Amethyst Outside the Hall of Justice it's a chill winter's day. That doesn't seem to bother the blonde much. She sits on the stairs before the Hall in her blue and purple battle armor idly inspecting her toes. Despite the lack of movement, her sash flutters and stirs with the slightest breeze from a passer by and she looks wholly out of place. Leaning back on one hand, she reaches up to adjust her tiara and watch the sky with a passive expression.
Kar'ras     Kar'ras passed by the hall of justice a long time ago, looking around for people to help out. When he comes back to see someone in battle armor appearing he goes to fly down and lands by the woman. "You are invading earth, yes?" Kar'ras asks before clenching a fist. "I will not let anyone invade this world while I live on it." He says calmly as he watches and studies the woman.
Amethyst Looking up, Amethyst grins and shakes her head. "Hardly. More stranded. You haven't seen a blond, English magician in a trench coat have you?" She asks and pushes to her feet slowly. "See, sometimes he works with the Justice League, so I've been waiting for him to sense I'm here and open the portal back to Gemworld." She explains and looks Kar'ras up and down. "So who are you? I don't recognize you."
Kar'ras     Kar'ras seems to relax a little when told of her plight. "I do not know any english people, everyone speaks english yes?" He asks before changing the subject. "You are stranded from your home world? I am avoiding my home world. My master will find me and put me back to work killing aliens." Kar'ras says as he smiles and looks around. "I shall help you look. I am Kar'ras of Tamaran. I am officially one of the titans so I am trying to prove myself to my friends."
Amethyst "A titan? I see." Amethyst offers a hand. "Princess Amaya Amethyst." She introduces herself. "It's a dimensional thing, I'm not an alien. Well, not by Earth standards. And English people are from a place called England-but they do speak English." She agrees and pauses to consider that. "That's not the most straightforward of naming conventions, is it?"
Kar'ras     "Oh." Kar'ras files the english from england tidbit away for future perusing. For now he wanted to help the woman. "So magic, My master once spoke of it. He made my implants able to absorb magical energy as well as most other types of energy. I wish I can help you but I do not think I can use magic." He says softly as he watches her. "So this Gemworld, what is it like?" He asks curiously.
Amethyst "It's....complex. Exotic, beautiful, a little more archaic." Amaya shrugs. "We don't like Fir-Earth folk there. My people left Earth when magic started to be shunned." She explains and looks about. "What's your planet like? I think I've heard of it before, but not like-in detail." The princess' words are quiet as she idly scans the crowd. "I might have to resign myself to being Earth bound for a while." She murmurs under her breath.
Kar'ras     "I only know a little about my home world. I was taken as a babe and trained to be a weapon for my master. This is the first time my master hasnt sent people after me...I have been augmented by my master's technology. My master has an arrangement with Kormand'r, the ruler of my homeworld. In return for creating an army of Supersoldiers out of Tamaranean people, he is allowed to experiment on us to make us more weaponlike." Kar'ras says softly as he looks to her. "I will help you get home."
Amethyst Listening, Amaya wraps her hands around her elbows under her chest. "That's wretched. We had a...wicked ruler trying to over throw my homeworld once....we sealed him away before I took power and became...well, the ruler." She hunches her shoulders a little and looks back to the people milling about. "There's one crystal in all of Earth that connects to my world. I asked the magician to hide it for me. Only problem is finding him now."
Kar'ras     "Well if you ever need someone to help you out, you can always call on me." Kar'ras says as he looks around. "A blonde englishman wearing a trench coat. That cant be too hard to find." Kar'ras says as he looks around to see if he can find anyone matching the description.
Amethyst "Well, he was blonde last I saw him. Constantine." Amaya offers and looks to the Hall. "I suppose I ought to talk to someone, if I'm going to be here a while again. No use in sitting around for another couple days." She murmurs and looks at Kar'ras sidelong. "I'm very sad someone did cruel things to you. You seem to be happy on Earth at least."
Kar'ras     "Constantine." Kar'ras says as he looks around. "CONSTANTINE!" He yells as loud as he can and looks around for anyone answering to the name. when no one answers he huhs and just looks back to Amaya. "I guess he isnt around. Does he come this way often?" He asks curiously.
Amethyst "He isn't about. He'd sense me." Amaya says and pauses. "At least, I hope he would." She laughs a little and looks around. "He works with the League." She notes. "I used to be able to find him, but he's moved, time's clearly passed here." She observes and scrunches her face thoughtfully. "Who does one speak to I wonder, to establish temporary lodging on Earth?"
Kar'ras     Kar'ras turns to her and gestures. "There are places here where you can pay for lodgings. If you want I can ask the titans and see if they can house you until you get back to your realm." Kar'ras says as he watches her. "I want to help." He says with a friendly smile.
Amethyst "I don't have Earth money." Amaya admits and pats her uniform. "I grew up on Earth, but I was in hiding with my mother. I'm not even sure that my identity was legitimate." She admits and sweeps her blonde locks back from her face. "If the Titans are interested in housing extra-dimensional rulers, I'd be pleased as punch."
Kar'ras     Kar'ras smiles. "The Titans help those who need it. They helped me when I had no where to go. They will help you." Kar'ras says with a smile as he floats into the air. "Can you fly? If not I can carry you to where we live."
Amethyst "Fly? Not on my own." Amaya shakes her head and looks at Kar'ras. "I still can't believe people can just-fly, but then, I'm....complicated to. You said you absorb magical energy? You might not want to touch me...I don't know what would happen." She admits softly.
Kar'ras     Kar'ras watches her curiously and raises a hand over her head as if to try and pull some energy from her. Unable to do so, he takes off his sash to reveal it is long enough to be a cape. He then wraps it around her and tries to touch her. He can feel the magical energy radiating from her and lets go quickly.
Amethyst Looking up at Kar'ras, Amaya stands still and waits patiently. "You can feel it?" She asks and links her hands behind herself idly. "You probably want to be careful. You won't drain me, but, it's a lot-the magic."
Kar'ras     "Then we walk. Or get one of those vehicles called Tazi? Taxi?" Kar'ras says as he watches her and puts his sash back around his waist and begins to walk with her. "How come you have so much energy? Dont you risk blowing up?" He asks curiously.
Amethyst "It's...sort of complex. I shouldn't exist." Amaya tells Kar'ras as they start to walk. "I can't pay a taxi. Walking is fine." She shrugs. "I won't blow up. But, essentially, I'm the ultimate catalyst. My mother is Queen of Gemworld, and my father was a Lord of Order, a title I inherited. The only human one-as it happens." She looks up at the Titan.
Kar'ras     "I have some money, but yes probably best to walk." Kar'ras says with a smile and nods at her. "So you are an extremely powerful magical person. Does this mean anyone can do magic around you?" He asks curiously as he watches her. "I can deactivate my absorbing pads while holding onto you, so it is possible to carry you. Most people dont like being carried by me. They prefer the one I acknowledge as my queen carry them."
Amethyst "No...at least I've never heard of anyone spontaneously being able to do magic around me. But then, everyone in my world is at least a little magical." Amaya says and ambles around. "I don't want to hurt you, I understand overload is a thing." She's never felt it however. "Why would I have a preference about being carried?"
Kar'ras     Kar'ras shrugs. "I think it is because Starfire is a beautiful woman and I am just a humble man. Not as attractive as her." Kar'ras says as if it was nothing special. He then nods. "I can turn off my implants. I normally dont because I prefer to keep my solar battery charged but they can be shut down." He says as he walks with her.
Amethyst "That's interesting to know." Amaya murmurs and walks along. "I'm not one to fuss over pretty girls. You know?" She pauses and shakes her head. "I mean, we just met, so you don't know." The princess skips a few steps and tries to look about. "How long a walk is it to your umm, base thing?" She asks and looks up at Kar'ras.
Kar'ras     "A long distance. It is probably better if we flew, then it would be closer." Kar'ras says as he closes his eyes for a moment and the gems in the center of his hands darken and he nods. "Now I can carry you." He says as he offers to do that so they could fly off together.
Amethyst "Please don't drop me." Amaya says and holds still, uncertain how the flying is done. She looks at Kar'ras evenly. "You really think they won't mind, your team mates?" She asks and takes a slow breath.
Kar'ras     "They helped me and I am an escaped slave." Kar'ras says with a friendly smile as he holds her. He then begins to slowly lift into the air and fly off towards the tower, flying slowly so not to freak out the princess.
Amethyst "That's a fair point." Amaya agrees and looks around as they take to the air. "Doesn't it make you angry? Being treated like that before you came to Earth I mean?" She asks and holds onto Kar'ras to help avoid falling possibilities.
Kar'ras     "For the longest time I didnt fight it. I was raised from a young age to kill and was taught to think of killing like a game. Killing was no different then playing to me. It wasnt until one of the races I was invading nursed me back to health, and taught me it was wrong. That was four years ago. I been escaping ever since. This is my third attempt to hide away on a remote world away from the galactic center."
Amethyst "Wow. I mean, I learned I was a princess around then. Three or four years ago. Time moves differently here." Amaya comments and looks over the city. "Do you like flying?" She asks and looks at Kar'ras curiously. "It does seem convenient-faster than taxis."
Kar'ras     "My people can all fly. We collect solar energy and use it to propel ourselves. This solar battery was the reason why I was taken from my home as a babe. I have been augmented to absorb energy into my solar reserves and use them to strengthen me, or make me more durable. Any type of energy can be absorbed, even kinetic." He says calmly.
Amethyst "That's really interesting. All kinds of energy? That has to be a lot of input, it's not overwhelming? I mean, I'm sure you're used to it by now probably." Amaya guesses and holds on a little tighter. "A whole world of people that can fly. So, no cars or planes or anything like that? We get by on horses and pegasus, technology isn't a thing since we all have magic."
Kar'ras     Kar'ras nods. "We have spaceships. And basic vehicles meant to transport multiple people at the same time. But other then that, everyone flies." Kar'ras says. "Koriand'r, also known as Starfire can tell you more about tamaran then me. As I said I was raised offworld." He says as he begins to head to the tower now.
Amethyst "I see. I have been learning about my world, but I'm not wanted there, so it's easier. I was raised here, on Earth thinking I was human and I just had this weird survivalist for a mother teaching me about sword play and various gems and their properties, survival stuff." She murmurs and looks back at the man flying her.
Kar'ras     "The computer program who helped me out got deleted for helping me escape the first time. After that, getting help was difficult." He says as he flies them to the tower.
