women. She-Hulk looks over, a bit surprised. She's not used to seeing other green folks around. Especially not one dumpster diving for discarded cans. So she changes her direction, and starts over towards Minoke. She gives her a nod of her head. "Hey there. Everything okay?"
Minoke Minoke nods as she reaches into the bag and pulls out a glowing green oozing ball of... something. "Yes, everything is fine. I'm just confused why these perfectly good metal containers were just laying around on the ground like they aren't important. I know it's just aluminum, but it's surprisingly strong for its weight. The bag is dropped as she is just holding the ball, as it starts oozing into a new form - that of a tree that she sees nearby. She gazes up at She-Hulk, her eyes glowing faintly, as well as a jewel on her forehead.
Jennifer Walters She-Hulk looks over at the shorter green girl. "Because people haven't learned that littering makes you a jerk." Her eyes flick to the green glowy ball, and then back. "Gonna guess that you're not exactly from around here."
Minoke Minoke nods as she is shaping it still, as it looks more tree-like. "Yes. I just arrived recently from Knowhere," she comments, apparently unaware of the 'joke' in the name in English. "My name is Minoke." Finally she sets it down and it stops glowing green - it's a perfect but tiny aluminum replica of the tree in front of the bench.
Jennifer Walters "Well, better to be somewhere than nowhere." Shulkie looks over at the tree. "Nice art. So, I'll be Good Samaritan girl...there anything you need here, or are you self-sufficient?" she makes the offer. "I'm Jennifer."
Minoke Minoke nods. "I need electricity - but I don't know where I should get it - the entire city is PULSING with it - in all different strengths and currents and amperages - it's a bit overwhelming to scan for it. And some titanium in case I get damaged." She ponders, beeping softly. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Jennifer. I would imagine that just feeding on the electricity in the wrong spot could cause a lot of issues..."
Jennifer Walters "Potentially. I'm not much the tech girl, but I have some friends who are. If you can tell me your requirements, I can see if we can't find something to help you out. Nice to meet you too." Jen offers, as she takes out her cell phone. It helps when you have both Tony Stark and Reed Richards on your speed dial.
Minoke Minoke nods slowly. "I need access to electricity..." She trails off. "I'm not really sure how to describe it - I don't really know the units of measurement yet. And access to a stockpile of titanium just in case." She smiles. "I don't wnat to use aluminum for repairs - it's too light and dentable."
Jennifer Walters Jennifer considers it, then pulls up the Wikipedia entry on electricity, on her cell phone, and offers it in Minoke's direction. "That should give you the units involved? If that still doesn't work out, I can ask. Though, honestly, titanium's still going to be something I'll have to ask about. Do you have access to any currency? Wealth?"
Minoke Minoke just studies it, pondering. "Alternating current..." She blinks. "This is a curious contraption..." She then blinks. "I can handle many different types of current - but there is some that's too strong even for me - like some kind of lightning." She ponders. "What kind of things can be used for barter here? I assume Tivan credits are not accepted here?"
Jennifer Walters "Given that I've never heard of them? Probably not. Most things have some inherent value and can be sold. Otherwise you'd need to either apply for some form of official asylum, or earn local currency through work." Jen answers. "Can't let you keep it; it's a portable computer and communication device. But again, I can probably at least point you in the right direction."
Minoke Minoke ponders. "Well... I have some silver and gold bars in my ship that I earned on Knowhere fixing starship hulls. Are those of any value here?" she asks. "A few pounds each."
Jennifer Walters "THAT will probably get you everything you need." Jennifer states. "Do you have a place to stay while you're here, or are you homeless?" She's taking that practical approach.
Minoke Minoke smiles faintly. "I have no home. Some scientist who ran like red lightning met me when I crashed - he brought me here. But he was kinda... creepy. So I left." She ponders. "I have nowhere to stay right now." She then ponders. "Why are you green by the way? You don't seem to be Coluan..."
