Kitty Pryde It is early in the afternoon. Classes are starting to let out. There were few in the halls to see Bobby and Kitty wheel her luggage down to her room. Kitty loses sight of Bobby as she stands up the suitcases and then turns to open the door to her old room. The sight of everything in the room being covered with tinfoil causes Kitty's mouth to drop open. "Bobby!" she says, whirling about to find he's already made a hasty retreat.

"Oh for the love of everything that is holy and a few things that aren't," Kitty says with a sigh. She shakes her head and walks in. "At least he didn't freeze everything to the ceiling this time," she says.

Kitty's luggage, two large suitcases and two carry-ons, plus a smaller tote, are left beside her doorway as she begins tearing foil off of things. She tries phasing just the foil off of a wrapped book, but getting just the foil is slow enough going she can just tear it off faster. "So going to have to get him back," Kitty mutters to herself. She looks around for Lockheed, but apparently the dragon is off somewhere else, leaving her to undo the prank on her own.
Genesis Genesis, AKA Evan Sabahnur, was just exploring the premises! He hasn't really been in this side of the building much. (in fact, he's not entirely sure he's allowed to?) But! the sounds of someone screaming the name of 'Bobby' (which can surely only mean good things) has Evan doing a bit of a double take. He wears a perfect tuxedo, well-fashioned like this is some kind of boarding school. A black tie around the collar of his white shirt. Evan's blue eyes find Kitty as she looks rather angry.

"Are you alright?"

Evan was kind of nervous to approach. Laura was terrifying when she was mad, so...it's safe to assume that other women are terrified when angry as well.
Erika Kristasdottir Erika Kristasdottir pokes her head in the doorway, a young teen dressed in athletic clothes and black leather gloves, with a lunch bag on her back and smelling faintly like a fresh cut lawn for some reason.

"Woah, new person. Hey. What's up? I'm Erika. Who are?" She looks around the room and bags a bit, hmming.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde doesn't actually seem angry, the cry of Bobby's name not withstanding. She's taking the prank of everything in her room being wrapped in aluminum foil in good measure. Even if she puts on a grumbling countenance at times, it seems more good-natured than not.

The twenty-year-old looks up as she hears Evan in the doorway. "Oh, hello. Yes, I'm fine. Other than..." Kitty says, turning to the room as her words trail off, using a two-handed gesture to the foil-wrapped contents of the room to indicate what she's referring to. There is already a healthy-sized pile of torn and wadded up tinfoil on the floor by her feet. Growing larger with each possession, painting, book, or other item that she unwraps.

The addition of Erika causes Kitty to stop the unwrapping for long enough to give them both a more normal greeting. A friendly smile and a little wave. "Hi there. I'm Kitty Pryde. Any resemblance to the Tin Woodsman is strictly temporary," she says with a motion towards the room. "Oh for the love of... he wrapped the entire bed." she says, looking at it. Kitty looks back to the pair. "Students? Or teachers?" Kitty asks them.
Genesis Evan looks to Erika, giving her a little friendly wave. At least he's friendly! though his eyes also go to Kitty, the spotlight currently on her as it were. But he seems to smile in a very friendly manner. "I'm sorry about the mess. Do you need help?" Evan approaches, kneeling next to her bag so he can help her straighten all of this out.

To Erika, he invites to help out too. though for Kitty, he seems to sigh. "It sounds like this is what some boys do when they like a girl. At least when they do things to this extent." he shakes his head lightly, as if not understanding it. "I am a student. A recent one, relatively speaking."
Erika Kristasdottir Erika Kristasdottir blinks. "I'm fifteen. What kind of teachers do you have here if you aren't sure? How about you?" She looks around the room at the foil and frowns.

"Seriously? Foil? Why? Sorry, I can't do anything cool to help here. I'm already worried about getting hit in the face from this stuff. Ugh. And if a guy does something like this because he likes you, leave him in the bin until he learns how to talk like a normal person."
Kitty Pryde "Any help would be appreciated. Thank you," Kitty tells them when Evan offers. "Well, that is the case with some boys. Though in this case, he's just an itinerant prankster. And an old friend," Kitty says as she unwraps... well she isn't sure what it is until she unwraps it. A hair brush.

"Though I wonder how long it's been like this. I didn't tell anyone I was coming home," Kitty muses to herself before looking back to Evan and Erika. "I graduated about a year ago. Have been attending Oxford," she tells them. Erika in particular gets a reply of, "Well, appearance of age can be deceptive when it comes to mutants. So I did not want to make too many assumptions. So you are Erika? Nice to meet you Erika. And I don't think I caught your name," Kitty says, the last part to Evan.
Genesis Evan looks to Kitty, nodding softly. "Evan Sabahnur. People just call me Genesis though." He smiles....and yes, it's probably why he does't have many friends. He bears a strong, almost freaky resemblance to Apocalypse and because of his last name. Either way, he reaches to shake Kitty's hand.

"Well, welcome back to the school." he glances softly to Erika, tilting his head. "Are you usually able to do something cool with things that are not tin foil?"
Erika Kristasdottir Erika Kristasdottir nods. "If you ever lose something, ask me. I probably picked it up. Awesome pack rat powers. I keep things for a couple days after I sort them, just in case. It's kind of a habit."

She blinks at Evan. "Duh. Not usually much with stuff I pick up, but like.. There's a reason they send me in a different room to take tests." She hmphs and doesn't elaborate on the rest of the process.
Kitty Pryde The way that Kitty's slender eyebrows peak for a moment, it seems she might have drawn a connection between Evan's last name and the resemblance his face bears to another, much much older being. The surprised expression fades quickly though. Kitty is apparently not going to ask in front of another student the questions she might have.

Because teens have enough trouble fitting in without bringing up resemblances to genocidal super-villains.

One of Kitty's normal, warm expressions returns to her face quickly enough. "If you picked up a small flying dragon in the last few minutes? That one's mine," she tells Erika. "Or I'm his. Depends on who you ask."

More tinfoil is added to the pile. Kitty peels the tinfoil off the bed, looking at the green and cream bedding. "I think I need a new bedspread. Never really cared for the color of this one," she comments thoughtfully.
Genesis Genesis seems to smile softly to Kitty, rubbing the back of his neck. He currently wonders if Kitty now severely distrusts him or some such. but he seems to smile softly. " I do not recall seeing a small dragon...perhaps I will tell you if I end up finding them?"

his eyes shift to Erika, a soft smile on his face. "Ah...strange. Is your mutant abilities based on touch?"
Erika Kristasdottir Erika Kristasdottir tilts her head. "Saw from a distance. Didn't think much about. I assumed he was a student or something."

She nods at Evan. "Yeah, I'm a psychometrist. And I don't want to know all your deep dark secrets. God. It sucks so hard when people get all weird on me."
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde doesn't seem to be showing any negative emotions or body language towards Evan. Nor towards Erika for that matter. The opposite, there is generally a warm, likeable quality to the young woman most of the time. "Not a student. He's an extra-terrestrial, named Lockheed. Saved us from The Brood. We kind of bonded," Kitty says. "He's pretty quiet by our standards. Some people take his silence to mean he's not sentient."

Kitty listens with interest to Erika's ability. Her expression softens a little bit at the mention of people getting weird on her. "I don't imagine there's much exciting about me to worry about being read anyway, so no worries, Erika." Kitty looks about the room. "And I haven't even touched this stuff in a year, so it would be old news if you did read something you didn't mean to."
Erika Kristasdottir Erika Kristasdottir shrugs some. "It's not my fault. Anyway, what are you here? Are you like the other college types that are showing up or what? And what do you do, since I have to talk about some of my vaguely incriminating abilities that people only remember when they want to be super private?" She grins with forced humor.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde gets the bed clear of tinfoil. That adds a lot to the pile. "Going to have to recycle this," Kitty says of the pile before looking back up and over to Erika. "I'm one of the X-men. Shadowcat. I'm just back visiting the school for now. Though I imagine Professor X will probably try to press me into service somehow," she says with a soft grin. "As for my mutant ability? I'm a phaser. Of the walk through walls type, not the Star Trek one."

Kitty's body takes on a mildly see-through appearance, and she walks over through the bed as if it - or more accurately, she - was nothing but a ghost. She walks back out of the bed, checking nothing is in the way before returning her body fully to the normal world. "No super strength or eye-beams out of me. I tend to do a number on electrical systems if I go through them, though," she says.
Erika Kristasdottir Erika Kristasdottir ooohs, "Oh, neat. I bet you get left at home a lot too. You can hang out with me if you want."

She shrugs a little. "I don't know what you guys have been up to lately, other than like..." She looks over at Evan, "... Some stuff I helped with yesterday, but Sam acted like it was a secret."
Genesis Evan seems to either just daydream for a moment, before he returns his atention to the pair of ladies before him.. "Oh? I apologize, I seemed to have drifted off for a moment. He smiles softly to Erika. "Oh? What do you mean it was like a secret? I didn't think that was his kind of thing."

Evan seems to be curious now, before he looks to Kitty. "Shadowcat." he repeats the name.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde wads up more tinfoil. The room is starting to look more like a room and less like an attempt to filter out the brainwaves that the CIA is beaming into the occupant's head.

Hey, it isn't paranoia if they really are out to get you.

Kitty gives an understanding look to Erika. "There was some of that, at first. But there are plenty of ways to be useful to the team. If you're feeling some trouble fitting in there, we can sit down sometime and talk about it if you'd like? They don't leave me at home, now no," Kitty says, her tone more encouraging than prideful.

Kitty gives a nod to Evan as he repeats her name. "I've gone by a few others as well. Sprite. Storm came up with that one. Ariel. That was the Professor's name for me. I eventually went with Shadowcat. After I... ah... tried to kill Logan," she says. Kitty waggles a finger at her head. "Brain washing, not my choice. Don't worry, I'm long since better. Now if I try to kill him? Strictly my own doing." Though there is the impression Kitty is referring to real events, it's also said in a lighthearted way that might take some of the surprise out of it.
Erika Kristasdottir Erika Kristasdottir ehns, "It was like, an opsec thing." Because that obviously explains everything. "I mean, he was just squirrely about it, and like, he didn't know how much intel I was going to get, and he didn't want everyone hearing it. Totally reasonable, I don't know which intel was secret is all."

She nods at Kitty, "I'd like that! Oh, and if stuff goes wonky, I'm Souvenir."
Genesis Evan looks to Kitty, tilting his head at her for a while. "Sprite...Ariel?" he rubs his forehead. "Which name would you prefer to be known by?" he asks curiously, like he didn't want to accidentally insult her if he just called her Kitty.

"But it sounds as if you have both been throug ha rather great deal. I am glad you both seem to be doing better."

"So then...Genesis, Souvenir, and Shadowcat. It is always nice to make new friends."
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde gives Erika a warm smile. "Souvenir. Great name! See, if they'd come up with ones like that for me right away? I wouldn't have changed," Kitty says, flashing Erika a big smile. The room is looking better and better. Other than the big pile of wadded up tinfoil in the middle of it.

"Oh, if we're on a mission in costume, Shadowcat. Otherwise, Kitty is great. Kit, Kitty. Kat, Kit-Kat. Seems like everyone ends up finding their own nickname for me. Katherine is my given name," she adds, to clarify the Kat ones. "Or you can be like Logan," Kitty says. She puts on a serious face and says in her best imitation of his deep, grumbly voice. "Pryde."

Kitty smiles to Evan, giving his shoulder a soft clasp. "It is. Great to be home. Great to have new people to get to know and be friends with," Kitty agrees.
