Kitty Pryde It's night in Gotham. The time when the seedy underbelly scuttless out from where it hid or slept out the daylight. Emerging to chip away at the city's prosperity. Its heart. Its soul. But even as the low-lifes begin to take their places on the streets, so to do those who try to stem the tide of harm done to city.

Blackbird has finished her patrol. One of the easier areas. Though she has been in the superhero business longer than others on the Gotham team, she has accepted that the situation here is a different beast. Kitty has just been a good soldier and accepted the rookie role.

Tonight though something else is on her mind. She's up on the top of one of Gotham's more prosperous banks. It has immense gothic gargoyles on the corners. They appealed to her when Kitty first saw them. Probably because the faces remind her of Lockheed a little bit. It's become one of her favorite places in Gotham to go.

Blackbird is sitting crouched on one of the giant stone heads, looking out over the city. Though her thoughts are on something else, something troubling her. Lockheed, image inducer transforming him into a large raven, sits nearby, watching her. Kitty had missed Jason at the brownstone today before going out on patrol. She'd texted him the day before, had to make a trip out of state, would give details later. Then another text. Things gone badly, but safe. Would give details later. But they'd missed each other that night as their duties and patrols kept them on different schedules.
Jason Todd While Blackbird may be a good little soldier, she already knows that Jason colors outside the lines. Often. While she was off doing whatever her other dozen or so roles is, Jason tends to just stick to Gotham. A one-trick pony. Maybe because he's just human. He doesn't really share the reasons behind it.

Getting the messages from Kitty, he finally arrives at the edge of the building and gives a slight smirk beneath his helmet. "Come here often?" he asks, using the cheesiest pickup line he can find.
Kitty Pryde Blackbird looks over at the sound of the familiar voice. Her heart feels lightened by the sound. Like that feeling you have after a long, tiring trip, but now you're standing in front of your open doorway, looking at the interior of your home.

"Every now and then," she tells the red-masked figure. "I heard it's a good place to meet guys," she tells him while affecting a coy smile. She rises smoothly to her feet, and moves over to slide her arms around Red Hood and give him a tight hug. There are hugs, and there are hugs. This one is tighter than normal, like she needs it.

Like she needs him.
Jason Todd "The guys that come here are terrible. They just want one thing." Jason starts to say, and then is suddenly tackled by Kitty. "Whoa whoa. Hey." he says, reaching up take off his helmet.

He's wearing the domino mask beneath, but there's no disgusing the concern. "Hi. So you always throw yourself at guys like this?" he asks her, before turning his attention to her. "Something up?"
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde rests her head against Jason's shoulder. "Yeah. I screwed up. Probably. And, maybe really bad. I'm not quite sure yet," she says with a sigh. She keeps her tug tight for a few more moments before letting up a little.

Kitty straightens up, her hands still on Jason's shoulders though, and leaning against him gently. she reaches up to pull her domino mask off. Though she's looking down rather than looking at him. "You remember that Artificial Intelligence? Norton Agamemnon? It's the one that gave Carrie schematics for the Sentinel's mutant power nullifier. Though I don't know if she got its name," Kitty says.

She lets out an aggrieve sigh. "I thought I was helping it transfer itself into something where it could leave this research lab it was being kept in. Only... it used the component and uploaded itself into a giant robot body. I had no idea the body existed. It had been pleasant or at least neutral, interested in understanding the mutant condition, expressed belief in human rights, etc. But, in that moment it got back into its body - which I realized later was the case - it kind of had all the other machines in the lab celebrating and going, All Hail Megatron. I felt like I was at some... dictator's public speaking engagement where he needed to be lavished with adoration," she says.

"The Sentinels came to try to stop him escaping. Like 2 dozen, but in all three sizes, not all big ones. And he destroyed them all. He's that powerful. The Sentinel cyborg sent a Sentinel under his control to speak to him. Megatron, said he's a warrior from a planet called Cybertron. They parted on good terms, him and the cyborg, though after some small tension. I'm just worried, Jason. I'm worried I let a monster out into the world," she says.
Jason Todd "Megatron? Sounds like an escapee from a 60s sci-fi flick." Jason says with a smirk, though it seems that he's taking things seriously with it at least. "Off dating weird AIs on the net, tsk. Starting to wonder if I'm smart enough to hold your interest."

Reaching up, he brushes his fingers into Kitty's hair. "Did you tell anyone else about this?" he asks, "Was this something that you did on your own?" Though, as the Sentinels are mentioned, he frowns. "So aliens and robots and now alien robots."
Kitty Pryde Kitty leans into his touch, finding solace in it. "I'm starting to wonder if I'm not so stupid I should lose your interest," Kitty says with a sigh. "There were others. People he hired. They didn't know his true intent either. We were in a bind though. The Sentinels were inbound before we gave him the materials. If we didn't do it then, it was very possible they'd realize what happened and there would not be a chance to free him again. I'm sure he probably arranged putting us in that time crunch," Kitty says.

"After seeing what he really was... well, I could have fought him but I was the other's only way out. So I took them instead. I did bring out a scientist from the facility who I'm trying to get answers from. And I had downloaded what my phone would hold from their database, before we'd given him the materials," Kitty says. "I've told the X-men. And I let Stark know about Megatron's existence, if not shared my role in it yet. Though he was there with the cyborg, he and Captain America, when it talked to Megatron after the fight. Tony sent me a video to bring me up to speed."

Kitty sighs. "I feel so stupid, Jason," she says. And finally she looks up at him, the first time she has since their masks came off.
Kitty Pryde Kitty Pryde clarifies, "That is, Tony and Cap were with the cyborg, where the cyborg is being held. They heard the cyborg's talk with Megatron, remotely. They weren't at the facility, which is... was, in Oregon."
Jason Todd "There's nothing for you to be embarassed about. You thought you were helping. It's all you really can do." Jason responds as he gives a slow nod of his head. "Alright, so this Megatron's on the loose. And you have a tie to him. What's your next step?" he asks her curiously.
Kitty Pryde "Gathering as much information as I can to start with. The scientist. The data I pulled. Though I tried using Stark's satellites to track him, lost him after awhile. I can try to make contact with him the same way he did when he was 'Norton', and other means of trying to locate him. Other than that-" Kitty says, before Lockheed provides an interruption.

The dragon, posing as a raven, hops about, then flaps a few times to get their attention. Kitty walks over to the gargoyle head, only reluctantly letting go of Jason when she has to move out of reach. She crouches down and looks below.

There appears to be some kind of meet going on in an alley down below. Two cars each pulled into the alley at opposite ends, and nearly a half-dozen individuals coming from each end to meet in the middle with a space between them. THere are at least four weapons being held openly, a rfile, two submachine guns, and an automatic rifle. One individual on each side has a duffle bag. "Jason, recognize them?" she asks, putting her mask back on.
