Logan     Outside of the mansion snowfall blankets Xavier's in a lovely shade of bright white that continues to fall slowly, steadily, just gentle powder that though pleasant now will likely drift heavier once the sun sets. Within Xavier's the hallways are fairly alive with activity as students rush hither and yon, laughter echoing in the manor as class has only just let out.
It's a somewhat mad rush of motion, but off to the side outside one of the classrooms, there is an island of three souls standing immobile while the wash of chaos flows around them. One of them being the grim X-Man known as Logan, and then two students known as Taylor Ludlow and Joey Payne. Each of those students look a smidge over fourteen, one of them has sharp spines on his face, while the other has glowing eyes. But one thing in common at this moment they both have is a look of utter remorse and downcast eyes as apparently the Wolverine has a bone to pick with them.
"So, you got an explanation? Start spillin' it." He holds a pair of papers in hand, gesturing with them.
"I just... you see we..." Taylor starts.
    "She said we could!"
At that Logan scowls deeper, "Let me get this straight." He squints, glowering one way, then the other. "Missy Monohan, the mute gal in yer class, said... you could copy off her paper. You realize I can smell when yer lyin'?"
Kurt Wagner     And the mansion had been abuzz with the latest gossip - Kurt was returning from his sabbatical to Germany soonish. And the complaints of vague rotten egg smells around the staff quarters were beginning again. Kurt had returned! And had spent much of the afternoon getting settled in again. Folding his clothes, bamfing down to the laundry room and other places.

And now he was here. Dressed casually in a red sweater over a grey-plaid shirt and slacks, he went barefoot, of course, striding just as casually out to the field alongside Logan.

"Plus," Kurt says, his tail bobbing behind himself as his luminscent yellow eyes look to the students, one of his hands coming up to clap Logan's shoulder heartily, before pulling his hand away. "Lying is bad for the soul," he adds gently, his smile flickering between the two other students.

"Did you two not study?" he asks.
Rogue Rogue emerges from the western hallway, she's wearing a red wine colored tshirt and a dark gray scarf around her neck, a pair of matching long gloves that go up past her elbows, a pair of blue jeans with a pattern of swirls embroidered on the outsides of her thighs and a pair of simple black boots. Her two-toned hair is combed straight and nice, she's a Teaching Assistant now, after all... she looks presentable as ever!

With an armload of books held up against her right side in the crook of her right arm, she strides into the main foyer and first looks to Logan. She catches some of what he's saying to the other, but its Kurt in the corner of her eyes that draws her attention. She grins bit at him and raises her left hand to wave the gloved palm and fingers at her oldest friend.
Logan     Taylor and Joey are the first to react, looking away from Logan, avoiding the smirking glances of the occasional student who dashes by, but then giving Nightcrawler a double take as it's the first time they've probably seen him. Subtly widened eyes give him the once over.
    "No, no, sir."
But then Logan's rumbling voice lashes their attention back to him.
"Hey, I'm the one chewin' you out."
A brief pause as he quirks an eyebrow, looks up at Kurt and grunts. "Elf." Though his eyes are alight. He keeps it stern and growly for the kids.
Back to them he says, "Usually I don't deal with this junk." He shakes the pages of the copied tests in his hand and scowls, "But you got me missin' out on my pre-dinner beer. So I'm feelin' vindictive. Get outta here, up to yer rooms. Next few weekends yer mine for grounds keepin' duty. Don't go makin' any plans."
That has them both shuffling their feet and groaning, having known famously amongst the students that that means weekends of tough tough labor.
"Alright, get outta here. Tireda lookin' at you."
And with that the kids join the rush of students and head on off.
Kurt Wagner     "That is good," Kurt amends to Logan, having stared stoically off at the two children as they dart away. "It'll be a good lesson to teach them - cheating is very serious, and if they have to get it out of their systems with a few weekends of your groundskeeping..." he pauses, grinning ever wider. "Well. Just don't be /too/ hard on them, ja?" he offers to Logan.

"Logan, my friend! How have you been?" he asks.

It was around this moment though, that he spies the motion out of the corner of his eye. It was the sight of one of his oldest friends that has his fanged mouth parting in a smile, his glowy eyes darting to Rogue as she arrives. "Rogue!" he says. And in a few moments he does leave Logan be, to offer a hug to her.

Just an offer, judging where she was in the personal touch journey. "I have returned! Please, both of you, do not be too overwhelmed."
Rogue Rogue doesn't acknowledge Logan either! Not after she saw Kurt anyway. She hadn't seen him in ages afteraall and when he comes to her she does offer to hug him back, Her only exposed skin is her face and a bit beneath her tee-shirt sleeves before her gloves take over the protecting people job.

"I'm overwhelmed!" She tells him. "Deal with it." And after that she releases him from the hug and gives his arm a squeeze with her free hand. "Where the heck have ya been?" She asks him.

She does finally then look back over to Logan and grins lightly at him. "Scarin' the kids, Logan?" She asks the much, much, older man.
Logan     The stoic seeming Logan keeps his posture until the kids are around the corner and running up the stairs. It's then that his facade breaks and his lips curve up, "Kurt." A step forwards and he'll give the German mutant a thump on the shoulder and draw him into a hearty masculine bro-hug with one arm and loud /thud/thud/thud/ on the back before holding him out at arm's length. "S'good ta see you."
Then he steps back to bring Rogue further into their small circle as he looks sidelong towards her. "She used ta be all Ms. Big Time runnin' around with the Avengers, but has started slummin' it with us again."
Back to Rogue he says, "Yeah, lil bastards were cheatin' off the Monohan girl." The jerks.
Kurt Wagner     It was a warm, open hug that he bestows upon Rogue, with a squeeze against her shoulder, tail lashing behind himself. Although he holds his hands up as if surrendering at what she adds, only to let that joke go with a widening smile. "Germany, of course. I had thought that I had let you know, but perhaps something got missed. Will you forgive me that?" he offers to Rogue, turning his eyes back towards Logan at that, that smile lingering on his lips.

It was easy for him to pivot to the bro-hug, and indeed he does, his wide hand to clap against the man's back. "Good to see you too," he offers. Withdrawing from personal contact, he takes an easy stance.

"An avenger?" he questions. "Mein Gott! Did they make you wear an iron man suit and everything?" he asks, looking back to Rogue. "And Logan is right, they did deserve it."
Rogue Rogue gives a big ol' smirk at Logan's response. "Damn kids." She says. "I can say that now, ya know... cause I'm a T.A." She winks at the Wolverine then before she looks back at Kurt and just grins at her old friend from 'back in the day'.

"Only part I won't forgive ya for is that ya didn't take me with ya." She replies to him, grinning at him. "I ain't been t'Germany... would love t'see it." Another light laugh is released and she shakes her head at the Avengers question. "I'm more durable than any'a Starks suits. He wishes he could make something as tough as me." She raises her left arm and flexes it... there's more strength there than the eyes would see, to be sure! Decptive appearances!

Her hand drops back to her side, her gloved palm slapping quietly against her thigh. "I took some time away, and Doctor Strange set me up with a gig with'em. Was a heck of a learnin' experience. But yeah, its their thing... doesn't really suit me that well. This all here?" She exhales softly. "Is much more my style. Goin' away for a bit gave me the perspective t'realize that."
Logan     Arms folding over his chest as he shifts his weight to his back foot, Logan looks between them and gives a nod. "But, ta be fair, things ain't all wine and roses." He uncurls a hand towards Kurt and tells him, "We got two primary things up in the air right now, workin' our angles."
Stepping to the side he looks up the hallway and his nostrils flare subtly, then he starts to elaborate. "We have had some issue with what seems ta be mystical body doubles takin' runs at the school and other places. Got a..." He spares a glance at Rogue and then back to Kurt, "A spare Rogue sittin' in storage downstairs. Illyana was workin' on it. Still in progress."
Then he pushes a rough hand through that wild mane of his hair and grimaces, "On top of that been workin' with some people about the anti-mutant robot things goin' down in Russia."
Psylocke Another figure comes wandering out of the mansion, having picked up on the mental signature that felt familiar when she got into range. Betsy is not dressed at all like usual. Typically while teaching her English class, she's worn tailored pants and a dress shirt, often heels.

Today? She's in a tracksuit, purple with a white stripe down the outside of the legs. The jacket is worn open with a white tank top underneath. Athletic shoes are on her feet. Around her neck hangs a whistle.

She quickly zips up the jacket upon arriving in the cool air but trots down the stairs then joins the small gathering. "Kurt, it's good to have you back."
Kurt Wagner "Well, you must forgive me," says Kurt then. "The next time, you will be allowed to come, I promise you this," he says, bringing up his hand to touch his heart in the promise. "It is where I grew up. And it is good to go back, and see those places again. To see the churches, the cathedrals. To see how it changes, from time to time," he says, heaving a wistful sigh.

Kurt believed the strength in Rogue's arm, hinted at by his little grin.

"A family. For those of us without one," he suggests, glancing around the room significantly.

His eyes narrow a bit at what Logan says, thoughtfulness spreading across his expression. "Doppleganger," he murmurs, rubbing at his chin with thumb and forefinger, eyes darting between the other two. "I'd like to talk to Illyana too. She left me, some... ah... flowers, in my room," he says.

But that thought doesn't last long upon his features before he looks to Psylocke, offering her a hug as well. "Psylocke! You look well. You do not have a doppleganger like Rogue does, do you?" he asks.
Rogue Rogue's green gaze shoots over to Logan again. "I thought we burned that?" She says to him then, glancing around to make sure no students are near by. "I thought it was gone..." She mutters, then sighs sharply.

Her eyes go over to Betsy as she sees her descending the stairs, she smiles to her but doesn't otherwise say nothing for the moment before her gaze goes back to Kurt. She grins lightly at him again. "Last time I went back t'the place I'm from, they recognized me and called the cops... I had to burn tread'n get the heck outta there. But your home? I'd be down t'see that."

Her eyes go wide then at the flowers part. "Oh god, not the tongue demon teeth flowers. Those aren't still here are they? I can't sleep knowin' they're around..."
Scott Summers     "Do you mean actual flowers or ash in the shape of petals?" Scott asks as he steps down the stairs, his dress nothing as so refined as Rogue's booty shorts or Betsy's purple addidas. "She wanted to examine it a bit more before finally disposing of it, but the job is still Illy's." Scott says, his hand on the banister, though he wears a muted red button down shirt with a light blue tie slightly undone and he has on a pair of dark blue jeans, feeling business casual today.

The red lenses look over to Kurt and he smirks slightly. "Glad to have you back Kurt. Seems like everyone's coming back lately." The X-leader says with a cant of his head as he looks upstairs via his x-ray vision. "You're room should be in the same place." He says with a hand to cup his chin in thought.
Logan     From the upstairs railing, a small spiny face can be seen peering /down/ and at the gathering of worthies in the hallway. A spiny face belonging to none other than the Taylor kid who had been getting a chewing out from Logan early on. Of course that face disappears as quickly as it can be seen, but not too quick for the Wolverine.
    "What the? That sneaky lil..."
He turns to the others and scowls, then points at Kurt, "Kurt, good ta see you. I'm gonna go knock some heads around."
And with that he starts striding down the hall ready to play baddest cop. Sidelong he mentions with all the aplomb one talks about taking out the garbage, "Summers."
The next moment he's stomping up the stairs.
Psylocke Betsy gives Kurt a warm hug, always glad to see him. He's like a ray of sunshine around this place. It's good to have him back where he belongs.

"Not yet but it's only Tuesday," she says in response to the doppleganger question. At mention of flowers from Illy, she looks a little confused then snaps her full attention on Rogue at the description she gives.
Kurt Wagner     "They are. I must have blocked them from my memory. But it is... crawling around in my room. I did not know if Illyana intended for it to be a gift or if that is just her... idea of a gift?" says Kurt, sounding a little hesitant. "Perhaps they are a new batch, if the old one was destroyed, but it's, ah... inhabiting my room, currently," he says, rubbing his nose with thick thumb and forefinger.

"It's a good time of the year. The cold in Germany was getting to me - so I suppose I will deal with the cold here in the northeastern seaboard, ja?" he says with a fangy grin.

"Oh, it is. And if it not, well, I have claimed a room, and whoever is in it already will vacate." And Logan was off!

So it was Psylocke that he turns his attention to next.

"Good point," he states. "Someone was so jealous of Rogue that they made a copy. And she is down in the storage chamber, da? A bit like Laura and Logan, but different, as I understand it."
Rogue Rogue watches Logan storm off and she pffs softly. "Futile." She says. "Can't change that kid." Thats her professional opinion on that topic anyway.

But then Scott shows up and she whines at him. She reaches her left gloved hand out to tug on his sleeve. "The demon teeth tongue flowers are still heeeeere. I can't handle that _and_ my corpse still bein' downstairs! Dooo somethin' about it! Find Illyana!"

Rogue turns around then and sets her books in her right arm down onto one of the tables near the wall. She plops down into one of the fancy chairs alongside the table and she pulls her phone out and starts to tap on it with her thumbs, muttering what she's typing. "Someone... call... the ghost busters..."
Scott Summers     Scott finishes decending the stairs with a glance to Logan. "No punching the students. No, no harming the students Logan!" Scott says with a sigh and then turns back around to the trio at the bottom.

Scott doesn't say anything to Rogue, he hasn't said much since their discussion about how to be a X-man, so he doesn't push it, assuming she's doing her chores of cleaning the locker room, then she tugs his sleeve. "You're a teachers assistant, you said you wanted more responsibilities." Scott says, crossing his arms. "We're not calling the ghost busters. They're not even ghosts." Scott says with a sigh before looking back at Kurt and Betsy with a frown.

"I'll help you out if Rogue can't handle it, or we'll go ask Illy or someone else who can deal with a few demons." Scott says, jaded as ever.
Psylocke Betsy frowns as even more information comes out. Flowers are crawling around in his room, to the point that he chose to leave the room. "Let me see..." She reaches out but doesn't find the null spot that generally marks Illyana's presence on the campus. "She doesn't seem to be on the grounds at the moment but we all know that can change in an instant."

She gives a slight frown at Scott. "You could be a bit more sympathetic. It must be disconcerting to see one's self in there." After all, she fought herself before. Not the same situation but still.
Kurt Wagner     "Well. I have seen worse demons, ja? It is just... creepy to have come home to that in my room," he says, rubbing his nose between thumb and forefinger. "Unless it spits or does something else strange, it just sorta... crawls around. But as long as it isn't a new student or something, I am certain I can take care of it," he says.

"But ja," he says, looking between the two, open sympathy on his features as he watches Rogue. "It will not be a problem. You will not have to hear about it again!" he says, holding up a single forefinger in that proclamation.
Rogue Rogue is well aware of Scott being mad at her. "Its all right, Betsy. He's still miffed about me throwing that gasoline truck at the ice dragon... nevermind the fact that I disconnected it from the cab AND told the driver t'run away. And nevermind it was Sam's idea."

After a second longer she raises her phone up and turns it around to show it to Scott, she points at the text beneath the GBer logo. "Look." She says and then reads the text. "Do you feel a sense of dread in your attic or basement? Yadda yadda yaddaa... Our courteous, and efficient, staff is on call twenty four hours a day to serve all your supernatural elimination needs." She taps the phone screen repeatedly to take her to the 'Alert the Team' page.

Then she points her finger AT Scott! "You tried t'handle it two years ago. You were all like..." She puffs out her chest and waggles her shoulders as she mocks Scott's voice. "I'm Scott Summers, I'm just gonna eye-beam them and they'll be gone forever! Hum hum, do do do!" Then she slumps her shoulders again and sighs. "It didn't work though! They came RIGHT back!" She is clearly not comfortable this. "I feel dread in my attic, in my basement and everywhere in between!"
Scott Summers     "I do not go Hum hum do do do." Scott says matter of factly, and looks back at Betsy and Kurt, "I do not go hum hum do do do. Do I?" He asks, wanting to be sure.

Scott takes a sigh. "We'll call them if no one else can take care of the demon teeth things." Scott assures Rogue, looking back to Kurt and Betsy to resume. "Let us know if you do need help, I can eye-beam them without ruining your walls or stuff."
Kurt Wagner     Confusion rife upon his features, Kurt glances between Scott and Rogue, looking a bit lost. "There are some things I need to catch up upon, I think," he says, casting one of his bright grins to the pair. But he was stepping back at that. "I think I'll go take care of it, ja?" he says, bowing, with a flourish of his arm. "Guten dag!" he calls. And with a puff of foul-smelling air and a BAMF! he was out.
Psylocke "No, you do not," Betsy assures Scott, likely making him feel vindicated. Until she continues speaking. "At least not verbally. In some ways perhaps though. I think all of us do. We feel we have things in hand when, in truth, they defy our efforts. This seems to be such a case?" she asks, looking at Rogue in question.
Rogue Rogue turns her phone back to look at the screen again, her knees together as she sits in that chair, her booted feet far apart though and her elbows hovering over her thighs as she taps on the screen and reads more. "Holy shit, these guys are expensive." She mutters that, mostly whispers it as she reads their fine print sections.

A second later she looks up to see Kurt gone and she looks around, clearly completely having missed his exit or where he'd gone. But her eyes then land on Psylocke and Scott. After a second she starts grinning at them. "You two doin' anything for Valentine's Day?" She asks, and it immediately sounds loaded. "Scott? Why don't ya ask Betsy out?" She has no idea what the relationship status of either of them is, but she's never seen either of them 'with' anyone. "You two would make a handsome couple..." And she's saying this all in that saucey southern way of hers.
Scott Summers     "She's Married. Rogue." Scott says with a hand motioning to Betsy's left hand and her ring finger as he's looking to Rogue. He assumes she wears a ring. "Plus, I - have this weird feeling I should be talking to Jean a bit more..." Scott says with a weird kind of a frown. "I don't want to ruin the future." Is all Summers says on the subject. "What about you, -Rogue-, who are you going to take out?" Seems like everyone is dating everyone else in this building as it is.
Psylocke "Engaged," Betsy counters immediately. "We haven't quite hammered out the details yet to get married." In truth, they haven't really been in much of a hurry. There is a ring on her finger but it's a diamond engagement ring, not a wedding band. It's modest, not at all flashy and probably was purchased on a budget. In other words, it's absolutely perfect.

She glances to Scott first. "Considering all of these futures are horrible, perhaps you should /not/ spend more time with Jean. Just a thought." Then she looks to Rogue. "Are you seeing anyone?"
Rogue A little more tapping on her phone almost like she's Negasonic... then Rogue looks up when Scott declares that Betsy is-- "Married?" Rogue asks, she stands up from the chair and looks to the one in the purple tracksuit. She listens to Betsy's explanation and then glances at the ring. "Oh, wow... hey. Cool... He's a lucky guy, whoever he is." She grins to Psylocke then. "I hope ya'll figure it out."

At Scott she looks again and slowly shakes her head. "You ain't gonna ruin the future by bein' with Jean. You'd only improve it. Its the resta this damn world we gotta watch out for as far as 'ruinin' things goes."

Then she moves back over to the table to gather up her books and as she turns around she grins at them both. "I got a few hooks on the line... accordin' t'my twitter page, I'm datin' more people than can fit inta a sports arena. Go figure that one out... Ultimately though?" She saunters on past the both of them toward the stairs. "I see whomever I wanna see most!" And with that she starts up the stairs and waves back at them both. On her way up the stairs she shouts up them. "If I see any demon flowers I'm gonna start punchin' things!" She warns... whoever is up there.
Scott Summers     "Don't punch the walls! I Just fixed those!" Scott yells up the stairs towards the hallway Rogue disappeared into. "Dang girl." Scott huffs then looks back to Betsy, "My and Jean's daughter from the future showed up." He blurts out and frowns. "So I think we have to date, or she wont be born." The x-man says with a frown before he sits down on the steps and looks to Betsy. "Tell me it's weird."
